Just follow FFVIII's storyline... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Neil and Craig train, away from Seifer and Squall.* Neil: *Swings Gunblade towards Craig, which he blocks with his own, and they repeat the whole prosses over again* C'mon, Craig! Do ya think Seifer would think this is ok?! Craig: *Slices with Gunblade and hits ground* Squall would think bad of you for that! Neil: Hey, I still dodged it! *Charges Craig* Craig: *Prepares by charging Neil back* Yeah, but you were too....SLOW! *Craig swings and catches Neil's vest, tearing it* Neil: HEY! This thing cost a lot of Gil! Craig: And... Neil: *Charges Craig again* IT'S MY FAVORITE!!! *Craig launches at magic spell: Fire* *The spell hits Neil in the chest, knocking him over. The spell didn't do much damage, just kept him down.* Neil: THAT'S IT!!! *Neil cocks the Gunblade, and fires it at Craig!* Craig: $HIT!!! *Craig swings his Gunblade up in time to catch the bullet, which has almost gone through his blade!* Craig: *Pulls out bullet. A hole now remains in the blade* YOU IDIOT! WHAT IF I HADEN'T BLOCKED?! Neil: WHAT IF THIS WAS A BATTLE?! Excellent! ---------------------------------------------------------- Neil charges down Craig, nd Craig raises his hand, and shoots a thunder attack at Neil. Neil is knocked back, but quickly recovers. Craig charges at Neil in a full on attack, and swoops his Gunblade at Neil. Neil cocks his head to the side, as if he has been hit badly. He raises his left hand to cover his face. He looks back at Craig, with a cut in between his eyes, going like \. Blood pours down his face. Craig: Sh.it! Are you okay man? Neil looks on secerly angry. He swoops his Gunblade up at Craig, and strikes him in the face. Craig cocks his head violently to the side, and spins around while fallling heavily to the floor. Blood is thrown everywhere from the force of the 2 strikes. The both lie there, motionless. Neil with a scar like \, and Craig with a scar like /. Both are bleeding heavily. Both Gunblade, splattered with the blood of their owners opponents. Suddenly several SeeD members wak over the small hill where the boys are training. Xu: Dammit, what happened here! He sees Craig laying in a bed across from him, his head bandaged. Neil reaches up and feels his head. As he does, pain shoots though his head, a pain that causes him to fall unconsense again. ~~~LATER~~~ Neil awakens to the sound of birds chirping, and Xu standing next to his bed with a smirk on her face. She shakes her head as Neil slowly sits up. Neil: Ma'am! Xu: At ease. Neil relaxes a bit, but as his brother, he is always tence, and perfers to be left alone. Neil: Ma'am, what happened? Xu: *Chuckles* You and Craig basically sliced each other up. Neil: I remember now. *Shakes head* But, how did I get here? Where's Craig? Xu: Craig has been released already. He got a better cut in. But yours wasn't too shaby. Oh, we found you out there. Neil: You did? But, we were a few miles away from the Garden. Xu: Seifer called you guys in. We had a double-dipper this time. Neil: Whatdya mean? Xu: Take a look at these. *Hands Neil some pictures* Neil: What tha Hell......? Xu: Exactly. You and Squall have a near-identical cuts. The same goes for Craig and Seifer... Neil: Too weird...When can I be released? Xu: Now. You have full memory, and you apparently can see well, right? Neil: Sure do... Can I go? Xu: *Chuckles* I'm borin' ya, eh? Neil: No, I just need to get to Instructor Lep's class. I have the field exam today. Xu: :worried: You sure you can go through with it? Neil: You bet! Xu: Ok, then you had better go! OH, Neil! Neil: what is it, Ma'am? Xu: It's tomorrow.......The field exam is tomorrow Neil: Oh....OK, bye... Neil leaves the Infimary and runs towards Instructor Lep's classroom. He arrives just in time and sits in his seat, next to Craig. Craig: You still have your bandage on... Neil: Thanks...