Anime Your Anime Harem (image heavy)

A new [strike]insanity[/strike] craze has hit theOtaku.com: creating anime harems.

Here's the template:

So, who would you have in your harem?

[B]PERAMETERS:[/B]
- Manga and game characters can be used as well.
- Box sizes in the template are 144x205.
- Font used is Maiandra GD (unless you want to use your own).
- You don't need anything more complicated than GIMP and Paint.
- Mix it up a bit, don't be afraid to make female AND male harems.
- If you'd like, include reasons why you picked your characters.

[B]Priss Asagiri:[/B] The coolest member of the Knight Sabres, Priss doesn't talk much, but is always intense in battle. She's also the singer of a rock band, which give her bonus points.

[B]Rosette Christopher:[/B] Who doesn't like a feisty, loud, gun-wielding nun who pals around with a devil? She may grate on your nerves at times, but she is 100% dependable.

[B]Kaname Chidori:[/B] Don't get on her bad side or she'll beat you with her giant fan. Another feisty girl who is quite capable of delivering a smackdown.

[B]Rakka:[/B] She spends the majority of the anime feeling lost and confused, but she's quite intelligent, and in the end helps save her friend from a doomed fate. Plus she's hard to resist with that perpetually messy hair, the wings and halo.

[B]Seras Victoria:[/B] My favorite Draculina. While she tries hard to maintain her humanity, when she's pushed to the edge she can become deadly. She's also good for a little comic relief.

[B]Kirika Yuumura:[/B] Who doesn't love a quiet-yet-deadly amnesiac assassin? Kirikia is soft spoken and looks harmless, but she's Death incarnate with a gun.

[B]Melfina:[/B] You just want to hug her, really. Cute, vulnerable, and I wouldn't mind taking a dip in her tank on the Outlaw Star.

[B]Esther Blanchett:[/B] The second nun on my list, Esther is compassionate and caring, very much the kind of girl I could see myself with in real life. Plus that red hair does something for me...

Explanations ahoy!!

-- [b]Haruka[/b]: She's an *** kicker. Definite plus. Also, she knows when to be silly and have fun, and when to be serious and responsible. Plus, and this is what makes her a keeper, she is loyal as all hell ([spoiler]come on, she waits [i]15 years[/i] for even the [i]slightest[/i] chance to rekindle a relationship with her lost love -- if that is not dedication, I don't know what is[/spoiler]).

-- [b]Utena[/b]: The best part about Utena is she is just herself, no questions asked. She's tough, strong and "manly" while also being feminine, and she sees no issue with it whatsoever. Utena is also an ace with the sword and does random, cute things when people speak to her.

-- [b]Rin[/b]: Let's put it this way -- Rin's character design is like the creators tunneled deep into my mind, took out references for every visual marker that could possibly appeal to me (even if I didn't consciously know about it) and created Rin from the information. My god. *** kicking machine? Check. Glasses? Check. Crazy colored hair? Check. Woman wearing a suit? Check. I would go on, but this would get creepier than it already is.

-- [b]Faye[/b]: Do you really have to ask? It's Faye friggin' Valentine. She's sexy without even trying.

-- [b]Kanako[/b]: I like her elegance, her intelligence and her absurd amount of crazy. A good combination. Sometimes CLAMP character designs can look ridiculous, but Kanako is a winner. [spoiler]Even if she has appeared fully conscious for only, like, one episode so far. >>[/spoiler]

-- [b]Juri[/b]: She is similar to Utena in that she is who she is without regard to what other people think ... except in the case of [spoiler]her crippling attraction to Shiori[/spoiler]. There is a lot to admire in Juri -- like Utena, she is quite tough, and I love the deliberate, yet nonchalant air she has about her. A defining Juri character moment, for me, is when [spoiler]she is leaning forward, facing a window, when she challenges Utena to a duel in the latter half of the series. She does not care about whatever power there is to be gained from the duels, and she does not even really want to duel Utena at all, but she does it, in her eyes, to help Shiori, so she is casual and detached from the whole thing.[/spoiler] It's just so [i]Juri[/i].

