I've been fishing around for song's that aren't attatched to an anime name, I like Ketsumeishi and and a bit of Gackt ............:3 there's more but I can't think of them @_@ I've been at school all day, I also like some Chinese and Korean singers :3 those kinds of songs are all I've got on my mp3 >< I feel weird that way but on here I don't :3

I really like AKGeneration, Oranges and Lemons, Flow, Crystal Kay, Tackey and Tsubasa, L'arc-en-ciel, Porno Graffiti, and Orange Range (but I hear they copy other people!) ^^.

I also really love Image Songs (I'd hate hearing the English voice actors do that)

PS I wish I had an iPod..... --_--;;

This band is quickly becoming my most favorite Jrock band. They are a hard rock/goth band. The genres they play in their music is endless. From goth rock to indie to punk, they do it all. The are also more different then most bands too. They dress up, puke in have gore in their videos, and have a lot of passion for what they like to do best. The members are as follows:

Kyo -lead vocals
Kaoru -guitar/vocals
Die - Guitar/vocals
Toshiya -bass
Shinya - drums

The first song I heard from them, Child Prey, I didn't like them at all, but they grew on me. My signiture is from Child Prey, and of Die, my favorite of the group.

My avatar is either Die or Kaoru.

Who else likes these guys?

I really liked them back in the day, like 6 years ago when I was really into J-rock. I bet they've made quite a bit of new music since then. I actually bought their first album, too.

At the time I never saw their music videos. But once, I saw one, and I thought it was pretty creepy. Their less gothic songs, I really enjoy. The first song that got me interested in them was one I found on a cd full of japanese pop from like 2000 or 1999 that were either big hits or, I think, featured on tv shows. The song they played sounded more mainstream than their other works. I recognized their name when I was browsing through imported J-cds, and decided, hey I'll check this out. Their first album, Mode of Gauze. It was totally different than what I expected. And I even enjoyed their unique music, though I'm not normally into the yelling and screaming genre. =]

I'd say some of my favorite songs by them are the first one I heard, Yokan, and other less gothic ones, definately Cage, that song rocks! Awesome tune. And Yurameki. They're all from the first album. I'm sure there were more songs from other albums, but it's been so long... if there are other songs on later albums by them you'd like to recommend, DO.

dir en grey is one of my all time favorite bands. i got into them about 2 years ago after hearing obscure. i then went and watched the PV and it scared me to no end :animesmil
i then started listening to their early music (zan is an osm song) but i really do like how they've progressed, their new music is very good and i can't wait for a new album. ryoujoku no ame is their newest song out and i really loved it. though i really wish i could have gone to see them this summer on the FVT. they came to texas 3 times yet i couldn't go :animecry:

Please, people, keep your post quality as best as you can have it.

I'm not saying you should have newspaper article quality in your posts, just that you have basic English class grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

If you need help with any of this, you can type up your post and paste into a word processing program such as Microsoft Word, then run the spell check. It will help you make a world of difference in your post.

I love J-tunes, even though my family thinks i'm crazy. My Fav's are utada hikaru and boa both of their music just gives a sense of happiness to me. Sometimes even the sad songs are a bit comforting to me. I mostly get the music from animes I watch or games I play.

I love Japanese music. My parents think I'm nuts for being so into Japan instead of America but I can't help it. The Japanese music is so soothing and sometimes peaceful. I love the way they talk even if I don't understand what they are singing about. Sometimes, I'll go look for the english lyrics so I can have a better understanding of the musics.

Most of the Japanese music I listen to comes from anime shows or video games. But now that they have a Japanese station, it's a lot easier to listen out for different variety of Japanese music. I prefer the calm peaceful type over the rockish type though.

OUCH.

well, with music, i find that a good 95% of people who are into anime can't name 5 japanese bands. if you ask them if they like music, they answer yes, but if you ask what bands, they always answer just "anime endings and game soundtracks"

ouch.

Does anyone enjoy any bands that havn't been included in an anime ending here?

I love Japanese music. =3 My mom thinks I'm a complete nutcase for listening to it all the time. Bah..what does she know.. xD Most of the songs I listen to come from the anime's I watch or from random shows I guess. I pretty much come home afterschool and go on my laptop before doing anything else. Just listening to Japanese music nonstop. Rock too..sometimes.
If I had to say what bands I like they would be...Last Exile,Asterik, such and such I dn't feel like listing them all..
I love to look for the lyrics for the songs so I can sing along with it. ^^ As I read the english and Japanese parts of the lyrics I'm actually learning some Japanese words as I'm reading. It's fun.
TM Revolution of course... Invoke was probably the first J-Pop song I ever got really addicted to. I love Ignited too, it just makes me want to boogie around my apartment (which I do). I learned all the words too. Took a while but now it's even funner to boogie too.

I really like angela's songs for Soukyuu no Fafner. "Shangri-La" makes me want to dance, and "Seperation" is such a touching song...

I also have alot of L'Arc~En~Ciel, Luna Sea...and Utada Hikaru (I LOVE Devil Inside, from her english album. The guitar with the shamisen, AWESOME!).
I totally agree!!

