When Justin woke up, he was laying sideways on the cushioned booth that was used for eating and sleeping, with Jenna between him and the back of the booth. Both of them were completely naked. Sith spit..., he thought, You've gone and done it now, Justin. Real good...

He got up slowly so as not to disturb Jenna. He quietly put his clothes back on and walked outside to get a view of the planet.
It was small, about 1/4 the size of Coruscant, by his estimate. And it was covered with a dry, arrid landscape. It wasn't like Tatooine, but it wasn't Mon Calamari, either. He hadn't scanned for any life-signs...he didn't care to right now. He still sensed that Fayde was alive...That bastard doesn't know what 'die' means...

Then, he felt a light touch with the Force and a pair of light, strong arms wrap around him from behind."Hey, Jenna." He said without turning around.

"Hey yourself." She said, "You know, to be so rigid normally, you aren't half-bad..." She said as she looked around his arm to get a peak at his face. Rough, like it hadn't been shaved in several days. She liked that kind of look in a guy.

"Thanks...I think." Justin said, looking down at her."I want you to know, though...that won't happen again. It was a mistake I can't afford to make twice."

"And why not? Afraid you might like it?"

"It's not that. It's just not good for Jedi to get too invol--"

"Cut the Jedi fodder, Justin. I've seen you defy the Code since the moment we first met. Stop pretending...even though, it is cute watching you try to resist me." She cocked an eyebrow.

Justin reached out and touched her face with his hand."You must understand, if you allow her to get control of you, she will take you with her." Justin remembered his master's words. He walked down the ship's ramp and onto the planet's surface.

"What is it now?" Jenna demanded.

"Nothing. I'll explain lat--" Justin was cut off by the sound of the Darkmoon roaring through the atmosphere and making a very rough landing several kilometers away.

"I take it your buddy has brought the party planetside." Jenna remarked.

"You'd be correct. Get in the ship. I'm going to go finish this..."

"Wh--" Jenna started to protest.

"Please, Jenna. Do this for me." Justin kissed her forehead and ran for his fighter,"I'll be back."

Heh...I'll just follow your ***. Treating me like I'm some helpless little girl...cocky bastard., Jenna thought to herself as Justin took off.

Justin stopped as he was about to jump into the cockpit of his fighter...Perhaps..., "No, that'd be crazy." He shook his head and forced himself into the cockpit, but something about it didn't feel right. For a second he turned all of his attention to his transport where he could sense Jenna restlessly pacing the deck. She has it within her a voice seemed to say.

"Argh, but what's within her?" Justin muttered, pulling himself back out of the fighter and taking his lightsaber from his belt. He couldn't explain what he was feeling.

Jenna, he reached out to her and felt her stop at the sound of his voice, get out here.

So you've come to your senses, I see. She came striding quickly down the ramp and caught up with Justin, who was already making his way toward the Darkmoon.

He watched as she used the Force to pull her own lightsaber out of its holding place, "I just hope I'm not making the wrong decision by getting you involved."

"Justin I'm already involved...this guy kills you and then where would I be?"

He nodded, "Point taken."

"Justin, how very good to see you." Fayde appeared from the opposite side of his ship, "And I see you brought your little Jedi wench with you as well."

If it was possible, the very words would have sent lasers flying from Jenna's eyes. Instead she had her lightsaber ignited and in a gust of fury sent out a Force-blow so powerful that it sent the Darkmoon skidding sideways a few meters. While it had been intended to knock Fayde off of his feet, he remained standing and laughed at her attempt.

Seeing that she was about to pounce on Fayde, Justin grabbed Jenna's arm and threw her backwards. He didn't trust her temper enough right now to know that she wouldn't take his own head off with her blade. She stumbled two steps before regaining her footing, and by that time Justin had already approached Fayde, lightsaber ignited.

Filled with an inconcievable rage that she could neither understand nor control, she shut her eyes and tapped into the anger that was building some sort of emotion...

Jenna's eyes flew open and she smiled as the words she had heard earlier played through hermind...it not only gives you strength...but power.

Justin sensed her explosion of Dark Side energy, but he couldn't do anything about it right now. He could only protect her, and approaching Fayde with her eyes clouded by such rage would bring nothing but death to her. Justin cleared his mind.

"Well, Justin, now we can relive our days on Coruscant and Corellies, eh?" Fayde said as he drew his blaster.

"Sure." Justin bent at the knees, waiting for Fayde's attack, surprised Jenna hadn't made a move yet. Please, Jenna, just calm down before you get yourself killed. He pleaded with her, then he raised his lightsaber and caught two shots from Fayde.

Justin lept into the air and landed, lightsaber swing, practically on top of Fayde. Shots went whizzing everywhere, and a second later, Jenna had joined in. The auburn and turquoise blades slashed violently into the ever-dimming day. Fayde was a skilled warrior, and his armor took several blows from the Jedi's weapons without breaching. Though, none of his well-aimed shots got through the infernos of plasmatic fury swirling around him. He broke into a run.

"Maybe some other time, Justin!" Fayde lept into his already lifting off ship, fired a few farewell shots, then streaked off into the night.

Jenna and Justin were left standing there, in the middle of the night, trying to catch their breath."You used the Dark Side...you know that, right?" Justin said through his gasping.

"I don't really think there is difference..." Jenna said as she sat down.

"What?"

"I'll explain when we get back to the ship."

After a moment, both of them began walking back to the transport. Jenna slid her hand down Justin's arm and into his. Reluctantly he took it.

"You smell absolutely fantastic." Jenna said sarcastically.

"Hey, I'm not the only one." He smirked as he spoke."What did you mean, when you said that you don't see a difference?"

"Well, I don't really see a difference in the Drak Side, and the Light Side. It's all the Force, I think it's just according to how you use it, or something." Jenna said.

"That's dangerous stuff, Jenna. That's the kind of stuff that--"

"That what?" Jenna protested his arguement.

"Well...I don't know. I mean, look at historical figures like Exar Kun. Would you want to end up like him?" Justin pointed out.

"Well, if that's what made me happy. But it's not. Besides, who say I'll end up like that? Master Yoda, eh? He says everyone will end up like that. He says you'll end up like that if you don't hold your lightsbaer right." Jenna said, jokingly.

