1.
Lol. Yeah I had this feeling that people thought I was a boy. I wonder if that makes you think differently about my arguments?
If anything it makes a peace treaty seem to be more urgent. For some reason one never thinks about girls in a war zone only the mothers. Soldiers are pictured as male though I know there are girls in combat. I've thougth about the children, the
  2.
I have been depressed. I have walked around the house with a loaded gun in my hand wondering why I'm a failure at everything I touch. Wondering why I survived Vietnam when 183 friends and sqdrn members didn''t. Add to that severe ADD/HD, PTSD and and life can be hell when things run away and I need to focus. Rin is in the bedroom right now and is crying over the muslim/jews thread. That makes both of us depressed, war. The Iraq war makes me depressed as I have friends deployed there and I also have friends whoese children are there. And I have 35 friends whose children are not coming back. I take medication and will have to take it for the rest of my life to control my depression, if I don't kill myself first. I have nightmares that would turn your blood cold as ice and I wake up depressed then have to put on an Outdoor Adventure smile and take tourists to the desert and entertain them when I'd rather stay home and watch anime. I've actually spent the day watching my fav anime series start to finish just to help control my depression, they make me feel good. It gets so bad I take my truck into he middkle of the desert and do nothing but run around screaming. I get depressed over beautiful things. Last week in Ragged Point, Ca a place famous for monarch butterflies we just sat there looking at them and Rin started to cry. She had gotten depressed over the fact that we were watching these beautiful creatures flittering above us and had a thought about butterflies at home. She said to me that she couldn't remember the last time she saw butterflies in the desert when we used to get millions during migration. She turned to me, holding me very tightly, crying asking me, "Am I watching the extinction of a species in my backyard". The 2 of us, just sat there and I started to cry with her because as naturalist I knew that the answer to her question was yes. I spent the rest of the day depressed with her. I got depressed thinking about it right now. Rin is not subject to depression the way we are and if she gets that way it's enough to trigger it in me, like at Ragged Point. So both of us see a therapist, the same one. Sometimes we go together, sometimes alone like I did yesterday when I told Nancy about what I just said of the butterflies and I started to cry again over the loss of such an beautiful and ephemrial creature. Not just one, but an entires species. One day I shall pass from this plane and Rin shall have to live the rest of her life alone for I don't think she would remarry. I pray that she doesn't spend it in depression. And should Rin pass, that is the day I will drive into the desert and not return for life would be unbearable without her and that kind of depression I don''t think I can handle. That is why I cater to Rins faeries. I have become to believe in them. Our house is supposed to be a place of faeries and happiness. I know that I can go to bed at night and look at the faeries that inhabit our house on every bookshelf and surface and believe it or not that helps relieve the depression. This really helps on nights she comes home very late. She has tied a white ribbon to my wrist evey night for as long as I can remember. She has out them in my uniform and flite suit pockets everday for years. She says that it is her with me. And that helps too. If you are depressed you need help. My therapist asked me years ago what courage was. I had to think about it. It was not doing HART rescue or flying into combet. That's easy. My answer was, "Courage is what it takes to realize you need help and then to seek that help". I had been in therapy for 3 years at that time, I still am 7 years later. I needed that help and it took a great deal of courage for a macho fighter pilot to seek that help. The end result? You have to put up with me. Be careful. If you are depressed get help. Watch what medications you take and above all... If you are depressed, come make a post here, wait for an answer, look for it. It may not be the one you want but it helps you to focus. if you want send an email to nenene@earthlink.net. she's was a flower child of the 60s who grew up to be an earthmother. she is very cool. she may not answer, but she will read it. I feel better now, see. It works. And now it's my turn as I get a hug and kiss from Rin as she has come up behind me wearing a renenassence(sp) nightgown I bought her. See it does help. I got better things to do than this. ciao
  3. I have been following this thread but not really commenting. From all of you without exception I feel hate, anger, distrust, suspicion. I read comments about destroy all jews, destroy all muslims. I read about the bombers, no more than children really who are suspectible to the machinationsof whatever political group can get their ear. You quote: history, all of the holy books, political dogma. There has been no agreement by anyone here. No consensus of facts just argument over who is better and who is not. Who is right and who is wrong. Basically, all of you, again without exception, have been repeating the same rhetoric that I hear on the news, read on the internet and listen to people talking about ovfer and over again. It has become a pissing and Chabichou has had no real answer other than what your governments keep saying. The bad guys are killing the good guys. Who are the bad guys? Who are the good guys? There are none on either side only victims, jewish and muslim. Chabichou, why do you hate jews? Has any one of them done something to you to make this happen? Is it really the people you hate brought on by politics. The jews here same question. Why the hate? There's no reason for it. I am a pacifist by nature, Ranger is by choice, yet there are times when I think his is the right answer. Wipe both countries, Isreal and Palestine off the face of the earth. Destroy it all, go ahead because all that has come from this thread which started innocently enough is the hate, fear and distrust I see on the news. Fight your war, kill each other, destroy both sides. Nobody is going to care about any of you and the world will breathe a sigh of relief when all of you are gone.