TMR has some AWESOME stuff!! I absolutely love his "Vertical Infinity" album! :D Awesome dance tunes, plus easy-to-sing-along-with stuff. I also like some of his older stuff, like the "coordinate" album. Neo Sphere, Abort//Clear, & Boarding are so catchy! ^^ I also love the futuristic feel to his stuff. So cool! ^^

angela's stuff is amazing as well! :D I first heard them at their concert at CNAnime (FanExpo Canada) in '05 & was blown away! atsuko (the vocalist) has such a powerful & beautiful voice! And KATSU's instrumentation is superb. :D

But my most fave artist (Japanese or otherwise) is HYDE. You might know him as the lead singer from L'Arc~en~Ciel, but his solo work is amazing. <3 His albums "Roentgen" & "FAITH" are my 2 most fave albums ever - the songs really stick with you. The ballads on Roentgen are some of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard (my fave being "Shallow Sleep"), & the rock tunes from "FAITH" REALLY rock. :D Not only are they powerful/cool/catchy, but some of them have important messages, too. "It's Sad" is about how humanity as a whole is going downhill. The last line of the chorus is "The Earth will find some peace when we're gone - it's sad." There are other songs that talk about love (& doing anything for your loved one), religion... so much that he could never do with L'Arc.

I love L'Arc as well, but HYDE's solo work (in my opinion) just goes above & beyond what he can do with the band.

Did I meantion that I was also forunate enough to go see him live in San Fran & I shook his hand...? >/////w/////>

I DO~!! Like I recognized your user name as hide's nickname/song! :D Much <3 to hide. May he rest in peace.

I also enjoy An Cafe (I miss Bou already!), Gazette, Dir en Grey (went to one of their concerts, too. :D NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR THE EASILY OFFENDED!!!), Miyavi, Ayumi Hamasaki, PuffyAmiYumi.... many other as well. :3

Try "Hikari" by Zwei. It's excellent. They haven't done themes for anime, as far as I know.
I've been a fan of High and Mighty Color ever since I heard "Pride" from Gundam Seed Destiny. I got one of their cds, GOOver for my birthday ^_^

Anyway, favourite groups/soloists...
Hikki, Ayu, Crystal Kay, Zwei, High and Mighty Color, Rythem, Home Made Kazoku, Anna Tsuchiya, Mika Nakashima, TM Revolution, Flow, and Mai Yamane.

I also like listening to lots of seiyuu, like Romi Paku and Aya Hirano.

I like Gackt somewhat. My anime driven friend gave me a copy of one of their CD's. I must say, they're an awesome band from what I've heard. She loves Miyavi, in fact she wants him! >_<

Utada Hikaru is pretty good. I like Sanctuary from Kingdom Hearts. But her genre isn't my piece of pie. Jesum, I'm picky!

I myself am a huge Gackt fan. He has such a nice voice and his range of music is really great. If I had to name a favourite album of his of mine it would have to be The Sixth Day Collection. Many of my favourite songs are on that CD, such as Vanilla, Miserable, and Last Song... Last Song always fills me with a sense of peace for some reason.

Of course I love anime music too, as that was what got me into Japanese music to begin with... Two-Mix anyone? *Was a huge Gundam Wing fan* Sadly as well, I am one of those loser aformentioned anime fans that cannot list off 5 J-Rock Bands... Well I can, but not on the spot, I would have to think for a while. I feel so ashamed and pathetic saying that. :animedepr

Hm... About 99% of my playlist is Japanese songs.

Some of my favorite singers/bands are: (This might be a bit long)

GO!GO! 7188 - I just love how the lead sings. Favorite songs include Kangaegoto, Kunoichi, Umashikamono (lol)

Shiina Ringo - I like her songs, especially ones with a precise, but soothing instrumental background. Kabuki no Cho(?) is an example... Although Yami ni Furu Ame is my absolute favorite.

ORANGE RANGE - I started liking them with Asterisk, but now I like most of their music, although I can't specify what songs at this moment.

ALI PROJECT - Oh God, their voices,.. the background music... Their composition is just beautiful. I like GOD DIVA, Kinjirareta Asobi, and.... forgot D:

Chiaki Ishikawa - I will always regret not going to her concert despite having tickets. Her voice is awesome. Especially in See-saw songs and Uninstall.

Tsukiko Amano - Well, I don't like all of her songs, but the ones with a traditional Japanese feel to them make me smile =D

BoA - Well, don't know if she counts, lol. But her work is extraordinary. "Duvet" was probably my absolute favorite song of hers.

Scoobie Do - I love his voice. In fact, I'm going to listen to his music right now. "Parade" and Gungrave's "Akane iru no Moeru Toki" = awesome.

SEAMO - Okay, maybe not my favorite band, but "a love story (Album version) with BENNIE K" was so great, I'd listen to it on repeat for long periods of time.

RIP SLYME - I have listened to 黄昏サラウンド 107 times. <3 I also liked their performance in Battle Funkastic. See below.