Justin sighed,"Listen, I like you. You know that. You practically rubbed my face in it. I'm only trying to look out for you."

"I thought you said 'That won't happen again.' earlier." Jenna mocked.

"Yeah, well, it hasn't. But that doesn't change the fact that I like you." Justin started turning red again.

"It hasn't yet." Jenna teased him.

"If you say so..." Justin gave her a grin. Then, he stepped into the ship.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well looky here, Gee Gee. It's a whole little village we can torture. That ought to crank Justin's cirvos, eh?" Fayde chuckled a little."But first, I rest. Lock her up for me, Gee." He said to his droid.
"Of course, Fayde." The droid replied.
As they boarded the ship in the dim auxiliary lighting, Justin was reminded that the walls had the hell smudged out of them, and he let go of Jenna?s hand, ?Do you ever plan on re-decorating your re-decoration??
?What, you want me to clean it up?? But it wasn?t a question because her face was one of disbelief.
?Actually yes, I do. I already got a lot of that damn grease all over my skin when you backed me into the wall.?
?Speaking of being backed into walls??
?Don?t even think about it.?
She cocked an eyebrow at him, ?Fine, suit yourself.? She reached up and ran a hand through his damp hair, ?Mm, sweaty.?
Justin could sense the sarcasm in her voice, so he pulled her arm away from his head while leaning in close to her face, ?It won?t happen again.?
Jenna smiled and pulled her hand out of his grip, ?That?s what they all tend to say.? She turned on her heel and started towards the cockpit.
?Well I?m one who means it for a change.? Justin called after her, but he frowned at his own comment. Who was he fooling if he couldn?t even convince himself that it wouldn?t happen again?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Justin was about to retreat to the ?fresher when Jenna called to him from the cockpit, ?Justin, I think you have a message up here. Your comm is winking and making noises at me.?

He grinned as he ducked into the cockpit, avoiding the low clearance, ?So now the comm unit is hitting on you, too?? He laughed at his lighthearted joke, something that he seldom did.

?Ha, ha.? Jenna rolled her eyes. For the moment she was physically drained, so she curled up in the co-pilot?s seat?an act that Justin found endearing. She caught him looking at her, ?Huh??

?What??

?Play the message.?

?Oh, right.? Justin activated what he thought would be a holo, but instead an alien language came warbling over the speakers.

?They sound distressed.? Jenna?s voice had quieted, and Justin watched her as he replayed the message. Her expression looked sad, and he instantly locked the memory of it away.

?What is this? Is it a language that you recognize??

?No.? Justin shook his head, ?But it does sound like a distress signal of some kind. I?ll trace it.?

Jenna intently watched Justin?s profile as he started to trace the signal. His face had become creased with small lines of tension, and his entire aura turned serious. He was getting into Jedi mode.

Jenna leaned over and put a hand softly on his shoulder, bending down to kiss his cheek. She didn?t expect him to acknowledge it?and he didn?t. Too absorbed in being the Jedi that he is?I?ll just have to break him of his bad habits.

"It's coming from here. And near as I can tell, it's not very clear." Justin said, as he rose to the maximum height this sloping cockpit would allow.

"So, you mean, that is we could understand, we probably couldn't." Jenna asked.

"Something like that. I smell a certain bounty hunter..."

"Can't you just let it be? It doesn't have anything to do with you." Jenna pleaded.

"Jedi are the protectors of peace and justice in the gal--"

"Oh please, I know the Mandate." Jenna stared at him for a moment,"So what do you intend to do?"

"I'm going to go find them. I'll help if I can, and if it what I think it is, I can." Justin said as he folded his robe in half."And I'm going in the fighter."

"You don't do to well at this..." She joked.

"At what?"

"At trying to leave me behind." Jenna said confidently.

"Who said that you're staying behind. You're going to fly the transport behind me. I'm flying the fighter in case Fayde decides to make himself known again." Justin said.

"So, then, no rest for the Jedi?" Jenna smiled at him.

"No. No rest. But if you're not up for it, you can sta--"

"Don't even try, flyboy."

