She watched carefully, unknowing to how the beast was going to react. It was one of those times that all she had was diviant information and her bow and arrows to help her. At least she had friends that could aide her and she could aide them. "Who volenteers?" Javen asked, trying to lighten up what mood they all had. Kalysta drew an arrow from her quiver, inserting it into her bow as an answer for him. She aimed carefully, a miss from her target would send the beast into a rage, with both eyes to lead him. Then another thought occured to her. She pushed it away, concentrating on her task. "Wait, Kalysta," Sashanea whispered, urgency in her voice. "Yes, I know. We'll raise the question when we get a chance." She looked at Ruby, Javen, and Suzu. All three waiting, biding their time for the fight about to commence. She turned back to her target, loosing the arrow with a twang! She held her breath when she saw the elven arrow clash into the soft spot of its chest. "Someone get a light!" Sashanea yelled, her voice echoing off the carvern's walls. Kalysta watch almost blind horror as her arrow's pain traveled slowly to the trolls small brain, the echoes getting to him. Suzu lit something, a bight red and orange glow filled the underground passage. Kalysta did not mention that even if the beast was blind, he could still smell each of them.

Heart listened to Ross and Scott. She looked at Kei then. "You would have thought we'd entered an alternate reality huh?" She was just thinking aloud, but it was apparent to her now. This was one of those things the government didn't tell the people in the news. It was one of those secrets that they kept from the world. "Not exactly, but I get what you're saying," Kei replied slightly off in his own world. She looked at Scott. "So you work for the government to silence those...creatures before to many people notice them?" She asked, nudging her calf with the tip of her shoe for a minute, but stopped soon after. She had crossed her arms in front of her chest earlier, but she uncrossed them to fiddle with her brown locks that fell from its ponytail.
-
She shook her head at Ross. "You know, one of these days he's going to figure out he's not losing his mind, and figure out a student's stealing." Heart whispered to her. "Yeah, but I'm too good to get caught." Heart's head fell. "You're right about that." Heart looked up at the two that Ross seemed to know. They both were in all of her classes, but she didn't pay too much attention to their little intros. Then she remembered one was going to call headquarters to something. "Hey, what headquarters are you talking about? And what in the world were those freak creatures?" She had just lashed out with the words, wanting answers. She realized as soon as they had left her mouth that she didn't intend for them to come out angry. "Sorry, I'm just... Just exactly what was it that Kei was fighting, and I was running from?" She was a bit shaken about some things, even though she forgot about when Ross decided to say that she was the star of the Varsity team. She didn't like it when people just memorized titles, especially guys, and tried to befriend her. Fake and she saw through it easily. She sighed heavily and leaned against the hall's wall.

Kalysta smirked vividly. "Danger is your middle name, huh Sasha?" She looked at the winding dark tunnel. I'm just cautious that's all. Taking a deep breath, Kalysta turned to Javen, still able to see Suzu, Ruby, and Sashanea. "We stand about the same chance here in the forest as we do in the tunnel. Shall we?" She said holding an arm out in the direction of the opening.

Heart wiped her brow and set down the abused volleyball. She had put it through its paces for a good twenty minutes. It was tight and well-aired, but by now it was becoming flat. Grabbing her drink, she tisted the cap, and took a slow-but deep-sip. She put that on the floor by her overworked volleyball. "Hey...Kei," she called, waving and smiling. She was intent on the win tonight; sweat drenched her hair. The other V-ball team entered, talking it up. A couple in their uniforms, some yet to change. She picked up her drink and walked softly over to Kei. She sat down on one of the chairs set out for the volleyball players and coaches. The girls without their uniforms went into the locker while the few dressed-out stayed behind, laughing and chatting softly. "Adrenaline is the on thing I trully run on." She grinned, blinking calmly. She took off the cap and drank. Setting the cool bottle on her right thigh, she sigh lightly. The near silence of the gym was cut short by a chilling screech. Heart jumped up, spilling the gatorade on the gym floor, but she ignored it. "What was that?" She asked at Kei.

Alcina stood up, eyes clouded over, soulless once more. A grin of malice played her dangerous lips. Her hair held tight inside their braids. Lust used her again, but this time, Alcina stayed submissive. Alcina felt energized now. Is this power I gain from deaths of those who I come into contact with? Yes, it is. If you touch someone close to the Light with your poisonous hands and you or one of the Dark kills them, you gain power. The smirk widen. She understood now. She could handle it now. Power felt good, but too much would hurt. She only wanted enough. "Now what, my leader?" The voice was cool and collected. Beautiful and alluring, though the others weren't affted due to their resistance to her. Had someone been passing by though, they would've been drawn to the area.

