Just been watching the World cup, really hoping USA can pull out a win in their next game.
Watching the new Boondocks. Love that show to death. Robert Freeman is the best. Always singing his "new shoes" song to every good thing that happens to him.

Also as Im watching Adultswim...I cant help but hear the sound of the vuvuzeulas from the FIFA World Cup. I love that sound...it means game on.

I just finished watching The Fourth Kind around an hour ago, and now I'm wondering who in the world green-lighted that film. Joblo.com considered it one of the scariest films the reviewer has ever seen. I suspect that moths fluttering against lightbulbs scares this person, as well as accidentally walking through a sliver of a spider's web.

Ip Man

I enjoyed this movie a lot. In terms of story I'm not sure if you're gonna get what you're looking for. I don't know much about Ip Man at all outside of the fact that he taught/trained Bruce Lee. That alone is enough to tell me that the guy is not one to mess with, and his portrayal in the movie by Donnie Yen (GO DONNIE!) was handled rather nicely.

In a way I see quite a few connections to Bruce Lee's Chinese Connection with all the Japanese/Chinese conflicts. While words weren't really said, you can tell what was going on and how everyone was feeling.. I guess that's what I wanna say.

The fighting is where this movie really shined at. I can watch these fights all day everyday. You can tell where wires are used at, but at the same time it don't seem to have been used that much. But still, the fights were fast and the camera positions were spot on. I'm a Tony Jaa fan and all, but Donnie Yen really need more love.

One quarrel though and that's in terms of the dub. While I don't find anything wrong with it and it's really a small issue that can be handled by turning on subtitles, but still when the Japanese comes into story they speak full Japanese. (Or so I think it's the language) Luckily they have a translator in the movie, but when the translator is not around you're left in the dark about what they're talking about. And then you have little prologues... (monologues?) that comes on the screen at times in an entirely different language, but like I said, I think most of it can be solved by turning on subtitles.. (I think I've become able to multitask now) But for those who can't it could become a problem. I'll watch it again with subtitles on next time.

But still, if you're a fan of action and martial arts you need to watch this movie.

Batman: Under the Red Hood

By far this is my favorite DC animated movie. I haven't read any comics whatsoever so I don't whether they captured
Spoiler
correctly. However, I will say that I was expecting a little more from that scene.
Spoiler
as I saw from the snippet in Justice League Crisis on 2 Earth's because the camera would never stay there or rather it would never show the actual hits.

The voice acting was great, although the guy that was doing Red Hood's voice, while his sarcastic moments were great, the areas where he was showing real emotion sounded off. Almost a flip flop where his voice just don't fit. I think the guy they have for the Joker could be a nice replacement for Hamil since he sounds good too. Of course he don't match up to Hamil's portrayal, but I don't think you can go wrong with that guy.

Animation/Action/Artwork is the best I've seen out of all the animated movies I've seen from both Marvel and DC.

Overall I thought this movie was awesome.

Lately I've been pretty much watching every season of the modern (2005+) Doctor Who. Up to the fifth season right now. Enjoying it a lot. Although up until the fifth season I didn't like every single one of the Doctor's companions. Matt Smith's facial structure is a bit creepy. Good show, though. Doesn't seem to leave any plot or character unresolved.

By the time I knew, I was born
Reason or quest, not being told
What do I do, What should I take
Words "God only knows" won't work for me
Nothing starts, Nothing ends In this city
Exists only sever lonesome and cruel reality
But still I search for light
I am the trigger, I choose my final way
Whether I bloom or fall is up to me
I am the trigger

I've become addicted to Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

Not all the sketches are that funny, but occasionally a really small thing happens that makes me fall on the floor laughing. I've become a big fan of Richard Dunn, as a result.

Young Justice is the latest series I'm into at the moment. Best looking animation I've seen so far coming from DC since Batman Under the Red Hood. I thought it would be like Teen Titans but it definately seems a lot more serious and I definately appreciate that.

I am rewatching Evangelion just because I never saw it in order. I am pretty sure I saw most of the episodes, but I was always jumbled up chronologically. If it is half as good as I remember it was, I will be joining James' club.

THREAD REVIVAL IN EFFECT

I just finished watching Requiem for a Dream in AP Psychology. It will take an endless number of showers for me to feel clean agin. It doesn't help that quite a few of my friends do drugs. The teacher asked if the movie was too overwhelming for a high school class. I seriously had to think about my answer, though it was, "No."

I have to say that although the plot was horrifying and made me cry about 7 times, the acting was SPECTACULAR! I especially applaud the woman that played the elderly lady
Spoiler
She was heartbreaking, but excellent.

I have set aside a lot of time to watch Fairy Tale, and I am currently on episode 49. I am not really surprised that the series is this long, because the world has a ton of depth. I kinda went in thinking it was gonna be just another Rave Master, but it really feels much different, and in a very good way, I think this show has tons of strengths, but the biggest one has to be the villains. I really like how they are built up to be really strong, but the main characters are just a bit stronger for the most part. I really disliked the evolution theme anime's like DBZ have, and I much prefer the person you root for to be more powerful. Being an underdog is fun and all, but it really gets old.
Spoiler
This show is really addictive though... they know just when to end so that you are dying to watch another one. ( I could never watch this show on a week to week basis... it would drive me insane.) The only thing I dislike is the painful amounts of crying, friendship speeches, and fanservice.

Hmm... I really need to start watching that series again. I've only been reading the manga. When I first began reading Fairy Tail my problems were the characters themselves. Outside of Erza, there weren't any characters that really stood out, and at that time Erza stood out because of her "strong" role. She was no damsel and she could handle herself. I do remember when I first watched the series I felt that the female characters were more enjoyable though. So maybe it's a manga vs anime thing... "shrugs" But for the most part I still read Fairy Tail, but I hate Natsu (his type of character annoy me even more than damsels now)

As for what I watched. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, that is the name of the animated movie with Brad Pitt right? Anyway, for the most part it was watching me, but from what I saw of the movie it was great, although, I'm kinda wondering if it's my love for great animation/artwork that made this movie shine so much. The voices, or rather Michelle Pfieffer's role as Eries (sp?) was probably the one that stood out the most. Can't explain it too well, but it seemed like Pfieffer brought out the seductive side and, well, it worked. Like I said, though I have to watch it again because I missed a lot of it.