"Let's go then." Justin ran through the ship, and down the ramp.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I've got a small village or town on my scopes. I think it might be the folks who sent the signal." Justin said into his comm unit.
"I see them too. They're kinda primitive, it looks like." Jenna responded.
"Yeah. You land over there it that larger clearing. I'll land at the edge of the settlement. Meet me as soon as you can." Justin flipped off his comm unit for fear of a smart remark. She was a fiesty one, that's for sure. He landed his fighter exactly where he told Jenna he would.
When he got out, he found a few people--of some kind--out picking through burned shelters and small amounts of reckage. Now would be a good time to have a translator, but he approached the most important looking individual he saw. "Uh...I recieved a transmission from this area about an hour or so ago." The man studied Justin for a moment, then he went into one of the shelters. Well that was polite. He said to himself. The number of people outside seemed to have doubled itself in the last few minutes. And all were staring at him; then, he heard a rustling in the bushes as Jenna came to meet him. Now, the people acted as if they didn't know who to focus more on, him or Jenna.
"Nice people you've found here, Justin." Jenna said as she approached.
"Yeah. Real polite." Justin attention was caught as the man he had spoken to a moment earlier reemerged, escort a much older looking man.
The older man raised his hand into the air, and said something in his language. Immediately, the people surrounding went back to their normal routine. Then, the old man focused his icy gaze on Justin,"You are...a Skywalker?"
Justin was slightly confused by the man's question,"I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean."
"You come from the sky? A Skywalker?" The old man sat down on a wooden stool the younger man had brought for him.
Justin thought for a moment, then answered the man as best he could,"Yes. I come from the sky." Justin made somewhat of a smile at the name the old man used for him.
"Ah...heh ah ha!" The old man's ancient features seem to brighten almost immediately. He raised his hand and again said something in his native tongue, and all the people began to cheer.
"You're mighty popular." Jenna said as she backed away from one of the locals who was feeling on her garment.
"Uh...yeah." Justin gave Jenna the only look he could in a moment like this--confused.
Again the old man raised a hand, and all noise ceased,"You must fight Firebringer." The old man said to Justin.
"What's a Firebringer?" Justin said as he sat down on another wooden stool that was provided for him. Jenna was given a similar one.
"Firebringer hides in the forest...sleep now, him. When bright sky-melon come, he ride on his fire bird, kill our people." The old man said sadly."Ride your fire bird, you. Fight Firebringer, you." The old man poked Justin with his staff.
"Uh...ok." Justin responded.
"Sleep now, you and you." The old man pointed at Justin, then at Jenna. Then he raised his hand, and said something in his language. Several men came out of various tents, and into one big tent. A few moments later, they came out again, picked up Justin's and Jenna's stools, and took them, with Justin and Jenna on them, into the tent. Then they left.
"You have the strangest friends." Jenna said.
"No kidding. I guess it won't hurt if we investigate this 'Firebringer' thing. But until then, I think they've set something up here." He gestured to a large table covered in food and drink, and a bed on the other side.
The site of it all had both of their stomachs growling. Jenna approached the table first, "I'm starving."
"As am I." Justin picked up a large clay dish and sniffed at its contents, ?Smells good enough.?
Jenna located a small pitcher of water and poured herself a glass, ?Fresh,? she said after a drink, ?not like that re-circulated crap you get on Coruscant.?
Justin tasted what looked like some sort of purple fruit, ?Surprisingly good. I wonder how they grow fruit here? It?s too dry to support anything that tastes this good.?
?Maybe they have a large, sub-planetary water basin.? Jenna wrapped a hand around Justin?s wrist, pulled the fruit to her mouth and took a bite, ?Tasty.?
?Yeah,? Justin allowed her to take another small piece, ?but they appear too primitive to know how to do anything like that?bring water to the surface of their planet and all.?
?Eh,? she shrugged, ?who knows. Maybe they?re just extremely resourceful.? She seated herself on a wooden bench and started to eat an entire loaf of bread. She realized Justin had started to give her a strange look, ?What?? She asked innocently, her mouth full, ?I like bread.?
?So I see.? He kept his eyebrows raised, ?You?re weird.?
She swallowed and chased the bread with a large gulp of water, ?Not weird?eccentric.? She frowned when he started to eat again yet kept his raised-eyebrow gaze on her, ?Don?t you find that attractive, Justin??
He sensed the playfulness of the tone and shook his head, ?Don?t start that again.?
?Fine, I?ll just finish eating over here in the corner, all by myself.? Again, Justin saw through the feinted sadness. He actually enjoyed being around her when she was like this. She didn?t think about the Dark Side at times such as this?she was herself, lighthearted and cute. Perhaps he?d be able to make that side the dominating one, and not let the Dark affect her quite so boldy?perhaps.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

?That is the best meal I have had in, well?years. Quite literally.? Jenna surveyed what they had eaten, ?I guess the same goes for you??

?I?m not exactly the best cook.? Justin admitted.

?I?m exhausted, too. I must be getting old if all of this fighting is affecting me so heavily.? She joked.

Justin realized that he had no idea how old she was? ?How old are you, anyway??

?Twenty-six?such a golden age.? Jenna responded sourly, ?I?m going to bed. I suppose you?ll be joining me since there?s only one here.?

He didn?t seem to have any other choice, ?In a little while.?

?All right,? she took his face in her hands and kissed him, ?goodnight, Justin.?

"Eh...Good...night..." Justin had his usual bout with word as Jenna laid down.

After a long moment, he made his way outside, and opened himself to the Force. He could feel Jenna, foremost. She was still awake, and quite active, mentally. Then, Justin broadened his senses and he began to feel the villagers. Finally, his suspicions were confirmed. Fayde was the one in the woods. He made his way back inside.

He stood in the corner and stared at Jenna for a minute, the he reached out and touched her with the Force. She accepted it, almost greedily and sent a similar caress back. He sat down on the bed next to her. They stared at each other for a little while. Justin was trying to decide what he should do, Jenna was awaiting his decision.

Finally he made it, he pulled his shirt off, and got into the bed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning he was awoken by a disturbance in the Force. Jenna was having a nightmare...or maybe, she was seeing something deeper. Justin couldn't tell. It was suprisingly cold on this planet at night, and he hated to leave the warmth that Jenna's body provided next to him, but he felt the sudden urge to get out and walk.
He came to a cliff, and he looked out to see the sunrise begin. So now, he was suppose to fulfill some ancient primitive people's prophecy, huh? He sure didn't feel like being a hero. The thought of Jenna was heavy on his shoulders, and so were the words of his master. He sighed heavily...
Had the Dark voice not interupted her sleep again, Jenna would have woken refreshed.
The opening to their tent was open, and the breeze actually felt good on her unclothed body. She had immediately realized that Justin wasn't there; she had felt it when he left. The urge to stay in bed, comfortable and without anything to think about, had Jenna climbing under the blankets and curling up beneath them. She'd wait for Justin to return.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When he did, he found her once again fast asleep. Yet this time she seemed more peaceful.

His presence, rather than the lack of it, woke her. Justin knew that she was awake as he poured a glass of water. He sat down on one of the benches and leaned against the table with one arm strewn across it, crossed his legs at the ankles and watched her silently. He could feel her starting to probe his thoughts and emotions, and he let her.

"Fayde." Jenna propped herself up on one elbow and looked at him.

Justin nodded and crossed the floor to the bed, taking a seat next to her. Her eyes nearly seemed clouded with caring...

She put a finger under his chin and lifted it to her gaze, "You have to get rid of him, Justin. It's the only way that you're going to free yourself from such a pain in the ***."

"Heh." He smiled and ran a hand through her hair, "I know I have to do it, and I will. More for the sake of our well being than the well being of these villagers..." He stopped when he realized what he had said.

Jenna wrapped the blankets under her arms and sat fully up, wrapping her own arms around him, "Justin, that's the rogue in you speaking."

Justin wrapped his arm around her. He had said what he felt, but not what he meant...or least he couldn't have meant it. He was a Jedi Knight. Or was he? He didn't care. Jenna felt so good in his arms. Her lips tasted wonderful, her skin felt wonderful. She smelled wonderful, in spite of it all.

