Ha...I dun give a care about Tournament Legal-ness... Where *I* live, so long as the card has been released in English, it's tournament worthy. That includes all promotional cards AND Japanese cards.
-
If counter cards aren't stronger than Exodia, than what's the purpose of this conversation? Glorifying Exodia? BTW, Ouija Board is much harder than Exodia, IMHO. It's obvious what your plan is once you activate Ouija Board (D), and even though it works by itself, each Ouija peice uses up your precious M/T slots, so as time passes, it gets much harder to protect yourelf and the board. One De-Spell in the right place will kill a Ouija Board strategy for good.
-
Where did you get this info? Because, as of now, I'm not buying into this whole English structure thing.
-
I know. I own one. BTW, right now, the Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon (2800 A) is the strongest English Machine. It was just released a few days ago as a promotional card...as did Metalmorph and Harpy's Pet Dragon.
-
What's stronger than a completed Exodia? Squat. What can beat a incomplete Exodia? Card Destruction, Robbin' Goblin, White Magical Hat, Delinquent Duo, Confication, The Forceful Sentry, Morphing Jar, Cyber Jar, Lightforce Sword, Soul Release (So it STAYS dead), and probably a few others. THEY are stronger than Exodia...because they can destroy it, delay it, or keep it dead. Nuff' said.
-
Sorry...I just find myself wishing I had all these cool cards from Japan...

I don't count the Master of Dragon Knight, Five Gods Dragon/Mythic Dragon, or the Three God Cards as being the Strongest of any type. The God cards are thier own type, anyway, so they can't be counted for ANYTHING. =) (Killer Effect) = Something really powerful without a big drawback. (Nasty Effect) = Something that really could turn around and hurt you. (Slow) = Difficult to get out quickly, if at all. I have not counted Fusions. Unique Spellcaster: Exodia the Forbidden One (Obviously Killer Effect)(Slow) Unique Spellcaster: Exodia Necros (1800 A + 500 A per Standby)(Slow...Kinda) Dragon: Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (4500 A) Warrior: Gate Guardian (3750 A)(Slow) Rock: Magnet Valkyrion (3500 A) + (3850 D)(Slow) Insect: Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth (3500 A)(Slow) Zombie: Berserk Dead Dragon (3500 A)(Killer + Nasty Effect) Fiend: Demon of Questionable Loyalty (3500 A)(Nasty Effect) Fairy: Ruler of Heaven Shintao (3300 A)(Killer Effect) Machine: Metalzoa (3000 A)(Slow) but... Machine 2: XYZ Dragon Cannon (2800 A)(*Killer* Effect) Spellcaster: Dark Paladin (2900 A)(Killer Effect) Beast-Warrior: Jackal Paladin (2700 A)(Killer Effect)

Anime If you could have/make any Millenium Item, what would it be?
Alexander replied to MaceDavis's topic in Otaku Central
There are two different stories about the Eye. One i think is Manga, the other Anime. In the Anime, I think the Eye simply replaced Pegasus's true eye magically. In the Manga, I'm pretty sure Circeus is right - that the eye had to actually be placed in his head via mortal means. Which is...ew. Obviously, having the Millenium Eye, more than all others, requires a commitment to using it, for once you have chosen it's path, there is no turning back... -
Yipe. I see, get Thousand Eyes Restrict out, and delay long enough for the Ouija Board to complete itself...pretty risky, but pretty scary, too, if the opponent lacks Magic/Trap Removal. Your decks scare me. =)
-
Um..Hypershadow... I specifically SAID I didn't have any fusion subs in my collection. Still, if I had them, I'd use them!
