I'm torn between some songs from Kenshin (Namely the opening and closing themes they started using midway through the Kyoto story), and Outlaw Star's second ending theme...
But since I can't decide, I'll just post my first favorite: Tsuki no Ie, House on the Moon

-----
Sky, far away sky
A whispered voice
Your dream now turns
the wheel of the stars
I feel like
I would never be anywhere,
Until i knew that look in your eyes.
There is but a chip of the moon
in the corner of my heart...
but it shines to light
even the narrowest path.
Gently, the stars
point the way,
and the path before you
becomes a forest of crystals.
Someday, with these hands
protect you
from everything and anything
A warm night
A small house where the moon dwells
It will shine a gentle light upon you
while you sleep
There is but a chip of the moon
in the corner of my heart...
but it shines to light
even the narrowest path.
Arai Akino's voice is sweet enough to melt steel.