Yet, this couldn't be right. She was great, she was fun, and she could even be right, but it couldn't. The idea, the thought behind it. What he said, and what he thought when he said it. He could taste the Dark Side, stained on his lips from where he had said what he had said. He had meant it with nothing but care for Jenna, but he had said it with cold blood. He actually intended to kill Fayde, without care for what these villagers thought of the way he did it. So long as Jenna was with him, he didn't care. To hell with Master Angelwalk, to hell with Yoda, to hell with the whole Jedi Order!

But no, that couldn't happen. He is a Jedi. I am a Jedi! He cried out silently through lips sealed to Jenna's. She hadn't heard--felt him think it, though. So she didn't stop, and neither did he. He kept the frame of mind...if Jenna was turning, so was he...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About an hour or so later, Justin stood and re-clothed himself. He had a new sense of power. He didn't fully agree with it, but if this was the way Jenna wanted it, he'd do it, and he'd like it.
"You went pretty wild on me, flyboy. So much for it not happening." Jenna mused atthis fact.
Justin smirked,"Complaining?"
"Of course not." Jenna held his gaze for a minute, and then took his hand. He felt...different. She felt something here...on the surface, that she had only sensed at certain moments, buried, deep inside him. She liked it, but she sensed that he didn't fully agree with it."Are you all right?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. 'Matter of fact, I think I could get a lot better." He said with a wry smile.
"Is that right?" Justin leaned to kiss her, but he immediately caught the sense of Fayde. Jenna caught it too."There he is. Maybe we should take him together?"
"No. I want to kill him on my own. He's tormented me long enough." Justin eyes had an unusual fury in them.
"I'll at least watch you. I want to see you when you kill him. So we can share that moment together." Jenna beamed.
"Yeah."
Justin stepped outside into the daylight. It hurt his eyes a little, but without much delay he heard the sound of Fayde's replacement fighter, a b-123 Archangel. He rushed to his own fighter.
Moments later, he was away. Fayde turned his ship 'round to face him."Nice seeing you again, Jedi. Where's your little lady-friend. You know, she's kinda pretty. maybe after I kill you, I'll make some half-Jedi kids with her, eh?" Fayde mocked him, expecting a calm, passive Jedi Knight. Instead, he got a firestorm of laser-fire. Fayde tried to roll but all of the shots hit home, and laid a beating on his shields. Fayde still managed to get behind Justin and get a torp lock on his fighter.
Justin turned up, hard, building g's like crazy. He could feel himself being pressed down into the seat and when he was sure the time was right, he rolled and dived. The torpedo would run out of fuel before it ever found him again. He let his ship free-fall until he came back down through the clouds and got sight of Fayde, who was shooting the small village to pieces. Instantly his thoughts turned to Jenna, who was in that village. He filled with rage, and, almost reflexsively he raised the only large tree in the area up and hit Fayde's ship with it.
The fighter hit the dirt. Fayde crawled out, slowly. But when he looked up, he saw Justin, leaping from his fighter, lightsaber drawn. Fayde shot a well-aimed bolt at Justin, but Justin intercepted it, and the bolt hit Fayde squarely in the face. Fayde fell back...most certainly dead. But Justin stabbed him in the torso, anyway.
Jenna brushed Justin with the Force. Justin cut off his lightsaber and turned to catch her in his arms. Initially after killing Fayde, Justin felt good. But now the realization of what he had done gripped his heart as tightly as Jenna gripped him now. Jenna...Jenna made all the guilt go away...
Jenna's eyes were wide with excitement, "You let it happen."
Justin laughed as he glanced down at her, "Let what happen?"
"You used your emotions to control the Force, you didn't have to hesitate."
"I didn't," Justin thought for a moment and then glanced back at Fayde...not a pretty site, "it was easier."
"Wait, Justin, come back." While he still held her tightly in his arms, Jenna could see his mind starting to wander and she shook him lightly, "Don't go Jedi on me and regret what you've just done."
He blinked and smiled, "How could I, I just destroyed a man who has haunted me like a shadowy nightmare for what seems like forever." (Why do I feel like he's going all Anakin Skywalker on me right now o_O?)
"So you see? You see what the emotions do for you." Jenna closed her eyes and lifted her lips to Justin's, "It's freeing."
The old man came out with the help of his aide."Skywalker...you." The old man pointed at Justin."Save my people...you."
"Skywalker, eh?" Justin said with a smile."What do you think about it?" He asked Jenna.
"It was a nice ring to it. Justin Skywalker...Jenna Skywalker."
"You think you deserve to be a Skywalker?" Justin joked.
"Do YOU think YOU deserve me to be?" She shot back.
"Uh..."Justin lost his words again as the went into a huge hall with food prepared for them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the meal, the old man stood, spoke in his language, and then addressed Justin,"Skywalker...you are." The he turned and spoke in his language,a nd everyone cheered again.

Soon, everyone cleared out of the hall. Justin debated whether to staye dthe night here or head back out into space. He decided for the latter.

Jenna had fallen asleep as Justin carried her back to the transport, and when they arrived, Justin sat her gently down in the co-pilot's chair. Then he started the repulsorlifts, and took off into space. He still hadn't settled his mind on the new course he had decided to take in his life. He sensed his old master trying to reach him. His talks with Angelwalk would now have to end...it seemed.

Jenna dreamt of Yavin IV. The planet wasn't unfamiliar to her, she had visited it countless times while sleeping and meditating. But this time it seemed more real.

Someone was holding her hand...was it Justin? She reached out for him, but found a different presense...it was familiar, but not belonging to Justin.

This presence was stormier?more volatile. It didn't hold good intentions as Justin most often did, but instead seemed to harbor dark secrets and whispers of death. It wasn't something that scared her, she had grown immune to what most would consider shocking, but the hand that clasped her own didn't feel as gentle as before.

The great temple of Yavin IV was suddenly before her. The trees surrounding it were teeming with life and Jenna felt welcome in the jungle, but she was reluctantly pulled into the shadows of the massive stone structure.

And here was the center of the power.

The Massassi Temple was filled with Dark energy that caused her hair to be lifted and whip violently about her face. Jenna could hardly explain the sensation that soon overcame all pretenses, but she finally relaxed and let the energy fill her with strength.

