Mario Party 4
Mario Party is one of those weird series. I really enjoyed the first Mario Party...so much so that I bought it.

But I felt that Mario Party 2 and 3 were just too similar to the first game. And even now, I don't play the original anymore. It just got too old and boring for me.

I honestly haven't read much about Mario Party 4, possibly because I'm half expecting it to be so similar to previous instalments. However, I am aware that the game will have all new mini-games and will feature some significant changes.

I'm just wondering if anyone here knows anything about Mario Party 4.

There doesn't seem to be much excitement amongst gaming media at the moment...so I'd like to know what the members here think about this game. Are you looking forward to it? Anything you'd really like to see in this new version?

I know a few people that like this series so much that they act like the game is the main reason to own a GC.

I personally do not like it. I find the board game part boring, and the mini games way too short to be of any fun. This one seems a little more interesting than the previous 3 though, so I might give it a chance.

I am not looking forward to this game. It will just be like all of the others. They are all boring to me and they aren't fun. They should have just stopped at MP3.

Well, I rented and then bought Mario Party 2, and I played it quite a bit with my friends. (4-P games at 5:00 AM can be quite amusing, heh). I, too, didn't think 3 was different enough to be worth buying, though.

However, I have heard that there are going to be big changes in 4, and not just the addition of new mini-games. There'll be more interaction on the actual board, and from some screen shots I've seen, you can be big or small while on the board, and different areas are accessable only when you're big, and some only when you're small.

I dunno, though, if they don't change it quite a bit, I'm not going to buy it. I think one of my friends is planning on getting it, though, and that's almost as good, heh. I think we'll just have to wait and see what they do with it.
