Writing A poem...

[Ultima Legacy]

As the cold hard universe surrounds and engulfs us, we wonder all.
What are we? Are we caretakers? Planet Destroyers? A doomed race?
As all living things grow and disperse around the entire dismal speck we call Earth,our technology advances, bringing just more pain and destruction.Things die in our lifetime. We only have a certain time to live here, trying to learn all we can. Soon, there will be nothing left but a vast plane of emptiness, a void with no boundaries, a vast empty area of space gone, destroyed, annihilated.
But before then, we will have finally known more about ourselves, our purpose, our meaning. As if no one knew we exist. Still, the questions are asked. Were we a doomed race from the beginning? We only know little about the universe today.
