1.
so what's the total?
The total is 1019. Had nothing better to do, it took maybe 3 minutes to calculate it on the calculator. That was a great read, just because it was somewhat funny. I really liked that last one. And as Sara said "some threads never die"
 2. Thank you so very much, that banner is awesome. I'm finally glad I got one. Very awesome banner once again.
 3. (This is more of a ballad like poem) Choirs Of Fallen Angels. And so shall sing the choir of the fallen. Angels of torment hark the liar of burden. Simply feeling the hate that is sullen And collaborate the pain of a constant sinning. Laughing, pulling, sinking, dying, Height is your way and never denying. The simple place that you love to scribe within. And the caress of the ebony lake Like stygian of waves sets destruction to a damned course. Defeated of and the crimson lace Soaked in blood convulsing to dis-force. Laughing in insanity the fallen angel's haste Like that of a corrupted song burning the heart. Of simple and distaste of the apocalypse, that is worse. Do not fear of yesterday for nothing is all right in the post. Burning present of the sewage mind contemplating the Night that waits for the chtulhu dawn of simple construct lowest. Taking my eye to a searing deceptive of the held As I Draw My Final Breath As I draw my final breath I hear the church walls hymn. Singing like a snow white dove upon death You lay your hand upon my caskets rim... I draw thine breath of mine A sensation that masses hear through time. A violin course rings like that for signs That love she feels, her hand so kind. And she knows I shall never rise Though it will close, my eyes. I feel the sadness swell to stains For you my blood will lay, Forever you in saddened pain. I know those tears wont die For many pillars line the years, Though I rest in the translucent sky An hour did fled, she kept, I reflected in golden mirrors. I draw the final breath upon my coffins lid Watching my flesh drawn hands weep Her name into sculptured frost. Then I seeped Into silence for all eternity that no consequences forbid. Hear Her Plea There?s no time to cry The fire still burns In spite of the lies. Those flesh wounds burn Like your preluded high, Your fragrant chant Slips through the night. Caressing a foreign shadow Pleasing to the tempest ear. Have no faith fir the storm comes now I hate the worm of seers. Way yard to hell it falls here, Yet this creature fills with potent tears. The church of towers rings the bells Of salvation. That shall never save Those monstrous choirs. Written from the quill, Spit out the language of the devil Those tongues that like a chutlhu howl. I dream of a world, a nymph on ice. You seem to scream by the draconis talons As the luscious nymph howls for life Another Armageddon shall rain on the desolate earth. Of halo That shatters to poisonous pieces of the bloodshed and strife. But why the shall she sweep over me? Like a machete lusting for a crimson fluid. The only thing that matters in this odiferous Earth. Then a blood-curdling scream preyed on congruent Air of pestilence and ashes. She lay on a lake Of silver like translucency powers of a pathos spewed. A war of demonic presences; they feud. Singing the hymn of thee Shall she ever see Me dead and free Her alive, in a seed Known as Earth. Hear her plea. The War, Caress of Swords Staring at the stars I fear they'll speak To me of their scars In the darkest peeks. Seeing him upon the mountains. God Ares. Hear the wars fright In a grotesque place. A screaming, searing plight For ones who need to be saved. He sees the warming decay. A wretched Sight. He laughed and scorned At the battle field Watched many lovers die For there fate was sealed. A dream of crimson and life. It was all defiled. I see that serpents crawl On the dead and dying. I wrap myself in thrall To keep away the crying Of the potent quill. I hear your blood shrieked call. I hear those stars. They call Telling me of life and all. I can not take this, so I fall From the caress of the sword, I dissolve. And I'll post the one I just recently placed in another thread anyways. The Doors Chattered Upon The Wind Three Rightful places 'neath the earth rack up the winds and screech of dirge Lunging against the bark of that bare grown trees Delicate up in the sky where incognito weeps. And I feel the grapes upon the tattered vineyard Broken like the clattering graveyard gates. Light breaks upon that subtle courtyard Knowing the contemplation of as skewed hate. And those broken doors in the field rattle Those doors that chatter upon the wind. Feeling the knotting in your grave side cradle And realizing the plight of hell's reign within. So speaketh the forest you doth here Lying to you in the swayest form of seer. Where the bones lie on the wayward An ebon dart of darkness pace it's slight of card. These all lie before you as the doors of 'neath. Writing in a passage to tend you and wreathe Your neck, yourself upon the darker of forests, The sullen of plains, The cradle of graveyards that lay within. And to quote the poet. "Nevermore" Shall I lay in my death bed, but always ?neath the earths floor... Well there you go tell me what you think.
