Heavyblade Posted August 7, 2003 Posted August 7, 2003 Is it just me or whenever you see Tsukasa or Subaru they're in that sanctuary place praying. That's like the only place Tsukasa is anymor other then by Aura's bed.
Cloud_Z Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 ya i thought that to. but i kinda didn't really get at first why they were there. till just yesterday. P.S. thanks
AzureWolf Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 They really don't seem to care about that place in .hack//SIGN. There was only one part (that I can remember) where they actually analyze/notice the place. Remember when Mimiru was saying something about the sanctuary being different from other places in "The World?" She said it was isolated and some other things which I don't remember. Additionally, isn't the sanctuary area (episode 13-14 spoiler)
the way B.T., Crim, and Sora got into Bitter Fantasy Mirrorworld
? Without spoiling anything, they establish the sanctuary more in the .hack games. The area seems to serve more importance in them.
kiteS23 Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 to answer your question Azure, that spoiler is correct. But I don't think that the Area has any more importance in the games. It is only important because of the statue that is in the area.
Heavyblade Posted August 11, 2003 Author Posted August 11, 2003 I think it's not that important as anything but a portal into the secret parts of the world. Other than that it's just a place to hang out.
Zephyr Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Actually, the sanctuary is more important in the game. In .Hack//SIGN its only real use is when they open the Twilight Eye and the Red Chaos Gate. But in the games it has many different uses. It is where Kite first encounters a
Data Bug
, then there is his use of the
Book of Twilight
, the statue with the names of the
first three Phases
, and finally (in Mutation) the
memory fragments from .Hack//SIGN
. Add to that the fact that the .Hack//Liminality vol. 2 DVD states that the entire area was meant to be a root town, and thus is why it stands alone. I am willing to bet that in .Hack//Outbreak its importance is going to grow even more. *Takes deep breath* Okay, rant over. :p