-- [b]Tomoyo[/b]: It's hilarious to see her morph from a killer when interacting with Sunohara to a thoughtful, compassionate person when interacting with everyone else. To me, she is also the kindest, strongest person in [b]Clannad[/b] -- she has lapses of judgment (in a way, she is like a female Tomoya, except WAY less lazy and unmotivated), but she is always able to pull through and help others, and she is selfless in a way that isn't horribly forced and obnoxious. [url=http://joezul.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/tomoyo.jpg][b]Plus, she is really cute in glasses.[/b][/url]

-- [b]Yuki[/b]: Her gradual shift to humanity (she is actually [spoiler]an alien[/spoiler]) is quite awesome (although there is just a bit of that in the first season of the anime; I am getting this mainly from reading the light novels). Seeing her do things in her own way and having Kyon react like, "O_o; Wait, is she trying to have [i]fun[/i]??" is horribly adorable. Yuki's devotion to Kyon is also lovely. [b]Jade Curtiss[/b] -- Hot dang, what is there to say about this man that I've not said? He's 35, but looks 21. He's a powerful [strike]sexcromancer[/strike] necromancer. I love his boots. I love his hair. I love his eyes. I love his glasses. I love his [English] voice [Kirk Thornton, marry me]. I love his sarcastic outlook on everything. I love...I'm just gonna stop now before this goes on forever and incriminates me more than it already has. >_>

[b]Tieria Erde[/b] -- I've had my eye on him for awhile ever since a friend mentioned how he looked like a purple haired Jade. I recently started Gundam 00 and while I haven't gotten far...I'm enamored with him. I love his attitude, the purple hair [purple is my favorite color, yo]...and yes, I love the pink granny cardigan. :D I can't wait to see SciFi air G 00 so I can hear his voice in English.

[b]Derek Stiles[/b] -- Believe it or not, he's slightly above Jade tier *waits for gasps of shock and disbelief*. Why? Well, outside of the healing touch, he's realistic. He's dorky, nerdy [I love me a sexy nerd]...dangit, these are becoming redundant...oh, he's also the only character [sans Simon from TTGL] that Yuri Lowenthal voices that I don't want to burn alive. *cough*

[b]Klavier Gavin[/b] -- German. Blonde. Tan. Prosecutor. Rock star. And one thing that Ace pointed out is how he seems to do a pelvic thrust every time he objects. UNF.

[b]Lloyd Asplund[/b] -- He's so eccentric and crazy, I love it so much. XD Dangit, he needs more screentime and love. Also -- Liam O'Brien = win.

[b]Kamina[/b] -- It's KAMINA. I don't need to go any further than that.

[b]Dist the Reaper/Rose/Runny[/b] -- I love this man so much. He's so eccentric, much like Lloyd...and he also questions my sexuality greatly when I see fanart of him overly feminine and it turns me on. ._. Also, the chair. I WANT THAT CHAIR, I WANT TO S--nevermind. Also, another Liam O'Brien-voiced mad scientist. Dohohoho.

[b]Miles Edgeworth[/b] -- Like Kamina, it's EDGEWORTH. I need to say no more.

And the big thing many of them have in common? GLASSES. UNFUNFUNFUNF

[b]Van Fanel[/b] - The way I describe this guy is "short, dark and handsome". I have overall superficial reasons for liking him, although his character growth is attractive in its own way. ;)

[b]Kurogane[/b] - He sends shivers down my fangirl spine, let's just put it that way. Maybe I like the grumpy handsome types? >//>

[b]Dominic[/b] - Dominiiiic! <3 I heart this guy so much; I fell in love with him in E7 (and seriously wish he had starred in it now or at least had more screen time). His character is interesting and his relationship with Anemone is precious. He also has a good dub voice, which helps a lot.

[b]Simon[/b] - And yes, I specifically chose kid!Simon cause I prefer him over time skip!Simon. I'm not a pedophile, though.

[b]Tamaki[/b] - Seriously, need I explain myself on this one? Especially to those who have already watched Ouran. Tamaki is just so cute and funny and (dare I say it) wuvvable.

[b]Sakisaka[/b] - This is a bit of a weird choice, actually. lol He's not the typical dreamboat, but he is pretty entertaining and an interesting depiction of the "average" player when faced with "abnormal" Twilight Brigade circumstances.
Gotta love the Saki, what can I say? ;P

[b]Kita Furo[/b] - 'Nother one of those guys I like simply because he makes me laugh. It equates to, "Dance for me, monkey, DANCE!"

