Plushies

“Plushies” became an OtakuBoards fad, or buzz word in 2002 due to their impromptu role in Otaku Big Brother II’s very random “plot.”

In the beginning, some of the houseguests’ stuffed animals were brought to life by the power of the house (affectionately known as “Rosey”) and made to torment the houseguests themselves. Eventually, miniature versions of the houseguests appeared and caused havoc around the house, the most prominent (and famous) among them being Mini-Ken (the miniature version of DeathKnight) and Mini-Ginny (the miniature version of GinnyLyn). The only known person able to control the Plushies entirely was Queen Asuka, whom some of her “subjects” affectionately called her “Miss Queen.”  Eventually Queen Asuka would refer to herself as the “Plushie Mistress.” 

In 2003, Solo Tremaine featured a sub-chapter starring the Plushies in his Enter the Net fanfiction, which later evolved into a webcomic written and drawn by Kei. The webcomic presently has its own website, although it is updated fairly infrequently.
