1. Ken: Good or bad company? Craig: Right. You expect me to know that from his scent? Ken: It would help, wouldnt it? Craig shook his head, as Ken casually shrugged. Cutting his shrug short, he decided to take Craig seriously, and glanced around. Nothing seemed that unusual really.. But he knew that something had to be up. Ken: Well can you at least tell us where it's general direction is?
2. Ken silently sat, leaning against the nearest tree. He was watching the Dragouret with a sense of amusement. The creature that had done this was indeed still around, but wary of the scent it was picking up from himself and the Dragouret. They *were* paranormal creatures themselves. He had hoped the old rancher he had met earlier that day had indeed emailed the information to Paranormal Inc- They needed another good lead. Sightings of strange things had been propping up everywhere- But hoaxes mixed with reality distorted everything. When they had gotten a real case, it had held true that the elusive creatures wanted to remain elusive. This was a difficult side-hobby, but Ken had fun with it. Ken appeared infront of the Dragouret suddenly, standing up and staring her in the eye. She was taken aback, startled he guessed. He rose one finger to his lips, and whispered. Ken: You're wasting your time. You let off a strange scent... You arent human, or cattle for that matter. This one is a smart Chubicabra. But knowing your kind, you'll hunt it down or something. Just a little friendly advice. Disappearing again, he reappeared a few feet away. He calmly walked away, The Excaliber on his back letting off a glint in the moonlight..
3. Kenneth: This is a problem... Not only are your people here... But the evil we were summoned to fight is here... Is Lingh in league with the Orcs and Formons?.... I'm not going to kill any of your Tribe... But Isthanae needs helps with the Orcs.... Infront of Isthanae, the flow of Orcs into the city was steadily getting larger. Reports of a Tribe from the forest to the north had reached him as well- The combonation of both attackers was making repelling their foes almost impossible. The Titan Scythe landed with a harsh noise infront of Isthanae, Kenneth flying down from above in his WingHorde half demon form. He skidded down on one leg, grabbing his Scythe, and cut an Orc clear in two. Shrill shrieks were heard across the city, and like ninjas, most of the ShadowKiller veterns were around Kenneth. Kenneth: I bet you are somewhat satisfied in the fact that you didnt drive all of my clansmen away... the Titan Scythe sang through the air, as Kenneth threw it deep into the horde, jumping upwards. He sailed through the air to his Scythe, and started his attack..
4. Kenneth: Mmm. The ShadowKillers might get involved at this rate. They have a hungry for battle in their blood, sort of like your peoples. I should tell them to evacuate. Around the city, various shadows dissapeared from veiw, some floating into the air, others racing across the ground. Kenneth was beginning to feel the battle calling him as well, his demon blood pumping through his veins...
5. Kenneth: Well its alot more refreshing than smoke. Heh. Kenneth smelled the smoke and it seemed to calm him. Shaking his head twice, he felt a burning sensation coming from the birthmark that was on his back. His eyes were glowing red, unbeknowest to him, from the exposure to fire...
6. Kenneth: Damn it. I forgot my Scythe.. He did his earlier trick, and his Scythe flew into his hand from below. He latched it onto his back, and he heard Isthanae's commanding yells all the way up to where he was. Kenneth: Who do you think will win? Ananda: I'd say my people, judging by sheer numbers and expierence in battle. Kenneth: Mmmm... Yes.... Indeed.... Isthanae may be commander, but he is the same age as I am. Various fires had broken out across the perimeter buildings of the city, soldiers running to put them out with water as fast as they could go, without getting shot by an arrow themselves...
7. Kenneth: So what are you, in particular, going to do during this battle? Ananda: They *are* my people.. but I think i'm going to just watch. Kenneth: Aye. As are my ShadowKillers. All of them are keeping watchful eyes on each of the ones sent summons to come to the Sanctum, including Isthanae.. This ought to be an interesting battle. Several yells broke out, and Kenneth's vision suddenly went from his surrondings to the fire that was being used on the arrows. All he could feel was emotion from the fire, sorrow for being used to kill, glee for the chance to kill, content for the chance to burn longer, and confusion as to why it had to be used for destruction mainly. His vision flashed back to his surrondings and he stumbled backwards breifly...