The room fell silent and still. Jenna closed her eyes and tried to absorb the feeling, sounds, and smell of what was around her, and when a hand reached out and stroked her face she opened her eyes in anticipation of seeing Justin. She had had this vision countless times already, so why was she so surprised to see the dark, handsome face of Exar Kun standing before her?

Jenna had a strong urge to pull away from his touch, but the grey eyes stopped her. Exar moved closer, never taking his penetrating gaze away of her fiery caramel eyes. She could feel the power that he held inside and it was a feeling that thrilled her.

She knew what would happen next, expected the temple to start shaking as he leaned in to press a greedy mouth against her. But this time the temple didn't shake. Instead the energy that seemed to flow from his lips and into her body overwhelmed her?this was something that hadn't happened before.

Exar pulled away and smiled down at her. The smile was dark and half-hidden in shadows and Jenna was tempted to reach up and feel the scar that dominated the right side of his face. As her fingers neared the three, deep claw marks of a day long-passed, Exar's face twisted with anger and he intercepted her wrist.

As his grip became painful, Jenna clenched her jaw and stared up at him with question, "What have I done?"

"Don't remind me of times long ago." He thought back, and though his lips did not move,A his booming voice filled the temple. "This scar serves as reminder enough, you don't need to make the pain worse."

Taken aback by the comment, Jenna tried to wrench her wrist away from his grasp and when it didn't work, she called upon the Force to aid her. Exar Kun merely laughed and threw her backwards, causing her to hit the stone floor hard.

Too confused to react, Jenna didn't attempted to pull away as he crossed to her and caressed her throat, "Vengeance, not love, is what makes you strong." His hand encircled her neck and squeezed lightly, "Remember that."

Jenna awoke before she was able to respond. She had purposely pulled herself out of the vision because Exar Kun's presence had turned alien and unfamiliar?

The starlines of hyperspace were gliding by outside the viewport, but Justin wasn't beside her in the cockpit. Unsettled by the vision, Jenna made her way back to the 'fresher and found him already occupying the shower's small space. Wanting to be near something familiar, Jenna disrobed and stepped under the spray to join him.

"You seem tense." Justin said without looking at her.

"It was just a nightmare." She said, still a little shaky.

"Another one?"

"What do you mean?"

"You were having one last night, too. You know, before..."

"Oh, yeah..." Jenna leaned her head against Justin's shoulder.

"What are they about?" Justin asked, sensing that she was really on edge.

Jenna thought for a moment, then she answered,"Have you ever wanted to Yavin 4?"

"Uhh...it seems like a nice place. No one lives there, anyway. But a big part of history happened there. What are you getting at, anyway?" Justin turned to face her.

"I'd just...like to go." She looked up at him with pleading eyes.

"Why?" He moved closer to her.

"I want to see what was so big about Exar Kun. I promise, you won't regret taking me. A nice big moon, all to ourselves. C'mon, Skywalker." She teased him.

Justin stared, seriously, at her for a moment. Her teasing didn't exactly have the desired effect."I suppose it wouldn't." Or did it?

"Thank you!" Jenna wrapped her arms around Justin's neck and gave him a kiss.

"I've kept you alive for too long, Fayde." Exar Kun said to the bounty hunter."I don't suppose you realize how difficult it is to heal you from so far away."

"I guess I don't. Listen, why do you keep me around, anyway?" Fayde asked.

"Would you rather I kill you now?" Exar Kun said.

"No, of course not. But, I don't see why you keep saving me."

"Because deep inside Justin there is a hate for you, as there is a hate for no other thing, in no other thing. I plan to use that hate." Exar Kun smiled an evil smile."You won't need to leave this moon again. Justin and his precious are on their way here, now."

"Really? Will I get to kill Justin?"

"Perhaps. If he won't join me, you can do what you wish."

"Why do you want him?"

"It's not him. It's his hatred for you that I desire. I can make that hatred a hatred for all things, and through him, I can bring back the glorious Age of the Sith, and this time there will be no one to prevent me from conquering." Exar Kun mused at his plot.

"What about the Jedi?"

"The Jedi have grown weak since they took over. And I, I have only grown stronger. Now, go...shoot at an animal, or something."

"As you say." Fayde exited.

After a while, the two ?Jedi? made their way back up to the cockpit. They had put the ship in orbit around the planet?called Dziam by its inhabitants?and Justin was checking their vector, "I think we may need more supplies before long." He commented, "I know that we can make do with only the bare essentials, but?"

Jenna felt his indecision, "We can always set down on a Republic planet and pick something up."

Justin glanced at her, "I thought you were eager to get to Yavin IV."

"Well since you?re being so kind as to take me there, allowing us to stop somewhere else first to pick up things that will help prevent us from starving and dying?I mean, it?s the least I can do."

"Oh, why thank you very much." Justin joked back.

"No problem, flyboy." I used your word ;D!

Justin prepped the transport for a hyperspace jump and surveyed the nav-computer while the engines warmed up, "Well we?re in the Tingel Arm region, which is fairly close to the Yavin cluster. A good Republic planet between here and Yavin IV is Cathar."

"Cathar," Jenna repeated, "is that a world primarily inhabited by humans?"

"If memory serves me correct, it?s home to the Caths, a feline race." He scrolled down the screen and pointed to some data, "Yes, the Caths. At least their main language is Basic, so we shouldn?t have any trouble."

"You shouldn?t, at least." Jenna raised an eyebrow at him

"What?"

She lowered her voice and leaned close to him, "Have you forgotten that I?m a wanted woman?"

Actually, yes he had. Or at least temporarily. "Well I know that I have heard stories of Cathar Jedi somewhere before, so I?m sure that if we behave we?ll be quite welcome and they'll think nothing of it."

Jenna laughed, "You say ?behave? as if misbehaving is a bad thing."

Justin gave her a small smile, "It can be."

"Not always." Jenna shrugged, "Well I?m just worried about fitting in?I don?t want to be wearing a big blinking sign over my head that says, 'Look here, a 1.68 m female with dark red hair in Jedi garb and obvious Force powers. It must be Jenna, the woman with a big gigantic price on her head!' ?if you catch my drift."

