Christmas List
|
Since I don't have the Anime Network channel where I live, what I wish for is mostly anime. It would be nice to have an Internet connection so I don't have to bum of the Internet connection from my local library. Here is my list of anime I want to get my hands on:
This is just a short list of anime I wish for. - Azumanga Daioh (yeah you read that right
)
- Excel Saga
- Fooly Cooly (An expensive series just for six episodes)
- End of Evangelion
- Outlaw Star
Also, I would wish for some Family Guy and The Simpson DVD box sets.
Later and Happy Holidays

Since the thread you originally posted in WiiGamer86 was back from 2002 and therefore six years old, I've moved your post into a new thread. I imagine people's lists from that long ago are either fulfilled or no longer something they want. So when thread is that old, it's best to just start a new one.

This year will be my first venture [hopefully] into a game company I've not touched before -- Microsoft, with their Xbox 360. They've just been releasing too many good games lately...
So, here's my list for Christmas 08:
Xbox 360
Tales of Vesperia [even if I don't get the other games, I'd be happy with just a 360 and this]
Eternal Sonata
Lost Odyssey
Soul Calibur IV
Mirror's Edge
Tales of Symphonia 2
WALL-E on DVD
...Dang, I had some others, but I've forgotten.
I might trim this down a bit too, since all of the games sans ToS2 are 360 games, and those aren't too cheap...

This sentence says something else when you're not looking.

Thanks to Funimation acquiring certain titles, there's now some more anime I'd like to get, whether I ask for them as gifts, or just ask for the money/gift cards to buy them with (most likely).
Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage 1-3
Hellsing Ultimate vol. 4
Welcome to the NHK
There's a also a bunch of classic Doctor Who titles out on DVD that I've fallen way behind on, might ask for a couple of them, maybe.

I have a solid three-page list of music I would like over the course of the next few years, and it's always subject to change. Depends on what I learn about through Pandora, the National Science Foundation, and Viewers Like You.
Found Acroma through them, at any rate.
Since I don't see a reason to try and accrue any other entertainment stuff if I'm not going to use it for ages, I won't be asking for much else. Ultimately, it's just nice stuff to have, and I can't really ever feel the same way about movies/shows/video games as I do about music. The other things are merely time-killers, I guess.
Come to think of it, I should throw together a list of books I want to own. Hmm.

Hahaha. I read all the things I wanted for Christmas that year...good lord. o_o;
Anyway, seeing as I'm older now, Christmas presents arn't so exciting anymore. I can buy most of the stuff I want, myself, so the whole surprise factor is dead. There are a couple things I'll ask for; just because I know my family is going to buy me a few things anyway.
Christmas list 2008
- Players Guide to Zelda: Twilight Princess(GCN), I'm completely lost, of course since I haven't played it in nearly a year..yeah.
- Players Guilde to Zelda: Phantom Hourglass(DS), I got pretty far when I rented the game, when I actually bought it I had to start over. I comepletly forgot what I was suppose to be doing.
- Maybe some diffrent rechargeable batteries for my digital camera
- Some gift cards for the movies or something are always useful.
I honestly can't think of anything else att he moment.

Music and books are always good, and often what I mention when my kids ask me what I'd like to receive for Christmas. This year will most likely be the same.

And here I thought you would have liked series like Agatha Christie's Poirot or Midsomer Murders. I have some of the sets from these series and they just seem like shows that you would enjoy. Though maybe you do and you're just not interested in having them around to re-watch at some point.

No matter how much I ask for the stuff I really want, I get something completely different, so I pretty much stopped asking a long time ago. Christmas presents certainly has lost a lot of it's surprise factor, but I do still enjoy it from time to time.
I'll play along anyway.
-Xbox 360
-Playstation 3
(more reasonable/affordable gifts lol)
-Money/Gift certificates
-Clothes
-dvds (movies, anime, cartoons)
Current Anime: Baccano, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Code Geass, Gundam 00, Naruto: Shippudden, Bleach, Tales of the Abyss, Hunter x Hunter, One Piece
Dropped Anime: Fairy Tail, Inuyasha: Final Act
Completed: Hajime no Ippo, Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger
Current Set: Byakuya (Bleach) Thanks to AV!S

I've come up with a few candidates so far.
The tentative list:
Xbox 360?? Probably not.
New phone? Doubtful.
A chair? I could probably get this any old day, no reason to waste a christmas gift on it.
Mommy and Daddy to get back together? That's so sad! And totally made up.
Gee, i guess i haven't really got a good christmas list going. I've actually just realized that i'll have money this year to buy other people gifts. This is pretty exciting for me, i never have money. Now i just have to figure out what to get everybody. If anybody's got some ideas i'd love to hear them! I've got a sister in college, two brothers in highschool, and two parents. I suppose i could get my kitty a present too.

...And pray.

It's not so much whether or not I like them, or enjoy watching them. Heck, I know of about eight TV series besides those that I plan on eventually owning.
But I'd rather have books and music now. I can buy TV series, movies, anime, and games myself. That's what I did with all the games/systems I own now, so....
My uncle once offered to buy me a bass guitar when I told him I'd like to learn someday, but I told him if he bought it, and not me, I'd probably never use it just because the sense of ownership wouldn't be there.

It is funny how that feeling of suspense disappears each year. Well, mainly, if you make a list, you generally know what you'll be getting.
... still, I do have a list this year. >>
Let us begin:
Most Wanted Items Wanted Ever in All of Wantdom
1) Tales of the Abyss for PS2
2) Mushi-Shi DVD box-set
3) Love and Peace DVD (it’s a samurai film, by the way)
4) After Life DVD (another Japanese film)
5) Gurren Lagann DVD 1 (dub version)
Other Items That Are Also Nice But Not As Wanted as the Most Wanted Items
1) Paranoia Agent soundtrack
2) Jungle Book book
By the way, if people want to suggest a couple items (like maybe some anime), feel free. This list ain't the final draft anyway.
"Never to return, the shadowless one,
Who quests for the Twilight Dragon."

I actually just want money... I know, "How lame," huh?
But I understand my family is running a bit low on cash this year and I don't want to ask for something out of their price range and make them feel bad that they can't get it for me.
Plus, What I actually asked for was clothes, but my parents don't even begin to try to understand what my clothing style is so they've opted just to give me money.
And then the Christmas party. My family decided that since this year is so tight, we're just going to go with a 50 dollar spending limit on Dirty Santa and not buy presents for any specific person. Which is good for me, seeing that I'm a broke college student.
So, I actually already know what I'm getting for Christmas:
-a random gift of the game's choosing (under $50)
-$150 to spend as I wish. (American Apparel, here I come!!!)

Oh, dude, I just thought of something else. :O Animal Crossing: City Folk! I've not played an AC game since the first one, and it looks like funnnn...

Well, this might sound a little pathetic but I want snow (last year we had our first white Christmas and it was a lot of fun) and I also want our family to be back together. We're only separated by distance though, not arguments or anything like that. So I just hope that everyone can find the time and money to travel to be here in time.
Besides that, the usual games and anime that everyone is listing.
As far as an impossible wish goes though, I want the Mirror's Edge sequel since I think they will probably improve a lot on a good idea for a game.