8. Kenneth: We better get going. Important work to be done you know. Kenneth opened his bag of gold and tossed a nice amount onto the bar- He had had alot of drinks. He picked up his Scythe, and stretched left, right, touched his toes, then yawned. The orcs were closer now, and were bring in in archers to attack the guards. Isthanae would have his hands full in around 7 minutes...
9. Kenneth: You like wine? You seem to be enjoying it. Ananda: I guess I just have an aquired taste for wine. Kenneth: Hmm. Intere- Mmm... The orcs are decieving the guards. The guards believe the whole of the army is in the forest.. While they are coming from the river behind the town and from the forest. Mmm. They wont be prepared on the river side. Oh well. Another Hellspawn please.
10. Kenneth shrugged and grinned. The cloak looked nice on her. Alot better than it did on him. Even if it was the cloak of a WingHorde Clan leader, he never liked it. Kenneth: Alright. Lets head back to the Sanctum. Ananda: What's your rush? Let's stop and get a drink first. Kenneth: Hmm. Not too shabby of an idea. They headed in the general direction of the Sanctum, stopping just short of the marketplace at a Pub. Kenneth opened the door for Ananda, letting her walk in first, and followed behind. They walked over to the bartender, who looked at them strangely, then saw Kenneth's pike and stepped back. Kenneth set the pike down, and the Bartender let out a long sigh of releif. Bartender: What can I get ya'll? Kenneth: I'll take... a Hellspawn. Bartender: I gotta warn ya, that drink is really hard to get down.. Kenneth: I think I can handle it. Bartender: Alright. But dont say I didnt warn ya. And for you, ma'am?
11. Kenneth: Mmmm. This might get dangerous, and fast. Lets get back to the Sanctum... Unless you want some other clothes... like something for underneath that cloak.. *grins*
12. Kenneth: I have this cloak. I think it will have to do intill you find some sort of Tailor. I dont know this town that well.. Last time I was here was 4 years ago. Kenneth took his cloak off, and offered it to her. It was a large, black cloak that had two jewels on either side of the collar. He offered it to her.. Ananda: I guess it will have to do for now. She put it on her, and closed it. It was too large for her, but it made her look like an evil sorceress. He grinned and chuckled a bit. Placing his Scythe on his shoulder, he tilted his head to the side. Kenneth: Hey.. What did you tell Isthanae earlier? It seemed important..
13. This is alot like Apoc...
14. Kenneth: I do need to send more messages more often- I think Lingh was amused... Now do me a favor, and dont tell anyone about me being a member of the Winghorde- It might jeoperdize my safety in this kingdom... And somehow, I think we are getting in over our heads with this summoning from the Oracles. If my demon senses feel right, Orcs are marching this way to raid this town.. The others have to get to the Sanctum before its too late....
15. Kenneth: But echoes do have a way of coming back, dont they? Ananda: It depends on how loud you scream.. She was flirting with him. This was going to be an interesting traveling party, for sure.. However, he had official buisiness to attend to on the part of the WingHorde- The ruling clan of Half-Demon Half Humans. Ken's clan was within the WingHorde, the ShadowKillers being one of the main clans within it. Not many people knew of the WingHorde, as most of the time they remained secretive- As the Formonians, Orcs, and Humans all hated Demons. How ever, many Demons had a thing for Human Females.... So... Breaking his thought pattern, he looked her in the eye, and stared into them, diving past everything into her soul it seemed.. Maybe quite literally. He stopped, and looked out into the clouds... Kenneth: If you contact Lingh again, tell him the Winghorde is watching him- We are interested in contacting him about some more buisiness like before. Tell him Kenneth sends this message, from the Official Clan Council of the WingHorde. Kenneth put his Scythe back onto his back, and turned to walk away.
16. Kenneth: Heh. For sure. Sorry for following you, but you are such an interesting creature. I might as well write a story about you. I'd make millions. Kenneth leaned down on his scythe, watching her closely..
