He also stocked up on grenade packs and reloads. He was going to kick some Covenant! He was back on the ship in no time, waiting for the other Spartans to rejoin him, and Master Chief came and sat down next to him. "You all right, Steele?" he asked in his deep, robotic tones. "I just can't believe that we are the most advanced fighting force in the world, and we couldn't stop one Covenant strike force from killing all those people. We should have been able to stop them." "We couldn't have done anything to be more prepared. The Covenant are quick, powerful and clever, but now we are doing something they are never going to expect. We are going to hit them where it hurts. On their home planet, we are going to kill those aliens! So does this boost your spirits?" "A little, I guess. I can't do anything less than fight for eveything I'm worth, and that's what I'm going to do!" "That's more like it!" said the Master Chief, leaving the room.