 4. Ok I don't know anymore I still can't get anyone to make me a Nine Inch Nails banner so I'll make it even more simple. I want a NIN banner with a picture of Trent Reznor and I want the banner to be only in dark colors. With the text saying " Underneath it all we feel so small" I hope that can be done, and if you can't find the pictures. I shall look for them.
 5. Somehow I posted this in the wrong forum. But we all make mistakes sometimes right we are only human. So anyways here is the poem. The Doors Chattered Upon The Wind Three Rightful places 'neath the earth rack up the winds and screech of dirge Lunging against the bark of that bare grown trees Delicate up in the sky where incognito weeps. And I feel the grapes upon the tattered vineyard Broken like the clattering graveyard gates Light breaks upon that subtle courtyard Knowing the contemplation of as skewed hate And those broken doors in the field rattle Those doors that chatter upon the wind Feeling the knotting in your grave side cradle And realizing the plight of hell's reign within So speaketh the forest you doth here Lying to you in the swayest form of seer Where the bones lie on the wayward An ebon dart of darkness pace it's slight of card These all lie before you as the doors of 'neath Writing in a passage to tend you and wreathe Your neck, yourself upon the darker of forests The sullen of plains The cradle of graveyards that lay within And to quote the poet. 6. Cradle of Filth - This band is like a symphony of disastrous proportions crackling through the underground caverns ravaging through death metal lovers. Since the moment my ears were touched by there sound I was instantly liking their music. To bad there more like mainstream death metal. Like everyone I know, knows of this band. It?s my top favorite band as far as I?m concerned by any music standards. Dimmu Borgir - I think I like this band because of the way they blend sounds and have electronics and orchestra blended into the same song. I can?t even really say anything about this band, but they are great. Dark Tranquility - I like this particular band because of just the resonating voice that echoes from him is just awesome as for my opinion. I?m not great at giving reviews about bands as it anyways, so that?s just about it. As for the semi sort of tradition of this thread. Bands that deserve mentioning are. Six Feet Under, Nile, Soilwork, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, Pantera, Nothingface, Extol, As I Lay Dying, Poison The Well, Muderdolls, In Flames, Chimaira, Children of Bodom, Katatonia, From Autumn to Ashes, Shadows Fall, Theatres Des Vampires, Dark Funeral, Rob Zombie (deserves mention), Marilyn Manson (Deserves Mention), Lamb of God, Down, Type O Negative, Venom and about a thousand more. I know some of these have been mentioned, but they deserve to be mentioned again.

 8. I guess it's kind of like this for me, since I have the same problem at the core. So one random day I will be looking on Kazaa to download more new music and I'll find some. If it's obviously good then I'm going to be like "wow" So I really don't think about telling anyone else about the music because I'm to enthralled by it to care. (Most people don't like the music I listen to at my school anyways though.) Then the next day at school I'll be listening to it and I almost get protective over it. So I just won't let anyone listen to it. Personally the only person I let listen to my music is my girlfriend and that's really it. But then at the same time my mood can change automatically and I'll want everyone to listen to my music because I think it's "cool" I just hate setting trends, I don't like people following what I do I guess. So even then I don't let anybody listen to it. I'll let the band do the job of promoting themselves and I know there are more fans as well that would get other people listen to these bands anyways. I think though my attitude of setting trends is more for clothes then anything. Either way I'm getting over it slowly but surely.
