Mei: I had a dream like that too... except... [i]Mei hadn't told anyone about her premonition. She was afraid that she'd cause a general panic.[/i] Amber: What is it Mei? Nate: You can tell us. [i]She bit her lower lip.[/i] Mei: In my dream... Tobias showed up... Max: The guy who gave her the sapphire that controlled her. [i]The rest nodded at Max's explination.[/i] Mei: He... and I fought. And... I lost. Max: Wait, you lost, or something else? Mei: I... died. [i]Silence.[/i] Max: What do you mean you died?! Mei: Max, I died. I was drowned in mud. Max: And no one helped you or anything?! [i]Mei blinked away tears of pain.[/i] Mei: You came to help me. Max: But if you died... what happened to me? Mei: I guess you could call it a trade off, (she tried to laugh) I died trying to save you, and you died trying to save me.

[i]Hiro drew her daggers out of their leather holister.[/i] [color=sandybrown]Hiro: Okay! Just tell me where to point these things and I'll take care of it![/color] [color=teal]Sakura: It's not that easy. I don't want to know what kind of abilities THESE things have.[/color] [color=sandybrown]Hiro: So what's the big deal? I trap them, then fry them to Kingdom Come! Piece of--[/color] [i]Hiro was cut short by a blow to the jaw. She was on the floor wiping her mouth before anyone could so much as gasp.[/i] [color=sandybrown]Hiro: So... this thing wants to play like that huh? Too bad for it that my forte is street fighting!![/color] [i]She was answered by a kick to her gut. She went sailing across the room to land in a nearby wall.[/i] [color=sandybrown]Hiro: Okay... you guys can take it from... here... ouch...[/color]

[i]Aziza stood in the middle of what seemed to be a totally abandoned village. She hiked her backpack up on her shoulders and proceeded to knock on a door. There was no answer.[/i] Aziza: Uh... hello? I'm a traveller, and I was wondering if I could stay here for the night... [i]She entered the house. It was totally devoid of any life. There was an entire meal on the stove, but it had boiled over and burnt on the stove and the fire had gone out.[/i] Aziza: Weird... This place is really creeping me out... [i]She turned around and happened to glance above the doorframe. Smeared above the door was a thick line of red blood.[/i] Aziza: Oh my GOD!!!!!!!! [i]Aziza backed into a table, her eyes still on the stain. She screamed at the top of her lungs.[/i]

A pair of pointy ears perked at the sound of the gunshot. Tachiko Estel, elf miko, had left the clearing hours ago and had ventured out on her own. Her own cellcom slapped at her pants as she ran swiftly through the woods. She stopped when she heard the loud crack of a gun being fired. She knew that she was safe. No one could catch an elf in their natural environment. However, something about it sent the hairs on her neck straight up. She looked down at the staff that lay in a small cylinder in her hand, then at the cellcom. She remembered waking up around several teens, all around her age. However, she didn't know where she was. Her first instinct was to get away from the seemed massacre, but now, she remembered seeing a silver rod next to a girl. That... was the Rod of the Realms... what a fool she had been! She turned around and began running towards her destiny.

[color=sandybrown]Hiro: Hey, new person.[/color] Hiro stepped down the stairs and joined Ki and Silia. [color=sandybrown]Hiro: Hey hey how you doing, name's Hiroko, but everyone calls me Hiro. At least I do. You must be another one of the newbies. Join the club. So can we get this thing on the road? I want to eat breakfast soon.[/color] [color=darkblue]Ki: Do you always talk that fast?[/color] [color=sandybrown]Hiro: No, but I'm very irritated today. I just HAD to walk toward the temple, didn't I? So what exactly is going on...[/color] Silia: Silia. I know that you're new, so just try to keep an open mind as I say what I'm about to say... (Eh... not qualified to fill this out... ^_^;; )

