1. I haven't read much of Shakespeare's comedies, because we tend to learn about the tragedies because our teachers tell us it is better.... (But I doubt that that is the point made) Personally, I haven't really read one of his comedies, but I sort of did a quick preformance of "Twelfth night" when I was 11. The point is, in even in Romeo and Juliet, there are a lot of jokes in the scenes with Mercutio, and then the teacher would say "You only laughed at one of the jokes", and we thought "There were more than one..." It's difficult to understnad the jokes, apart from the really, really raunchy ones. So what Babygirl's teacher could mean is that all the jokes are missed out, but I again doubt that... However, here's the most valid idea. I know someone who had read a comedy of his, and from what they told me, it is actually a tragedy as well, just in a really funny way. For example, a "Midsummer Nights Dream" has a lot of tragedy, for although funny (To English teachers, and the very well-informed), there is a lot of tragedy, like forbidden love. The characters end up in tragic circumstances, but not as obvious as in his tragedies, and usually the tragedy is very, very great... If those aren't right, then I'll think about it later...
 2. When one of my friends (or anybody) cusses me or does something that would embarass me, I just laugh. This guy threw a piece of chicken at me from point blank range, in the face, and I just laughed...I didn't even know the guy...
 3. I'm currently working on my own DBZ FRP (Fantasy Role Play). It's fun, and it works with dice, and a gamesmaster (Like Dungeons and Dragons), you have a storyline, and so on... However, what got me into it, was how a guy did it so well, that it wasn't boring, he made it comical! It's based on luck, so individual events are made by the gamemaster, depending on luck. It also changed the story slightly, but in which videogames do you get into a base by knocking on the door? It's up to the guys playing to make the individual events, and solve stuff... My one, though, has to have the battling figured out (Physical attacks are way too powerful)......
 4.
Originally posted by sleepy The psychic's dream is normal. One of my wierdest dream is I know I'm dreaming, but I can't get out of my dream.
I've had that before. It's really, really annoying. And the psychic's dream isn't really psychic. You probably caught a glimpse of it, or something. Think of it as....a premonition, if you like. However, the most annoting thing is when you tell yourself "Ok, I'm really tired, I want to go to sleep". An hour later, and you're still awake! And when you don't want to go to sleep, you fall asleep straight away!!! Has anybody else had that experience, especially "Never a dull moment" Lady Macadioh? (I wonder why that is....)
 5.
Originally posted by sleepy Spirit dupicates (may that's why there's twin). Or you can put it this way. Human population increase, and animal population decrease. Animal reincarnated into human. Then if you eat meat (animal), you can also eat a human. A human can also reincarnated into an animal.
Maybe, but wouldn't it make more sense if new spirits were also created, and the really evil ones were destroyed, which would explain why population grows... Or there are billions and billions of souls that are waiting to be reincarnated. Just cos you die, that doesn't mean you are reincarnated straight away. You might have to wait hundreds, maybe thousands of years, just like for a bus...:crying:
 6.
Originally posted by liamc2 What about my question?
Yeah, sorry... Been busy... Anyway, it's a book about how these boys get stranded on a desert island, and how they work together, and it has a large twist... Basically, it's just a book about the human psyche... It's a cool book... Read it...
 7.
Originally posted by Cera ::looks doubtful:: Yeeeeees...they are good books....but strange ones to pick as favorites....
Another good book to read is Lotd Of The Flies. It was interesting psychological book... If we're looking for the depressing section...
 8. But, I did not say I dreamt in colour. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Usually I have a mental note telling me colours, but I usually dream in black+white. But hey, you know science teachers, they never can be trusted? I doubt that anyone here is insane. It's just a myth from a scientist.
 9.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve The heat thing.... that can be somewhat explained... supernaturally that is. Yes, the boy that points out time after time that God may not exist because there is no proof does believe in spirits. Even though I've yet to encounter one.... anyway! A Spirit is said to use tremendous amouts of energy, which is why some modern technology can find them when the human eye cannot see them. Alot of people experience a cold chill right before they come in contact with a spirit or if a spirit is walking arond or teasing a person. A spirit itself would be considered extremelt warm.... and the air just around it would be warm as well. However, if one were to walk past you, you would fell a real quick chill of air.... basically the spirit walks through the air, absorbs the heat energy, leaving the air he has just passed through heatless, so thus it would be cold. I dunno if you felt any cold chills while in there, apart from being scared if you were, but that could be the explanation for why it was so warm in that house. Another thing, why spirits are white or blueish in color. Typically that is. To become visible, they must want themselves to be visible. And it takes alot of their energy to do that. When you think of heat, what are the two hottest, or the two that have the most energy, types of heat? Why White and blue ofcourse. Thats why a spirit is typically seen in white or a blue color. This isn't scientifically prooved, just a hypothesis that is backed up by alot of evidence of spirit studying. So what I said could be true and it could be false, take it how you want, just thought I'd explain. As far as coming into contact with a spirit or anything supernatural, I can't say i have. Although I don't need to come in contact or see it to believe it. I've felt it. There is too much evidence to proove supernatural things like Aliens and Spirits do exist to not believe in it. And some of my most trusting friends, that would NEVER lie on a subject like this, have told me some things that leave me a full believer and I am.