"No, but promising isn't something that we're up to, huh?" Kalysta moved towards the door and Javen and read it herself. "The one who engraved this had great calligraphy work." She traced it with her fingertips. The stone barrier shook slightly but didn't move. She retracted her hand in a lightly closed fist to her chest. "Moria," she breathed. This was not the mines, but it did remind her terribly of them. Horrifying stories were told to her, and they did scare her and gave her nightmares. Sometimes to this day, she'd wake, drenched in a cold sweat. She no longer screamed in fear though. "What?" Kalysta looked at Javen. "Nothing... Say it in Elvish." He nodded. "Mablung taurnil, tîwele celahir telrúnya." OOC: Ok, I've left someone to figure out if the doors will open... Hope you don't mind silverwolf_fang-BTW I didn't just make up words.

"You lucky," she said as her eyes scanned the D-Hall paper. "It says you've got Mrs. Ruckman. She's one teacher that gives blow-off class a new meaning. She's never really in the room, and when she is, she's too busy talking on the phone to notice if you're handing her a detention slip paper or a test, she'll sign off on it and let you be on your way. Typically, you're in there about five minutes tops." She said before she stopped at the end of the hall. "I figure you don't need me to take you there so I'll give you the quick directions. Take a right here, keep going down that hall until you see room 421, it should be on the left-hand side, go in. Walk straight in front of you, open the door at the end of the room and turn left. Keep going until you see room 290, right-hand side, that's the room you want." She smiled, and turned around. "You should come to the volleyball game after you get done 'surving time' in D-Hall. We're playing against South Side, our rivals. I'm sure you'd love to watch us nail'em." She winked and gave him a thumb's up. "Hope to see you there!" She said, turning around she walked back toward the gym. She was going to be practing until the game started.
-
Heart stood in the locker room with her uniform on. Volley the ball tourny against South Side High. She knew that her improvment would be an asset for the team, seeing as this will be her first time playing Vasity level. She was quite happy that she had got moved up. She was being called 'their secret weapon' as South Side didn't bother to watch JV games. She left the locker room, passed through the gym, and entered a hallway. The game wasn't until later, but she was already dressed out in her uniform. That's when she saw- Kei, right? Oh I wish I wasn't so bad with names. "Hey, Kei!" She called, her natural voice being that volume, it didn't hurt her throat. He faced her, looking a bit afronted. "That's your name right?" He nodded and rolled his eyes. "Of course you are. Because you're 'so excited to be here'!" She smiled when she said it. "Sorry, I have a long memory. Where you heading?"

Alcina dropped the stone into Karne's hand. She looked away. She didn't know why she felt this, but it hurt, terribly. Give it just a little time. I promise you won't worry about it. Alcina nodded subconsciously. She didn't know what she was going to do, but she looked back at him. Blood caked his front. She kissed his forehead. "Rest peacefully," she whispered to him. It hurt her heart, but she didn't cry. She was evil, she did not feel sympathy toward his murder. Though Karne was right, no one should have to die like that. Rae sat down and took small, but plentyful bites. The two kids had literally swallowed their food whole, or so it seemed to her. Tommy had paused for a moment. "I'd be glad to help." She smiled. The parnets nodded. She just had some minor kinks to work out, then she would be ready. Sure, what she could do wasn't very much, but she was a good listener. And on the nights of a full moon you can find out a lot.

Kalysta drew an arrow from the quiver. She pulled back on it, taking aim at one of the Kalsins. One had jumped from its perch on the tree and she loosed the arrow. Javen, Ruby, and Sashanea were slashing about three at a time. More kept showing up. Other than that though, everyone was doing fine, except for some scratches here and there. "If they would just stay back. You'd think they'd learn." She bitterly shot down two. Their red eyes died to white and their coats immediatly lost their sheen. Beautiful, yet vicious creatures. Attack anything that come within range of them. You could say that they were well fed animals. Blood poured from slain Kalsins, red seeping into the forest floor. One of the dead animals was nailed to a tree by two of her arrows. She smirked malicously. More were on their way.

