Izzy Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 There are typos in the .hack manga, that makes me mad. EXAMPLE: The character page in manga two has Orca's name spelt as Ouka and on the back they spelt Rena's name as Reina. Ugh, ergh, eek
Angelus_Necare Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 It seems as if they purposfully changed Orca's name to Ouka, to sound a bit more how the orriginal manga had it spelled or how it was supposed to sound. The reina thing actualy may just be the result of a typo, as you said.

So what, a character's name may be spelled wrong, or there's a misspelled word here or there? Everyone makes mistakes, even publishers and translators. As Angelus said, it may indeed be due to the fact that the translator wanted the name to be closer to the original spelling. As for the other name, I have no idea, as I've never read the series. But that's beside the point I'm trying to make. There's no point in finding mistakes in a manga and talking about them here. If there is a mistake, the publishers will eventually catch it and fix it in the next printing. Having a thread here where eveyone is saying something along the lines of "Ooo, look! They spelt Kagome's name wrong on page 86 of Volume 3!" is just not going to fly. Thread Closed.[/color]
