This poem is named for my ex-girlfiend, but it may also relate to what everyone kinda goes through. Tell me what you think... [B]A.M.Y[/B] Define your reality! Give Me some critiques on this one... [U]Crash Override[/U] The confirmations of the past have come to pass. Try now as I many, write now as I may, and still the purpsose of my very own existence I cannot portray. My thoughts have undergone a foray. And alas comes the voice of contradictions of whom he is the enemy of my convictions. The rebellious voice of contemptuous years, negative pressure from peers, Contradictions: good versus evil, I can't get my head clear. Too many decisions; cant subside my fears. Do's or don'ts, parents or peers, Macy's or Sears? Contradictions subside my convictions and overshadow my life's mission. I need to make a decision, like being an African American doesn't already force me into remission; FDR,MLK,MALCOLM X, KKK! Life is full of contradiction: To get rich you must first be poor, to achieve peace we must go to war, to succeed we must learn more, and we look to the past to see what the future has in store. -TheHackman

Where did you get this poem from? I really like it. I can relate to it in a sense, and I would really like to know who wrote it.

Lets see howmany of you have felt this way on a cold winter day... [U]Ectasy[/U] I step into the shower I slide the glass frame of he window to the left and immediately I am battered. Whipped with the harsh tendrils of a cold wind brewing outside. The lashes give me goosebumps. My skin turns ashy; gray. I turn on the faucet in hopes of drenching myself in a succulent aura of warmth to relieve the agony and pain caused by my nearly subzero assailant. I lift the plug on the newly furnished brass tap. Immediately I feel sprinkles of warmth upon my face, and trickling down the nakedness of my body. Warmth aginst cold, wind vs. water, as though the forces of nature were waging a was on my bare skin. But the warmth is overwhelming. Enraptured in this state of being, my eyes blurr, my thoughts wander, and dreams start to form.

Its a poem dedicated to the ladies:(excuse any typos) [U]Insight[/U] I envision, I envision a child who through all the torment, suffring and brutallity life has to offer, grows up to be a figure of a girl... I envision a girl, a girl whose hair, like her thoughts, flows like a river and changes with the ocean's tides as the moon reaches its peak in the sky and shines a valiant light upon its waves. Whose waves ripple through a luscious valley into maturity... I envision a woman, a woman whose beauty shines far greater than any single beacon bright, any single ray of sunlight, that shines through the deepest depths of darkness of my life to shine some light on my life... I envision you.

I compliment ur poems with one of my own. Endless wonders words seem to have trutful emotions whether good or bad your words hold truth and make me glad keep up the work, your totally rad!

I hate vulger language, so I've mellowed this poem down... [U]Live 4 Reality[/U] There are times when I just want to shout "Wake Up" Because your living a fantasy, you think everything in life is sugar coated and easy, You think everything in life is about sociality and popularity Well, "WAKE UP" You need to stop taking those pills of ectasy, and get yourself back into reality. I don't care how you look, I don't how you derss, I don't care who you f**k, I could care less. Don't tell me how much your shoes cost, Don't tell me it looks like I got my clothes for Ross, Don't tell me how much you paid for the "ice" you "floss" cause if you do you're at a lose and I'll tell you to f**k off! You're deceiving yourself, cheating yourself, take some time to look at yourself, believe in yourself, be yourself! Don't try to please me, he, her, she; Man! Who are you trying to deceive, can't you see, don't try to live up to that hip hop fantasy, be who you ought to be, Live 4 Reality!