Ahhh, what just happened here and why did Rin just run into the bedroom crying? I'm not going to go back and read this thread, I'm just upset because Rin is. May I make a suggestion after reading her post? Shut this thread down. All it is doing is makling hard feelings.
4. Rejection does not have to come at the hands of a boy or girl friend. It can come from your parents. My parents rejected me 21 years ago when I got married. I was told leave and never come back by my father and except from an occasional letter from my younger sister Gwen no one wants to talk to me, not even my mother as far as I know since I havn't heard from her in all that time. My letters home go unanswered. Gwen has said our older brother Harry doesn't want to hear my name and my name is not allowed to be said in the house and my portraits removed. The last thing I saw from my father was a copy of his will sent to me by Gwen 15 years ago with my name crossed off, he told her to send it. Hatefull. Incredible rejection, all because I dared to marry an American military officer instead of into the noble house that my father wanted. I lost everything for the love of one man. It has been 21 years and I now have beautiful children that have never seen their grandparents and only one sister of three siblings who still writes and signs with love. This has made me very unhappy as I sit here and I am crying thinking of a lost family. That is rejection. OOhhhhh!! MMmmmmmm, A hug and kiss from my husband and wandering hands to boot. *giggles* Please don't ever reject your child, that is as bad as a parent having to bury one and no parent should ever have to do that. I'm still very sad.
Uhhh it's been about 10 minutes since Rin wrote that last line. I am making her feel better. Please excuse us for a few more minutes.
5. Panda likes bald guys. Ranger's bald and has a Capt Picard style to his hair, what there is left. He also has great abs and legs and a__ and more. But what do you think a guy who climbs rock three times a week is going to have. He also carrys a little at his waste and considering how active he is I'm surprised.'' quote="Chibihorsewoman"] I'm going to look really really extremely dumb if this doesn't work, but this is what I consider beautiful.
It worked. She's adorable and I agree with you except my my grand-daughter is prettier, LOL, seven months now. Chibi please raise her with all of the love I know you can and try not to make the same mistakes the rest of us have. I can tell you what Ranger thinks is most beautiful. Wendy and me. We do make a fantastic threesome every now and then. Nudge! Nudge! Wink! Wink!
  6. My dream job. A new career? I would like to own a Doll and Bear store.
I have my fav job. I am Desert Ranger the best guide in the Mojave desert according to the Desert Convention and Visitor Authority.
7. Remember I'm C of E. Historically and in the Old Testament a christain reference book this land has belong to the jews for over 2500 years. Long before the Romans and Palestinians. Long before Christainity or the Mulsims appeared. However that doesn't matter.
Build a Disney Land.
Outstanding idea, Ranger even suggested tourism.
... murderers of children.
Both sides kill innocents. Even if they try to avoid it. It's called collateral damage by the military on both sides. It's totally uncalled for by either.
your property is just a piece of dirt too. If I come and try to demolish your house, would you fight to defend it? This war is over more than territory.