17. Kenneth: Isthanae, why exactly is she a savior of the world? Isthanae: I wouldnt know. Look at you. Kenneth: Harsh words for a travel mate... I think I should follow her. Dont you? I mean.. She might not be safe in that form in this realm..
18. Kenneth: Oh farewell and adu ye fair spainish ladies... *scream breaks through the whole place* Farewell and adu... ye ladies of Spainnnn... Isthanae.. Go check on her or something. Isthanae didnt reply, so Kenneth got up and slowly walked twards the side room, where he knocked twice..
19. Ken: Man.. You're fat.. A wall of flames overtook Ken.. Coughing out smoke, Ken glared at the Dragon.. Ken: And you're having your period.. Another flaming wall overtook Ken and he tilted his head to the side. Ken: You're male? With a name like Buttercup? The third wall of flames hit Ken, whos hair by now was frazzled. Ken: Alrighty...
20. Kenneth: Too bad you missed.. Been a awhile since i've fought off poison.. So, Isthanae.. Wheres the rest of our little adventuring party at?
21. Kenneth: I ordered them to evacuate the area... Poor fools. I hate to see Shadow Killer rookies become arrogant and egotistical.. It ruins what we fight for... And i'm talking to myself... in the middle of one of the holiest places on earth.. I wonder if God is here. HELLO! GOD? ARE YOU HERE? His voice echoed slightly, but silence ensued. He wasnt paying any attention to Ananda or Isthanae. Kenneth twitched slightly, and his eyes glowed red breifly. Regaining control of himself, he silently got up, grabbed his Scythe, and disappeared into the shadows, evesdropping on the affairs of the student of Lingh.
22. Ken: Damn it's good to see you safe. Mini-Ken: oh my god I was so worried Miss Queen >.< Asuka dropped down from the coulumn and landed softly on her feet. Ken leaned down and picked up his sword. He looked at Ian who had this strange grin on his face. Ken kicked him twice to see if he was awake, but he was out cold. Ken: Well.. I guess we can finally get the hell out of here.. Mini-Flash: Not So Fast. Remember my dragon Buttercup? * ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR * A large shadow passed over the three of them, and all of them froze, staring at the shadow of the biggest dragon they had ever seen over them. Ken: Oh my god, cant I just get one moments peace for Christ sake? *ROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR* Mini-Ken: MISS QUEEN! I WILL PROTECT YOU! Ken: Like Hell you will, both of you RUN! Get Ginny down here to HELP me with this thing
23. Kenneth: Wow. Hey, You're more skilled than you look. I bet you're the pride of Lingh. He slowly stood up again, and ripped his Scythe out of the rock, small peices of debrie falling out of the large crack in the wall. He lifted it up in the air, throwing it like a boomerang. It flew straight at Ananda, making a small singing noise as it twirled. Throwing one hand out, the Scythe froze instantly in place, one inch from her face. Ananda was totally calm about it, not showing one bit of fear. Kenneth: You must be a damned graduate of Linghs. Half the people I know just piss their pants looking at my Scythe. You and I will get along just fine- Any student of Lingh's is a friend in my book. Plus, you seem to be a fine Sorceress. I dont need many more strong enemies... The Scythe slowly rotated backwards, then sped up to the speed it had been before, flying into Kenneth's hand.
24. Ken: If only I could fly. Craig: Mmm.. I bet I could catch Sil. I'm fast enough.. Ken: Lets see if Craig can catch Sil. I bet you cant. She can fly, dude.
25. Kenneth slowly got up, and raised his Scythe onto his shoulder. He hunched over, and disappeared from veiw. Within seconds, he was infront of her, his Scythe's edge at her neck, the blood of the guard still dripping off slowly, onto Ananda's clothing. Kenneth: I have many tricks as well.. Ananda moved like the wind away from the blade, Kenneth just watching her. In the blink of an eye, Ananda was behind Kenneth, where in a real fight, a KO could have been achieved by a swift kick to the back, or any other move. Kenneth: Not too shabby.. You've been taught well.. I'm glad we're on the same team.. Kenneth threw the Scythe across the room into the wall, where it stuck firmly into the rock. He lazily walked back twards the wall, where he went back to sitting down, his eyes staring at the floor..
