Hello. Seeing as Otaku has members from all over the world, I though I'd make a thread about theme parks. They are very cool. I been to many of them, and I want to know where you have been, and what your favourite rides are. Near me, there is Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures. Thorpe Park has a 10 looping Rollercoaster, which I have ridden around 4 times, with Break, Tommy Vercetti, Zidane and Big Cajones. Other rides include X:No Way OUt, backwards pitch black roller coaster, Detonater, which is a big drop, and many more. That's my favourite local theme park. Alton Towers is very cool, but I haven't been there lately. It has a vertical rollercoaster, which rocks, supposedly. Now, my favourite theme park however, is a tough choice between Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure, mainly because they have the best rollercoaster there. I am going back to Florida soon, so I will be there riding them! Looking Forward to hearing about your theme parks! --A.B--

Man, I love Family Guy. It's so cool, that baby is so evil and funny. I find Malcolm in the Middle really funny too, especially this one episode, where one of the kids is in the car with some lady, and he keeps going 'A, B, C, D...A, B, C, D...'A, B, C, D...' just over and over again. That really had me laughing

The lighting effects were over the top, even for sunny Miami. I think on this game they need to have even more interaction, like swimming, and possibly a little climbing/crawling actions, but obviously in limited supply.

I find Combo hard to get. Instead of ending where he ends at the bottom of the stair case, jump and land another grind, and then hit the floor and Combo should be yours.

Ah, we didn't get to miss school over it! I kind of have a dislike for it though, after a man died in my local high street, by slipping over and cracking his head open. It's a really sad story, about such a great weather condition. If it's still snowing where anyone is now, be careful, it's too slippery sometimes. I fell over at the park, and nearly put my foot through a garage door. But instead, I just got hurt.

Well, I know you have Sega GT, that contains the option of a custom soundtrack, and so does THPS4. I hate stand out like a sore thumb, but I like the soundtrack, it gets me in the mood of the game, bright, colourful and japanese. I like the song, where this Japanese woman with a really cool voice goes 'Add Some Sugar, Add Some Salt etc'. That rocks. I odn't think I would use my custom soundtracks, sometimes, the audio makes the game. He being a bit of an A'hole then? I know how you feel, and I think it's great how you have translated your thoughts, into a great poem. 8/10, I really like it. One of the best pieces I have seen in a while.

O.k I will then. I was reminded of a clip yesterday, by somebody's random actions. Blindfolded Skateboarding. That was so god damn funny. They lined the skater (forgot who it was) up with a manhole, and he skated straight into it. Then, they made him drop in on a halfpipe with at least 3 feet of vertical wall. It speaks for itself. He got busted bad

Never heard of it. I like 'The Simpsons' and 'Sex and the City'. I can watch them all day, they are so good. Jackass is very cool as well, and this show called The Weekenders is another favourite. It's a cartoon, about these kids, from Friday to Sunday, and it's really funny to watch, becuase their local pizza place keeps changing themes! I recommend it, it's babyish, but wickid! And, I wish they would bring back the original Power Rangers. They kick booty.

Once, on the classic GTA1, my car disappeared while I was driving it, and I couldn't get out, and I was stuck in the invisible car. It was really funny, because I was just stuck, and it looked like I was running really fast. On GTA3 at Break's house, I shot the top of a car, while standing on the roof of another, and the car hovered in the area. I turned around and it was gone. I can't explain either of my experiences, but they were more funny that annoying.

Well, this is kind of my San Andreas predicted idea. S@bretooth, is that true? Heh, I might try loads of titles now! I think that GTA4 should be the same as GTA3, but based in the future, that would be very cool. Do you know where it would be based? I am going to try and hunt down some info, so I'll post with anything else I find! I agree with S@bretooth, down with the 'silly weapon suits'.

Writing Has anyone read the book Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?
Bing replied to Tommy Vercetti's topic in Creative Works
There is a movie? Our teacher told us there never was one? *am shocked* She probably just doesn't want me to beg for the T.V. again! I like the book, the descriptions are great, and the story plot is great, and was truly original at it's time. I find that many films have taken themes from this, i.e. Fight Club,
When it turns out that they are both the same guy
. It is a great book, and I am quite eager to watch the plot unfold! -
Yeh, the way Zak De La Rocha (Rage vocalist) make all of those problems fit into a poem was superb. Audioslave lyrics are still good, but I think with Cornell being the frontman, that's his positive input into all their records, becuase if it was exactly the same as Soundgarden, why not be called Soundgarden 2, or if it was exactly the same as Rage, why not Rage 2?

I think Raiden was a really bad character. Too shallow, too athletic for espionage and too poncy to be a war hero. Snake has something about him, that screams 'deprived war hero', and I am glad that you get to play with his character on Substance, especially the Snake Tales. I can't wait for it, and I hope it is exactly like Special Missions, becuase that was so challenging and entertaining

The screens look perfect, no glitches or sketchy outlines there! Though, haven't Microsoft bought Sega out, or some of the titles, and if so, is this game being released on both GCN and Xbox? I liked Sonic Adventure Two, a very impressive product,so I hope this game is as good!

Xtra Soft...this is a games console, not toilet roll! 'X-Rated' would be a funny name, but I don't think it would go down well. 'Xbox 2 : Reloaded' is a simple change, but a lot more effective.

I was told that the Fellowship had less action in it, and was more of an RPG, where as the Two Towers is a 'Dynasty Warriors' style smash 'em up! Devon, with you being the creator and all, do you think you could reply to us, and tell us a) what game, and b) a brief description of the game?
-
What is the actual gameplay like, does it play like Dynasty Warriors? When you just run into a big crowd, and mow them down, or is it more skillful than that? Where did oyu see the video, becuase I may have the disc with it on?

Gaming What X-Box game are you anticipating for the most in 2003 and why?

100 buttons...O_o;;; I don't have the attention span to learn that! I think the expected Sega releases look good, especially House of the Dead 3, because a gun has been released, for only £15, which is cheap! Mztik_Gohan10, one bit of advice, rent some games, and acquire a taste for different games, that are like Halo, becuase generally, games look, sound and play better on the 'Box -
I don't really know at the moment, but I would say some of the bits in the actual levels on Splinter Cell, like some of the manueveres you pull off, and they look professional. The Halo cutscenes I've seen so far, look pretty impressive as well!

That is some kind of conditiion, it was on T.V last night. Do you just fall asleep with out knowing it, because I am sure that was the symptoms. It could just be that you have a really boring lesson. Today, I didn't daydream or anything, except for when I stopped in P.E to rub my ankle, I kinda had some though then; until Break nearly capacitated me with a volleyball.

Nah, Zidane is no where near suicide yet. I think that we have talked about stuff, and it's made you feel better, so feel free to chat to me about it, and I won't mention anything to anyone. If not, the school councellors can be o.k, but it's a bit awkward. I know that you are very close to your mum, maybe you could talk to her. Well, I know one positive thing that happened in your life...~_^. I hope you get an uplift soon, if not, I will paln something for us! Get more rest, and forget about school this weekend, it will help!

This is quite a strong poem. I don't know if the message in it, is real life, or just a bad situation you thought up, but either way, it has touched me. Where did you get the inspiration from?

Wolverine. He kicks ***. I love his sideburns, they rock. He seems like he shouldn't be there, like he is an X-con, not and X-men ^_^;;;guess that's why I like him. Oh, his claws are cool, I bet they really hurt.

I love Rage, and I think Audioslave are great, but I miss one thing....the lyrics. Rage lyrics were very political and controversial, but these are more mellow, and to do with less serious issues. I must say, I prefer Rage to Audioslave. That don't stop them rocking though!