[i]All was right again at the Element X base. However, in a dark, dingy corner of nowhere, an evil plot was moving along rather nicely.[/i] Tobias: Listen, all we have to do is invade the base. It's that simple. I'll con Mei again, the airhead, and it'll be homefree. The likes of them can't exist in this world. Jennis: That's right. That Mei made a damned fool out of me, and she'll live to regret it. I'll destroy everything dear to her with my own two hands! Michael: Be careful Jennis, your target should be Max. Mei is nothing compared to him. We need to all focus on our own targets, or better, assign new targets so that we will have an advantage over them. Tobias: What, like me going after Max? Jennis: Exactly. You're not such a fool after all. Tobias: Watch your mouth Jennis, I too pack water power. Maximill: Then it's settled, we'll attack when we all have reconveined and taken down our targets. Tobias: That's right. Wait, Mei has no weakness. Jennis: What are you talking about? Lightning...? Tobias: But Kokuun has abandoned us and wants to become one of THEM. Michael: Can't you just drown her or something? Tobias: Not in water... Jennis: I'm not going up against her! Tobias: What a coward. I will take care of Mei and Max. You just focus on Amber. Before the end of the week, the Element X will be dead.

[i]Umeko practically crawled out of the house. She was still not feeling well, even though she had stopped expelling pollen.[/i] [b]Max:[/b] What happened?! I was just sleeping and... Basu's gone! [b]Umeko:[/b] God, it's all my fault. [b]Sakura:[/b] No it's not. He escaped on his own. [b]Umeko:[/b] I- I'm a dead woman! He's going to kidnap me, or... kill me... [b]Max:[/b] That isn't going to happen. I promise. [b]Umeko:[/b] I feel even worse than I did. I need some air, I need to go and pick a lock or something. However, they couldn't help feeling a slight twinge of foreboding doom.[/i]

Apparently, she was a "new person" and couldn't be trusted yet. Hiro started to wonder if there had been some kind of mistake with her power. Maybe static... [i]Hiroko rubbed her eyes as the sun blinded her.[/i] Hiro: Sheesh, morning already?! I was looking forward to a couple extra minutes... [i]She pulled on her shoes and set her sunglasses in her hair. She also strapped the holister that held her two three-pronged daggers to her hip.[/i] Hiro: There we go. Now... to find some suckers. [i]Hiro had arrived at the island after touching a mysterious stone at least a week ago. She had no clue what she was doing there, but she didn't have much of a family and didn't mind the island. She eyed a palm tree out of the corner of her eye.[/i] Hiro: HA!! (she threw the daggers so they stuck in the tree, then flipped her sunglasses down) LIGHTNING RODS! [i]Lightning sizzled through her hair and her arms and legs. The two daggers served as lightning rods and electrified the tree, charring the trunk and causing it to fall. Hiro jumped out of the way just in time.[/i] Hiro: Whew! That was... [i]In the distance, Hiro noticed a temple.[/i] Hiro: Never noticed that before... [i]Mindlessly, she walked closer to the temple until she was climbing the steps.[/i] Kiara: I see. Alright. I'm sorry you must leave me. I wish you luck on finding the new Moon Guardian. Tate: Can you use any magic? Hiro: ME?! Ha ha, no way. But, just between you and me, I've perfected a little technique I like to call the Lightning Rod. Tate: Lightning Rod?! She became the head preistess for the Elves and prays for her clan to be protected. However, she recieved a disturbing vision of a rod that could destroy all and she set out to make sure that the possessor of the rod's intentions were good. Weapon: Martial arts staff. Aziza: (yawns) Oh... morning already? Jeez, the sun is bright... [i]Slowly, Aziza Yoko trudged out of her collection of blankets. She pulled on her boots and set her glasses on her nose and started to gather firewood for breakfast.[/i] Aziza: It's been around eight months since my village was destroyed. I wonder... if I'll ever find them... [i]Soon, Aziza had some meat frying in a pan and some bread toasting on a stick by the fire.[/i] Aziza: I've been having these weird premonitions lately... something about... a man being killed... [i]Aziza was nervous. She didn't know the person, but her premonitions had a tendancy of coming true. She had dreamed for years about the day that her village would be destroyed, and that had come true. Aziza took out a scrap of paper from her back shorts pocket. [i]Max and Nate sat around talking to each other about what had happened. They kept an eye on Mei's condition, just to make sure that she would recover fully from her wounds. All was peaceful on the outside, but on the inside, a battle was raging.[/i] {In Mei's Dream} Mei: Huh...? Where am I? [i]She recognized the room she was in as a classroom. It was totally empty and she herself was short of breath, like she had been running for a long period of time. It was hard for her to move, as it always was in her dreams. Suddenly, the doorknob rattled. Mei's instinct told her to block the door, but Max's voice came from behind it.[/i] Max: Mei, Mei! Open the door quick! [i]She complied. Max stood panting in the doorframe.[/i] Max: The- the Black X's are storming the school! They're armed with... I don't know what, but they've got the teachers! We've got to get out of here! Mei: The Black X's?! How'd they get in?! Max: I don't know, someone must have tipped them off or something. Nate, Amber and everyone else, they're all okay, but I had to come after you! Mei: Okay. Let's- [i]Suddenly, the room started filling with water. Mei was up to her ankles before she knew it. Tobias suddenly appeared behind Max. Before he could react, Tobias had landed a hit square where Max's neck met his shoulder. Max crumpled to the ground.[/i] Mei: MAX!! Tobias: Heh, two birds with one stone. She couldn't see or breathe. She swam around trying to find Max, but she couldn't. She found Tobias and began to hit him. Mei lay there breathing heavily.[/i] Nate: What is it?! Mei: *I shouldn't say anything, it could have just been a bad dream. Yeah...* Oh. Sorry. I just had a nightmare. Max: About what? Mei: I... *Lie! Lie!* It was about, the sapphire. I dreamed that I was taken over by it again. Max: Oh, don't worry about that. I destroyed it. Mei: Yeah... and it's never coming back again...

