Isn't Meteor just as strong as Ultima? If it isn't, then you can have that.

Yes! I'm making an exception in your case, so you can have 2 materia at the start, and have Ultima on you so you can equip it as soon as you get strong enough.

You may aswell have another materia, because you will collect more as we go through the game. You may aswell take another materia now, save you looking for it and finding it and stuff. Remember that all the materia we find in the RPg, we will share out, so you may find a materia you want, but because you've got more than someone else, they will have it.

You realise that you will get more materia than just the 2 you start off with, so you may aswell get another one, as it will upgrade and stuff.

So why don't you have something else until your strong enough to use Ultima?
