1. The pains of an over-active bladder.
 2. Wow, I didn't realize how many people actually shop at Hot Topic. Well, I pretty much wear band shirts. I like to wear them as conversation starters. I usually just get them at shows. One of my favourites is a Further Seems Forever shirt, with three skulls, one looking left, straight, and right. It's an awesome shirt.
 3.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I was actually at Tower records today and they had a whole display that was labeled "hard". They had a few bands I like such as Coheed and Cambria. They also had a few you guys mentioned... it seemed like most were from Trustkill. For some reason the Ramones were on there too. I like the Ramones, but they seemed out of place lol.
Yeah, Ca&Co and the Ramones? They need to fire their organizer.
Originally posted by xbloodfightx I love BTBAM's low scream. They inspire me, it's so low and sick. I can go that low with my voice. Cause I'm the vocalist for my hardcore band so I like to try out different voices. I don't know about the same vocalist thing. But I've never heard of One Amazing Kid. I'll check them out... It sounds like a rip of Comeback Kid though :(
What's your bands name? And supposedly One Amazing Kid was *edit sorry about this. I thought I had written something else, but apparentl not.* Anyway, I was saying how One Amazing Kid was pre-.hopesfall. So it's probably not a rip off. Anyway, I'm hoping to go to Facedown Fest in LA, so I'll get to see Comeback Kid. (YAY!)
Originally posted by Genkai Death Metal to me is "GROWL GROWL MUMBLE MUMBLE SSSSHHHOOOOOUUUTTTT GROWL SATANISMYMASTER GROWL GROWL".
Obviously you don't pay attention. But that's your problem.
 4. I hated this show. Who needs tree hugging Superheros? I always hated how the kids tried to stop the villains with their singular rings, and always failed. I mean, gee, everyone who watched the show knew, by the end they would eventually have to call on Captain planet to solve the problems. But no, they always had to find out how wimpy their rings were on their own, then put them together and come up with C. Planet. When they could have done that in the first place and been done with the whole mess a lot sooner... ...I believe someone mention TMNT? They were MUCH better.
 5. [q]UOTE]Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel And since they were mentioned, Jack Off Jill broke up years ago. Jessicka, the vocalist, is lead for a band called Scarling now. Their LP comes out this month. From what I've heard I'm expecting very good things.
Hey I heard that band... somewhere. They did a Radiohead cover. I can't say I was ever into Jack Off Jill, but Scarling wasn't bad.
Originally posted by xbloodfightx Did you hear the new Underoath song? It's on their site. It's good!
No, not yet. I have a crappy internet connestion, so I'll probably have to listen to them at school.
Originally posted by xbloodfightx If you like technical hardcore/metalcore or anything technical. I seriously suggest you listen to Into The Moat[good buds of mine], Between The Buried and Me, and A Life Once Lost. That's about all the technical stuff that i can think of as of right now. If you like what I told you, I bet I could remember some more if you want.
So, you like Between the Buried and me? I personally can't stand the lead singer's vocals. He has a good yell, but I do not like the low growl he has and he uses that a lot. Now, I now they have had previous releases before their Victory Records release, so has it always been the same vocalist? Also, have you heard of the band One Amazing Kid, it has the two guys that left .hopesfall. and someone from BTBAM in it. I've heard good things about them and wanted to check them out, but bad internet connection is not fun.
 6.
Originally posted by Heezay 2. 2 Fast 2 Furious- Come on, how can you not like this one?