[b]Spark[/b] - Horrible dub voice (wryyy Crispin Freeman, wryyy?!) but an innocent sexy kind of JP voice. I dunno, I guess I chose him cause of his relationship with Neese, which was ultra cute in the anime.

... I think I see a common theme here now. Many of the guys I like because they're part of couples I find adorable. Van/Hitomi, Dominic/Anemone, Simon/Nia, Tamaki/Haruhi, Spark/Neese (even Sakisaka/Tabby to a certain extent) .
Why did I never see this pattern sooner? ._.

-- [b]Dr. Tenma[/b]: An easy No. 1 -- he is my all-time favorite anime protagonist. His moral strength is inspiring and probably the only thing that kept me sane during [b]Monster[/b], since it is so often a brutally depressing series. He helps so many people throughout the course of the series, and it never feels contrived or obnoxious. People would probably worship Dr. Tenma if he actually existed.

-- [b]Spike[/b]: Um, c'mon -- it's Spike. Duh. The guy oozes cool every time he is onscreen.

-- [b]Dutch[/b]: Most badass boss ever. Also quite possibly the coolest Christian you are ever likely to meet. An excellent combination.

-- [b]Ruka[/b]: Probably half of the [b]Utena[/b] fans are nodding their heads furiously, while the other half are like, "BLASPHEMER," haha. Ruka is a conniving, manipulative son of a ***** for about 95 percent of the time he is in the series, but he has clear motives, and I understood why he approached things the way he did (and it's not as if the recipient was totally undeserving lol). Plus, the guy is just so smooth and cool.

-- [b]Kyon[/b]: He's so wonderfully snarky, and he actually does remind me of myself in a lot of ways (most especially in the nonchalant, "I don't really care about that" attitude, when he actually does care about a lot of things). Kyon would be really fun to hang around with if you're in a group of really silly people.

-- [b]Holland[/b]: Excellent character development, just like everyone in [b]Eureka Seven[/b]. He is such a jerk in the middle of the series, and I didn't like him much, but once he turns around, he becomes amazing. Like, I was ready to give my life for him by the end of the series lol. Anyone would want a guy like Holland on their side to protect them.

-- [b]November 11[/b]: He's a smooth operator. In a series chock full of people with crazy powers, he easily stands out as the coolest (lol) of them all, mainly on the strength of giving off a superb aura of badass whenever he so much as blinks.

-- [b]Hatori[/b]: This is mostly for manga Hatori. His story is so heartbreaking, but I always found it inspiring how he weathered on despite that and did not let the experience embitter him, despite having to be reminded of it quite often. Plus, he is always super snarky in his interactions with Shigure, and that is enjoyable.

[B]Spike Spiegel[/B] - He needs no other reason than being Spike Spiegel. No man harem is complete without this anime icon. "Bang..."

[B]Sousuke Sagara[/B] - I really feel for the guy. He tries his best to fit in, but he's such a sore thumb in civilized company, and always on the receiving end of Kaname's fan-slapping.

[B]Brandon Heat[/B] - The best tall, dark and quiet guy to ever wield a pair of guns. Although he's a mob hitman, he has a fierce loyalty to those he cares about. [spoiler]Plus he realizes he will have to confront his best friend, and knows he will likely die from the encounter, so he sets it up to come back from the dead later. That's damn good planning.[/spoiler]

[B]Gene Starwind[/B] - Pretty much for the same reason as Spike. Plus he's the captain of one of the coolest spaceships ever. And then there's that awesome caster gun...

[B]Ayato Kamina[/B] - 100 times better than Shinji Ikari. My favorite mecha pilot.

[B]Tatsumi Saiga[/B] - One of my favorite anime heroes. He's got some issues (too kinky to go into on here), but he's principled and can't be bought.

[B]Abel Nightroad[/B] - Who doesn't love a wacky priest? Abel is just such a trip, the best goofy guy with a dark, tragedy-filled past since Vash.

[B]Subaru Sumeragi[/B] - Another quiet guy with lots of inner angst. My favorite onmiouji, plus I would love to have his outfit.

