Closed threads?

[lea]

i have a question....why cant closed threads be deleted after a few days?

Well... My guess would be that threads that have some valid points, but the discussion has just run dry, those threads are there to be pointed at next time the comment/query comes up. And, imagine you make a post, and that thread is locked for whatever reason. Then gets deleted. You come back a few days later, and this post is nowhere to be found. You could spend hours searching for it O_o;;

I dunno... that's just my take on it.

And we leave closed threads there as an example of what not to do, generally. We can easily point to these threads when we advise members of the rules.

Wouldn't it also lower your post count? Because when you delete a post you post count lowers, so Im guessing it would do it for that as well.
