If I play Ring of Magnetism on one of my monsters and my opponent has a toon monster out does the toon HAVE to attack the monster with the ring on it (the monster isn't a toon) or can it still attack LP directly?

Yes, if the acrd says all monsters msut attack it, that includes Toons, because they have the choice of attacking normal monsters.

The only thing i really play Ring of Magnetism on is The Unhappy Maiden when i play her in defence. but all monsters have to attack a card when they're equipped with the ring of magnetism .
