1. I got a 360 the other day, and picked up Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, and Mass Effect with it. I'm wondering why in the world I keep playing Blue Dragon even though it has one of the lamest stories with some of the lamest characters(the main characters are sixteen? The way they act, I'd have thought they were ten) that I've ever seen. Mass Effect...I really want to keep playing it. I really do. Thing is, I'd heard it plays like Dragon Age. This was a lie. The only thing Dragon Age-esque about it is the dialogue. The rest is pure shooter, which I suck at. I'm going to try to keep going with it, though.

Tales of Vesperia is probably the only game out of the three that has yet to disappoint me, minus the fact that I was mercilessly destroyed by the previous boss (some poison wolf thing in a forest) several times before barely managing to beat it and I now have this feeling I need to do some serious grinding.

...and I really am going to finish Pokemon Black one of these days. Really.

  2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has managed to take over my life yet again, this time in the form of the 5th Anniversary Edition. The $10 off of Skyrim was just too tempting. And I was apparently the only person in town who pre-ordered it for the PC, which made me feel all special and warm and tingly on the inside :3

....and I'll finish Pokemon Black someday, I swear >> I just need to get my current team leveled up a bit before I get the sixth badge.

  3. Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition has claimed my soul. I bought the PC version the other day and by some miracle my PC managed to run it. I just started Operation: Anchorage last night and- I'm kind of disappointed with it. It feels more like I'm playing Call of Duty than Fallout 3. But OA aside, it's the same Fallout epicness. The only thing that would make it better is if I had a 360 controller- it's a real playing with a keyboard and mouse @_@

    I swear I'll get back to playing Pokemon Black sometime this year >>;

  4. Is it a bad thing that I've lost any motivation to play? I don't know why, but now I put Black into my DS, turn it on, play it for about five minutes, then just stop .-.

My team is now an anti-Flying team (I'm on my way to the sixth Gym). Granted, I have to get through Chargestone Cave first. AND raise up the new Pokemon I caught in said cave so they can actually fight without getting KOed in one hit. Thankfully I have the Lucky Egg now, so that wont be so bad.

Edokun-Samurrot, level 37. Not made of as much death as I'd like it to be, but oh well.

Ricola-Gigalith, level 31. Not much work needed for him, although I kind of want to put him back in the PC- he'll be useless against Skyla's Swanna.

Junior- Conkeldurr, level 32. Again, not much is needed for him.

Giru- Klink, level 25. I probably wont use him again after I get the sixth badge, except maybe to evolve him for Pokedex filling reasons.

Zebb- Zebstrika, level 28. I wasn't planning on using him much after this Gym, but since he's evolved, my opinion on that has changed.

Tiny- Tynamo, level 27. I just found out he eventually evolves into Elektross. Problem is, I REALLY don't want to wait until he hits level 69 to learn Zap Cannon to use a Thunderstone on him, so he'll probably rot in my PC until after beating [s]Ghetsis[/s] the Elite Four.

  5. NES-Not really sure ._. The one I remember playing most was some racing game when I was around four or five years old, so I'll go with that.

SNES- That would be Super Mario World. And to this day I've yet to beat it on my own.

GBC- Pokemon Yellow, which I've beaten multiple times, subjected to many GameShark related shenanigans, and allowed to sit and gather dust several times. And yet it still works as well as it did when I got it ten years ago....I feel old now ._.

PS1- Uh...Bushido Blade? I think I played a demo for Final Fantasy VII back when it first came out, but I wont count it since I'm not even sure it was FFVII

N64- Megaman 64. Which then lead to me going out and buying Megaman Legends 2 for the PS1, which then lead to me wondering where the eff Megaman Legends 3 was.

PS2- Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. This game ate my soul during my 4th grade year. Which sucked because I didn't get a memory card for another year ._.

Gamecube- Hmm...not counting the in-store demos, I guess that would be Super Smash Brothers: Melee. Which I've only played twice ._.

Xbox- Elder Scrolls: Morrowind. I got an Xbox around the time the PS3/360 came out, and my friend wouldn't shut up about Oblivion, so I grabbed this. I don't think I ever did any of the main story stuff >>

GBA- Pokemon LeafGreen, which I never got to beat because it was either stolen or simply mixed up with my friend's games. I dunno.

PS3- Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. This game...dear lord, this GAME. Do I REALLY have to say anything?

  6.
(And also, WTF Fallout, I need to finish Tales of the Abyss!)

No you don't. Fallout shall continue to make sure of that by consuming you soul â?¼_â?¼

Anyway, aside from playing Pokemon Black, I also picked up Dragon Quest IX and Megaman Zero Collection. MMZ is alright, but DQIX...I dunno. I just can't get into it. It doesn't feel...Dragon Questy ._. Oh, and I found a copy of Kingdom Hearts 2 ($5.95 at McKay's as compared to GameStop's $19.99. 'Nuff said) to play while my DS recharges from my constant [s]slave driving[/s] playing.