-
If you have a FMC, sure. It's a good card while you're on teh offensive. I doubt it'll be noticed, but here goes nothing... Pegasus J. Crawford is one of my favorite characters, and I sometimes immitate him while dueling. I've made two decks based on his, one concentrating on Toon Monsters, the other on getting Relinquished out hard and fast. Here's Draft 1 of my Relinquished Deck. I wrote it in Edo's deck list style. Monsters: (21) 1. Relinquished 2. Relinquished 3. Relinquished 4. La Jinn 5. La Jinn 6. La Jinn 7. Sonic Bird 8. Sonic Bird 9. Sonic Bird 10. Senju of a Thousand Hands 11. Witch of the Black Forest 12. Witch of the Black Forest 13. Magician of Faith 14. Magician of Faith 15. Man-Eater Bug 16. Man-Eater Bug 17. Trap Master 18. Cyber Jar 19. Thousand Eyes Idol 20. Thousand Eyes Idol 21. Cannon Soldier Magic:(19) 22. Black Illusion Ritual 23. Black Illusion Ritual 24. Black Illusion Ritual 25. Mystical Space Typhoon 26. Mystical Space Typhoon 27. Mystical Space Typhoon 28. Polymerization 29. Polymerization 30. Swords of Revealing Light 31. Swords of Revealing Light 32. Pot of Greed 33. Change of Heart 34. Snatch Steal 35. Raigeki 36. Dark Hole 37. Monster Reborn 38. Premature Burial 39. Fairy Meteor Crush 40. Giant Trunade Traps:(5) 41. Mirror Force 42. Magic Jammer 43. Imperial Order 44. Seven Tools of The Bandit 45. Graverobber Fusion:(2) 46. Thousand Eyes Restrict 47. Thousand Eyes Restrict The theme? I guess it's a Pegasus-inspired, Relinquished-based Lockdown/Theft deck. Geeze, that's a big theme. Strategy? Get Relinquished out quick, and start 'absorbing' his monsters up. Later, Relinquished is replaced with 'Thousand Eyes Resrict', and the strategy changes to hitting him with either a combination of TER + Fairy's Meteor Crush or Cannon Soldier. In addition to Relinquished, the deck has Change of Heart and Snatch Steal availiable to keep stealing the opponent's monsters. The deck has both Monster Reborn and Early Burial to keep bringing Relinquished/TER back after it gets killed. The traps are fairly simple, Mirror force, a few counters, and Graverobber, one of my favorite cards. It fits the deck's 'Theft' theme. Plus, remember what Pegasus said about Dopellganger? "Know why he's grinning, Yugi? This little fellah loves what he does and does what he loves!" It applies to Graverobber, too! I'm thinking about swaping the La Jinns (put in there to give teh deck at least SOME brute force of it's own) with 2 Cannon Soldiers and a Summon Skull/Last Will/Giant Trunade. I'm also going to put a Solemn Wishes in there once I can, because it works great with Imperial Order. I don't have any Fusion Substitution cards, sadly, so the Thousand Eyes Idols have to stay, unless I change the theme. *sigh* Such utter crappiness. Cards I may actually put in, for more flavorful purposes, are: Eye of Truth, Jigen Bakudan, Dark Eyes Illusionist (the only card not legal here, my sister is borrowing it), and Exchange. The first represents Pegasus's Mind-Read ability, the second is in there just because Pegasus used it (and it MAY help as a game ender), the third because it's Pegasus's and it helps the Lockdown theme, and Exchange supports the theft theme. They're not very good, so chances of me REALLY using them are pretty nil.

Ha..I've had the same problem...I just finish the decks, THEN worry about others. How about a deck design that PROMOTES chaos and confusion? Hand/Deck Obliteration, Time Wizard, or the like. BTW, I'm making a Relinquished Deck of my own. I'll post it up for review soon. *** Um...Spikey...you do know what Tribute IS, right?
-
No trade, I say. Mirror Force is one of the cards that, once you get, you just DON'T let go unless you have spares. It's way too good. A Attack Negater and a Semi-Raigeki in one?
