A Good Traveler [Banner]

Dragon Warrior

Just a little banner I started working on out of the blue and it actually started to turn into something I liked. It was originally going to be a banner advertising Wickersleeves, my story, but it became just a normal sig banner with some perdy colors :)

I also tried some new styles in it such as the sunset rectangle in the center of the banner. Commentses, pwease? ;^D

Wow, I really like the way you merged your images so smoothly. It looks really proffesional, and really gives it some extra 'oomph'

The sunset strip through the center is really good, and I like the gradient colors, it's the perfect hue for the piece, I think.

One thing I noticed is it appears you were trying to center your text on the gradient, and it's a tad high. You could probably bring up the 'Dragon Warrior' text up a hint as well to make it stand out a bit, because I didn't even notice it at first.

The plain border fits this peice nicely and the position of the boat (And the shadowing) really works perfectly.

One more thing I noticed that could possibly be changed, you might want to make the white part of the sunset strip a TINY BIT more transparent so it doesn't look like such a sharp edge. That's just my opinion, though, I think it might make the peice flow a bit more.

Really though, awesome! On a scale from 1/100, I'd give you a 93. Keep it up! (By the way, what program do you use? Photoshop?)

Good job!

Thank you for the comments. The thing about the text is I actually wanted it a little higher over the sunset strip since it looked better than when I tried centering it. And my name I wanted to kinda have off the banner a little like it was flowing up into the image. As for everything else you say, I agree, but chances are I won't change anything because I'm a lazy jerk :D

And I used Adobe Photoshop CS. It's my favorite.