  7. Pokemon Black has been eating my life all week @_@ My only issue is that I'm constantly having to grind. I don't know if it's just me being made of fail or what, but it seems like B/W is a lot harder than other games.

SO. My current party (I constantly change it depending on what type the next Gym leader uses, currently made to battle Elesa)-

Edokun- Dewott, Female. I originally started off with Snivy, but then I found out all of my friends started with Snivy or Tepig. Something similar to this happened with HG/SS, too, and as a result I STILL don't have a Totodile -3-

Balbaroy- Tranquill, Male. Named after a character of the same name from Shining Force, and is also my strongest Pokemon, possibly due to not having an insanely low Defense like all the others.

Zenzen- Darumaka, Male. I'm...not too sure how I came up with it's name, but it stuck.

Ricola- Gigalith, Male. Named because the first thing to come to mind when I first saw it was 'Ricola'. Possibly due to the name. And since I'm on the subject of Rock Pokemon, when did Electric moves start damaging Rock types? [s]Not a word about Ash's first Gym battle B([/s]

Irwin- Krokorok, Male. So named because...well, it's a crocodile. Irwin. Make the connection.

Molley- Drillbur, Female. Going into the PC to rot for eternity for being made of fail. I'm sick of it getting KO'd in one hit.

  8. Still playing Persona 4. I got the bad ending, and then decided to start a New Game+ and move up to Normal Mode aka Persona version of hard mode. I also picked Wild Arms 3 back up again after forever, and I'm finally starting to get into the meat of the story...and I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

AND. I've been playing Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al Revis on and off lately, but...this game. I want to like it, I really do. But it's so...SLOW @_@ All it's been so far is a bunch of fetch quests, with absolutely NOTHING plot related coming up since I first started. I'm tempted to trade it in, but I know there's got to be more to it, so I'm keeping it for now.

I'm of course looking forward to Birth by Sleep, but since that has already been mentioned, I'll bring up another game that I'm looking forward to.

    Valkryia Chronicles 2:
I don't know much about this game besides it's a strategy RP and I know I should play the first one, but I don't have a PS3. >_> So I might pick this one up. I was never a big fan of strategy RP's, but after playing Disgaea and Eternal Poison I'm willing to give this one a try.

DO IIIIT. The first game was amazing. And this is coming from a guy who hates strategy RPGs.
...and now I need to get a PSP ._.

Anyway, Fallout New Vegas. Need I say more?

  12.
I'm definately for them making another Monster Rancer game. I really loved to play that game on the GBA. It was pretty fun and entertaining.

    Wish granted.

Also, we need another Wild Arms game, one with a decent battle system and a good story, unlike the last 3 games they've pumped out. Maybe a remake of Wild Arms 2, although considering how badly the PS2 remake of the first game did I doubt they'd attempt that again.

  13. I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority when I say that after playing this game, I REALLY want my twenty minutes back >_> I'm sorry, but everything about this game was just plan fail to me. I played all the way up until you meet Buzz Buzz-...wow, really. A magical talking bee from the future that has a prophecy of SAVING THE WURLD(toooootally hasn't been done one quadrillion times, nosireebob). Am I supposed to be...laughing...? ANYWAY, suddenly some alien thing appears and you start fighting...and don't do crap to it. The only person that can even do any damage to it is, le gasp, MAGICAL BEE BUZZ BUZZ, but after sitting there for many, MANY TURNS, the alien thing just wouldn't die.

It was at this point that every other stupid thing (and that would pretty much be everything that happened up to this point) that had happened in the game caught up with me and exploded, and then I quit. Haven't touched it since, and there is no way I'm doing it again. Granted, this could be because it was the second (or maybe third) game, but...meh >_>

With the 3DS bringing back some oldies, now seems like a good time to revive this thread. Seeing how Metal Gear Solid 3, Star Fox and Zelda all look colorful on this little thingamabob, I'd like to see Chrono Trigger and both Final Fantasy 7 and 8 be done on it. I don't know if you can get any more color out of Chrono Trigger seeing that it's full of life, but if there's a chance it can be done then I'd like to see it brought back. Final Fantasy 7 needs to do away with the lego/blocky look. I'd really get more enjoyment out of it then. And FF8, just because.... lol.

I'm honestly expecting Square to pop in a year or two and be all "Remember that FFVII remake that we said would take YEARS to make? GUESS WHAT WE LIED LOL". FFVII is too much of a cash cow for them NOT to remake it, be it sooner or later, anyway. Maybe not on the 3DS unless it was a port, but yeah.

