2. I, too, have only been known to have a love for this particular forum; hell, it was a large portion of my life at one time, and on occasion I mourn the lack of such a community of fun-loving, artistic and fascinating individuals from around the world. This place was home away from home. It's time to go home, guys!
3. Writing

Hey, everyone. NaNoWriMo started earlier last week and those that are participating are either furiously writing or procrastinating like usual (I am occasionally both). For those of you who don't know what NaNoWriMo is, it's National Novel Writing Month. It takes place every November and you get the whole month to attempt to write a 50,000 word novel about whatever you feel like. There's also a website for it. It's called a contest, but the only real prize is the satisfaction of accomplishing such a crazy goal. It can be tough and will really push a writer's limits. I was just curious if anyone else is doing it this year. I know I am and I'm surprisingly doing pretty well compared to previous years. Perhaps if there are others out there, we can discuss each other's works and maybe even give some feedback. So share your stuff!
4. ... huh? I'm... I'm sorry, Boo. I have just been watching your avatar this whole time.
5.
I'll let Dragon Warrior know about this, Pumpkin :P
Oh, I KNOW, alright :P Haha. But hey... we're all gettin' older. I'm no longer the young pup I was when I first arrived at OB back in Version 1 (when our laptops were made of rock and dinosaurs on giant wheels charged it). That also means I'm getting older looking and facial hair has found its way into my appearance. Fwhat?

7. Cons

I live in Michigan and my friends have been trying to get me to go for the past five years, but I always have something going on on those weekends. And, as usual, I do this year. I'd go if I didn't have to perform in a show. I swear I'll get there next year, damnit.
8. I use my Twitter Account sparingly to update people I don't know on my life. Or so it would seem. I'm followed by a vast number of folks I've never met. I do have friends on there and they occasionally respond to my witty banter, but I think I could probably live without Twitter.

I won't spend much time rambling about the comic, but basically Eddie Skizzorhands is just me passing the time when I feel like doodling. I whip out a new strip quite often so don't worry about waiting a whole week for a new one. Obviously it parodies Edward Scissorhands and I basically make cracks about little parts in the film. If you don't get the joke, you probably should watch that part of the movie to see if you can catch what I'm poking fun at. Either way, enjoy! Brad The Bard is a new animated series I have decided to start with my friend named Brad, whom the character is based upon. It was originally going to be a webcomic, but it fell through, and recently I wanted to do an animated show for the internet using a style I thought up and this plotline seemed fitting. The animation will be pretty simplistic, but I think it'll really be part of the charm if successfully pulled off. Here is the plot synopsis:
"Brad the Bard isn't a very good musician and is a bit of a stalker towards the ladies. He happens to set high goals when he falls in love with Princess Kate. But after failing to woo her and being shown up by a more promising suitor, Brad rides off on his valiant llama to find a way to make her his. Fortunately for him, he stumbles upon a foul-mouthed, animated, magical talking lute whose strings can weave the most beautiful melodies. He hurries back to serenade and win over his fair maiden, but he finds she's been kidnapped by a retarded dragon named Wade who was thought to have been long extinct. Not wanting to again be one-upped by the other bard, Brad, his llama, and his new magical lute set off on a quest to save the princess. But little does he know, possessing this powerful musical instrument will give him more trouble than he realizes."
The plot isn't really anything super unique, but the characters will make it more so. I have a strong belief that characters can really make the plot. And the jokes and style we are going to try using will help make it enjoyable as well. Below is old concept art from the webcomic of the main three heroes: As you can see, Brad doesn't look too bright, Luke the Lute looks like a jerk, and the llama... has backwards back legs. That was merely an error I didn't catch when drawing him for that concept art. I assure you the llama will be properly intact. Anyway, as we make episodes (the goal is at least one a week), I will post them here in this thread for anyone to watch that's interested. I'll also put information and fun other stuff in here. If you have any questions, feedback, suggestions, or just general comments, please feel free to speak. I can't wait to get this ball rollin'! Nah, man, that's just it. The computer problems are preventing episodes. Not only did we lose all the files from the first episode, but I no longer possess a system that can handle animating such big episodes. Consider episode one a nice sneak preview for what's to come when I get a new, better harddrive. Hopefully this'll be soon.

Ooo... Pulp Fiction is classic ;] This game is right up my alley. And darnit, James, I knew your first quote nobody got. I should've spotted this thread a long time ago. 21. Here's the big one, guys... Hamtaro. I can't count on two hands how many times I ended up watching this on Cartoon Network back in the day. I'd be flipping channels and I always seem to watch television when it was on, so when I landed on it I'd have a gander... and actually stayed. I dunno if I liked it or if there was simply nothing better on, but either way those damn rodents kept me entertained more often than most anime I see on TV these days. The boss hampster was pretty amusing... and their damn "kush kush" catchphrases or whatever... ... needless to say, it's been many, many years since I've seen it. I should remedy that... ya know... for experimentation *cough*

23. Music

You would have to be pretty much not human to say you don't sing your favorite songs and actually be telling the truth. At least in the shower, right? Well, some of us are bound to actually get up the courage and perform covers of our favorite songs on camera. And that's what this thread is for. It's to post videos (or a link to a stream if you have it) of you and/or someone covering a song you like. This'll get some good music out there so people can hear it, plus everyone can hear your awesome talents! I love hearing covers so I'd like to see some of you :] I'll start us off. Here's a cover I did earlier this year by the band Sleeping At Last. The song is very pretty and soft, and is called "Keep No Score." The girl is my friend Cori who is the female vocalist that accompanies my vocals in my band Umbrella Bones. "Keep No Score" By Sleeping At Last God, let her listen With ears to the ground. Let voiceless approval Turn into sound. In death there are hidden, invisible keys That only when swallowed Reveal where they lead. Life is a mess We wake up to. A single thread of a deeper truth. Is this a graveyard To bury her heart? Or is it a garden Where new life will start? â??Cause God, when life here ends, Weâ??ll beg you for more. In temper weâ??ll hate you, But please keep no score. Life, it is a mess we wake up to, A single thread of a deeper truth.
24. TV

Oh, man... I am all over this thread like a pack of dogs on a three-legged cat! We seem to have a classic Disney theme going, so here are our two favorite Chipmunks (sorry, Alvin). You know this song is catchy. I know Darkwing was already done, but this is the very first opening for the show back when it aired in March of 1991. It's a bit different than what we see now and what Magus put up. Safe to say I like the newer opening better. The best for last! Not only do we all adore the theme song to Zelda, there's amusing jokes in the beginning including Link's patented catchphrase "Well, excuuuuse me, Princess!"