 9.
Originally posted by DeathKnight You're funny. Anyway, Cradle of Filth is pretty good. I don't have any unique reasons for liking them, they are just a good band. Off of Damnation and a Day I like "An Enemy Led The Tempest" and "The Mordant Liquor of Tears". I need to purchase some of their older CDs, but I haven't gotten around to it. Hm. [*prefers Dimmu Borgir to CoF*]
If your looking for some older albums, try starting of with "Lovecraft and Witch Hearts" This album has many awesome songs to it. It would be worth the buy. It is also a double cd album. I really can't decide over which one I like better. Dimmu Borgir or CoF. But they are both great.
 10.
Originally posted by OlgaTheDwarf LOL... You're kidding, right? I really hope you are, because if your not, than that's just sad. It's like the equivalent of saying, "hey everyone, hell is an awesome place, let's all go." So needless to say, that has got to be the funniest thing I've read this past week. I really hate to start a theological debate in the entertainment forum, but even if you do like COF a lot, hell, being good, is quite impossible.
I'd like to remind people if you want to argue with OlgaTheDawrf. Your an idiot -_- Anyways moving on. I agree with what you stated, but he was only really reffering to how good the music was. Sadly it wasn't quiet what you should have said it XeEmO. But I get where your coming from. But seriously if you people want a refreshing sound, listen to Cradle of Filth. If your into stuff like Thrash Metal and such.
 11. Actually to truly understand them your going to need to search for there lyrics on the web. If you take the time to listen to the more often that is. That's if you do, it get's easier and easier to understand what they say. Then suddenly one day your thinking about all the music you listened to and at one point you thought that this band was incredibly loud and the vocals insane, but then it just doesn't seem like it. It was neat to feel that way though when I first realized it. Heh. Just try reading the lyrics with the songs. The only other problem with them is, is Danni Filth can sing incredibly fast which can also make it hard to understand.
 12.
Originally posted by James Goodwin I am editing your post so it is grammatically correct and error free.Yeah I like Cradle of Filth. They make a refreshing sound to all the Thrash and Death Metal I listen to. Have you heard of a band called Dimmu Borghir(I Hope I spelt it right) I think they are cool too. But I luv Slayer which have been rockin' for nearly 20 years.
First of all yes I do agree that is a nice change from what I had been listening too not long ago. The band is brilliant and has a great orchestra. Yes I have heard of Dimmu Borgir. You almost spelt it right just the "h" shouldn't have been there. They also are my favorite Black Metal band next to Cradle of Filth. I own only one of there CD's sadly. I love how each band has added orchestra into there music. Making it that much more trepid.
Originally posted by XeEmO My favorite song from Damnation and a Day would have to be "Damned In Any Language (A Plague On Words)". I also love their instrumental songs; they really seem to set the mood. Every album makes you feel as if you're entering the gates of hell (in a good way). I would definitely recommend to Cradle of Filth to any metal fan. If anyone out there is a metal fan and doesn't know about Cradle of Filth you should at least download some of the samples off of amazon.com. I love cradle of filth, but Damnation and a Day certainly isn't my favorite album by Cradle of Filth. While I don't think many Cradle of Filth fans would agree with me, I think Midian is their best album. Edit: I meant to say my favorite song was "Better To Reign In Hell", which is what the song I said above runs into.
I have to admit that is quiet an intro to introduce ?Better To Reign In Hell? and that song is a song I used to listen to a lot when I first decided I should buy the album. It was just really neat to say the least... heh. I do agree though Damnation and A Day wasn?t there best album. But I?m rooting for Cruelty and The Beast as there best album. But this new one is almost different in a few ways and like said in the article. Each song was written in Lucifer?s perspective. Just a neat CD and there was some noticeable changes in each track to there older CD?s. Just refreshing.
 13. Cradle of Filth.. a band that insinuates themselves as genre of metal all there own. By the charged cords of instrumental and vocals intertwined together to make a sound un-sufferable and at the same genius. They prove it with there latest album. Damnation and A Day.