Alcina was too busy watching a stupid, ignorant fool take his life. Well, technically he didn't do it, but he just asked for it. And he had the nerve to give me a damn elixer to save him. All the more reason why you should toss the thing. But what about this little problem. She thought, plainly it meant the medallion. Yeah, I don't know what we're going to do about that. Alcina then looked at Karne. "I didn't do anything. Don't believe him." She said almost pleadingly. He and Sena were too busy glaring at Talon though. She wanted to scream at Talon though. You idiot! Why did you do that? Maybe it was better, but you're dying so very slowly. She stood to her feet for she had fallen when he had came to her. She was tired of it. She was tired of him. "Just let it end." Was all she said, it did not mean the war, but it meant she wanted him gone.

"Darkwood forest...I remember some human child saying something about it." She put on a childish voice and immitated him perfectly. "'It was so dark, and scary. I don't ever want to see that place again.' Hmm...if it were true that he actually survived going through it, it'd have been a miracle." "So you're saying you have no confidence in humans making it through the forest, do you?" Ruby asked, slightly accusitory. "No, it's not that. I just don't think the kid got through by himself. He must've had someone, like an adult, with him." She didn't smile, but her voice was light-hearted. That's the first time she had shown emotion in her voice. Sometimes I wonder if I'm suited for staying like this forever.

Rae smiled at the people. "Swihandrae, Rae for short." She watched the little kids run around almost as if their energy supply would never run out. Their parents seemed to be worn out at the kids' never-ending energy. "Glad I don't have to do that." She looked around to see who said that. He was just leaning up against the wall... Like a loner.

When the teacher said that the 'new additions' were to introduce themselves, she thought, What a waste of time. Why not actually do your job and, I dunno...teach! The first guy, Scott, stepped down, but then the teacher called on another student. "Are you sure you are in the right class teacher?" Heart was sitting front and center, trying very hard not to laugh. "Excuse me?" The teacher looked like she had been slapped. Serves you right for treating us like kids. Then the guy answered in a baby voice, making Heart try harder not to laugh. "I want to speak to you after class, Kei." Yeah, because you're my hero. She giggled at her thought. This class just sucked, she didn't learn anything. Half the time the teacher wasn't in the classroom. Just another blow off class. Heart gave him the thumbs' up, and a mock appaulse. The next kid looked just as ticked. "Name's Brady Jax and I was transferred here from another high school. Don't ask which one, I don't care to answer." Oh yes, very original. I hope that bell rings soon.

"I've already got an exemplary necklace." She tried to rip the medallion off her neck, she almost succeed, but just as he said, it stayed put. "Take it off. I don't want your protection. I'll be as good as dead if we're both caught. You're already dead!" She was shaking. She wanted to cry, but she couldn't get thte tears to fall. Alcina, transform back. Daylight approachs. You will be able to leave under his watch for a while. Yes. Of course. She looked away from Talon, she needed to say something before she become immobolized by her transformation. "If you think this will show how much I'll care for you in the end, it won't. I have no true love. Just someone who satisfies the lust within. You love only a shadow. I lust for no one, they lust for me. This is what you feel. I have no inclination of what love is. Be done with your fantasy and let me go." Two tears dripped from her eyes, he caught them though. "Don't be naiive, Talon. Don't be naiive." Then, she transformed back into her original state of person. Strawberry-blonde locks fell over her shoulders and green eyes opened widely. Her dress attire before sunset had returned. She could feel her whole body grow warm as the feeling was put back into her small frame. She got to her feet and ran from him. She ran from his foolishness. His daring. His nerve. His stupidity of thinking that Lust could love. It can't. It can only be in lust. Lust was better anyway. As long as you weren't idiot enough to be fooled by it.

Coughing lightly, she sat up. The inscene was burning her nose. She noticed Talon, she looked around for her team. She jumped to her feet, but quickly fell to her knees. "What did you do with them?" She asked coldly. "Nothing. If anything, you should be worried." It was true, she had no idea where she was, how much time elapsed between her blacking out and coming to. "Where am I, Talon." It was a request, more or less, it was a demand. "Don't think so. We need to talk." "Hell no!" She was pissed off at his haughty stature. "I'm already getting punished for when I let you go," she motioned to stand again, but she couldn't feel her legs anymore. "What the-" He pressed a finger to her lips. "Now, cursing isn't becoming to a lady." She shoved him off of her. At the very least, she could use her hands. But it is satisfying. Lust. "Why do you want me here? Unless you wish for me to kill you now." Empty threat, he wasn't close enough and she didn't have the use of her legs to take her to him. The inscence. She saw it not to far from where she was sitting. She knocked it into the ground, almost snuffing the aweful scented stick out. "You are not going back until we talk. So you might as well get used to those legs staying like that for a while." She struck out at him, only getting his shoulder lightly. "Let's start talking."

