In order to place a banner into your profile, either save it, and upload it onto a host, or link it from a current host. After this is done, put [img*]URL of your banner[/img*] just withouth the stars. For an avatar, again, make sure it it saved to your computer, or uploaded onto a host. Click onto the profile link on the banner above, then click on Your Options. There, go to the bottom of the page, and choose to change your avatar.
