RPG For lo! If death should have a face...

Vukodlak: Alright, to make things clear. We're after mainly weapons, and perhaps vehicles. Most likely ATV's, but maybe something along the lines of a tank. Anathema: I can fly a helicopter... Vukodlak: Where the hell did you learn to do that? Never mind. Alright, so we steal a helicopter for our little driver-happy friend here, and I'll take something that we can load up with weapons. Then, we meet up with the others, and go destroy a few major cities... Valeigh: He tends to leave out details, doesn't he? Anthema: Yes, I noticed. Ignoring this, Vukodlak walks towards the compound. -
Yeah, I agree with Jesus Chicken. A thread about relationships (barely, but that's the official topic), is not the kind of place one expects Cloricus to really be able to generate input in. Except for perhaps Vicy... (That was only for the hick comment)

Meh, I'll live. Give me some details some time.

OOC: Steal my lines why don't you... I bet nobody expected to hear that I had ever said anything like that! Zaltazar: Yes, that would explain things. And yes, I do understand. Alastuin: And that you know, it would be best if I left. She starts to remove, but is held bck by Zaltazar. As she turns in the darkness, wondering what he could want, she is surprised by his hand snaking around behind her neck, pulling her face towards his. After softly kissing her for a while, he lets go of her, allowing her to regain her breath (OOC: Sound familiar?). Alastuin: Now that didn't rally surprise me for some reason. Zaltazar: I shold hope not, my love. Alastuin's startled remark is cut off by Zaltazar's mouth. After a few minutes of the more intense kissing, she breaks off again. Alastuin: Hold it. How far is this going. Zaltazar: No further than you want it to.

No, just that strange sound you make when I tell you I love you sometimes.

Bad Jesus Chicken, keeping secrets like that.

I thought it was pretty straightforward. Now, this kind of thing confirms my theory about why the governments are paying so much attention to the ANZACS lately. With the thinning number of veterans over the past few years, the government has not only been pressured into feeling guilty about neglecting them by the public, they are also losing a useful public rallying symbol. So, by freezing an ANZAC veteran, the government is really ensuring that they make a show of honouring the ANZACS, while keeping the digger's influence and legend personally around. A bit far-fetched, a bit cynical, but if you're anything like me, you'll be more than willing to believe the worst about politicians.

Davien: Generalisation are useful. It means I can't be implicated for saying the wrong thing later. Ambiguity is a weapon. Alastuin (sounding disappointed): Oh. Davien: Well, that and the fact that there are people like you around, somewhere. Alastuin: Ah.(OOC: Ravenstorture will understand the sound that signified, but I doubt anyone else will). You've met someone else like me? Davien: No, but I'm sure that there are some who mgiht be something like you. Alastuin: No one really like me though? Davien: Of course not. Perfection is not equalled. Alastuin: You seem over the top sometimes. Kral Thraxx: And you humans are the strangest race I have ever encountered. With that, the drake glides off, using his tail and wings to good effect while navigating the detritus littered trail.

Well, at least there were some benificial effects. Give me a year or two and I might even be able to tell you what they are...

After several fruitless attacks, Davien materialised another sword. Armed with twin scimitars of emanating black light, he spun his familiar attack patterns at Setsuna. As they battled, Davien realised what was happening. They were drawing their energy right out of the earth. Realising this, he smiled grimly. He knew how to win. Channeling the energy he was drawing out of himself and into Setsuna, he was momentarily off balance as Setsuna used the fresh energy to attack furiously. Only Davien's incredible natural speed and the presence of Kain saved him. As Davien continued to channel energy into Setsuna, Setsuna seemed to realise what was happening, as he tried to divert the flow. But it was too late. The amazing amount of energy in the area shimmered in the air for a moment, before dispersing in a shattering explosion that left them all on the verge on death. On the other hand, it also returned the earth to the state it was before the fight, with no sign that anything had happened. After a few hours, some scared villagers ventured out to find the field littered ith bodies, all alive. With strange generousity, they take them back to the village. The first to wake is Setsuna, who immediately leaves, killing all who stand in his way. The other awake later, all at similar times. Kain: What happened? Davien: I overloaded his energy flow. Anathema: And what are you? Davien: Well, I'm not demonic, I'm vampyric, but I'm not strictly speaking human. More like an amalgamation of some of the more powerful elements of the three. Basically, I'm an experiment. Kain: That explains a lot. But what happened to Setsuna?

Davien's voice floats back to him "Actually, I just don't feel most emotions." Kral Thraxx: This is really going to be tedious. Davien: At least it's interesting company. Kral Thraxx: That might be part of the problem. Davien: Ah my lost cathartic friend, how quickly you will adjust. Kral Thraxx stays silent a moment, before speaking in a measured tone Kral Thraxx: Rare is the human who will delare a drake friend. Davien: On the whole they're more interesting company than most humans I know.