[b]KOS-MOS[/b] -- KOS-MOS has the honor of the very first character to make me question my orientation. The woman's beautiful in all her versions [yes, even the dreaded Version 2 from the second game]. And I want her hair. So badly.

[b]C.C.[/b] -- Same reasons as KOS-MOS. Also: Pizzabutt.

[b]Adiane the Elegant[/b] -- Legs. But seriously, she needs more love. As much as I adore Yoko and Nia, they need to stop being the artbook hogs.

[b]Dahlia Hawthorne[/b] -- Call me crazy, but I felt sorry for her. Yes, she was [spoiler]a total biatch...but it was somewhat justified when you consider how she was essentially abandoned time after time growing up. Plus, you cannot tell me the final case of the original trilogy is not awesome.[/spoiler]

[b]Hanyuu[/b] -- Auauauauauauauauau~~~~!

[b]Anemone[/b] -- Hair? Check. Kari Whalgren? Check. Ability to love and pity at the same time? Check. She's also the inspiration for one of my characters's offspring.[/SIZE]

[b]Mizunashi Akari:[/b] It's hard not to love Akari and I'm pretty sure it's flat out impossible to actually dislike her. She's such a sweet, cheerful, caring, and gentle person who makes friends with absolutely everyone. She's a bit spacey at times but she also comes up with some surprisingly eloquent lines to describe the beauty in the world?even if they are sappy.

[b]Hiiragi Kagami:[/b] I would have such a fun time teasing my favorite anime tsundere here. But besides that, I think we'd get along well. Whatever we're doing, we both have that drive to do it well even if we're not too enthusiastic about it.

[b]Hanamoto Hagumi:[/b] Hagu-chan is just too freakin' adorable. She's quiet and shy but very sweet and caring when she opens up, almost to a fault. She's the kind of girl who makes you want to steal her away and hide her from the harshness of the world, yet she has the determination to face things herself.

[b]Shindou Chihiro:[/b] I can't explain this one too much without spoiling a part of ef - a tale of memories, but I like her for similar reasons as Hagu. As you can probably tell from the eye-patch, she's got a tragic history.

[b]Horo:[/b] Leaving aside anything about furries, Horo is incredibly cool, clever, and cunning. She is a wolf deity who's lived for hundreds of years, after all. I love how she's normally playful with an aura of complete confidence about her, yet when she's serious she gets downright vicious.

[b]Belldandy:[/b] My first anime love, Belldandy is basically the perfect girl?as expected of a goddess. (Not that the rest of the goddesses in Ah! My Goddess are anywhere close to matching her.) That's really all that needs to be said.

[b]Fujibayashi Kyou:[/b] Similar to Kagami but with less tsundere and more attitude, I'd still have fun teasing Kyou but I'd actually have to watch myself or else risk getting hurt.

[b]Etoh Mei:[/b] Another tsundere?I can never get too much tsundere?Mei is also similar to Kagami but leans a little more towards the deredere side.[/color]

[Shinmaru]

New harem ftw. I decided to make one dedicated to the current season. Not much variety here, though, since 3/4 of the women come from three shows lol. It was also really difficult to not just throw all the [b]Chaos;Head[/b] girls on there, label it a [b]Chaos;Head[/b] harem and then call it a day. >_>

-- [b]Sena[/b]: She has not done much yet in [b]Chaos;Head[/b], but she has made a huge impact, at least for me. Sena ran roughshod over Takumi in my favorite delusion of the series thus far, she doesn't take any crap when sleazebags try to take the last ice cream from her and she has that awesome Di-Sword. I can tell I will <3 Sena very much by the end of the series.

-- [b]Ayase[/b]: Also has not done much so far, but throwing an awesome concert (and creeping the hell out of Takumi in the process) and [spoiler]proposing to Takumi in another great delusion[/spoiler] is more than enough for me. Plus, I just really like her character design a lot. >>

-- [b]Taiga[/b]: I like how different she is from most characters of her type. Sure, Aisaka gets mad and rages and moes over her secret love (although her crush on Kitamura really [i]is[/i] adorable), but she is also clever, perceptive and capable of staying her anger if there is no real reason for her to be angry. Taiga is also too fun when Kitamura sneaks up on her and catches her doing something she would rather him not see.