That's a damn good and logical explanation if ever I saw one. Makes sense, which is the cool part. How about poltergeists? I saw this program where some guy was assulted by a ghost, and had this massive pain surge through his lower abdomen. Do you think ghosts can move objects, and attack people physically? I believe ghosts do exist, because I believe that there will always be "Unfinished buisness"...
 10.
Originally posted by ~Videl~ Yup the key to lucid dreaming is lots of practice. I'm really lucky in that I've been ahving lucid dreams since I was about five although I didn't realise it at the time. I used to dream I was trapped in a cage and couldn't get out and it would stay like it the whole night untill one night I imagined myself into a super hero type figure and threw the cage off me. I also used to dream that I could fly but only if I concentrated really hard and turned the dream scenery from real life to animation, so I've had lots of practice from an early age. Now I can pretty much chosse what I want to dream about and controll most of my dreams except for if I'm really tired and don't have time to get into the right state of mind before I go to sleep. I think the best practice you can have is lots of daydreaming, I had and still have a hyperactive imagination which is a big help but daydreaming is the closesty ou can get to dreaming while still being in controll.
I can control my lucid dreams really well. I tell my mind what to think of, and up pops an image of it. I like having a hyperactive imagination, cos it lets explore parts of your mind, and make up wierd stuff, like putting up this thread!! Interesting fact no.3: Did you know that if you dream in colour, you are mad (Apparently. That's what my Science teacher said anyway)
 11. Seen any wierd stuff? I've seen a ghost on my sister's bed, crying. I've also seen a bright light stop in mid-air for two minutes, hover, and then carry on? Strange:freak:
 12. Terry Prachett is funny. I'm reading Lord of the Rings at the mo. I recommend it. I personally like sci-fi, like space odessy series, but I don't know if you would like it? What kind of books do you like? Has anyone seen Catch 22? It's funny.
 13. I'm actually really surprised at the turnout here. I thought that there were only going to be three or four replies, if that. But 40! (ish). Well, was I surprised (Pleasently) Thanks to everyone who looked at this thread, and especially to those who replied. I've had loads of different types of dreams, although I've never woken from one in the middle of the night (Unless I become thirsty...but that's a different story altogether). Just one point before I get on:babble: There are loads of you who have probably had dreams of falling from a high building, or cliff, etc. Ever wondered why you wake up just before you land? (Especially Backspace). It's because you see it as an outside body experience (I believe. I don't have those dreams). Well, if you saw yourself land on the ground after falling, you would die from a heart attack due to the shock of seeing yourself hit the floor. Think of it as your brain having a saftey lock on those dreams. Interesting fact #2: Did you know you dream for less then a second? (Half a second, actually) It just takes a hell of a long time for your brain to process your thoughts. Sometimes I end up playing parts backwards so I can understand it. More intersting facts later... One of my wierdest dreams was when I was young, and I dreamt about school. I dreamt of what was gonna happen, and so forth. The next day, I came to school, and it seemed like all the events I dreamt happened that day, even some of the conversations. Deja vu, huh? I had a dream where I was the leader of some kind of military force in a jungle. I remember being really scared during it, as I was constantly on the run from something, but I had no idea what. I saw some enemy jeeps, and so on, and they were all easy pickings. Then some huge robot, that looked like a sentinal from the X-Men came and started chasing me. We got to a forest village, and started fighting it, but it was no use. Then my mum woke me up just I was about to be caught. I was so scared. Then there are dreams, where I save someone who is close (This girl I really fancy), and sometimes I'm worried about her (Last time in a dream we fell into an icy lake, and I had to save her), or sometimes I just die, and wonder how she'd react. My dreams are sometimes like that. Evaluating how I feel for my friends, family, etc. Some of the replies are really intersting and wierd, and the best thing is, I can relate to most of the posts, so cool:cool:
 14. What's your wierdest dream that you've had? I've once dreamt that I was a rich kid, and I lived ina mansion or something, and something terrible happened. I can't remember what... And I keep imaging I save some of my close friends from danger. And those are some of the more sensible ones... And what do you dream of becoming? What are your aspirations? I've haven't decided yet. Maybe a doctor or researcher or something... Dark, I just fixed up your bold text and edited the "wierd dreams" to "weird dreams" while I was at it...just in case you wondered why it says "last edited by babygirl" at the bottom of your post (if it ends up doing that)...:) ~bg

 16.
Originally posted by sweetreyes Yeah you gotta point but when you say loud do you maean that they are also stuck up...or do they just talk outta their *bleep*...b/c there is difference.
Yeah I guess both. Some of them are just idiots, and others think they are the apitamy of cool, and so can afford to look down on people. I HATE people like that. They are usually really stupid, and couldn't add 2 and 2 even if you gave them the answer. I can't imagine looking up to, or talking to anybody like that, cos they just piss me off real badly. Then there are the loud morons. They usually think they got pretty much everything figured out. But, oh no, they go off and show off, but make a complete idiot of themselves. They usually get ignored, though...