The fool! I know, but hey-attack ruthlessly. Last time I listened to you...I still have yet to get my punishment. Don't be sore. I'm sure you'll find it less painful if you come in submissive. Last one didn't take it as hard as she had thought she would. Shut up. "You idiot. You could've said your prayers before hand." Her voice was as cold as ice. "Maybe I have already," Talon's arrogance showing in his voice. "Bite me." "Gladly." That's it. I'm still getting punished, and a good-true-friend told me: If you're going to get in trouble for it, make as well take it for what it's worth. True. She dove at him, taking him to the ground. She was going to kill him, if not kill him then hurt him severely. Her fingernails extended, acute to the sharpness of a blade. She slashed across his chest. Blood gushed from the one wound. But not enough. Talon knocked her off of him. She scrampled to her feet, but he grabbed her ankle and pulled her roughly to the ground. For the second time that day she cracked her head on something hard. Blacking out on contact.

How do I get myself into these messes? She wondered to herself. "I'm not homeless. Got bored with my parents lies, seeing as I'm old enough to leave, I did." She paused. "I'm not going back." She thought of anything else that she might want to add. Yeah, why not? "Number one reason why I left is because they didn't tell me about my...animal spirit." She thought about it...yeah, if they have a nanny basilisk, then a cat girl who didn't have a reason to harm anyone in this particular room shouldn't be a problem.

Kalysta came too a little while before all of the orcs had left. She stood up, brushed off all of the dirt. She walked into the tavern, slung the quiver full of Elven arrows over her shoulder, walked back outside, and mounted the white mare that she had rode up here. They all looked at her like she had done something unspeakable. "What?" She asked impatiently. The others just coughed and turned away. Do you want me to admit that I am weak without my weapons? "Fine. I'm sorry for being stuck up," she inwardly cringed at her vocabulary. Haughty, arrogant, snide...stuck up? "I am sorry."

Swihandrae ended up in front of the peoples' house that was about twenty or so miles out of her town. It was an accident that she completely tripped over her own feet, landing an inch away from the dirt. She quickly stood up, and figured she had lauched herself a personal record of ten feet. Ten feet short of the peoples' house. She didn't even know who they were. But they were talking, and kids were there too. She heard the something about a nanny being a basilisk and for someone not to worry. Basilisk? Wait, that's like a snake isn't it? She was walking cautiously forward, but not carefully enough for she landed herself in a pile of brittle twigs. She mentally cursed her clumsyness, wishing it were full moon tonight. Hopefully no one will notice and I will be on my way... If it were only that simple, a snide voice said in the back of her head.

Alcina looked away. She couldn't answer him. She was wrong, and she knew it. Lust had said... Trechary! You lied! I simply twisted the truth. Don't give me that bull. You allowed me to act recklessly. Your fault for listening. Naiive, oh yes, that was the word. I am naiive, so you plan on torturing me to bring out the you in me. "You will answer me." Alcina knew whom the statement was for. Her eyes were full of pleading, and weakness would be the last thing to show. She gazed into her leader's eyes and spoke, defeated. "She wishes to teach me a lesson." She didn't know what else to say, that she was sorry that she listened to Lust? That she could do it if given the chance? Too late for apologies though. "What kind of a lesson?" He asked after a period of time. She actually didn't think-there were plenty of things. You know the answer, you said it yourself. Answer obediantly, though mercy is beyond your sake. "Only one you can teach." Lust seemed to enjoy her torment. What was going to happen? Death...no, Talon's their target. But what kind of torturing did Lust have in mind?

Lust, I will kill you if I don't die before the end of this. What? It was a parting gift. No hard feelings type of thing. So? You still didn't have to do that. Technically, this is my body, so I do as I will. Techinically, I'm still using the body. The argument went on until they reached the others. "You took longer than I thought," Karne said tonelessly. She blushed and figeted a little. "He won't bother us anymore," Alcina spoke normally. Her temptress voice gone for the moment. "I should hope not...for your sake." She nodded telling him she understood. That idiot better not screw up. He won't. He's not that stupid. How do you have confidence in him? I just do, now pay attention. Alcina listened to what the others were going to say to her, or to each other.