Very easily. Well, because I'm such the Pessimist, I really didn't like many movies that I went and saw in theaters. So I'll do a quick lst of my top 3 (or so) then I'll spend my time tearing to shreds the top 5 I hated, if you don't mind. ---------------------------------- The Best Movies: 1.The Lord of The Rings: Return of the King 2.Elf 3.Identity ---------------------------------- The Worst Movies: 1.The Missing. Now after seeing a preview for this movie, one might get the idea that they're going to see some creepy horror movie, that will stay with you for days. If you thought that, then you're a sucker (like me). It was the most excrutiating 2 1/2 hours I spent money on this year. Yes, I said 2 1/2 hours, 2 1/2 I will never have back, 2 1/2 hours I would have rather spent sitting on the toilet in pain, trying to pass a stool. It was predictable, boring, and never scary. 2. Dreamcatcher Two good Stephen King movies [The Shinning and Carrie (well I guess we can throw Firestarter in there for laughs)], does not justify the crap that they keep making from his books. It's another 2 1/2 hour movie that makes you wonder, why didn't you give that $7.50 to some child in Africa so he can eat for a month. They made a good gory bathroom scene, and the entertainment stops there. 3. Haunted Mansion Yes, I was tricked into seeing this movie. One upside is that I also dragged my two friends down with me, so I didn't have to go alone. At least it wasn't 2 1/2 hours long... 4. Jeepers Creepers 2 I'll start by saying, that I did thoroughly enjoy the first one. I thought it was a very fun movie, that did a lot better than all the rest of the horror movie made for teens. This is the only one on my list that I didn't see in theaters, and I'm sure glad I didn't. It seems that they relied completely on style to try to make this scary. And though, you end up with a fun to watch villain, it's just not scary. Plus, the characters didn't have the sense of a dish towel. Yes, I know that's pretty common in movies like these, but still, do they really have to argue about who has a bigger penis when they're being cased by a man eating monster? I think not! 5. The League of Extrodinary Gentlemen I really like Sean Connery, and was looking forward to having a good time watching this movie, but this movies editor needs to be repremanded. Until I saw this movie, I thought it was pretty much common practice to leave the scenes that explain the plot and add inteligence to the movie, in the movie. Now I know better, and next time I'm looking forward to a movie, I'll consider the alternative; letting some child in Africa eat for a month. ---------------------------------- Well, that's my list. I realize that many of you might disagree, and for that I do not apologize, because you can just suck it.
 7.
Originally posted by xbloodfightx Plus, I'm really hating these new wave kids. Oh I wonder if they have any other albums...They just automatically assume not, wow, it's annoying. Research, find out for yourself.
Yeah, I know how you feel. It happened a lot when .hopesfall. signed to Trustkill records, and everyone thought they were just another "emocore" band. It also happened when Luti-Kriss (yeah I know that's a horrible name) changed their name to Norma Jean. But people will do that, I try not to let it bug me, if a band is good than I want everyone to here them, even if the people are going to be ignorant about it. Anyway, a friend of mine is trying to get me into AX7. I can't really say I've heard much, but what I did hear was not bad at all. So I may check them out sometime, but for now, I'm really looking forward to my Fall of Troy CD I ordered, that will becoming in the mail soon. So I really don't care too much.
 8.
Originally posted by xbloodfightx And WolfAngel, the bands you named for your so called "Girl-Hardcore" bands are not hardcore at all. Maybe with the exception of My Ruin but not really.
Haha, I thought about telling them that, but nobody really listens. Anyway, if anyone is interested in "girlcore" check out the band, Still Breathing. I personally, think that they suck terribly, but they're still more hardcore than a lot.
Originally posted by xbloodfightx Sorry for this, this thread just got me really annoyed. You won't be seeing much of me, but you know, probably in this thread you'll see a lot of me. Because this just annoyed the crap out of me. I hate it when I see stuff like this.
Yeah, it's kind of annoying when people think bands like disturbed are hardcore and "teh heaviest thing ever!!!". BUt, whatever, if they want to think that way they can, yelling at them won't change their mind. But I do try and educate them on stuff, by telling them about bands I'm into, though not many care. Another good band you whould listen to is This Runs Through. They are another Melodic hardcore band, but still really good. Their aren't together anymore, due to the fact that their Vocalist left to join Underoath, but they had promise.
 9. But, Brahne was, if I remember correctly, being somewhat brainwashed. Yeah, she was pretty freaky, but she was only a pawn, which in my opinion, doesn't give one villain status. Anyways, the best name for a FF villain, would have to be Exdeath, of FF5. Just the sheer bluntness of evil implied, gives one the idea that European Death Metal should be played whenever he enters the room.