Justin sighed, "Yeah, I get it. You could always disguise yourself."

"Nah." Jenna sat back in her seat, "I think I?ll just mess with some mild sorcery and project a different image of myself to anyone we come into close contact with. I?ll just keep my hood up at other times. Besides," she tapped Justin playfully, "I have you to protect me."

Justin fell silent for a moment, so Jenna frowned and cocked her head at him, "What is it?"

"The Lost 18."

"?of the Jedi Order?"

Justin nodded slowly, and then looked suddenly at his beautiful counterpart, "You?re one of them. The most recent one." The fact that he hadn?t put two and two together before made him feel foolish.

Her expression became solemn, "Yes, I am. But that?s not what defines me as a Jedi?"

"Then why did you leave?"

Jenna looked at him for a moment, long enough for him to sense her anguish, before standing up and exiting the cockpit.

"Wait, Jenna!" Justin stood up and hit his head on the ceiling. After shouting a few choice words, he continued his pursuit of Jenna, who had made her way back to the dining/relaxing area."I didn't--"

"I know you didn't. I just don't like to talk about some things." Jenna didn't look up.

Justin sat down beside her."Well, you can talk to me about it. I won't bite."

"That's my line, Skywalker." She cheered herself up a little.

"Heh...I know." Justin slipped his arm around her shoulders."Now, c'mon talk to me."

Jenna looked at him for a minute, then she turned away, "I said 'no'. Respect that and leave me alone about it."

"Jenna, please."

"No, damn it! Talk about something else, or go away!" Jenna's temper flared to hide the small droplets of water condensing in the corners of her eyes.

Justin was caught off-guard by her reaction, but he quickly recovered. He relaxed his arm and rested his forehead against her shoulder. She placed a finger under his chin and lifted his head up,"I'm sorry."

"It's all right. I shouldn't have pushed you." Justin looked her square in the eyes, and then he prssed his lips firmly to hers.

?You?re really bad for me.? Jenna climbed into Justin?s lap and straddled him.

He was slightly amused, ?Oh? Why?s that??

?Because my mind can?t think of anything else right now.? She wrapped her arms around him and leaned down to kiss his neck.

Blatant change of subject? Justin thought to himself. But as Jenna?s hand started to slide underneath his shirt, he decided not to complain.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
?So this is Cathar.? Jenna?s face was half hidden by her dark purple hood as they walked by viewports stationed in the walls of the spaceport.
Justin glanced around as they entered the main foyer, ?Appears to be a rather wealthy planet?this region at least appears to have a great deal of money.?
As they exited into the sun-warmed plaza surrounding the spaceport, Jenna pulled her hood back a bit further, ?I wonder what their main trade is, then??
?I think it has something to do with spices, not the illegal sort, but food spices and agriculture?? Justin trailed off when he realized Jenna wasn?t listening, ?Hey?Jenna.?
?Justin, take a look at this.? She motioned him toward two small marble statues of Caths wielding lightsabers in a brave sort of fashion.
?Eh?what about them??
She smiled at the small plaque next to the statues, ?Crado and Sylvar.?
The names were familiar?
Jenna had an urge to wrap her arms around Justin and hug him, ?They trained under Master Vodo-Siosk with Exar Kun.?
?Oh, I remember now. That?s how he got??
?The scars.? She turned to fully face Justin, ?On his cheek.?
The excitement made her eyes gleam, and Justin wasn?t too sure what to think about that? ?They, uh, must have thought these two to be brave for going up against Kun?to erect their statues here.?
?Perhaps?? Jenna just smiled, the grin nearly turning dark under the shadow of her hood, keeping her thoughts to herself.
?All right, ready to go buy our supplies and get out of here??
Jenna nodded, ?Indeed.?
Justin had an urge to take her hand, but quickly remembered that he couldn?t in such a public place. Instead, he tucked his hands inside the sleeves of his cloak, and started out into the city with Jenna at his side.
"So what do we need?" Jenna leaned in and asked him.
"We need food and water, first of all. And there's a place we can get them." Justin pointed at a little shop.
They entered the shop and Justin moved through and picked up everything they needed, paid for it, and they left.
"That was fast." Jenna commented.
"It was supposed to be. Now we can leave once we fill the ship up."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once they were onboard the ship Justin put the stuff they bought away, and went to the cockpit."You might want to strap in, Jenna. I'm getting ready to take off."

"All right, but I want to give you something first."

"What?" Justin turned to look at Jenna. And Jenna handed him a bottle of Corellian Whiskey."Eh...thanks...how did you know this was my favorite?"

"You had a brief dream about it last night." Jenna smiled.

"And you...bah...nevermind." Justin turned his attention back to the controls. Stay out of my mind. He thought at her.

But it's so fun. She thought back.

"Wait a second, where did you get it?"

"Uh...you know that store we were in...I got it there." Jenna said.

"You stole it?"

"No. I bought it while you were leaving. It wouldn't be much of a present if I had stolen it." Jenna was a little offended by his question.

"Sorry. Thank you, though. Maybe both of us will enjoy this, once we get into space." Justin shot her a smile.

Jenna bent down and gave him a kiss."Mind your controls for now, flyboy. We'll get to the fun later." Jenna strapped herself in as Justin through the repulsorlifts on.

After takeoff, Jenna wandered back to the eating area and scrounged through their new food supply. She was almost sorry for the two huge feasts they had eaten...they had given her a taste of what she was missing, and had weakened her resistance to hunger. Then again...why was she complaining?

There wasn't much in the way of good food to choose from, but it beat what they had been eating before. Tearing open a package of dried fruit, Jenna ate it all more quickly than she had planned. Sighing when the package was empty, she flopped back on the padded couch and stared up at the ceiling.

Why it looked familiar, she had no idea...then again...a memory that she had buried deeply within her mind floated to the surface...
"But you have to!"

"Jenna, we don't have a choice, don't you understand?"

She shook her head in protest, even though it caused pain to sear through her rib cage, "You can't just leave them?"

Yannig held her down as she attempted to stand up and the pain became too great to argue about it.

"Someone...has to do something." Tears started to cloud her eyes.