*Neil takes off the bandage and throws it away* Next time...try to [i]not[/i] slice me like Swiss cheese. Craig: Back at ya... Instructor Lep: Quite down everyone! As you all may know, the field exam is tomorrow. Only those who have passed the written exam will participate. You will be.....'partnered'.....with the person I tell you in the letters I sent out to your rooms and to your houses. Good luck. We will all meet at the Front Gate at 0800 hours to take you to the location. As you all may know, this is your only class today, and it ends............NOW! The bell rings, and students start leaving. Craig: See ya, Neil! Neil: Where ya goin'? Craig: I wanna see how Seifer is doin'. Neil: Yeah, I'm gonna go see Squall. See ya! Kain-Why did you come to Garden? Espa-Why? Kain-No reason...... Espa-I'm goin into town for a while. Kain-Sure whatever... After a few minutes, the class imerges. Neil sees Seifer. Neil: Seifer! Seifer: Whadya want? Huh? Neil: Jeez...someone woke up on the wrong side of the preverbial bed...Just sayin' 'hey' Seifer: Whateva... Neil watches Seifer walk off and shakes his head. Squall finally imerges. Neil: Squall! Squall: Hmm? Hey, guy. Neil looks at Squall's cut, and Squall looks at Neil's. Neil: Not too bad... Squall: Back at ya. Neil and Squall begin to walk off, when a young girl mows them both down. Girl:.......I'M SORRY! I was just in a hurry to get to Instructor Trepe's class! Uh.....is homeroom over? Squall: Yeah. Girl: WAAAAH! This place is so big! Heeeey! Can you show me around? Pleeeeaaaasseee??? Squall: Why not? Girl: Yaaaaaaah! Neil: See ya, Squall. It looks like you're gonna be busy for a while! Squall: Yeah, see ya! Squall and the girl walk off, and Neil heads out of the Garden and starts walking to the next town to busy supplies for tomorrow's field exam. Neil runs up, attacking the first B.B., killing it with one slice, heads over to the other, and slices it clean in half. He just stands and shoots the third B.B., and runs back next to Kain. All this in about 1 second. Kain stands on looking in amazement. Kain: Damn, boy. You fast...Wait a sec. Neil, as in Squall's brother?! Neil: Yup, that's right. Kain: Then you're the one! You're the one that scored highest with the Gunblade! Neil: Just the 16 on down division. Kain: Is there such a thing? Neil: Yeah, but as soon as we go on the field exam, we play with the big boys. Squall: Very funny, twerp. C'mon, we gotta go. Neil: Where? Squall: All of you. The Garden just called. Neil: We gotta buy some items, man. Squall: Been there, done that... Neil: Potions, tents, Phonix Downs? Squall: A few thousand Gil spent in about 10 seconds. Neil: Well, then we had betta go, you guys. Kain: But, I need Ifrit! Neil: Dude, the Garden called.You gonna tell 'um to wait? There'll be time for your Ifrit. Let's go, NOW! They all start running off towards Balamb Garden. Squall: You two go get a GF Kain: .....YEAAAHHH!!!! Neil: Squall? Let's go... Squall:................. Neil and Squall run off towards the dorms, and they go past the Training Zone. Trepe: We just got a call from Dollet. They've been attacked by the Galbadian army! Neil: So what now? Trepe: Dollet hired us to take care of the Galbadian army. The field exam has been moved to today! Neil: Will there be an annoucement? Trepe: There already has been one. You didn't hear it? Neil: No. Hey, where we going, ma'am? Trepe: Fronte Gate! Craig and Neil rush over to Seifer. As does Squall, Espa, and Kain. Craig: So...... this is our group. Seifer: Great. I'm stuck with my brother and a bunch of weaklings. Instructor Trepe: Quiet. Get to the transports. All the teams run towards the transport section of the Garden. Seifer's team (Team B), get into their designated car. Seifer, Kain and Squall on one side. Craig, Espa, and Neil on the other side. The car soon pulls away. Kain:*To Craig* Hey, I haven't seen you around before. Kain holds out his hand for Craig to shake. Craig: Hey Kain, the names Craig. Craig shakes his hand. Seifer: Craig, before I forget, I got you a present. Craig: You................. a present. rrriiiiiigggghhhhhhtttt. Seifer: No, I did. Here. Seifer throws Craig a big package. Craig opens it and sees a brand new Gunblade, that is exactly like Seifers. Seifer: I think your strong enough to have one like that now. It's exactly like mine, and custom built so only you can use it. Craig: WOW! Thanks bro. The car suddenly pulls to a stop. They get out at Balamb harbour. Neil: Whoa. Cool ships. Neil: A victory's a victory as far as I'm concerned. Seifer: Grrr........... Instructor Trepe: Stop this bikering! We must go over the plan of attack. Xu, if you would. Xu: Hi, as you know, Galbadian forces entered Dollet 72 hours ago. They pushed the residents of Dollet out of the streets within 24 hours, and they are now in nearby mountains. We recieved a distress call from Dollet 48 hours ago, and we are now moving in. Team B, your job is to secure the town center, and await further instructions. Xu and Instructor Trepe sit down again.