 10. Okay, so DeathKnight gets lots of browny points for posting many good metal bands. Bands like: As I lay Dying, Poison the Well (though this is not really a "metal" band), ect... I tend to lean towards hardcore music, but because metal and hardcore are so closely related I'll list a few hardcore bands. Anyway, one band that any metal fan should listen to, is Extol. Their newest album, Synergy is an extreme technical mess of beauty. They are one of the few metal bands that have started out as one thing, and evolved into something different. Plus, they are now signed to Century Media records, so their album shouldn't be to hard to find And since we're listing the hardcore (i.e. Hatebreed, Poison the Well), I add some of mine. One would be Norma Jean. If I can recomend one band to a hardcore music lover, it would have to be them. Go buy their album, Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child[i/], then come back and tell me how much you love them. It may be a bit harsh at first, but after a while you find certain things about it that make it special. So anyway, that's a great album. Also, I would like to recomend(again) the band ZAO. I have started a few threads on them, so I won't go into why I like them. But, go get When Blood and Fire Bring Rest[i/], and you'll understand. Honorable mentions: Symphony In Peril, The Agony Scene, Blind Guardian, .hopesfall., Fear Before the March of Flame, Nodes of Ranvier, old From Autumn to Ashes, 7 Angels 7 Plagues, As I lay Dying, Poson the Well, Training for Utopia, and my mind is going blank so maybe I fill in more latter...
 11. Why does she need a two Hummers when she's in middle school? Your story sound like a bunch of BS to me. Anyway, my philosophy has always been that I'm the only normal person and everyone else is weird.
 12. Crap! I really thought this thread was going to be about hardcore music, and the happy people who like it. So, I came in to it thinking, "oh, joy! I know a lot of hardcore bands, and I'll be happy to share my opinions." I was a bit dissapointed when I found out it was the name of a techno band. Anyhoo, would I know them from anything? I mean, have their songs been in any movies/video games?
 13.
Originally posted by satan665 Sex and marriage are only tied together because christianity veiws sex as a sin. Its fun, we have lots of different contraceptives and you should be able to experiment a little. I still think sex is very meaningful, but it should be fun and not too serious. Especially after the first time with a person.
Well see... That seems to be the popular thought on this issue. The funny thing about that is, when that's the popular thought, and you see how screwed up the world is on sex, it should get you to wonder, if the popular thought is a few screws loose.
Originally posted by satan665 Yeah this is a little crude, but If you only have sex after marriage, how are you going to be any good at it?
Yeah... because you can only have sex once when your married? They're going to be with each other for the rest of their lives, I'm sure there's time for improvement, that is, if you truely do suck at it. Another thing to think about, if both people waited than, how would they be able to compare what's "good" or not. So, in a way, ignorance isn't always a bad thing, at least on this subject.
 14.
Originally posted by Charles f two people...
*Questions the meaning of that comment in this thread?* *Wonders if that truely is a mis-spelling?*(lol) Anyway, you personally may not agree with the ideals of waiting until marriage, and I fully realize that most don't, but it seems to me that more people seem to like what the Hollywood has to say about sex, than what the Bible (just an example, go with it) says. Why? Simply because they are horny and want the "feel good fix", right now. I'm not sure if there are any OBers like that, but I personally know many people like that. One thing to think about if you do hold the "Hollywood" opinion (or maybe your thinking about), is that obviously, when you get 14 year old kids imitating what they saw on last nights Friends, you get problems. Stuff like STDs and teenage pregnancies run rampant (which, coincidentally is the case here in the US.) Yes, you can do stuff to help avoid stuff like that (i.e. condoms, birth-control pills, Hep. B vaccination, ect...), but those things don't always work. The thing that does work, and barely ever gets the platform it deserves, is waiting until marriage. No, marriage is not a magical thing that won't let you get an STD if your spouse is infected, but if you both wait than no worries mate (at least in the bedroom). So, there are many many opinions on this subject, some people are set in their way and some are still forming there opinions. My request is that if you are still forming an opinion (or open to something else) don't just go with an opinion because you're horny. I'm guessing it's pretty obvious which opinion I hold (waiting until marriage), but I would like to make it clear that in no way am I condemning poeple who haven't waited. I just think it is the best route, and wish more would consider it. I also realize that thinking everyone will change their ways is an unrealistic ideal, that will never happen, the best thing a person can do is make the descision for themselves. That's my opinion on sex in general, but I also have been thinking about another way of life for myself. This is called celibacy, and for you uneducated folk it means no sex. I feel that for some people, this life can and should be lived. It's actually a very refreshing life to think about. Yes, you still would have your hormones but you don't have to worry about them because you have already decided sex isn't that important to you. You don't even have to worry about getting married, and that raises the value of friendships you have. Many of you may see celibacy as a impossible task, but your not me, and I'm not even sure if that's how I'll live. ----------------- So, yeah... this post is kinda out there. But it's some of my opinions on sex.
 15. That is a great song isn't it? And you know why? Because Rocky Gray, who doesn't get any respect, helped right it and originally preformed it for his band Soul Embraced. That's why! Their version is good too, I will admit.