[i]Mei stared up in horror at Nate. She could feel his anger burrowing into her. She couldn't speak, she could only gape and hope that Nate had made some kind of mistake.[/i] Nate: I have one question for you, b*tch. [i]Mei was shocked. Nate never used profanity. He was too smart for that.[/i] Nate: Are you going to allow me to ask you before I kill you? [i]Mei gulped and nodded slowly.[/i] Nate: You always seemed incompetant to me because you were always late. How could one so useless destroy an entire village? How COULD YOU?! Mei clutched her hands to her head and trembled.[/i] Nate: Hiding from justice now, after you killed so many. Fearing for your own life. How does it feel to be on the other side? [i]He kicked her back forcefully. Mei went sprawling into the dirt, coughing and wincing.[/i] Nate: Get up. [i]Mei stood up, her legs wobbled. She crossed her arms in front of her heart to protect her vitals. Nate laughed.[/i] Nate: Useless. You've left yourself wide open to ATTACK! [i]Nate charged at her with his spiked gauntlets. Mei braced herself. She expected to be hit in the chest or the face, but neither attack came. Nate went for her stomach.[/i] Nate: THIS IS FOR ME AND WHAT YOU DID TO MY EMOTIONS!! [i]The spikes sunk into Mei's stomach, her eyes wide with suprise. She pushed him away so that he couldn't turn her insides into soup. Eight tiny holes blossomed with blood onto her black tank top. She coughed and a tiny red stream went down a corner of her mouth.[/i] Nate: Now you'll know what it's like to be tortured to death. [i]Mei did the only thing she could think of and do. She started to run away, screaming for help.[/i] Mei: SOMEBODY HELP ME! I'M BEING ATTACKED!! Nate: Where are YOU going? I'm not done with you! THIS one is for everyone you killed!! [i]Nate easily fired a shadow void at her, sending her careening into a nearby tree. She slid down the trunk and then fell onto the soil, coughing up even more blood.[/i] Nate: I doubt that anyone can hear you anyway. This area is so remote, that not even someone on the edge of the forest could hear you. Mei: I dunno... (cough) My lungs are pretty good... Nate: Get up. [i]Mei didn't move.[/i] Nate: GET UP OR I'LL KILL YOU NOW. [i]Mei staggered to her feet.[/i] Nate: That's better. [i]He began an onslaught of punches to Mei's face and arms. She was being cut up pretty badly, but nothing that she couldn't handle. Nate swiftly kicked her in the gut, expelling more blood. Mei fell to the ground, writhing in pain.[/i]