-- [b]Minori[/b]: Weirdly enough, Minori actually annoyed me a bit at first. I thought she was fun in small doses, but too much of her energy overwhelmed me. My opinion of her has turned around in the last three eps, though. Minori and Taiga make a great team -- I love how they [spoiler]attack Ami in the beginning of ep6[/spoiler]. It's also hilarious when she does things that are the complete opposite of how she normally acts ([URL="http://randomc.maximum7.net/image/Toradora!/Toradora!%20-%2005%20-%20Large%2019.jpg"][b]such as this lol[/b][/URL]). Plus, she has her own [URL="http://randomc.maximum7.net/image/Toradora!/Toradora!%20-%2005%20-%20Large%2014.jpg"][b]hot chick radar[/b][/URL], and that's just awesome.

-- [b]Minato[/b]: Haha, not gonna lie, Minato is here solely because she is really cute. And because of her fish slicing skills.

-- [b]Yuuhi[/b]: Yuuhi is also here due to random adorableness.

-- [b]Yoriko[/b]: Already have Kanako in a harem, so why not Yoriko? She is possibly crazier than Kanako and is definitely the more obsessive participant in the relationship (Kanako certainly wasn't [spoiler]getting pissed off due to blemishes on her lover's neck[/spoiler]). I think what draws me to her most, though, is that, at heart, she is just a girl who desperately needs to love someone and to be loved in return, even if the love is crazy.

-- [b]Kuromitsu[/b]: Look at her -- she's a charmer, though far less evil than she looks (so far in the series, at least). Kuromitsu also has the "dangerous character who could totally kick my ***" field covered. (She is actually [spoiler]hundreds of years old and has amazing fighting and healing abilities, and is like a vampire in that she has to suck human blood to survive.[/spoiler]) The intensity of her relationship with Kurou is also interesting.

[b]Shino[/b] - The reason I am a fantard. To transplant something from my theO blog: "Shino - with her kind yet completely human heart and very real sadness, her realistic relationships with others in her online universe 'The World', and her admittedly attractive character design - is truly worth it indeed."
Also, she's voiced by Kari Wahlgren (in the games) and Kaori Nazuka. Nice~

[b]Anemone[/b] - Anemone is an interesting character. Completely insane (for good reason), really no good reason for a person to like her... yet I loves her. It helps she is voiced by the awesome Kari Wahlgren though.

[b]Neese[/b] - I think I just like the priestly female types. lol Gosh.
Although her story in Record of Lodoss War ain't entirely original ([spoiler]Priestess possessed by Godess of Destruction much?[/spoiler]), I found the innocence of her character quite attractive.

Moving on... Tanabe is another one of those sweetly naive types, expressing the virtues of love, blah blah blah. But, if you've seen [i]Planetes[/i], you know why it's done so masterfully and how there's plenty good reason to like this girl.

[b]Fuu[/b] - Gosh, finally a female lead who isn't a sideline girl!
Plus, Kari Wahlgren again. Wee.

[b]Nia[/b] - Such a huge Mary Sue, really. Yet there's not that feeling of dis-enlikenment that often comes with the Mary Sue.
Face it, Nia' s just adorable.
(And again, kid!Nia is on purpose.)

[b]Yoko[/b] - Strong female character? Yes plz. Good sensible character development leading to said strength? Ohgoshyesthankyou!

[b]Tabby[/b] - Such obvious fanservice. I mean, catgirl [i]and[/i] giant breasticles? Yet I like her character. Again, a bit of the innocent/naive type; I can't help but like her though.

This one was the third harem I made, done after realizing my first male harem was composed entirely of good guys. I didn't want to discriminate against the excellent baddies out there, so I created this all-villains harem.

[B]Rosiel[/B] - The unstable Inorganic Angel, obsessed with his own beauty and with his sister, Organic Angel Alexiel. Although he's insane, you can't help viewing him with some pathos, because he knows he is falling apart but can't stop himself. While I took his picture from the manga, I also enjoy his portrayal by Crispin Freeman in the OVA dub, which is quite different to his usual roles.

[B]Aion[/B] - Another villain rather conflicted by what seem to be generous motives, but twisted by his insanity and callous methods.