Speaking of remakes, they better remake Final Fantasy V and VI for the 3DS. I've been waiting for that since FFIV DS :x

Also, another Megaman Legends game would be amazing, amusing Capcom can stop milking the original series for all of a year or two [s]or perhaps actually END IT[/s] and somebody give Keiji Inufane a couple million >_>

  15. I went on another Gamestop raid the other day and bought Persona 4, FullMetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 (not I haven't played the first one, but it was the Limited Edition and it was there for $20 brand new, so I wasn't about to let another Atlus game slip by me into 'never going to find this game again' land even if I know I'll be raging about it in a month), and Rune Factory 2. I've mostly been playing Persona 4, since it's addictive as crack and about ten times more flexible than P3 ever was or will be- meaning I don't have to start a new game if I'm underleveled when I reach a boss because there's nowhere to grind and I can't leave the area, which has NO save point.

  16. I attempted to beat Blue last night, against my better judgment. I was actually doing pretty good and had him down to two Pokemon. He throws out Gyrados and proceed to finish off what's left of my team except for Meganium and Roserade, and a good Frenzy Plant to the face finished that off. And then he was down to one Pokemon. There was just one problem-

It was his Acanine that I had nearly one hit KO'd earlier. He sends it out, uses a Full Restore, and I don't think I need to continue.

    Bleh -3-

  17. I recently bought Wild Arms 1, Wild Arms 2, and Suikoden off PSN a few nights ago. I had WA2 at one point a few years ago, but unfortunately it was at the point of my life where my logic consisted of "If a game frustrates you and leaves you stuck in a certain spot for months, trade it in" and I lacked internet, so I ended up getting rid of it, with every intention of getting it again- and then two weeks later they stopped selling GameStop. Geez, I didn't realize just how much I missed this game until a few nights ago @_@ WA1 and Suikoden are also good, Suikoden in particular since it somehow has a way of causing me to lose track of time when I play it (the night I downloaded it, I started playing it at around 10, and the next thing I knew it was 5 am).

I've also been trying to force myself to replay Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon Platinum, but it's not working >_>

But...wow, that's really awesome. I wonder how much we'll be able to do. Actually, I wonder how we'd be able to upload the save file to begin with. Maybe it'll come bundled with a special USB cable, like how FR/LG came with the wireless adapter and HG/SS came with the Pokewalker?

I'm thinking Wi-Fi, but a special USB cable or something like that is possible, I guess.

  19.
* Black and white, good versus evil, and yin and yang are going to play a major part in the plot. However, unlike previous Pokemon games, the decisions and choices you make will "influence" the plot of the game. If you make "good" choices, you might get certain help or items, whereas "bad" choices could have negative effects. The point is that the plot will not be as cut-and-dry as previous games, changing depending on the player's actions.

This right here would be the only thing I would need to convince me to go out and buy the game [s]although I think I'm not the only one here who would anyway >_>;[/s]

....Also this makes me all the more anxious for the Black/White arc in Pokemon Special, once they get to it. Assuming this ends up being true, anyway.

My pokewalker has been destroyed thanks to the washing machine in my house. My moms grabbed my pants before I got to empty the pockets and turns out that my pokewalker was still in the pants. Whats worse about the whole situation was that my Zapdos was in the pokewalker. I have no idea why I put it in there but now its gone forever. Man I hate this.
No its not. There's a code that you can use to bring your Pokemon back from the Pokewalker in case something like that happens- Nintendo was prepared for that one :P

    From Bulbapedia:
A Pokémon that has been transfered onto a Pokéwalker isn't actually sent to the device, but rather copied and the data for the Pokémon is sent. The targeted Pokémon is instead put aside, and can't be used in the game, until the data has been returned to the game. Therefore, if a Pokéwalker is lost or damaged, the Pokémon is not lost. Pokémon can be restored to the game it was taken from if a Pokéwalker is lost or broken by pressing and holding Up, Select, and R at the Pokéwalker connection screen. The Pokémon will be returned to the PC box with its level or happiness unaffected.

Nintendo has started selling individual Pokéwalkers, battery covers, and clip covers as replacements on their online store. These replacements can be used with any HeartGold or SoulSilver game card, regardless of the default language.
22. I know enough Spanish to know when I'm being cussed out/insulted(kind of a must when you live in an area that is mostly populated by Hispanics). I also had to take Chinese when I was taking CP classes, so I know basic, and I mean VERY basic, Chinese.

I'd really like to learn Japanese, though :x But NOOOOO, none of the schools here offer it because "there's no interest" (lolbull).

Pffft, they're doomed anyway. Why these two are even trying, I have no idea.

Anyway, I get a bit of a feeling this may do more harm than good. For one thing, with the economy being crap right now, who the heck is going to fork over $10 just to buy one book that they can read in about an hour and probably never read again? I really think this is a bad time to be doing something like this >>

And then there's the unlicensed series. Without these sites that they're trying to bring down, how will they know what's popular and will do well in the U.S., aside from "Oh well it's popular in Japan, let's bring it over."?

It's going to be interesting, for sure.
