Davien: And you believe I'll win? Alastuin smiles grimly, flexing her fingers like talons. Alastuin: I can practically guarantee it. Davien smiles again, and this time Alastuin notices. Alastuin: Stop that, you'll ruin your reputation. Davien: What do you mean? Alastuin: From what I've seen of you, wand from what Kredion said, you seem to be a singularly emotionless bastard. Davien: Well, I'm relatively sure of my parentage, but I'll give that the emotionless bit is normally correct. Alastuin: Normally? Davien: Some people bring out the worst in me. At his offhand manner, which just casually suggested such a paradox as the worst emotion in him being emotion at all, although it is impossible any other way, Alastuin bursts out laughing.

Name: Vukodlak Stavis Age: 22 Height: 6ft Race: Dark Elf Class: Ninja Weapons: Twin scimitars: Typical scimitars, just lighter, and the blades are entraced with intricate runes. Armour/Clothes: Concealing long black clothes, hooded cloak that does not restrict movement. No armour. Description: Slender, with very pale skin, and shoulder length black hair. Face done up in gothic style make up. Bio/History: Vukodlak Stavis was born to a wealthy family, that lived slightly outside of a prosperous city. Early in life, Vukodlak became interested in weapons and martial arts. While training some distance from his house, he saw flames rising fromt he roof. Running back, he found nothing but carnage. After a year of severe mental problems that still haunt him every now and then, he turned to the darker side of life, becoming an unscrupulous assasin. Vukodlak tends to lean towards complete emotionlessness. He feels that life is an abberation of space and time, and is typically pessimistical. He has a rather dry, sardonic cynical sense of humour, although he tends to laugh only at the darker side of life.

Unbeknowst to Spyder, Davien had followed her. His transient meditative state has faltered almost as soon as she woke up, as her auras changed pitch. After watching what she had done for a while, he stepped back around the corner, and waited for a while. Sure enough, Saethi turned up eventually, and seemed to be injured. Curious, Davien stayed around for a while, unsurprised to hear a curse form Spyder some time later.. Davien: Why me? Davien glances in, only to find Spyder staring back at him. Spyder: This isn't what you think. Davien: Oh I'm sure. Tell me, was I just some passing fling, or did you just like my car that much? Spyder: I'm serious! I didn't sleep with either of them! Davien: Either of them? With a puzzled look, Davien spots the mark on the bed. He grasps the connection immediately. Davien: So who was he? And why didn't you do that to me? Spyder: You're taking this calmly.. Davien: You aren't lying to me. Spyder: Are you sure you can tell? Davien: Positive. Anyway, why did you do anything to him at all? Spyder: He was slightly too forward in his admiration of me... Davien: I'm willing to bet I went further than he did, and you didn't do that to me. Why? Spyder: I like you, and you keep me supplied with cars. Davien: Oh well. Too much to hope for I guess. Spyder: What was?

Harlequin: You don't have the right dramatic flair. Rico: I don't really think I'd put it that way... Harlequin: Few would. Well, unless someone else has a problem, I think it is time we all left. Harlequin walks outside and starts off.

RPG For lo! If death should have a face...

After locating some rather loud crashing around in the jungle, the assorted spirits clothed again eventually find each other. Vukodlak: Alright then. Hathi must be falling behind a bit. He was meant to make this easier. Anathema: So what now? Vukodlak: We find the nearest city. The first thing we need to do is find a priest, or better yet a bishop, or better yet... you get my drift. If this doesn't work, we'll go elsewhere. But basically, we need to find out what the exact doctorine being taught is. Angel: Isn't it always the same. Vukodlak: Actually, it changes all the time. It's just that nobody alive recognises it as changing. So then, time to leave. They start down the steep slope, avoiding the various forms of wildlife, and the few human habitations they went past. Vukodlak: Alright, anything about this realm anyone want to know? -
Alastuin quickly catches up with Davien, and Davien just as quickly notes her annoyed state. It is Alastuin however, who breaks the silence first. Alastuin: Why did he think the "fold" would have a copy of the original legend or whatever. Davien: Who knows, they did, but I got to it first. Alastuin: Don't tell me you're interested in it as well. Davien: Of course not. I just memorised it and burnt it. And I can't wait for him to find out about it. Alastuin: He'll probably try to kill you you know... Davien: I certainly hope so.

Dark_Apocalypse, go away. Did you not read me post? -
You know, you hook your computer up to enough mixers/sound desks/ speakers and other paraphernalia, you don't need a sound card. I'm not sure why it works, but it does.
-
Most of their other songs strangely aren't that alike though. Especially not Since I Left You. That song has problems...
-
They used to show it on commerical television, oh god, way back now. The best episode was that big cult/mass suicide/ man in white coat vs Stewie episode.

Cloricus, no matter how many people you know that have been in such a situation, the problem will still be there until there is an institutionalised view of things. Anecdotal evidence is meaningless.

If this does break out into war, chances are this will be the war that proves the theory that sentience is self-destructive right. If nuclear war does break out, and other countries are drawn in, especially other nuclear powers, there would be very few survivours on any side. How ironic. That two disagreeing nations should sow the seeds for the mass-slaughter of huge portions of mankind.

