I think the first anime that really, really sucked me in and never let go was Pokemon. I remember just randomly coming across it and falling in love with the quirky characters and the colorful art and fun storylines. Obviously, it sucked me in pretty hard, because while I stopped watching when the voice actors changed, I'm still collecting/watching the DVDs and doing fanworks around it, not to mention I still buy the stuff like crazy. Slayers I got totally hooked on just because it's pure fun, beginning to end. I love the lighthearted take on fantasy it has, and the cute humor. Rozen Maiden- from the first episode, I knew I was in love with it. It really is a truly original and entertaining series.

Rozen Maiden's nice and short. Also, Record of Lodoss War is definitely worthwhile. Only 13 episodes, but it's a truly epic show and is perfect if you like the swords and sorcery genre.

Wow, they do sorta. Although TK's hair is a smidge darker And second you on the DBZ thing. That's one of the reasons I dislike it.

Waaay older brother: Zangulus [Slayers]- He's incredibly awesome, cool with a sword, and can fight like crazy. Plus, I could steal his sweet boots, cloak and hat. Slightly older brother: Bashou [Pokemon]- He's the quiet type, seems to be very loyal, and everyone needs an emo brother, right? Just so long as he didn't go around tying up random little girls on me. Little brother: Jun [Rozen Maiden]- Because he seems to need someone to make him feel loved, and he's got these incredible enchanted ball jointed dolls in Lolita dresses... Sister: Misa [Death Note]- Because I love her Gothic wardrobe and would totally, ahem, borrow from it. And she's just plain adorable. Pet: Meowth [Pokemon]- Granted, he'd probably get annoying after a while, but who wouldn't want a witty talking cat around? He can translate to human talk, and you KNOW that's useful. Aunt: Faye Valentine [Cowboy Bebop]: Because let's face it, she's AWESOME. She'd have great stories to tell and is the type you can just let your hair down around. Uncle: Professor Sebastian [Pokemon]- Who DOESN'T want a biseinen mad scientist as their uncle? I mean, really. Completely awesome, and you'd have brainpower around when needed. Cousin: Tracey Sketchit [Pokemon]- Yes, I said Tracey. He's a bit... odd, we all know that, but when the other branches of my anime family tree involve a mad scientist, a sexy female bounty hunter, and a swordfighting mercenary, a guy who has a tendency to draw Pokemon at... very inopportune times... and gets excited over counting Magikarp is pretty normal. He's an artist, so he could help me with my own work, and he has a Scyther. What's cooler than that? Boyfriend: James [Pokemon]- Of course he's my boyfriend. Read the user title, people. Seriously, though, IMO James is The Perfect Guy. He has everything I want in a guy, and he's plain adorable. Good friend: Domino [Pokemon]- Because she's cool and even though she is technically a villain, she seems like she'd be an awesome person to just hang out with (assuming she likes you). And if I ever needed revenge on a person, I 'd know who to call... mehhehheh.

[FONT="Book Antiqua"][COLOR="DarkRed"]I'm really looking forward to Slayers Revolution (though I'll probably end up watching it subbed when it comes out- a new voice case seems almost inevitable and the dub just wouldn't be the same without Lisa Ortiz and co.), and I can't wait to buy the Slayers Try box. I'm also hoping Viz hurries the heck up and releases the Pokemon Johto Journeys boxes soon (but given how long they take on Pokemon sets, we'll probably be lucky to see them in September given they released Orange Islands back in May and there seems to be a mandatory 4 month wait between boxes.) Hopefully, I'll find a Galaxy Angel set cheap somewhere (does anyone know if such a thing exists? I found the first DVD at Dollar General and fell in love with it. It's like Azumanga Daioh in space!). I'm also waiting for the Tales of Symphonia anime to come out here, and hoping those rumors about Powerpuff Girls Z are true. ^_^[/COLOR][/FONT]

I go to Gen Con Indy. Mostly gaming, but there's also a very friendly Anime Avenue that's not as big and scary as a real anime con and everyone there is more or less family.

Hiya! I'm new here. Anyway, I've always posted my art/wallpaper on The Otaku, so the prospect of a forum seemed fun to me, and I had an urge to get out of my usual Pokemon forum comfort zone. As my thread title implies, I'm a bit of a Team Rocket fangirl, and I'm also a Slayers addict who can't wait for Revolution and an obsessive DS gamer. Oh, and I like to cosplay. Hopefully these forums will provide me an amusing place in which to kill a few minutes every day... ^_^