In reality we would defend this place, but not over idealisms foisted on us by the clerics on both sides. Yet there is an analogy; the Lemmons down the road. We fiight. Laura usually starts it with a comment that could be considered a terrorists bomb. Sometimes I retaliate with something witty and clever (snipers shot or assasin) or a broad comment on her alcoholism, bad habits, house, and her flirting with Ranger (Air Attack). Laura has even commented on my children (killing innocents). She doesn't care about anything.(leaders on both sides) The same as in Isreal. Neither side cares about killing the other. An offer of peace made to Laura is ignored. (the leaders again).Talk to the people. I would think that a survey of 10,000 on both sides would show the general populace want's peace. They just don't know how to do it. When the Lemmons had a problem, like during the storms a week ago, we respond to help like the commnuiity and good neighbors should even though we don't like them (a PAX). It is the leaders who want war. Both secular and non-secular want to kill each other. Both secular and non-secular want war. Like Rangers says both nations buy into the political and religious dogmatisim thrown at them so they hate each other. If they wanted peace it would have been accomplished already. There was a story on CNN about a Jewish girl and a Palestinian boy, an admitted terrorist leader. In their love he changed his mind and started to look for peace. The girl was thrown in jail and charged with treason for loving this boy. Thrown in jail for love? Thrown in jail for a bid of peace? Isn't that a bit much? The boy went back to war. As of this posting Chabichou has not returned to comment. Chabichou if you have been following, where is your response to that awful hateful jew who extended his hand in friendship. Where is a hug and greeting for the wife of that awful jew who only wants to stuff salmon into you and watch Inuyasha and Card Captors or Stellvia or Jubei Chan. My drawing was not meant for this type of post and I am a little upset that is used for such. On the other hand, it is appropriate, and my brown sugar salmon is something to die for, however; not over a political agenda. Like Ranger I would like a Muslim friend so here it is again. Do you like salmon? 8. I draw on my notepad during conferences and meetings. I don't chew my nails but I do chew on a wisp of my hair sometimes especially in braids which I wear at work or on the ends of the ribbon if I am wearing any. I sing to myself in the hallways at work, nice acoustics.
  9.
And question for you Lady Rin...what is the age difference between you and... 'Ranger'?
From the view point of etiquette and manners you never ask a woman her age or ask her to make a reference to it. You can offend many women this way. On the other hand they are women and am a girl. If I was a woman I wouldn't be here. Ranger is 58, I am 41 the difference is 17 years. He still calls me a "cute and adorable young woman" and "my little girl". If you would like to know more about us Lady Rin may not always be a lady but she is always a girl.
  10. You can start with the thread on getting chicks. Most of the idiotic things that have been said in relationships were said there. Laura L. told me that I was really to young to have a long term relationship with Ranger. She also once asked Ranger didn't he think I was a little too young for him. I heard that and I told her that we had been going together since I was 14. You should have seen the look on her face. That wasn't too smart on my part as Laura started this whole thing about me and in a small town that can be a problem. Good thing Laura and Todd have only been here 2 years, nobody believed her.
  11.
Women must be tricked into a relationship.
I just re-read this thread. In general see a lot of comments like Harrys. I realize that I'm not the best person to talk about relationships since I have had only one but that relationship has gone on for 21 years. First as most of you know I grew up in an all girls school and all of the "dates" I ever had were arranged and chaperoned. I never did any dating and although several young men did try to pick me up I never responded to their advances. Ranger (sitting here with me over coffee) says the worst thing a boy of today can hear from a girl is "No!." That know No , said often enough is sometimes injurious to a boys phsych. and often leads to a feeling of rejection and inferiority. Ranger says that problems with picking up girls is nothing new and he had the same problem even when he was in the AF. He has never picked up a girl in his life, not even me. We just met wandering around the estate house we were at for an affair neither of us wanted to be at. Both of us had left the ball and were wandering around until we could graciously leave. He had no "line" and I was just looking at a bronze statue of young girl jumping rope. The first thing he ever said to me was how on much he liked the bronze and that started us takling about it. From there we just wandered around looking at the art work and eventually walked in to the garden. We just talked, about my school, where he lived (the desert), Vietnam, his job with F-111 Aardvarks, why we didn't want to be there. Eventually he said he had to return to the base and he asked me if I needed a ride home. I didn't really yet I said that would be very nice if he didn't mind so we left. His car was a White Aston Martin DB6 and as we drove home I asked him why this car? His response was so honest I didn't know what to say. He said that he liked hot cars and it was a "chick magnet" I asked him if that worked and he said, 'No, but it handles great". Then he took me on a ride around to show off his car eventually arriving at my flat. When we arrived he walked me up to the door thanked me for a very lovely evening and turned to go. No hint of trying to kiss me or even touch me other than to shake hands. Then I asked him in for a cup of tea. I still don't know why I did it, asking a man into my flat and we were not even on a date, it was just a ride home Not only that "It just wasn't done". When he started to leave asked for my phone number and could he see me again just leaned over and gently kissed me. His kiss was aimed for my cheek but I intercepted it for my first real kiss. I put my arms around him not to hug or hold him, I didn't want him to leave. Our (my) first kiss was clumsy like a teens first kiss only he was 36 with experience and I was 19 with none.He said he had to return to the base when I asked him to spend the night, something I never thought I would say and when he said yes my heart jumped. I asked him impulsively and was very emabaressed to ask him yet I did. He was my first everything and we are still together. I never though I would do somethi glike that to a man especially since we had just met and when he said yes my heart jumped. He was my first everything and we are still together. Even today I don't know why I asked him to stay other than to say, "Love at fist sight"? We met on Feb 27 and were married on Apr 27 1983 exactly three months from the day we met.
