1. forgive me for not reading all of it, but that was long... but incredibly GOOD! Karma, I swear you will never cease to amaze me.... Well you asked for a review, and I would have to say that I havn't met anyone with such a way with words. (not even my lang. arts teacher!)
2. !!!!!!!! OMG I've been wanting a banner for a while, and I made a request on the banner forum, but the guy who responded hasn't been on in weeks, so coud I ask you for one? Something..... oh I don, know... action- packed lol
3. Well there's not much to say about that exept "The End... or is it?"
4. It's excellent. Now if I could convince some one else to join... FYI, cloud people, I suppose wear a variety of things ( just like most) but usualy with a few layers, to keep out the cold.
5. As they were entering the hospital, Terran noticed something behind them. When he turned around, he saw Shonya dashing behind the nearest building. "Hey, guys..." before he finished, Julie and Angie both gave him a menacing look, " and uh, girls, that kid who shot Nick is back there followin' us." "No surprise." said Dragus. "How, 'bout you stay here and see if you can keep her from finishing the job?" "What? but..." at another look from the others, Terran stopped, and decided he should do what they say. After a while, Shonya seemed to be trying to get closer to the hospital. "C'mon," Terran said under his breath, "I dare ya."
6. jesus, you make banners like you make poetry! and that's really sayin something! I've said it on your poetry thread and I'll say it here... simply amazing!
7. Hey guys, I just thought of something cool to do with smileys... :help: I need somebody, :help: Not just anybody, :help: ya know I need someone... lol!
8. OCC: alright, lets get it on people! IC: Slowly drifting... suddenly Tal'nin woke up, and found that he was under water. He flipped around so he could see the surface... only a few yards. Using up his small reserve of air, Tal'nin swam to the surface, and breathed deep, filling his lungs. He looked around, and saw the shore only three or four miles away... easy. He needed to get back to his home, to inform them of what he had found. He asssumed he had hit a peice of debris while swimming, and blacked out. Just as he was about to start off again, he saw a ship coming in from his right. Closer inspection of the symbols on the sides revealed it to be a Dae'Thon ship... perfect he thought. He swam up to the ship and called up. After a moment, a Dae'Thon poked his head over the rail. "What do you want?" "Could you give me a ride to shore?" Then man seemed to think about it for a moment and then motioned for him to come up. Using the edges of the wood like handles, Tal'nin climbed to the deck and flicked his inner eye-lid to get the salt from his eyes. "Thanks, I didn't think you'd let me aboard." "Ya, ya... well it will be a while until we dock, so I hope you like the ocean." Of all the stupid things to ask a half-Hydran thought Tal'nin. After wandering the deck, Tal'nin went below deck to see if there was anything going on. There were several Dae'Thon talking among themselves, he decided to leave them alone. In the corner, there was a depressed looking girl, he went to sit next to her. OCC: alright guys... your turn! ;)
9. EXCELLENT!! now I can get this thing started.. if anyone else wants to join, go ahead.
10. that was... *sniff*... so beautiful! Ok, I'm not THAT sensitive... that was a good one karma... and what did I tell ya? the best are the depressing ones! lol... wait a sec... yup, all the poems on this page are depressing... go figure! :wigout:
11. Since when should some one be surprised because a 12 year old is a Bealtes fan? I'm only 13 and I liked them since I was 9! Anyway... unfortunatly, I only have two Beatles CD's... but they're good ones, Yellow Submarine and Beatles 1... ya, I said that in my last post didn't I? Who here has memorized 1 or more Beatles songs? Daisuke and Radaghast, I don't even have to ask I'm sure ^^ Personaly I memorized Hey Bulldog (my favorite ^^) Elanor Rigby, most of Day Tripper, and big bits of the rest I've heard.
12. OCC: this is gonna be good IC: Terran had seen too much already. After four years in a wasteland, he comes back to find criminals hugging each other on the street. He takes a few steps forward and talks to a man with a cross hung across his back. "Are these guys OK?" The man looked around at him with a surprised expression. "Where did..." "Over there." Terran replied humorously. "I see... they're... just fine, I think." "Right... I'm gettin outta here before I go nuts too." OCC: take it away
13. very good, both of you, so all we really need now is a Dae'Thon, and we can start this thing.
14. you most certainly could! Just be sure to make all her stats. etc. fit into the story! But I'm sure you already knew that....