[i]Mei turned away from Kiara's image. She felt like she was going to be sick.[/i] Mei: I can't stand this! (she ran away from everyone) Max: Hey! Mei! Where are you going!? Mei: I don't know! But away from here!! [i]She ran at a moderate pace, trying to get the image of the blood, the fire, the death, and mostly, the mask out of her mind. She practically flew down the stairs and out the front door. She still had the image of a figure in the mask trying to kill her. She ran faster and faster, finally resorting to screaming at the top of her lungs.[/i] Mei: WHY WON'T THIS GO AWAY?!! GET IT OUT!! STOP IT! MAKE IT STOP!!! [i]Mei ran into the forest, trying to distract herself from remembering things, but the deeper into the forest she ran, the stronger the images became. She screamed again, tearing at the locks of hair that hung in front of her face. She closed her eyes and ran blindly, which wasn't too smart, because she smacked into something. It was too soft to be a tree.[/i] Mei: (wiping tears from her eyes and looking up) N- Nate...? [i]He stared back down at her, no trace of any emotion in his face.[/i] Mei: Nate! You have to help me! I keep getting these images of-! [i]There it was, right in front of her. It was the mask, she could see it, but only for an instant. She backed away, totally helpless. She had left her weapons in her bag at the infirmary.[/i]

[i]Mei suddenly drew in her breath rapidly. Something didn't feel right.[/i] Max: Something wrong? Mei: No. [i]*YES!! Yes there IS something wrong!!* Mei felt her words get caught in her throat. Her head filled with screaming, fire, and mostly death. Suddenly, a mask covered it all. She couldn't see anything that was burning or dying, or alie for that matter. She looked down at her hands. She would have screamed, but she couldn't speak. They seemed to be ebbing away, like she was made of sand and was melting to the floor.[/i] Max: Mei? Mei! MEI?! [i]Max stared at her. She was gaping at her trembling hands and sweating bullets. She wasn't responding to anything, she was only making a horrible gasping noise, like she was choaking. Max shook her by the shoulders, but she didn't do anything. [/i] Max: I can't stand this anymore! Time for drastic measures! (he slapped her across the face) SNAP OUT OF IT!! [i]Mei fell to the floor, blinking furiously. She looked up at Max and touched her face.[/i] Max: I-! I-! Uh... I was afraid you were choaking or something, and you didn't talk to me or anything and I-! Mei: Something is wrong with one of the Element Xs! [i]Max was kind of taken aback by this comment.[/i] Mei: Something about death, destruction, and a mask! The mask began... killing me... Max: (skeptically) A mask? Mei: I am so serious! I was... discintegrating! I couldn't form a void, my weapons melted into nothing and my panther didn't come to help me... Max: Okay, once we get Amber, we'll check out the situation, okay? [i]Mei nodded weakly.[/i]

[b]Umeko:[/b] Let's kick it! Ohhh... (she bends over and grips her stomach.) I... can't get up. Everything's spinning. [b]DFX:[/b] We can't just sit here and wait for her to recover. [i]Sakura nodded. As much as she hated to admit it, they had to leave Umeko there for now.[/i] [b]Sakura:[/b] Are you going to be okay by yourself? [b]Umeko:[/b] Oh heck yeah. You guys just go right ahead. I'll walk around the house for a bit and get used to walking around. [i]Eve nodded, then tipped her head to signal to everyone that it was time to go.[/i] [b]Umeko:[/b] Go kick some butt for me! [i]The door shut.[/i] [i]*Please come back. And be careful. [i]Umeko rolled over and coughed up some more pollen. Sakura looked just a bit disgusted, but smiled.[/i] [b]Umeko:[/b] Sorry... can't help it. [b]Sakura:[/b] That's okay. It wasn't your fault that Tsu made you inhale poison pollen. It's only natural for your body to react negatively. [b]DFX:[/b] (just a bit grossed-out) Just how much of that stuff DID you inhale? [i]Umeko shot him the death glare. He looked away, unaffected. Umeko sighed. She wears small purple tinted glasses on her nose, a black turtleneck shirt with baggy sleeves, short purple shorts, socks that come up to mid thigh, and heavy tan boots. Bio: She's always wanted to go on an adventure ever since she played with the boys in her village. She never really played with any of the girls and as a consequence, built up many psychological male characteristics. When she turned 16, her father told her to go and roam around the countryside to look for her own destiny. Upon returning for a short vacation, she found her village destroyed. She thought everyone was dead, but in her house on her bed, her mother had hastily scrawled the word "Hope" on a scrap of paper. Max: Well... even though (laughs a little) a water dragon would be REALLY awesome to have, the beast of water is a bit less... (laugh) impressive. Mei: Then what was it, huh?! Max: The animal chosen by Water a long time ago, was a panther! So it adapted water-like tendancies. Gills, fins, etc... Mei: So you're saying... that I have a-?!! Max: Catfish? (snort) Yeah!!