Women must be tricked into a relationship.
Where was the trickery. The pick up line, the bid to bed this young lady, girl, women. I know; it was the car. I never like that car and he sold it because I asked him to get something else, so he bought a 12 year old Rolls Royce. We met by accident and just started to tallk that's all. No pickup, no line, just a comment on how beautiful he thought the bronze was. So you see, even at 36 men have problems "picking up women". How is it done? How do you pick up women. There have been a lot of men who have tried to pick me up. Even today it happens Makes me feel wonderful to know that men do that, but ranger doesn't like it at all., usually at the Alamo, and the most successful would be the those who aren't artificial. Note I did not say "be yourself" I said, "Do not be artifiical". There is another way to meet girls as well you know; have someone introduce you, either to a girl you would like to invite out or to a stranger just don't force anything, join a social group that's a good place to meet as well and don't force it, just let it happen. Now I have a question, this whole thing has been about boys picking up girls and getting laid. What about the other way around? Girls hitting on guys? We have a ranger here named Tim and he is a veritable chick magnet, for some reason the girls chase him. Why? Victoria and I have to start cooking, I check back later today. Happy Thanksgivinh.

  13. Poor Lunai, she now knows the feeling of sending a loved one to war. I have done the same thing many times and even though I knew he was safe I was always afraid for him. We here, the members, of otaku boards are Lunais' "village". All of my love to Ssgt Goose. May the Spirit of the Desert walk in his shoes. Did you put one on his wrist? All of my love to Lunai who is my friened. Personal to Lunai. We made it safely to Morrow Bay.
  14. You can always ask her if you can hug her. You might ask her for a hug. It's something to trade, it feels good to both of you and it usually can't be taken as an advance like that first kiss.
  15.
It is possible that you got one from a drive by DL. Trojans and other malware can cmoe in and be excuted via active X controls. 16. So next to the parents and immediate family who are the most important people in a childs life. I wuold put teachers after they start school.
  17.
Just a question, how can you have a non-secular blessing when a blessing is a secular event ?
I think you should look at a dictionary. :) Non-secular is world of religion.
a) I would make the point that they knew what they were getting into when they joined up. b) 100,000 Iraqis have been killed since the start of the Iraq War, I could equally ask what are you doing for them and their families ?
a) These young men and women are the same as British and Irish soldiers or the warriors of any country in the world. They are following the orders of their commander. In this case it is a megolamaniac who over here is known as Mad King George IV and his flunky the Jester Tony Blaire, even among many of the soldiers. b) 1: I am an English citizen and living with my husband, an American, in his country. I'm not doing anything for the Iraqies as they don't want us there. If we try to help, they kill us. If we leave them alone, they still kill us. Why should I help? b) 2: It seems to me that there are more Iraqies killing Iraqies than anybody else doing so. They walk up or drive in loaded with explosives and detonate themselves by children, women and the elderly. They don't need any help. They're killing themselves very efficiently without the help of other nations. b) 3: My husband is a retired US Air Force officer. I do not support this war. I do support our troops. It's not support the politicians who created this war. It is those who die at the whims of the politicians who have my heart.
  18. I am amazed that any of these "young men" can actually get a date with the atitudes I have read here. Girls: if you want to be picked up by crude young men go ahead, on the other hand there are a lot of nice young men out there as well. Boy: There are more good girls than nice girls out there.
  19. I think you should table this discussion until you realize that as Americans you live in a republic, not a democrcy. Socialism works, comunism does not and there is no such thing as a democracy.