Laughing insanely, Davien leapt and spun, his right leg coming up in a spinning crescent, which missed. As he was turned fully around, Davien stabbed back, again missing. Landing, he spins, jo staves held like daggers, with his eyes narrowed. Davien: Well, if you want to be that way about it... Davien's visage darkens, taken on a supernatural cast. From behind him, Anathema gasps. Anathema: I thought you were human! Davien: I am. Remember how I mentioned some blood transfusions a while back? Not all of them were human... With an almost demonic cast set upon his features, Davien's biology warps, setting him humming with energy. Twisted appendages emerge from his back, transforming into bat-like wings. Davien: How quickly the stakes change when you dice with death.
-
After a startled, instinctive shying away, during which attempt he is restrained by Alastuin, Zaltazar calms down, and replies in a thoughtful tone. Zaltazar: Strange. That you should feel that way. But really, that could mean anything. Alastuin: You just want me to spell something out, don't you. Zaltazar (in an infuriatingly reasonable tone): Well, if you don't, I'll never know if I'm right. So really, it's your move.

Did he say that? I don't remember. Classic banner by the way..

Now aware that his crossbow is useless against an enemy like Setsuna, Davien rushes in, his twin viper again tracing the air around him. In a series of attacks that closely resemble a cycle of blades mixed with martial arts, Davien ends up with staff snapped in two. Setsuna advances, but Davien throws them into the air, spinning them sharply, while performing a high kick between them, pushing Setsuna back. Catching the two pieces, which fractured evenly, creating basically two jo staves, Davien advances on Setsuna again, this time using his weapons as swords, with a longer handle. Davien: Dodge this. (OOC: Sorry, couldn't resist) Davien snaps off two increbily fast attacks, one high, one low, yet still manages to hit nothing. As Setsuna appears behind him, Davien is warned by some instinct, and instead of turning, backflips, and slices down, tracing two lines of red down Setsuna's back. He steps back, waiting for Setsuna to attack again. Davien: Good fight.
-
OOC: Is this getting a little cloying? Almost at a loss for words, choked by feelings never before experienced, Davien leans forward and embraces Spyder tenderly. In her ear he whispers his love for her, tears coursing down his cheeks. Spyder: You're a bit too emotional my love. Davien: It's your fault. Spyder: I'm not complaining. Davien: I love you. Seemingly also consumed by emotion, Spyder does not directly reply, but merely tightens their embrace, tipping her head up slightly, kissing Davien hard. Davien: Thank you.

And then you have the almost legendary arrogance of certain recent American leaders...
-
But the comparitive moralities in assorted religions when applied to war, or religious war? Which is a whole new barrel of fun...

Davien sent a spinning blow at the ankles, causing Setsuna to leap above him. As he reached the apex of his flight, Davien rose and spun away, brining his twin viper around so that it crashed into Setsuna's side, spinning him along with Davien. Even as he flew through the air though, Setsuna stabilised himself, rolling to his feet and kicking the advancing Davien in the face. Davien too leaps to his feet, drawing his pistol crossbow and firing off three quick shots. The others rush the distracted Setsuna, with Davien aiming for another few shots.

Zaltazar: It's up to you. Personally I think it would be best if we'd stayed put for a while. Alastuin: Why? Zaltazar: So I can work out what is going on. Alastuin: Alright. Zaltazar: You don't seem tha happy about it all of a sudden. I thought you didn't want to move? Alastuin: I could explain it, but I don't think you'd understand. Zaltazar: I have a feeling I would. Explain it anyway.
-
Actually Alley Cat, I know who you are, and it IS rather obvious. Yeah, you'd better run! Ah, let us face it, I don't care. The comment is appreciated Mist.

Cathos: That demon, she'll just hurt you. She's only using you. Davien: Damn it Cathos, you're making this sound like a bad daytime soap. Cathos: So what. I just don't trust her. Davien: I do, and with reason. Cathos: You're just completely smitten with her. Davien: And? I have a history of loving some very strange people remember. Cathos: This is different. Davien: Yes, it's more intense. Cathos: Well then, if you're set on self-destruction, I will no longer try to stop you. Cathos walks out, and Davien makes no attempt to stop him, instead going back to the room, lying next to Spyder and shading his eyes with his hand.
-
Davien: I don't know about anyone else, but this is starting to annoy me, and nobody said we had to play by the rules. Let's finish this now. Kain: No! This is my fight! Davien: You can try to do something about it later, but I don't recommend it. Shall we. Davien starts to spin his twin viper in elaborate patterns, creating an almost visible mesh of steel around him. Keeping the momentum going with almost laconic flicks of his wrists and arms, he advances on Setsuna, followed by the others.

After a period of rather questionable driving, the three pass the first base, leaving the others to take care of it. After another period of locomotion that left a lot to be desired, except in the abdominal region, they approach the second base, pulling up some distance from it, and advancing on foot. Vukodlak: Alright, let us go then. Try not to be too noisy until we are inside. And as for you, my resident expert, what would be the best way to sneak in? Anathema: I thought we were here to cause havoc? Vukodlak: We're sneaking in, busting out. To quote the old playwright: Havok and Werre! The three creep up to one of the fences adjoining the jungle, weapons at ready. -
Kredion: Well, you two seemed to be busy. Davien: None of your business. What happened to Kral Thraxx? Kral Thraxx: He seems to have a decent reason, yet I will follow along, to keep an eye on him. Davien: Good. Now, if you will all excuse me. Davien walks off after Alastuin, Kral Thraxx following him.