15. In another reality, there are two sets of humanity... the ground people, and the cloud people. However, there has been no contact between the two sections for thousands of years. While the ground people have advanced through technology, the people of the clouds have remained old-fashioned and humble. The people of the clouds are identicle to the people of the ground, but their limited resavoir of rescources has prohibited them from advancing... not that they have a problem with it. The cloud people (wich are what this story is about) sail across the skys in sometimes massive airships.. identicle to water ships, but through magical construction, able to sail the high wind currents. They make their homes on the highest reaching plateus (imagine Dun' Loireag from .hack) and trade with the airships. In the far west, there are even air-pirates. Thunder-clouds are the worst enemy to any cloud dweller. Cities, however, are not limited to mountains and plateus... using the same technique used on the airships, they can make flaoting cities. That's all the technical stuff. Just so you know, this was all inspired by the musical peice "Cloud Nine" hence the name. Keep any magic your char. may have to a minimum.. they may have magic, but nothing like fireballs or beams of energy and the like. Remeber, there has been no contact between the ground and the cloud people for thousands of years, so to each other, they are just myths. Though this is a story about the cloud people, if you absolutly must, you can make a ground person who somehow got to the cloud cities. Now, I'm gonna post my character to give you an idea of what this should be like... (Name, Age, Gender, Home City [give a description of your hometown], appearance, Personality, magic (if any, you may want to PM me to make sure it's not too extreme), BIO, weapons/skills) Name: Niko (cloud people are diverse enough to not need last name) Age: 15 Gender: male Home City: Tor' Norath... A remote floating city, generaly out of the way of the trading circle. Built to be rough, the city is a network of wooden beams and platforms.. only a Tor' Norath born person could walk along the city and not become overcome with vertigo. Despite its hostile looking layout, the occupants are very friendly. Appearance: 6'1'' and a small build. Brown, nearly black hair, green eyes (ya.. I like green eyes). Wears several layers of clothes to keep away the high altitude cold. Personality: Perky and nice to be around, his sense of adventure and curiousity have gotten him into trouble numerous times. Magic: he's still learning to use magic. BIO: Born and raised in Tor' Norath, he can walk around the city as if he was on solid ground. He once knew a girl name Tellin, their two families had always wanted them to have a strong bond, and fortunatly their childish crush grew into something more.. unfortunatly she left on a trade ship to learn the business, and visits from trade ships in Tor' Norath are few and far between. Weapons/skill: He carries a long Falchion strapped to his back, and being raised in Tor' Norath has given him exelent balance. Get the idea? GOOD! I could use someone to be Tellin (the girl Niko used to know) a cloud pirate, and a few others... only be a ground person if simply can't resist.. I'd rather not have one. Now get postin'! lol I hope some day you'll have the chance to listen to Cloud Nine (the song... duh) because it truly is an epic paice of music in my opinion!
16. oh how true... unfortunatly, the only Beatles movie I've been able to see is Yellow Submarine, and if you've seen it, you know how crazy it is! half-way through I'm like O_O; Anyway, I didn't know they HAD a Beatle Fest lol. (have you really listened to every single one??) I just recently burned a CD with the best of their songs from two CDs... Yellow Sub. and Beatles 1. That's what I was listening to earlier ^^
17. hope I don't screw this up... Name: Terran (lol, no nick-name) Age: 128 (was 28... my bad) Appearance: 5'9'' desert brown hair, green eyes. wears a deep green shirt, and worn, brown pants. (short... but it works!) weapons: heavy machine gun that doubles as a close quarters "club"... hehe BIO: lost in the desert for nearly 4 years, he has no idea what's been going on in the world. All of his 3 siblings were killed, though he doesn't know it. He has always been pretty moral, but has worked up a now "expired" reputation as a fighter. good/bad: good (yay)
18. Since I havn't seen a beatles thread, and I'm listening to a Beatles track right now, I'm making this thread. How many of you anime nuts listen to the beatles? If you do, then what do you like about them? Personaly I like their diversity of songs, not to mention those catchy tunes... I've memorized several of their songs, and I'm workin on the rest :D
19. wow.. you seem to write better when you're depressed ^^! no, really! all the best ones so far have beem the depressing ones! lol, you could call me nuts.
20. This is my first fan fiction, so if it doesn't live up to the usual you see around here, then TOUGH! It's not based on any particular ninja show, but there's enough of them where it probably doesn't matter. Part One Yes... I know you're back Jykon Osenin. I remeber that night too. A foolish young ninja, thought he could challenge me. Something troubles me... who is this Jiko you call yourself? Slowly, a dark figure crept out of the concealing shadows. The guard to the next room didn't notice the figure until he was dead on the floor. Silently, the figure ducked into the next room. Jiko closed the door and put down his knife. Taerin is getting loose with security. Jiko began to sift through the varrious junk piles on the floor, looking for something. After several minutes of searching, he found what he came for. From the heap, he pulled out two small katanas... his old weapons. You won't know what hit you this time, Taerin. "Aaahhh... Jykon." Jiko whipped around to see a tall figure standing in the doorway. "I knew you'd come here first." "Taerin..." Jiko said thhe name through clenched teeth. "Yes, I'm still here Jykon, just wasting away." "My name is no longer Jykon, Taerin." "Oh... that's right... Jiko. I should have known you would change your name to escape my eye." Jiko looked tense now, "I didn't change my name to hide from you Taerin." "Oh yes, a matter of honor is it?" Part Two comes when I get a reply ^^! I hope you like it!
21. man... I can think of so many jokes I could make on that last one, but I don't wanna be rude :babble: lol, it seemed to be something you made out of being spontanious. Can't think of much else to say.....
22. alright... you got me there.... I guess I can't argue with that logic :flush:
23. true... very true... but I'm talkin like, days and weeks here. seriously. one solution, though I doubt it will ever happen, is to make a "reminder board" forpeople who simply forgot they posted on something, and if they see it on the board then they know... though you guys can probably name plenty of flaws with that idea.
24. I think this is a big issue, so I'm gonna bring it up with you mods. It's incredibly annoying when you post something in a board such as Banner/avitar and Adeventure Arena and when someone responds, they are incredibly slow with it. I'm not talking about slow typers here, I'm talking about the people on the banner request forum who say they are working on something, and then never respond again! (yes stormy_weather... I'm talking to YOU) and also on an adventure thread, after everyone is recruited, and then everyone is waiting on one person, and despite how much everyone tries to get them to post, they never do, making everyone else not only mad, but sometimes unable to continue the thread. This may seem childish to the mods, but I think everyone agrees when I say that you need to take SOME kind of measure to help this, or even prevent it. How, I don't know, but there must be SOME way of solving thos problem!
25. lol... mafia shootout! c'mon... you can't help but think that's a little comical! even though it's a bit gruesome... but that's what makes it good! again, exellent, and smooth.
