Okay, this may be 'lame', but who else here is in love with this song? Well, not in love with it, but who likes it? It totally expresses how we Southern born gals think. ^^ Except, having a computer nerd for a dad, I never picked up the country accent. I've lived in Georgia my whole life, and I'd fit into NY easily because Ipick up... ah, of topic. My mom relates to one of the lines, and I love the song. I will put <>s around the line my mom likes.

Well, I ain't never been the Barbie doll type
No, I can't drink that sweet Champagne, I'd rather drink beer all night
In a tavern or in a honky tonk or on a four-wheel drive tailgate
I've got posters on my wall of Skynyrd, Kid and Strait
Some people look down on me, but I don't give a rip

'Cause I'm a redneck woman
I ain't no high class broad
I'm just a product of my raisin'
I say, 'hey ya'll' and 'yee-haw'
And I keep my Christmas lights on
On my front porch all year long
And I know all the words to every Charlie Daniels song
So here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country
Let me get a big 'hell yeah' from the redneck girls like me, hell yeah

Victoria's Secret, well their stuff's real nice
But I can buy the same damn thing on a Wal-Mart shelf half price
And still look sexy, just as sexy as those models on TV
I don't need no designer tag to make my man want me
Well, you might think I'm trashy, a little too hardcore
But in my neck of the woods I'm just the girl next door

I'm a redneck woman
I ain't no high class broad
I'm just a product of my raising
I say, 'hey y'all' and 'yee-haw'
And I keep my Christmas lights on
On my front porch all year long
And I know all the words to every Tanya Tucker song
So here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country
Let me get a big 'hell yeah' from the redneck girls like me, hell yeah

I'm a redneck woman
I ain't no high class broad
I'm just a product of my raising
I say, 'hey y'all' and 'yee-haw'
And I keep my Christmas lights on
On my front porch all year long
And I know all the words to every ol' Bocephus song
So here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country
Let me get a big 'hell yeah' from the redneck girls like me, hell yeah
Hell yeah, hell yeah
Hell yeah
I said hell yeah!

EDIT: Holy crap! 530 views and not a SINLGE POST! WHat the freak is wrong with you people?!?! ::sighs:: I guess I'm the only person who likes country music...

undefinedundefinedI love this song. It is stereotyping at its worst, but so true. This is who i am. I don't like to do the whole dress up thing, I can and look damn good doing it, but that ain't my preference. I can't believe u don't have an accent. I do, but my son's is even worse. He has a very serious drawl. Anyway, just wanted u to know u r not alone. I love being a Southern Redneck Woman. Hell yea!

No, you just wish you were. Which you aren't.

I love this song too, but I haven't heard it all that often. It's so fun to drive thru Down Town and sing country music at the top of your voice when everyone else want to blare cRap.

It's also strange to be a witch who wears American Eagle now that I think of it. At least it was down in Texas, but I went to an open circle in New York and everyone was wearing what they found comfortable. Okay, now I'm babbling-Thank you so much CMG!
