?When Shadows Disappear?

The sky at twilight
Holds no one specific color..
It?s blurred,
as if being seen through the day?s tired eyes..

A gentle breeze drifts in through an open window..
The curtains rising and falling..
It reminded me of looking to that sky through younger eyes,
The eyes of someone who didn?t have to care..

This is the prelude to a time of darkness..
The time between the sunset and when they turn on the street lights..

It?s when our shadows leave us..
Leave us and find someone else to cling to..
