This is the voting thread for Week 011, where all members of the OtakuBoards community are welcome and encouraged to join and vote for their favorite banner for the week.

Voting will be taking place until Monday February 2nd, 2009 @ 5:00 PM GMT. The next SOTW contest will begin shortly after that date.

A few notes before voting

• We encourage you to both vote in the poll and reply with a post stating who you voted for and why. In the post you can let the participant know what you liked, didn't like and in the latter case, how they could improve. For further information, please read the Art Studio Basics thread, on Constructive Criticism.
• Remember, this is a banner contest. Therefor, please do not vote for someone because you like the person so much, but instead vote for someone because you like the banner over the other banners.
• When voting, you're asked to also look at how well the banner fits the theme. The theme of this week is America.

It was very hard to choose between Kimmeh and Boo. Kimmeh's is graphically stunning (I liked how you represented America through Captain America as that was pretty clever) but Boo's better represents the theme. I've decided to go with Boo because I rather like the pixel-art style and only in America can you die from too much patriotism.

Haku, I liked yours too, don't get me wrong. I do think it could have been better, though. For one I'm pretty sick of seeing Obama's face everywhere (even in Canada he's everywhere!) so I took points off for that. I also think your banner would have benefited from a nice border and a little less pictures overlapping. Other than that it was great!

So my vote goes to Boo.

These are all so good!!! I really like them all so much. They each have qualitites that I enjoy, but I'd have to vote for Kimmehs ! I really like all of the texture and different fonts. I also like Haku's because of the reflection. It's a nice touch, but i'm a sucker for all the textures XD. I also really like Boo's. The overall idea is really creative and well done

Boo... o_O Your entry is just... weird. I kind of like it and I kind of don't. I don't know how to even describe it. ^^

Haku877, to be honest, though I like the concept, I didn't care for the transparency issues. That just puts me off when I look at it. Seeing stars in his face feels off.

I think I'm going to vote for KimmehWolfwood since I like the comic feel to it. Other than the font I think it goes together rather well.

Boo is easily the winner here. Kimmeh's design, I believe, was very intricate and has a great composition for a banner, but Boo won my vote before I saw the others with sheer simplicity and humor.

I went for Boo. I like the pixelly style and the idea is so creative. It fits the theme so well. And it really catches my attention too.

Boo since it made me laugh. It's just too absurd really. =P
