Have you ever bore witness to the troubles of a man broken down
Fighting to keep his head above water, but knowing he is to drown
The currents too strong to fight, the water ice cold
Man is a creature produced to be purchased, traded and sold
Are you worth your weight in gold?

How often do people live just to bleed
It is off their lives that canabilistic desire will feed
Those people look at them like they're a curse; a disease
A vex unto society, yet they beg, "For the love of God, help us please!"
Alas, broken down people are nothing more than insignificant fleas,

America, an opprotunist individual, briskly walks by,
"You're to get nothing from me," it declares, "Why don't you just die?"
Where is the church and its ideals now? Where is Jesus with his infinite bread?
It goes without being said
No miracle can save it' The American Dream is dead

Do the eyes of fate judge us by the color of our skin
Sometimes being different or unique is a man's greatest sin
I wish that I could sleep
While the world passes me by; I'm not one to watch it weep
Since when was life a commodity that came so cheap

That woman had a family; it's sad but true
Temporarily blessed with a husband, son and a little girl too
What life giveth it taketh away
Happiness is fleeting; not meant to stay
Regretfully I must concur; Your happiness might be the next to end today

Mankinds blood flows thick with hate
Perhaps the expulsion of values is our proper fate
Sick of all the violence, hatred and greed
With disgust on my face, I scoff, "America the Beautiful indeed