[B]Vicious[/B] - Just as no male harem can be complete without Spike Spiegel, no villain harem is complete without his nemesis, the man casting a shadow over him from his past.

[B]Gauron[/B] - Another villain who is the mirror opposite of a hero, in this case Sousuke Sagara. Utterly ruthless.

[B]Chouji Suitengu[/B] - Although his methods are reprehensible, his goal to infiltrate and bring down the super-elite of Japan can be respected. He does care about those most loyal to him, and in the end he manages to redeem himself. He's also utterly cool for being able to use his own blood as a weapon.

[B]Cain Nightroad[/B] - I'm not sure quite why I like Cain so much. I suppose it's his cool and almost carefree (in an unemotional way) demeanor that hides his insanity. Plus his Crusnick form is, sadly, cooler than Abel's.

[B]Seishiro Sakurazuka[/B] - Last in a long line of mystical assassins and obsessed with Subaru Sumeragi. Seishiro is deadly at his craft.

[B]Kazutaka Muraki[/B] - Another insane/obsessed villain (I seem to enjoy that kind the most). Muraki is possily the most dangerous kind of person, a doctor with no morality. He is also a bit of a kink, always trying to molest the protagonists of Yami no Matsuei, Tsuzuki and Hisoka.

[B]Zelos Wilder[/B] -- Holy crap, this is an old one [2005]. But still one of my favorites. Tales of Symphonia's resident manwhore with a heart of gold [stop looking at me like that]. He actually annoyed me at first, but then he steadily grew on me...to the point of fanatical fangirlism. *cough* [spoiler]And to this day, I've never played the alternate storyline on ToS in which he dies. I'm too much of a pansy.[/spoiler]

[B]Junior/Jr./Rubedo[/B] -- Xenosaga's my favorite RPG series of all time. So it's natural to have an undying fangirlism over someone in it, right? ...Well, actually, as much as I tried to be a FAAAANgirl of him, it just...felt wrong. .___. [spoiler]Despite the fact he's actually 26[/spoiler]. Nevertheless, he's my favorite [next to KOS-MOS]. ...But his episode II self looked so so so wrong. So not Junior. ._.

[b]Hohenheim Elric/of Light[/b] -- ...I'd really rather not remember this one. Not because of Hoho-papa himself [because I still like him as a character], but becausw of the sheer obsessive fangirlism I had for him. [inb4 LOLJADE...because this wasa million times worse. Plus I tend to stay relatively quiet about Jade, just SOME PEOPLE WON'T LEAVE IT ALONE *COUGH*]...but yeah. He's one of the weird ones because he's older. [spoiler]400+ years old in the anime. I dunno about the manga, I stopped reading it a long time ago[/spoiler]. Also, he's manly. Not GAR, but manly. AND THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT

[b]Kristoph Gavin[/b] -- Klavier's older brother [coulda fooled me at first, they look like twins...] He scares me. He scares me a lot. But it turns me on. ...I think I need help.

[b]Linebeck[/b] -- Linebeck's bloody amazing. He's arguably my favorite Zelda character, too. ...I dunno, he's another case of "special ed" because he's not really a looker in the game [although the fanart here makes him kinda hawt]. Alla's scared of his nose. [spoiler]He's also an old one. 100 something years old, I think?[/spoiler]

[b]Ace[/b] -- This is a LONG story...but basically Michi [Michiyo Shimizu on theOtaku] made sketches of us. This was one of Ace's. I found it hot. I told Michi I'd stick him in my harem...so I did. Sorry, Failsauce. I still love you. [Platonically, of course...what else would I be talking about? Yeesh.]

[b]Emperor Peony[/b] -- I actually forgot him when I initially made this, so I edited him in for this post. Another member of the Keterberg Crew, Jade's idkbff [as much as he doesn't want to admit such], and Emperor of Malkuth. He also could pass off easily as Klavier and Kristoph's long lost brother [blonde hair? Dark skin? LOOK AT HIM PEOPLE...although this fanart gives him light skin for some dastardly wrong reason]. He's an idiot, too. Why am I attracted to idiots? ...I'm also eagerly anticipating his arrival in the anime [sans the couple of cameo's he's had so far]. That shall be a treat.[/SIZE]