 16.
Originally posted by Arch The first kiss I ever recieved was when I was about three, and we had no idea what her older brother was making us do. (that pervert) He was making us play Little Rascals, and I was that boy who marries that girl... or something... Anyway, he said we had to kiss. So we hid behind a tree, and did as we were told. Meh, not much of a story.
That's a great story! You could charge that effer for molestation.
 17.
Originally posted by XeEmO Every album makes you feel as if you're entering the gates of hell (in a good way).
LOL... You're kidding, right? I really hope you are, because if your not, than that's just sad. It's like the equivalent of saying, "hey everyone, hell is an awesome place, let's all go." So needless to say, that has got to be the funniest thing I've read this past week. I really hate to start a theological debate in the entertainment forum, but even if you do like COF a lot, hell, being good, is quite impossible.
 18. Finding Nemo has no chance of winning. Simply because the academy decided, in an attempt to justify not giving Shrek the award it deserved, to create the Best Animated Feature award. So, I have no doubt Finding Nemo will not lose that, even though I really didn't care much for it at all. I really think that LOTR is going to win, but that's what I thought the last 2 years, and what happend, it didn't. I'm just simply blinded by my own fanboy-ism of LOTR to see anything else as worthy. And if it doesn't win, I can always blow up the academy, can't I?
 19. Simple solution: Turn off the Radio. I personally am a fan of this band, although I don't think they make it into my favourites. Anyhoo, I support anything that has to do with Rocky Gray (Drums). I think that he's one of the most amazing (metal) musicians currently out there. He used to be in the band Living Sacrifice, and currently has his own band, Soul Embraced. I feel he should get a lot more credit for being in Evanescence, it seems that whenever their is a special with them on, it's always just Ben Moody, and Amy Lee. So yeah... Rocky Gray forever.
 20. I've never heard of HIM, but I have heard of HIMSA. They're also a metal band, but they suck terribly, and they're all about satan, so they have not peaked my interest at all. Although, I'm pretty sure that HIM and HIMSA have nothing to do with each other, except name similarities, or unless HIM is also all about satan. Which, if that is the case, I really wouldn't care for them.
 21. Communists! Sorry, I really had to, I can never help making bad jokes. Anyways, as far as movies go, I would recommend Duck Soup. I don't really remember anything about it, but I do remember laughing quite a bit. Maybe I'll get it out again and watch it sometime.
 22. Mine was fine. I had a friend over, we watched Jeepers Creepers 2 (which, by the way, is horrible.) Then we played a LOTR, version of the board game Risk, until about 3:30. So, it might not have been memorable "4ever", but it was still fun.
 23. Well, when your friends get pregnant because they can't hold their horny feelings inside. You all are going to appreciate the fact you haven't been kissed, so that you haven't even been put in that position. You shouldn't even feel depressed, you're a lot more special then probably 80% of teens.
 24. LOL! I'm actually suprised that you haven't heard them before. You're like the "resident music god" of otaku boards. And during their time SDRE was quite popular, but I guess they really didn't maintain their "mainstream" popularity, that long after they broke up. Anyway, I think that you may like this band. Although, you have said that you aren't to much of an "emo" fan, and this band is considered by many to be the Godfather of the emo genre. Still they do remain different than the multitude of "emo" bands they inspired, and in my opinion have yet to be topped by any of them. Unlike many of the bands usually tlk about, SDRE has a very mellow side to their music. That isn't to say that they don't also have a hard side to them to. In fact, (almost) each album is very different. So I do highly recomend them.
 25. I really hope I'm not the only person on OB that likes this band. Because then, this thread would fail miserably, much like the other threads I make about my favourite bands. Anyway, Sunny Day Real Estate, is a band that started in the early 90's released four full-lenth albums, then broke-up in 2000 (or, 2001). I find SDRE to be amazing, in all their many sounds. This band has quite a bit more history than that, but I'm not going to waste my time typing all the biography crap out, when no one cares. So until someone asks me to tell them more of this bands history, I'm not going to. So, if anyone is a fan of this band, I would appreciate response. You can talk about which album you liked the most. What you think of their lyrics. What you think of SDRE's new incarnation as, The Fire Theft. And, Jeremy Enigk's amazingly high vocals. So basically if you haven't figured it out, just talk about this band, I would really appreciate that.
