Well to frank, having had both a ex-girlfriend who screwed around behind my back, broke up with me before I could find out in May of 2005 (although I found out a month later) ,blamed the whole thing on me, and turn some of our friends against me till they figured out it wasn't me that much and also I almost died of cancer in December of 2005. I'd say betrayal is worst than almost meeting the Grim Reaper. With death for the most part it doesn't come out of no where. Betrayal for the most part comes of no where when you are deeply in love. Also, I should note that my ex-girlfriend had ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, was partially deaf in her left ear, was Obsessive Complusive, and had Major Daddy issues. When she was on her meds she was fine, when she was not she was like a 20 something version of Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis. So I'm probably better off with out her although I feel sorry for the St. Louis Garabage man she married and is currently moching off of. -I am not putting down anyone who has any of the conditions that I mentioned. I'm just trying to get across how much of a head case my ex. was. That one Pablo Ridson Francisco joke has nothing on her.- Plus she never wished me well when I was going through my cancer treatments, although she did tell to go do something with a razor studded item and that she thought me going through cancer would have changed me through a few comments on a Xanga account that I uses to post on regularity on posts that had nothing to do with her. It's also interesting how karma works in that the better I was getting in life during the past couple years, the worst she's been getting. Before she moved out of the Chicago Area to live down in St. Louis she severed almost all her ties in the area. Not really a smart idea of burning all of ones bridges since now all of the one time mutual friends are on my side. And to quote one of them, " You put up with her for two years, that should be an automatic ticket into Heaven." I see going through and surviving Cancer as almost a rebirth of sorts. I now try to enjoy every day and not to dewell on the negatives of life. As far as forgiveness goes in her case. I don't really think I could forgive her completely since she basically left a hollow shell of my former self at the time, two mintues after breaking up with me over the phone she was posting on Xanga everything that she found wrong with me, and she was pm one of the guys who she fooled around with behind my back at the anime convention that she was now single and when would be a good time to hook up later in the week.< As I would be told a year and half later from the same guy when I ran into him at another convention>, and spent the longest time in returning my stuff she still had of mine with a note saying notice that nothing was been damaged< I returned all of the stuff that I had of hers the day after the break up to her house>. Although I would never wish for her to go through cancer., No one deserves that fate.

With such classics as Count of Monte Cristo and Rome and Juliet having been made into Anime. What in your opinon would make an interesting Anime or at least a nice spring board for an Anime? The main one that sticks out in my mind is William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelfth_Night Reasons: - mistaken idenities leading to grave/ yet comical misunderstanings. - comedic plans of playback - Crossplaying - Loves which can't be express till the very end. - A cast of characters that wouldn't be out of place in a romanic comedy anime. Although Charles Dicken's Great Expections would be interesting to see too.

Anime Itsudatte My Santa DVD was recalled due to a mis-rating.

I was just at the Deep Discount store in Naperville,IL. that I picked it up at and they still have four copies left. So I guess not everyone got the word. -
So who plans on buying the rumored manga prequel and/or the $99.99 figure that Hasbro is going to put out?

Out of bordom I decited to google random Anime Titles that I have and came across this. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-12-18/funimation-recalls-my-santa-due-to-age-rating-misprint They recalled the dvd because instead of carrying the tv-M rating it was sent out with a tv-PG rating on the box. They will re-release it in 2008 with the proper rating. 1. Did anyone else buy it before the recall? 2. How much ,if any, is the misprint edition worth?

I'm sure that we've all listen to a song and thought gee this would fit -insert Anime title-. Some of the ones I've had. "Gone" by From Zero / Haibane Renmei, The crow caw at the end of song kinda seals it. The song fits Reki and everything she's been through. Although when I first heard it I thought it fit what Rakka could be going through after Kuu's day of flight happened. "Plastic Lips" by The Aqubats/ Chobits. It just seems to fit. "Danger Woman" by The Aqubats/ Saiyuki. The whole song sounds like it could be Lirin's off kilter theme song. "Enough" by Dance Hall Crashers/ Saiyuki. Hakkai's and Gojyo 's first meeting when Hakkai was still Tenpou Gensui and their current relationship as seen through the eyes of many a Yaoi fangirl I've run into at Conventions and on the web is what this song brings to mind. "Breathe" by Taproot/ Saiyuki. Lord Kougaiji's thoughts on his life before Ni put him in berseker mode and his mother issues.

I have to go with some older titles for my picks of Worst Anime. Angel Santuary, an anime that was made mainly to make people read the manga and only really makes sense if you've read some of the manga. The whole incest love angle between the main character and his sister is just the start of what becomes one blood mess that ends in a cliff hanger that continues into the manga. Oh and don't you dare skip the over the openings or closings since little , but really important, parts of the story are shown during it. Earthian: Thank God I don't really remeber much of this anime. Other than angel and fallen angel live together and are cops or something. Robot Carnival: Ok so some parts are kinda good but over all it's more ZZZZZs than anything. Weathering Continent: kinda like Record of Lodass War meets Ninja scroll but with out the pazazz and another series that seems to be part of a larger series that I don't think has been released in America.

First off, they already have made it clear that it is not Godzilla , Gamera, Gappa, King Ghidorah, or any other Kaiju from Japan. The only Godzilla movie that sucks is the horrible 1998 one. The last Godzilla to made was Godzilla: Final Wars and it turned out pretty good , plus Godzilla frys Zilla within five mintues in the film. As far as what this will be I think it's best to wait and see. Although I'm kinda in the same boat of hope for something Lovecraftian. Plus, America really needs be to known for another giant monster outside of King Kong. I mean Japan has Godzilla and the bunch, England has Gorgo and Konga, Italy has the Ymir, Denmark has Reptilacus, South Korea has Yonggary, A.P.E., and The Host, North Korea has Pulgasari, and China has Mighty Peking Man. But what is the monster outside of Kong is automatic recgonized as American. Also, the Host creature was not a sea creature it was sometype of fresh water beastie mutant.

How Did You Come Up With Your Screenname?
onenuttytanuki replied to duorocks17's topic in General Discussion
The plain and simple truth is that I'm into Japanese myths , a testicular cancer survivor since December 2, 2005, and have a real weird view of the world. So my original anime screenname just doesn't really seem to apply to me anymore. -

I currently work as an one on one teacher's aid with student that has Asperger Syndrome. I've been an otaku since I was in High School, but didn't become fullfledged till College. I'm currently following the manga series ;With the Light, Tsubasa, xxxHolic, Trigun Maxium, Saiyuki reload, Aoi House, Hellsing, Megatokyo, Emma, Mushi-shi, Gon, Yotsuba!, Coyote Ragtime Show, and countless others. I'm currently following the Anime series; Mushi-Shi, Hellsing Ultimate, and Tsubasa, and plan on buying Black Blood Brothers, Holic, and Emma when they come out this year. I have watched 60+ animes series and read just as many mangas. I have cosplayed in the past and plan on doing it in the future. I have been to four anime conventions and five Kaiju conventions. I'll be 25 next month. I'm a testicular cancer survivor. I have thought about anime characters that I could dress my lhasa apso as. Mainly becuase I think he could pull off a few off due to his coat pattern looks like a tuxedo.