And those of us who have heard of Capoeira know it only from Tekken right? Not that Eddy reflected anything particularly Brazilian... Anyway. Capoeira always seemed to forward to me. I mean, with say Judo, my preferred style, you react to other's movements, meaning they are the ones that make the mistake. If you enjoy what you do, any style can be enjoyable.
Originally posted by cloricus No one knows the answers, and the ones that do are dead. Please, I implore you to stop arguing every ones opinions Harlequin and Ravenstorture. They can have their say with out you two belittling them.
What makes you think we are belittling them? By asking questions, you force people to re-examine what they believe. Welcome to my world my lost cathartic friend.
Originally posted by Vegitto4 What did religion tell us? I really want to know. Being that there are mant religions in the world. Yes, they all have the basic concept, Sometthing created you, and if you live accordingly, you get rewarded, if not, you burn forever. There's tons of ground for us to cover on the conecpt of religion in this thread, because it pertains to life. All of them do.
The religion I was always taught tells us that God created the world so that we should worship him etc. That he should create us merely to see how we react suggests that the universe is some big, ironic joke. A mere amusement. Things are bitter enough for me as it is, so I'm not going to believe that.
Originally posted by D. Dark Free will denies utopia, due to people's individualism...
Hmm, one of the few people that agrees with me when I say that sentience is self-destructive. On the other hand, animals, which are possessed of much less free will, also do not exist in a utopia. Why? Because they don't want one. So it's not so much that free will destroys the ideal of a utopia, it's that free will seeds the idea then gets frustrated when it will not grow.

OOC: Well, here goes nothing. You are all assembled in what passes for a meeting hall in Hell, a small twisted vale free of the nightmarish creatures that inhabit the rest of the demi-plane. You are being addressed by Christ, who now goes under the name Hathi. You are told this word is a derivation of a word for force of peristance, if you care enough to ask. Hathi's message is this. Hathi: You all know what is going on. God has finally brought it upon himself to destroy existence and start over. The great one tires of his current entertainment, it seems. There is an uncomfortable shuffling from several factions in the audience. While they are all in hell, many are still believers, and the debate over this course of action raged for months. Hathi: Yet, we will go ahead. The specially selected group will be transported to the mortal realm for reconnaissance. And to sow havoc. The destruction of his following will hurt him, despite his abandoning of them. I bid those who leave good luck. Remember, the rest of us who stay behind were chosen to do so only because of their lesser knowledge of the mortal realm. Never one for speeches, Hathi walks off the makeshift stage in disgust. The world shimmers around you, the scintillating lights you remember from the first crossing of the veil flashing before you again. You awake, in remote mountainous country, surrounded by the others who have been chosen to undertake this quest, even though you are unacquainted with them all. Your map tells you that you are in Central America. The year is 2001. God's followers await, along with angels disguised as humans, even as you are.

Vukodlak: As for I, where do all dark elves come from? Dallas: The Underdark right? Vukodlak: Exactly. A really extravagant name for nothing more than a collection of caves really. Dallas: Never mind that it would be one of the more dangerous parts of the world. Vukodlak: So? I think he's right though. None of us know anything about each other, and we may all be together a long time...
-
Terran: Why the hell did you do that? Davien: Simple. Now we sit here and make things very difficult for them. With that, Davien proceeds to fire multiple shots at Setsuna, forcing him to perform some very intricate dodges. Laughing manically, Davien continues to fire, until a vamypre nearly takes his head off. Davien spins his twin viper out, slicing the offending arm off. The head follows. Leaving Kain to his own devices, Davien was sure that he didn't care how the battle turned out, Davien proceeds to attack in a circular motion, until he appears as nothing more than a vortex of blades.

OOC: Jupitersun, don't double post. Vukodlak: Seems the lass doesn't want to try her hand. Shane: They rarely do. So where are we going? Vukodlak: A rather nice grove a bit past here. There's a bit of marshland to cross, but nothing that bad.

Davien: To put things bluntly Kredion, you have no idea the resources I have at my disposal. You would kill me with magic would you not? And I think that if it came down to it, you would find yourself greatly compromised. Kredion: Arrogant as ever. Davien: Try me. Kredion throws a basic spell at Davien, only to feel the kind of emptiness one experiences when staring down a deep well. Davien: You like what you found? Kredion: What was that? Davien parts his collar, revealing an intricate pendant. Davien: Basic anti-magic charm. Kredion: You think I don't have the power to render one of them useless? Annoyed, Kredion starts to cast a more powerful spell at Davien, only to hve his concentration broken by Raiett. It would have been hard to miss the raven, its beak was about a centimetre from his eye. Davien: Then there is Raiett. Now, I'm rather sick of all your posturing. Go on as much as you like about how you can kill me, but if you ever try, pray you don't succeed. Or sleep lightly for the rest of your life... Davien walks into the trees, quickly disappearing, such is his stealth.

OOC: I'm amazed any of you bothered to sign up for this.Kool_aid, I'm an athiest, so it's not technically sacrilegious. Jupitersun, I believe I said six, so I'll start now. Ravenstorture is going to sign up, and that's it. By the way, why did everyone just put Immemorial for time dead?