HOTEI - For Battle Funkastic, (HOTEI vs. RIP SLYME). When I first heard this, I was like "...Wait, why does this sound so familiar.... Wait... Kill Bill?!"

Silver Forest - "Tsurupettan" is all I need to say. =3 I loved all of the references in that song, especially the Haruhi one, iDOLM@STER's "Pittan pittan", as well as the awesome tokachi tsukuchite.

The Pillows - I liked their work in FLCL, although I'm not the hugest fan of their recent works.

MEGARYU - I only have one song from them, 夜空に咲く花, but I love them nonetheless.

Monkey Majik - Why does "Around the World" remind me of Kill Bill too? ='( Again, like them a lot. Their music is very... lazy sounding but flowing,... I dunno.

IOSYS - Yes. The creator of Marisa Stole the Precious Thing? I also like their other emixes of Touhou music because they seem to be the better of the other groups.

TAM/TAMUSIC - No singing, but their performances when it comes to composing a beautiful and professional-sounding orchestra of Touhou/other music? Perfect.

Dragon Ash - I love when they sing in Spanish. But that aside, 朝凪Revival, 夕凪Union, Los Lobos, and of course, Battle Royale's Shizukana hibi ni kaidan wo= favorites. Their music is very carefree but has a steady beat.

Def Tech - I even set two of their songs as my alarm clocks. I like "Power in da Music ~Understanding", probably because of the lyrics and the swing-feel to it.

cranky - They're most well-known for their "party 4u 'holy nite mix'", usually appearing in several MADs. Ash "Club Mix" has a really unique tune to it too. And who can forget PWRPFF RAVES? It actually took me awhile ways into the song to actually notice what it was based on ='( The best part about their music is that they're free to download legally!

BUMP OF CHICKEN - Starting with Tales of the Abyss' OP, Karma, my love for them has always been great. It's the vocals that I really like. Tentai Kansoku = <3 I guess his voice also sounds a bit fragile.

RAITO - Melty Blood music. The music for Kohaku's underground (lab), outside the Tohno Mansion, G-Akiha, and Miyako are so awesome.

YA-KYIM - Another band with things like Happy the Globe. Probably like for the same reasons above, (Def Tech, MEGARYU, etc)

Janne de Arc - Vampire was probably my favorite, but in any case, the lyrics make me lol.

MELL - Famous for "Red Fraction", opening of Black Lagoon. Although my heart lies in "no vain". Her voice as well as the techno/rave feel to the songs I like.

HOME MADE KAZOKU - I appreciate most of their works, especially their contribution to BLEACH as well as Eureka Seven. Although I mostly like "Shounen Heart" because of Nijura Seven and the other parodies of it (Like the Rozen Maiden one XD )

MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - Probably one of the few J-rockers I will listen to constantly. "What's Up, People?" and "Houchou Hasami Cutter Knife Dosu Kiri" had won me over.

Eiko Shimamiya - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's Naraku no Hana. Maybe I just like two songs of hers (Higurashi) but she deserves credit for singing "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni", the first OP, backwards (well the beginning anyways), while still singing in an elegant voice. Oh, and managing to squeeze a few "You cannot escape" into the first OP backwards =P

403 (forbidenna) - Ever seen that "Nightmare City" flash? If so, you know who 403 is. I love that song, as well as the one featured in Catastrophe, I think... Why did it remind me of Fate/Stay Night? Oh, because of the "Trace on" and other lyrics. Edit: Their music is also free to download legally.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation - For their contributions to Naruto and FMA.

There are others, but I'll just mention main ones like BEAT CRUSADERS, B'z, UVERworld, KOTOKO, YUI, etc... There's many more, so I'll just end with these:

Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara, and Yuko Goto - Haruhi Suzumiya. Yes. Lucky Star (Aya). More yes. Their performances are brilliant. Aya's God Knows... was my favorite song by her, especially since she can change her voice so dramatically. As for Minori Chihara, her Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite one was so good, I would listen to it daily in Japan. And of course, no one can forget, one of the most epic songs in the show, Koi no Mikuru Densetsu. Hearing it in concert,... <3<3<3 Monkey Majik tonight~~

Norio Wakamoto - BURUAAAAAAAAAAA! CATCH MY HEART~~~~<3 VERY MELON! I think this is pretty explanatory. (Konjiki no Gashbell(?), etc)

Minoru Shiraishi - Sexiest songs ever. It has to be admitted. Ore no Wasuremono = <3

I know I forgot a lot, but I guess this list is long enough =3

Edit: Sorry if there are typographical errors, I was half-asleep when I wrote this =(

whoa, there's a list XD.
i have a lot of j-pop fave, but all of them are ending or theme songs for anime...Ilike Hare Hare Yukai, nad Bouken Desho Desho, as ell as Tuxedo Mirage and We'd get There Someday. A lot of my ave -pop songs are n my webpage, and my computer is actually deciding to play them, lol. But, i love the sound of japanese music, it has a nice rythm and soud to it. Nonetheless, i;ve only memorized one verse of one j-pop ong after getting bored, and a little of horoscope rhapsody from galaxy angel.