-
I've been stolen from as well...the problem is I'm very trusting and ....well, am infamous for my collection. (Only locally, however!) I've lost three packs of Pharoah's Servant( including my first Super Rare from it), which accounts to half of the PSV packs I've been able to find. I've also lost a Buster Blader and a few others...NEARLY lost my Black Skull Dragon. The stealings have never crippled my, though they REALLY GET ME MAD! (I'd like to point out that later that very day the packs were stolen, I pulled Thousand Eyes Restrict from my *prize* boosters, from placing third in the tournament. Take THAT lowly thieves!)

Dang...I'd love to have a deck like that! I've got a few of those cards, far more than any one else in my area, but DANG I'm nowhere near that! TWO Black Paladins?! THREE Skilled Black Magicians?! Aren't they the BEST 4-STAR IN THE GAME!?! *faints* (How rare are Supers and Ultra Rares in Japanese Packs? I heard that Ultra Rares were like 1 in every box or so...so I haven't bothered buying any.) The only thing I find rather bland is the Trap Assortment. I see those same cards everywhere... Here's my current Local Tournament Deck. Monsters (5 Tribute, 17 Non-Tribute): x1 Barrel Dragon x3 Summoned Skull x1 Relinquished --- x3 La Jinn x3 Whiptail Crow x2 Ryu-Kishin x3 Man-Eater Bug x1 Trap Master x1 Witch of the Black Forest x2 Magician of Faith x1 Mask of Darkness x1 Cyber Jar Magics (16): x1 Pot of Greed x1 Dark Hole x1 Raigeki x1 Monster Reborn x1 Change of Heart x1 Heavy Storm x1 Tribute to The Doomed x1 Soul Exchange x1 Black Illusion Ritual x2 Swords of Revealing Light x2 Mystic Plasma Zone x3 Mystical Space Typhoon Traps (7): x1 Backup Soldier x1 Graverobber (Signature Card) x1 Horn of Heaven x1 Magic Jammer x1 Mirror Force x2 Trap Hole

The Zombies. Tell me, is there a better card to use with Castle of Dark Illusions/Armored Zombie/Dragon Zombie? Think about it! Potentially powering up a Dragon Zombie to 2400?! With no tribute?
-
That will change, friends....soon Tributes shall come to the show...Which = teh cool. Though I wonder why the BEUD's weakening stopped at 900. I was looking forward to Kuribo kicking a BEUD's butt! Haha!

Anime Quick question about upcoming sagas.... *spoilers*
Alexander replied to Jinzouningen17's topic in Otaku Central
Oh, yeah, Kaiba's going to have a pretty nice role. After all, it's not just coicidence that the Dark Magician and Blue Eyes are considered 'Eternal rivals'... -
?The wise pay as much attention to what they throw away as to what they keep.? - Reclaim This quote was from an old M:TG card of mine, and holds true today as the primary theme of my deck. Inspired by the direct damage of toons and the power of ressurection, I decided to put it to good use in a new deck: the ?Toon-Reanimator?. Basically, toss the toons in the graveyard at first opportunity, get out toon world, and revive the toons quickly with magics and traps to get around the tribute requirement or the no-attack rule (or both). The Spear Cretins are the deck?s secret weapon. Because the ability is almost undoubtedly going to be activated by an attack, the deck lets you bring a Blue-Eyes Toon out DURING YOUR OPPONENT?S TURN. This not only bypasses the need for tribute, but it *also* lets the Toon attack at first opportunity, because it was summoned before your turn. The drawback of giving your opponent another free monster is not too bad - the only ones to REALLY worry about are Black Skulls, BEWDs, other toons (!), and Jinzo. Even ones with good flip effects aren't THAT big of a problem, because he will have to wait until his next turn to activate them. In the case of Blue-Eyes, there is nearly no monster in the game that can knock them out straight from the graveyard, aside from those mentioned. Monsters: (20) x3 Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon x3 Toon Summoned Skull x3 Spear Cretin x3 Man-Eater Bug x2 Magician of Faith x1 Mask of Darkness x1 Giant Soldier of Stone x1 Mystical Elf x1 Aqua Madoor x1 Prevent Rat x1 Cyber Jar Magic: (19) x3 Toon World x3 Mystical Space Typhoon x2 Swords of Revealing Light (With the teeny defenders this deck has, these are a necessity!) x1 Monster Reborn x1 Premature Burial x1 Pot of Greed x1 Dark Hole x1 Raigeki x1 Change of Heart (Counter attacks, or toon tribute) x1 Soul Exchange (Drawback is negligible, because toons have the same restriction to start with) x1 Megamorph (Who wouldn?t fear direct damage of 6000?) x1 Painful Choice (THE ultimate tool for toon-tossing!) x1 Tribute To the Doomed (A toon-tosser, AND a monster buster) x1 Giant Trunade Traps: (8) x1 Enchanted Javelin (A little more LP can't hurt in a Toon Deck) x1 Spellbinding Circle x2 Magic Jammer (Tood World-saver, AND Toon-tosser!) x1 Call of the Haunted (The ULTIMATE weapon with BETD!) x1 Imperial Order (Last-Second protection against Toon-World Negaters) x1 Mirror Force x1 Waboku Before you say anything about WHY I have three Mystical Space Typhoons in my deck, you have to understand this: LOCALLY, they DO negate the cards they destroy. Yeah, that makes them practically the best counter card in the game, but thats what they say locally, so I figure, I have three, why not use ?em? >=) I must admit Soul Release is a very real threat. I don't worry too much about Toon World going boom...protecting that is first priority for my counters. Here's another *awesome* toon helper: Giant Trunade. Toon World gets sent back to your hand, and because Toons only get destroyed when Toon World is DESTROYED, they REMAIN IN PLAY, because toons aren't REALLY dependent on Toon World!. It removes the Toon World weak point for the Toons already out! Booya! I'm greatly worried about this deck's survivability...I haven't had a chance to finish this deck yet (call this my 'draft' copy).. but right now it looks like I could have some major trouble. Any ideas to keep the deck alive?
-
Um, bad idea with Aqua Madoor as an aqua blocker. It's a good Water-based defender, but once Umiiruka is out, his stats go to 1700/1600....not too impressive. Generally, I use blockers with a different elemental type than my main attack force for that reason. Kunai with Chain and Magic Metal Force are both equip traps. I would say 1 Legendary Fisherman, and two fisherbeasts. (Aren't those 2400 Attack? Vicous!) Plus, isn't the Legendary fisherman impossible to attack with Umi out? If he's your only monster, you're opponent CAN'T ATTACK AT ALL.
-
Strictly speaking, it's a Super Rare, so they're fairly tough to find. The reason for no card code isn't exactly because of rarity...It seems that a lot of Ritual, Ritual-like, and Fusion monsters have no codes. The same goes for the individual *parts* of said sets. Of COURSE you can powerup monsters to beat Gate Guardian and BEUD. Slap a Megamorph on a summoned skull, or even another GG (o.o) and watch the sparks fly. Gate Guardian is THE hardest card in the game to summon. FAR harder than a simple BEUD fusion. Getting ALL THREE Elementals on the field, sacraficing two monsters each, means some HEAVY sacraficing. And you know what? I HAVE a GG deck. I KNOW. Which brings me to my final comment...of all the Elementals, Suijin's the only one I STILL don't have three of... it's getting really annoying, trying to track down that last peice! (Almost as bad as Exodia!)
-
Are any of you as intruiged by this game? It seems really interesting...I'm hoping maybe I can make a simple version of that game using real dice and the like here.
-
Very nice so far...both of you. Kaiba's Angel: I'd like to mention that Monster Reborn is limited to one per deck...but there are two cards, (Early Burial, Call of the Haunted), that perform the same job, just a little less efficiently. I'd personally cut Yami for Mystic Plamsa Zones: a +500 Attack bonus to all Dark Types (Which is the focus of your deck, kinda) can go a LONG way. It also won't hurt Doma. You also seem to have a *LOT* of Tribute monsters...way, WAY too many. I don't know if you play without tributing like some people do, but in a tribute match you'd be in some serious trouble.
