Nop thats not true, he first appeared in Dragon Ball after the second tournament. When piccolo ordered his two sons to kill all the the fighters in that tournament and look for the dragon balls. Goku fougth one of the sons and lost becouse he was weak after the tournament, then he eated someone´s food that was in a pot and ended up being Yayirobe´s food. He was angry but the piccolo´s son showed up and yayirobe killed him and then he eated him. That´s how they met.
In the third tournament he fought as the masked fighter.

(Goku fougth Piccolo´s sons becouse they killed Krilin when the second tournament was completed)

This is just about it. Yajirobe is one of those characters that fade as the series progresses. He is seen in GT when Goku is gathering energy for the Ultimate Spirit Bomb he uses to kill Il Shenron in The Il Shenron Saga, but that's it.

No....the originsl King Piccolo was killed by Gokou, and Piccolo in a last ditch effort to save himself threw up an egg that carried DBZ's Piccolo.
