[center][size=5]Second Challenge: Seek the eSSence[/size][/center] This challenge requires organizational skills, speed, accuracy and puzzle solving abilities. Please pay extra attention to the rules, as they are complicated this time. [indent][b]1.[/b] Each team must seek out [b]S[/b]-symbols of their own team color from the threads in [b]Adventure Square[/b]. Basically, they look like these: [center][color=DarkRed]S[/color] [color=DarkOrange]S[/color] [color=Green]S[/color] [color=Blue]S[/color][/center] The symbols are located at the top of the first post in each thread that has one. The catch is that there are [b]96 pages[/b] worth of threads in the Square, and the symbols are spread throughout those pages. You are going to need some serious teamwork to find them all fast. [b]2.[/b] When you eventually find a symbol of the right color, you must write down the [b]title of the thread[/b] it was in. The [b]amount of symbols[/b] each team has to find is either 10, 11 or 12, making it even harder to know when to stop searching. [b]3.[/b] The aim of this challenge is to form a "[b]spectacular name[/b]" using the [b]first letters[/b] of the thread titles you’ve collected. That means each team’s answer must be either 10, 11 or 12 letters long, not counting possible spaces. Furthermore, for the answer to be complete, aside from solving the word puzzle you must also [b]list all the thread titles[/b] you found an S-symbol of your own color from. That way I know you didn’t just guess the answer. [b]4.[/b] Just to make it clear, each team has a different word puzzle to solve and different threads to find, so there’s no point in trying to spy on other teams. Please use the [b]Team Threads[/b] for any discussion related to this challenge, as opposed to PMs. I want to see how you progress with this. [b]5.[/b] This challenge is a race against the other teams, and there are different “prizes” for each rank: [indent][i]1st place[/i]: Team gets to choose one new player on [b]standby[/b] to join their team. [i]2nd place[/i]: Team doesn’t gain or lose any members. [i]3rd place[/i]: Team goes to the [b]Team Council[/b] to vote one of their members out. I also believe that if BKstyles had been chosen as a captain, what your team would've come up with might've been [I]different[/I]. It's basically marriage without the right to adopt and have the same last name, and also it cannot be called a marriage. I hope you have teamed up well, because from this point on, the four teams will be put on to a true trial that can only be surpassed with strong bonds to your teammates backing you up. From my perspective, each team was strong in it's own way, and I especially have to applaud each of you for your choices of captains - they're all strong, determined and caring, just what is asked from a great captain. But like in this whole contest, there is only one winner to this challenge. Let's review each of the team's efforts separately: [B][COLOR=DarkOrange]Team Argo (formerly Team Adam)[/B]: You guys got of to a speedy start, and you quickly came up with a suitable captain as well as the name and the color. It was especially clever of you to start asking questions from each others, and all the other teams noticed this as well as they adopted it from you. The flag is beautiful in a classic way and certainly fits the name of the team. However, the reasons that you chose "Team Argo" as your name were quite dubious. I'm sure you could've come up with something more describing, if you had put your minds into it.[/COLOR] [B][COLOR=Blue]The Titans (formerly Team Dagger):[/B] You were quite single-minded about everything, and you too came up with everything without that much stress. I liked the fact that some of you put photos of yourselves to your introductions. I have got to say, though, that the flag isn't very impressive - it's nice, but not much else - and I don't know what "Titans" have to do with you guys. The Nifty Titans would've been a more original choice in my opinion, but it was up to you to decide.[/COLOR] [B][COLOR=DarkRed]The Mercenaries (formerly Team Desbreko):[/B] I have to say I would've liked to see more interaction in your Team Thread. You were also pondering between two choices for a team name/color for quite a while, but ultimately I think you made the right choice out of the two you had. I'm not quite sure how much of "mercenaries" you are, but "purple cobras" went way over my head. As for your flag, it is very stylish, but what are you going to do when somebody gets evicted, possibly very soon? Or when the captain changes or someone new comes to your team? It [I]is[/I] possible for you to change your flag everytime those things happen, but maybe you should've thought about it a bit further. [/COLOR] [B][COLOR=Green]The Laugh Out Louds (formerly Team James):[/B] Your work was quite efficient, evidently, as you were the first to put an entry up. [b]3.[/b] The four teams will face many [b]challenges[/b], most of which will take a week, but some can take longer. After each challenge, the winning team(s) will get to keep all of its members (as well as occasionally gain some other advantages), but the losing teams will go into the [b]Team Council[/b] to vote out one of their members. The voting happens by private messaging me the name of the one you want out. [b]4.[/b] In case of a tie in voting, the [b]Team Captain[/b] will make the final decision. Captains are chosen by the team, and they will be in charge of the team?s effectiveness and communication. This is important: when one of the team members feels like it?s time to [b]change the captain[/b], he or she will send me a private message with the name of the member he or she would prefer to replace the captain. Then I?ll let the team vote whether or not the captain is changed. This can however be done [b]only in-between challenges[/b]. [b]5.[/b] After the amount of players has been dropped below a certain number, the four teams will [b]merge into two[/b], and the second phase of the game will commence. There will be another merge later, after which each remaining player plays as an [B]individual[/B] for the victory of this game. [b]6.[/b] There can only be [b]one winner[/b], which will be decided by the vast public when there is only two players left. Now it has come time to announce the fourth game of survival, which will be the greatest of them all. This is? Unlike the previous OB Survivor, the players won?t take any roles, but they will play as themselves in real time, writing in first person like they would do in any other thread outside the Arena. I, Sandy, will [b]host[/b] the game and choose the players out of hopefully dozens of willing candidates. I will assemble the four teams and pit them against various [b]challenges[/b] inspired by the different forums of OtakuBoards. In order to survive these challenges, the players must show their talents in team work as well as in individual performances. These challenges test the teams? abilities in imagination, creativity, logic, writing, graphics, roleplaying, puzzle-solving, cunning and general knowledge. However, there are no requirements to what skills a single player must possess when entering the contest, except the ability to give all one?s got for the good of their team, and in the end for their own survival. The 13th episode has now been subbed and can be viewed in YouTube. I personally am glad that they decided to move things forward so drastically [spoiler]by making Misa and Light meet, otherwise the whole situation would've become too longwinded and repetitive for my taste. I'm all on the crazy couple's side (I can't decide which one has "lost it" more, Light or Misa), I wish that together they kick L's scrawny, confused butt. ;P[/spoiler]

I have a further relocation suggestion, if you may. Now that Hardwired has been moved in the same place with Otaku Lounge and the like, the front page looks quite unbalanced (two forums in the first section, then six, and then three), and there really isn't anything "art-like" in the "Arts & Entertainment" section other than Art Studio, so why don't you move that to the "Creative Writing" section, renaming the sections something like "Entertainment" and "Creative Arts". How would that sound? The procedure would be even simpler than moving Hardwired, plus it would make the front page look much more organized, in my opinion.