A violent explosion from the adjacent ship rocked Yannig to the floor, causing Jenna to fall on top of him. Before she blacked out from the pain, she watched as giant flames engulfed the Eventation as it glided slowly to its death on the planet below.
The memory had Jenna jerking into a sitting position, chest heaving, "Why haven't I forgotten?" Angry tears spilled down her cheeks and fell silently into her hands.

Justin felt Jenna's anger like a block of ice sliding down his back. Whoa. He thought. All he got were images and feelings, a burning ship, sharp pain, desperation, but they were as clear to him as if they had happened to him. He walked, quietly into the eating area, "Jenna. Please talk to me." Jenna didn't try to hide the tears, or the obvious pain this time. She just sat there quietly.
"Jenna, please." Justin stood in front of, reluctant to sit down. Again, Jenna said nothing. Justin dropped to one knee, and tried to manuever his gaze to meet her's, but she wouldn't make eye contact. So Justin move to where his back was against the seat, and sat down on the floor below Jenna.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"They'll come apart. Both are too arrogant." Exar Kun muttered to himself.
"They didn't seem that way when I saw them." Fayde said from a dark corner.
"Silence." Kun snapped.
Fayde drew his weapon and pulled the trigger, and nothing happened. Exar Kun indulged himself in a brief laugh. Then he turned his gaze upon Fayde's."Your anger makes you strong. Regretably, the Force flows weakly in your veins. Otherwise, I wouldn't have to through all this trouble, my friend." He nodded his head and Fayde was hurled back into his corner.
"Damn, Sithspawn!"
"Wrong, hunter. I am Sith..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Jenna laid a damp hand on Justin's shoulder. Then, the laid down completely. Justin took her hand, and dozed off himself.

"I don't want to be bothered now, Angelwalk." Justin snapped.

"So now it's 'Angelwalk' eh? Once you called me 'Master', back when you were a Jedi!" The old man said.

"I've chosen my own path. Whether you accept it or not, I don't care."

"You know that's a lie, Justin. Soon I won't be able to speak with you like this. Soon I'll become one with the Force, and you'll be on your own. I'm trying my best to help you while I can. You must leave her, or she'll kill you!" Angelwalk argued.

Justin cut the connection. He focused his thoughts on Jenna. She was having her usual bout with nightmares, so he decided to lend what help he could. He focused some of his power to go to her.

Suddenly, Jenna felt a different presence in her dream. Exar Kun noticed it too. He look now back beyond her. She turned to find what it was he was looking at. "Justin!" She called. Sudden;y she felt a surge of power shake her body and saw blackish lightening coming from every corner of her vision. It encircled Justin, it suffocated him. Jenna could feel his presence dieing. She ignited her ligtsaber and turned to face Exar Kun. But she found herself looking at Justin; but he was different. Before she could react to this new surprise, she felt Justin's presence die completely. Her heart sank.

"Meet my new friend." Exar Kun's voice resonated throughout the Temple. Now, Exar Kun was standing beside Justin, who's lightsaber was ignited at held in front of his face. Jenna had never seen such a look in his eyes.

She wrenched herself from the vision. She noticed that Justin was as drenched in sweat as she was, and was experiencing a dream of his own. Maybe the same one she had just gone through. Either way, he was awake only a moment after her. And he met her gaze with his eyes as wide as Sarlaac's Maw. She threw her arms around him and fell on top of him, and she was crying again.

Justin stood up and held her in arms for a moment, the he sat her down on the couch. "Jenna, tell me what's going on."

"Do you really want to know why I left the Order?"

Justin nodded, a sympathetic expression crossing his face.

"All right." Jenna briefly closed her eyes and tried to clear her mind, something she didn't do often enough, "It three years ago when I started to notice the flaws in the Jedi Order. Now by claiming that the Oder has flaws doesn't mean I'm saying that my ideas are perfect," she glanced at him to make sure he understood the importance of what she had just said, and Justin nodded, "but the flaws started to overshadow my faith in the Jedi.

"I don't think that anyone could really sense my evergrowing defiance besides Master Yoda, since I trained under him and he knew me well.

"And then there was Yannig whom I had grown up with. We were born only two days apart and he became like a brother to me...we were really close." Jenna pushed away the small ache that, in her heart, was continuously attached to his name...

"One day six Jedi were sent on a mission to prevent a military overthrow on Nazem...I don't suppose you ever heard of that mission?" Justin, who had remianed silent, shook his head.

"Didn't think so. Nobody knows about it...nobody except the ten of us that were sent to retrieve them."

Justin certainly hadn't heard about this, "What went wrong?"

"Somehow they got captured?we weren't given the details of the mission?and were being held as hostages aboard a large Republic cruiser. The cruiser was stolen, since the government had rebeled against the Republic, and that's why we were allowed to go and retrieve them by basically any means necessary.

"Things turned bloody." Jenna closed her eyes for a moment, and Justin placed a hand gently on her arm, "We were supposed to be able to easily overpower them...but the aliens that lived there had some sort of warped power with the Force. The ten of us weren't strong enough.

"I watched as three of the ten died, unable to prevent it because I was getting damn near slaughtered myself. It was a rocky planet, and an explosion caused a rockslide to basically crush my entire ribcage. After half of us had been killed I started to feel a deep hatred for the Council and how they had let something like this happen...how they could not have foreseen it." She paused to dig out what had happened next.

"Yannig, myself, and three other Jedi escaped back up to our ship and tried to engage oncoming fighters. They were brutal warriors...I can't really explain how they fought...but it wasn't normal, and it was hard to predict.

"They told us to surrender our they'd blow up the orbiting cruiser that contained the six Jedi we had been sent to retrieve. So we surrendered...and they blew it up anyway. I can't really remember if I was delirious because of the pain I was in, but I had the most intense anger about what happened and I couldn't understand why.

"After two weeks of being held under the rebel's power I came close to dying, and probably would have had the Council not sent out an entire legion of Jedi to finally end the ordeal. It was aweful...there wasn't anything I could do, either. I was alone and injured, and I tried my best to heal myself, but the conditions made it impossible." She fell silent and fixed her gaze upon the ground.

