You can all cheer, or something. Because, here with me in the studio.... I have my latest pieces.

Some of them aren't the best pieces, some of them are relatively simple. Some I've been sitting on for a while. But, here they are.

Have fun, folks.

[PS. I have two more as well...which I'll add when I can.]

-This one is really old...like 8 months or so. Like I said, I've been sitting on it for a while.

-New one [Last night]. Not overly complex, but I actually love the idea of it.

-I've had this piccie lying around for a while. Just stuck it in a banner. See if you can see the 'surprise' though.

-I just blended two images [One I made] and added some text. I like it. Do you?

Wow. I love them all!

1: That font is awesome! It fits so well. And those squares just add this abstract quality to it. That guy looks weird.

2: Quite possibly my favorite. I love how you have started all these abstract banners. The Jazz City taks it to a new height though. The green looks great. All those squares in the background look neat.

3: I don't know what the surprise is. >__< BUt it looks good. Clean style.

4: That fourth one is....whoa! ^^ The girl's picture looks satue-esque and futuristic. The text looks great, and the quote is cool too. The background is deep and dark so it fits quite well with the banner as a whole.

Good Stuff Baron!!

Wow. I am super-glad that you all like them. Thanks for the comments ^_^.

You have just made my day.

If you don't see the 'Surprise' in my Matrix banner.. I won't tell you. Be my little secret. Teehee.

Anyway, here is the others that I mentioned before. Hope you like these too.

-Made this a while ago. Picture I found and a picture I made overlayed with some filters and some text. I like it, and it reminds me of...petals.

-Made this one last night out of this glorious puicture I found. Did some minor effects, bordered it and added the text. I think this one turned out quite nicely.

-Picture I found, which I overlayed with another and messed around with shapes and Dodge and whatnot. Not a bad banner I think.

Wow, those are all excellent! I think I like the fourth one best - it's nice and gothic and the font on it matches the atmosphere completely. Plus the sepia colourisation is cool. The Ophelia one has the same sort of charm.

I guess it'd be a bit stupid if I asked whether the surprise on the Matrix banner goes along the lines of "Argh! Look out - there's a big squidie behind you, Mr. Moustachio!" So I'll assume it's something else my darkened monitor won't pick up on. :p Nice and atmospheric, though, and it certainly contrasts your other banners in terms of colour scheme.

The "I think I can" train one just says "Dumbo" to me, if that film came to mind whilst you were doing the text. The graphic for that banner is brilliant, and the blurs really give it a sense of motion and steam being puffed out. Very industrial.

I love the amethyst crystalline effect for the last banner - a successful messing around with shapes indeed. ^_^ As for the overlayed images, it may just be me but the only point I'd make would be that to my eyes the curvature and grasp of the fingers and the horizontal line seem to jar when layered like that. I still think the crystals are beautiful though.

How do you make such brilliant, clear banners? [Has a feeling the answer will involve "Photoshop"]

Actually... I used Photoshop Sumi-E on the Train one...and I made the little squares on the JazzCity one in photoshop. Everything else, in fact every single one of my banners I have ever made was made 100% in Serif Photoplus. I think the company has gone out of business now, but I am telling you...it is a good program. '97 but still works well, and is very user friendly. Now that I have Adobe PS6 everything should be good.

But, in answer to your question, I use Serif mainly.

Also Pyro, with that comment on the Train one...do you like the quote or not? I read the passage several times over, and I am still unsure if you liked that quote or not.

The quote's fine. It just reminded me of the film 'Dumbo' - you know, flying elephant - there's a train in that which as it's going up a hill puffs "I think I can" all the way up. Sorry if it sounded like I was calling it dumb (heh, the film has a rather unfortunate name now that I think about it...)

Ah, teh Photoshop-ness. Cool.