  22. both:We are sitting here reading this one. it's interesting from both of our point of views what you want or do. So we have a few questions and comments. Lady Rin: I'm not sure what really works from what I see here. From your posts I see what you would like. However I don't expect some to interpret that correctly like...
...get in touch with my emotions, us girls are all so vunerable
do I detect a little sarcasm? I think if he gets too near you he's going to get his fingers singed. Boys, where did you learn to "pick up women"? Has anyone ever told you what a girl wants? what a great name for a movie I for one would not like to be approached the way I see it being done today. However my son Ky seems to have no end of girls who are friends or even approaching them even though he's been going with Heather since Jr. High My opinion, boys, get rid of the fragrances you wear, they are too strong and sweet. wear clean clothes as it doesn't seem to matter if they are torn or not. Brush your teeth and avoid bad breath. Girls, it wouldn't hurt to be a little more femminine. My daughter found that doing so made for a change in the way boys treated her, you don't have to go overboard. On the other hand you could be me, (your reaction is going to be yecch) I wear a dress or skirt and blouse around 90% of the time, and that does have an effect on how you are treated, good and bad. Ranger says "Everything in the desert sticks, stinks, bites or stings." An outdoor smell is alright, I like the way Ranger smells after he's returned from the desert but don't stink. Ranger: Start with. Hi Panda. *waves* I'm a member here now. Rin talked to me about my posts.
e Turn and walk to my car.
Do that and you'll fall down. Uniforms do it. Where we hang for brews as a lot of marines, rangers and guides there after work. Many still in uniform, if not? they have the look of someone who does, eventhe guides. the tourist girls like to hit on the marines (that's very clean cut) and the rangers (most of the rangers are married) and my guides are always getting hit on male or female. It's the uniform. Becca for example, a definite hottie. Sterotype in uniform with her blonde braids, blue eyes and a beautiful tan. Who's not going to hit on her. Even Heidi who is as dour as they come get's hit on, mostly by marines tho'. even the guidlettes (trainees) get hit on and their uniform is a t-shirt. I get hit on and I'm 58. my appearence? company uniform, safari shirt, shorts and hat, all tan. Military style haircut more or less. Usually a little long and raggy or cut like Capt Picard and I carry a knife. that's it. for whatever reason I get hit on with some of them throwing theselves into my arms? No that's not right, but I do get a lot of hugs and kisses. Girls, don't do that. It really upsets Rin, especially if she sees it. i mean you're cute and everything but I'm married and spoken for. Amazing how many golf widows hit on me. Shiitake. Rin is a lot younger than I am and she get's hit on, all the time, mostly tourists and marines. she actually doesn't like the attention, so guys, if a girl wants you to leave her alone. Leave her alone. Both of us have been approached by a couple of the local city-zens which if they're not careful cold result in a few broken fingers. the point here is "keep you hands to yourself unless invited". girls are not merchandise. And for gawd sakes stop calling them "ho's and bit____s" I don't know why I hear that so often. That too seems to come mostly from the city-zen kids. Girls: Not all guys are Alphas Hotels when they come on strong, just insecure. always remember The Lady Rin may not always be a lady, but she is always a girl.]
  23.
...since I got rid of my bangs
I wish I could. Long straight to below my wast, not even a hint of curl or wave. Look at my avatar, that's it with red highlights. I have never been able to get rid of my bangs. If I cut them off it looks terrible. Long hair in the desert is also too hot to have, it leaves your back and neck wet all the time. So in summer I almost always have braids, a high up pony tail or twintails to keep it off of the back if my. Forget cutting it short, it looks terrible anywhere above the middle of my back. I think I'm going to get a haircut today. Thank you for the suggestion.
  24. What if there were no guns or explosives. If they had never been created and the only weapons available were swords, knives, and bows with arrows. Do you think that would bring the incidence of death, injury or violent crime down? How do you think that would effect society. Perhaps instead of shootouts there would be sword and knife fighting. Muggins and robberies at knife point or with a handgun size crossbow? Would that make a difference? Would the incidence of violent crime be the same, more, less?
  25. If I exclude child birth it would be the time I received a bite from a black widow on my hand. A small bubble or blister rose on my finger where I was bitten and the pain was excruciating. It ran from my fingers to my shoulder as of I were on fire. This happened with a minute or two of being bitten. Rangers first aid was to remove the blister with his finge rnails and amazingly the pain stopped immediately.
