Reoccurring threads

24 February 2003 - 11:52 PM

In the wonderful world of Sony, there are of course many great games, and some excellent games we all love. With the best of the best games, there will generally be lots of discussion about them in the Sony forum, i would appreciate if people would simply take some common sense and instead of starting a new thread about every aspect of the game, simply post in a thread still active.

I can't be in this forum 24/7 to delete, merge, and edit threads. So i would appreciate if people would just use common sense and follow general rules.

Cheers.

Michael Moore - Bowling for Columbine

12 February 2003 - 10:27 PM

I recently saw this movie and thought it was great. I have always been a fan of Michael Moore, and liked this most out of all of his movies.

The thing that surprised me the most was out of all the people interviewed in the film, Marline Manson, who some blamed the massacre at columbine for, had the most intelligent things to say. When asked what he would say to them on the morning of the shootings, when they were thinking about it, and he was the only one who said "I wouldn't say anything... I would listen to what they have to say"

What are your thoughts on this movie?

Hunter repairs

14 January 2003 - 05:30 PM

After many hours of flying the Hunter, and many hours of clipping buildings and power poles (Chopper flyers will know what i mean) i have observed a very strange occurrence indeed. On several occasions when flying the Hunter, and hitting buildings until the smoke from the engine turned to black, i noticed that after this, if i flew around for long enough, without hitting objects, this damage would seem to repair itself. Now, yes, i am aware that this will happen with  a car sometimes, but it usually re-appears after driving a short distance, and will certainly come back when you hit something. Unlike the hunter where the damage, like i said, seems to repair itself.

Now, i may be hallucinating, or i may just be crazy, but it seems to me that it slowly repairs itself, never to full health, but about half way (Someone who has played Red Alert will know what i mean).

Others have observed this phenomenon, including people on this board, like flashy.

It seems to me something very odd is going on indeed. *Plays X-Files music*

Enhancing your Vice City experience

17 December 2002 - 05:33 PM

When I first put the Vice City disk in my PS2, I was filled with joy. Watching the loading screen, and finally, beginning the game. Upon taking control of Tommy for the first time, I thought my disk was broken. Broken you say? Yes, simply because of the shocking colours and blurring effects. I was quite disappointed, but I did not give up, and soon found what I was looking for, the trails option. Upon Turing this off, all the colours looked perfect, and the graphics sharper and clearer.

The one thing every Vice City player must know, is to turn of your trails. This will make the games colours look a lot better, and the graphics sharper. It will also change the colour of that shocking sky from that orange red colour, to blue.

Playstation on top of the world

22 September 2002 - 05:54 PM

In Sony latest sales releases they claim to have shipped over 40 Million PS2s.

That compares to Gamecube’s 1.5 million.

And X-Boxs 274 000.

There have been more copies of GTA VC reserved than there have X-Boxs sold. Now that says something about the X-Box.

Here's the full article for anyone who wants to read it.