Justin's eyes narrowed with resentment, "Why didn't the rest of the Order ever know about this?"

"Because they Council didn't want the entire Republic to know that they had ****ed up...royally."

"That's..." Justin couldn't make words for the emotions he felt now.

"Dishearting?" Jenna suggested."All the years of faith you've had in the Order, the Code, the Jedi, period?"

"Yeah..." Justin voice was shaky."But the entire Council didn't go along with that, willingly, did they?"

"Eventually, yes. The entire Council came to the conclusion it would be better if no one knew but those who were involved." Jenna could feel a void forming in Justin's presence.

Justin slowly sat back in the couch."I...this...this goes against everything my master ever taught me about the Jedi. We're supposed to honest, to each other at least." Justin reached out, and tried desperately to detect any hint of deception in Jenna's mind, Jenna allowed him, and he found none.

"You see, I am telling the truth."

"You are..." Justin stared up at the ceiling.

Jenna took his hand, which was so still she would've thought him dead if he weren't talking to her. Then she felt him give way. All the faith he had put into the Light Side fell, and him with it, to a dangerous area of grey. Right where she was. She wrapped her arms around the trunk of his body and laid against him, half-way sorry she had told him her story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few hours later Justin realised that Jenna was asleep in the position she had set herself in. He ran trembling fingers as far down her body as he could reach and then back up again. Her sleep was peaceful, unplagued by her normal nightmares.
He could only think of how beautiful she was, and how much he desired her....Desire. That's forbidden for a Jedi. I am not a Jedi. He thought. When he turned his attention back to Jenna he noticed she was staring at him with her blazing caramel eyes. He kissed her, slowly at first, then with passion he had not known since before he began his Jedi training.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"He's almost ready." Exar Kun said with triumph.

"Can I kill the girl?" Fayde asked, remaining in his corner.

"No. It is all important that Justin be the one to kill the girl. Or...the girl to kill Justin." Exar Kun said with an evil smile."Either way, I will have my way."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Master Angelwalk. Good it is, to see you." Yoda said to the apparition that interupted his meditation.
"Master, we have a problem. Justin is slipping." Angelwalk said with urgency.
"Know this, I do. Seen him, I have. Wrong, I was." Yoda said with a sigh.
"He won't even talk with me anymore. I can't help him."
"Nothing can any of us do. His choice, it is." Yoda said sadly.
Lying naked on the hard deck, her head on Justin's shoulder, Jenna was exhausted. It had been, she admited, exactly what she had needed at the moment. She felt extremely purged.
She noticed that Justin's eyes were closed, but she could sense that he wasn't asleep, "Hey." She rolled onto her stomach and propped herself up on her elbows.
Justin squinted one eye open as Jenna's hair tickled his bare stomach, "Hm?"
She placed her right hand on his cheek and stroked it with her thumb, "That was crazy."
He returned the gesture by running his fingers through her hair, "That's the way it should be, melady."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"We're coming out of hyperspace in a few minutes." Justin commented as Jenna entered the cockpit, her hair wet from the shower.

Yavin IV..."All right." But she didn't know if she was ready or not.

As soon as the starlines faded into star points and the gas giant, Yavin, was before them, his presence could be felt.

"He's waiting for us." Through the Force, Jenna could hear faint whispers.

"Exar Kun?" Justin wasn't too sure he really liked the sound of the guy..."Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Jenna turned to him and smiled, "Justin, this was my purpose. This is the reason I sought you out."

He responded half-jokingly, "I kind of figured that." But even hearing it from her caused him to have his doubts...

"Coming in on Yavin 4...now." Justin said as the silhouette of the jungle moon appeared between the ship and the gas giant."It'll be night where we land." Justin commented. Justin eyed Jenna from the corner of his, sensing her desire to land. He admitted to himself that he, too, felt a pull to the place. But he had decided to remain wary of it. He didn't want to become a slave to the Dark Side. He began making preparations to eneter the atmosphere.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Nice place." Jenna said as she stepped down the ramp.
"It'll look nicer when it's daylight." Justin said as he stared off into the jungle. The very top of the of the gas giant peered over the trees, giving the illusion of sunset.
"Pretty, isn't it?" Jenna said as she took Justin's hands in her own.
"Yeah..." Justin agreed, half-heartedly. He was focusing on the ominous feeling this moon had; and the detachment he sensed in Jenna. She was as beautiful and warm as ever. But she seemed starved for something. Something he knew he could not giver her.
"You ok?" She said, noticing Justin's distance in the Force. Suddenly, what had happened in her dream flashed back into her. She pulled Justin close.
"I'm fine. What about you?"
"Yeah. I just want to be close to you, that's all." Jenna said contently.
"You don't feel like you need to be close to me." Justin said looking away from her.
"What do you mean?" She said as she looked up
"I mean, I sense a hunger deep down inside you. Something I can't feed." Justin said as he gazed down at Jenna.
"Justin...everyone has needs that can't all be filled by one person." Jenn said as she nudged Justin's neck with her head.
"I love you." Justin blurted the words out before he knew what he'd said.
Surprised at the words, Jenna pulled back, "...what?"
Justin's cheeks grew hot, "I...I don't know...I didn't mean..."
Jenna stepped back toward Justin and could feel him start to tense up, "Wait, Justin." She took his face in her hands and forced him to catch her gaze, "What the hell are you ashamed about?" Before he could respond with anger, she smiled, "Say it again."
"But I?"
"Justin...I think I love you too."
His muscles relaxed and he stared at her, "You think."
"No, I know."
"But you?"
"Hey," she placed her hands around the middle of his torso, a place that she loved to feel his sturdiness, "say it." The innocent threat was covered with a smile.
He couldn't prevent it...he lost himself in her presence, "I think I love you."
"Hah," Jenna hit him playfully, "shut up, you're making fun of me."
He grabbed her wrist and pulled her against him, "I do love you, Jenna." Her mouth tempted him to lean down and taste it with his own......until a dark, icy breath seemed to wash over both of them. He felt Jenna shiver in his arms.
Her eyes narrowed, "He's close."
Thanks for ruining the moment you bastard... Justin thought, making sure to keep his thoughts private so that neither Kun nor Jenna could hear them.