 17. I would love to believe in reincarnation. Life, after life, after life. All of the experiences you could possibly have, everything you could do, it's like being eternally recycled (that doesn't sound that good but I can't think of anything else). But I don't believe in religion, for I'm an atheist, for I may be acting blind by not believing, but science provides a lot of sense and evidence for what happens in the world, and the universe. It's more difficult to believe now than it used to be
 18. I love travelling!! You meet new people, talk to them, learn about their language, culture, and so on. But what's best is you get to... RELAX! Damn, I need a break. I'm going to France for skiing in Feb, and Germany for...stuff... Can't wait! I love going on holiday! I wanna travel round the world, and I wanna live in Japan for a year when I'm older
 19.
Originally posted by sweetreyes I wonder where that came from...Well I'd have to say the majority of SHY ppl are just that SHY....Stuck up ppl are ppl who pass you by...WHENEVER you talk to them...if you keep talking to a shy person...sooner or later they will come around... But one way to see if a persons ahy or stuck up...LOOK AT THE PPL THEY HANG AROUND!!! If they hang around ppl known to be stuck up...then there you have it..that's what they are.. If they hang around ppl who keep to themselves but don't act stuck up...THEN THEY'RE THE SHY KIND
I don't agree. You can have a person join with a crowd of loud people, but that's just because they like the company of those people. They can still say little and be shy, but hang around with them, cos they like being around them. I think this goes less with stuck up people, as usually stuck up people have a sixth sense about other stuck up people, and hang out with them........... The shy people point is from personal experience, so...... People are who they are. Friends will influence them, but won't change them drastically.
 20. Sometimes I'm a pragmatist, sometimes a realist. Here I'll be a realist. I believe that there is only one life. This one. I believe that you should try to experience as many things as you possibly, humanly could, in this lifetime, for there won't be a second chance. That's why I got on the Boards. I doubt I'll ever meet thousands of people in real life, and the Boards lets me talk over the Net on these Boards. I'm discovering what all of you are like. For I doubt there'll be a second chance. For death is final. And I'm not trying to put a damper on, but I don't think there is anything after death, only darkness. And I'm not being depressing, just real As I'm usually a pragmatist, and hopeful:toothy: :D :toothy: :D :p
 21.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Hehe, the only time I lie is to get me and/or someone else out of trouble :D I'm pretty good at doing that considering I've never been caught up in it. All you have to do is make it logical enough that someone can believe that it is true. Fairly simple, though hard to do on the spot :p But other than that I am a very honest person, if someone asks me what they think of their physical appearance, and it's obvious that they are "on the heavy side" I'll say it to their face or keep my mouth shut, either one. People think I'm mean, but hey, they want the truth? THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! :D Hehe..
As Beast from X-Men says "A lie that is half the truth and half the lie is the blackest of all lies". But, isn't lying just another way of keeping something that you want secret secret? As long as people believe your "Made-up" story, it's cool. You can lie to teachers about homeworks, parents about grades, on a test (After it by changing answers). But the worst of all lies are ones involving emotions, especially when they are half lies. I lie sometimes, as mentioned in the quote, to get me out of trouble. Then, there are things you don't even tell people...
 22. I am quite shy outside of the boards, but sometimes I think being shy is not good, because it makes you more reclusive. If you're shy, you really won't get to know people, and talk to them. That's not as big a problem as here on the Boards, cos you can read comments and take into account what people are like, and it's easier to communicate since you're not face to face with the person you reply to. Outside, it's more difficult for a shy person to communicate. But if you don't communicate, you don't meet new people, talk to them, and so on. I don't really talk to people I don't know if I'm gonna be with them for a short time, but any longer, and you might as well get to know them. You never know, they could also be shy, and might have a lot in common with you
 23.
Originally posted by ~Mystical Pan~ er..ok..i'll guess!..Spain? or France? or Portugal? yeah..most people tend to think I'm caucasion when they chat with me..lol Don't know why though..lol PIRO!!!!!!!!! I WANNA SEE THY PIC! this better not be a way to delay the inevitable!!!!!! :)
No. Guess slightly more to the East of Europe, and you'll be closer, ok? Oh, and PiroMunkie, this topic will probably die slowly, Cos I wanna see your pic too. It might be interesting. Meanwhile, I'm using this as a diversion so that we can let the topic die, okay? Meanwhile, roll on Christmas, and roll on hols!!!!
 24.
Originally posted by ~Mystical Pan~ I just want Piro to post it already! ok..let's do what Piro wants...let the topic die and let him bring it back..lol And D. DArk..thank you...it's Sweet 15 if you're hispanic I think..I know there are Sweet 16's but It depends on your race I guess. :)
It's ok, I like making people feel good. It's just who I am... I didn't know you were Hispanic? I come from a different country in Europe, not UK. Guess which?
 25. Fine, but I just wanna see the picture, so I'll be back to check (As if anybody gives a damn, but never mind). You got me all excited to see your pic anyway. Will it be a couple more days, then? And Mystical Pan, I agree with Lotus. You do look cute in that pic (Sweet 15...I thought it was sweet 16? Oh well). And pigs do fly. If you look closely enough...You will see...
