(<AA>) Posted November 8, 2001 Posted November 8, 2001 Do you think it'll be good?I don't know if ANY vampire movie can do what Interview with a vampire did for me.That was a great movie.BUT Aaliyah(plays Akasha) is gonna be in this new movie,And she's really talented,but I don't know about this stuart townsend(Plays Lestat) guy...And I guess I'll read the books to get a better Idea...well 'nuf about me Whats ur opinion?

Sephiroth Posted November 8, 2001 Posted November 8, 2001 the film will be released even if aaliyah is dead, they never spent millions on a film only to have it held back.... think about it, jason lee died during the making of the crow, but the film was still released and they got a stunt double for the remaining scenes, tupac has been dead since 97, yet his albums are still released....

Lady Macaiodh Posted November 9, 2001 Posted November 9, 2001 i personally can't wait to see it. queen of the damned is the best anne rice book ever, the only one where all the vamps get together. i don't really like aaliyah as akasha though. akasha is egyptian, i don't thinks aaliyah looks the part. but i guess we'll have to wait & see. stuart townsend is pretty good as lestat, he's a LOT better than tom cruise. check out my quote... | | | V

Lady Macaiodh Posted November 9, 2001 Posted November 9, 2001 steve! you've GOT to finish tale of the body thief. lestat is at his absolute best in that book. it's also the last book where he's his old self. in the next book, memnoch the devil, he goes insane & catatonic. he doesn't really come out of it til merrick, that's like 3 books later.