In an "Order of the Dragon" newsletter (the "official" Cradle of Filth fan newsletter) earlier this year when this album was being recorded, Dani Filth mentioned he wanted this venture to have a concept with an ongoing story line linking the songs together, like "Cruelty and the Beast" or "Midian". "Damnation & A Day" accomplishes that goal by tapping into the Dante's Inferno theme. This is COF's first album for Epic, and it appears they tried to go "over the top" with. Instead of the classic COF fans have come to know and love, "Damnation and a Day" sounds like it should be the soundtrack of an old Hammer or Roger Corman film. Very polished; in parts, very orchestral and grandiose. The true majesty of Cradle of Filth's music has always been heavily on the guitars and keyboards, making a perfect backdrop for Dani's voice. Take the guitar riff from "Her Ghost in the Fog" from the "Midian" album, for instance - it sounds like a royal procession for Hellish or maybe Dark Elf hosts; the elegance of the instrumentation without losing heaviness is what makes this song stand out. On "Damnation and a Day", the keyboards take on a "church-like" flavor, and the guitars are all but drowned out in most places by the chorus, orchestra, and overproduction. But that's not to say this is a bad album. It's not. The lyrical content -- entirely penned by frontman Dani, as are all COF songs -- is interesting, indeed. Following the "Dante's Inferno" theme, a tale of the Battle of Heaven and the Fall of Angels, told from Lucifer's perspective. Doug Bradley ("Pinhead" from the "Hellraiser" movies) returns for a guest appearance like he did on the "Midian" album, providing spoken-word parts. In this case, he's quoting from "Dante's Inferno". New bassist Dave Pybus (formerly of Anathema) joins COF veterans: guitarist Paul Allender, keyboardist Martin Powell, and drummer Adrian Erlandsson. The aforementioned 40-piece orchestra and 32-piece choir that back the band were found in Budapest, Hungary. However, not even the choir could drown out the distinctive backing vocals of Sarah Jezebel Deva. Other highlights: The song "Doberman (Pharoah)" has a decidedly middle-eastern flavor but with harder, darker edge. This is one of the rare songs on the album where the guitar is featured over the rest of the music. "Mannequin" is most excellent! Very straight-ahead onslaught, probably the heaviest song on the album. This is the one where fans can really find the Cradle of Filth they were attracted to in the first place. And Sarah Jezebel Deva's voice really, Really shone on this one. "Thank God For The Suffering" has a very Romanian aura; conjuring the vampire image the band portrays onstage.
Now of course this type of genre Gothic Metal or Black Metal is defiantly not for everyone. But anyone that is lover of harder metal would be smart to check them out. If even for a small listen. Now I would have typed out an article myself but this one portrayed what I wanted to say nicely. Well the last part about the songs at least. Those three are great songs. Along with the heavy song "An Enemy Led The Tempest" and the fantastic deranged vocals for "Babalon A.D. (So Glad For The Madness)" I've been aching to see the video for "Babalon A.D. (So Glad For The Madness)" for some time now. If only to see what the director Marilyn Manson himself has come up with. Yes Marilyn Manson directed the music video for Cradle of Filth and from when I caught a glimpse of it looked awesome. To say the least. Danni Filth still awes me with his amazing range of vocals though sounding like a demon. It's enthralling at some points while listening to certain songs. I really don't think I'm over exaggerating when I say this all. This band holds it own quite well in the music industry and I'm pleased with this CD very, very much. As well my favorite songs currently though are Mannequin, Serpent Tongue, and Bablon A.D. (So Glad For The Madness) So my basic questions to the public. Who else listens to this band? And why do you like them? As well as what are your favorite songs from Damnation and A Day?(That is you've stopped to listen to the album or own it)

 20. Thank you to everyone here for commenting on my poems. It's actually quite surprising since I've never really got comments until now. Maybe it's just my skill has been improving finally which is great. Mitch, that also means a lot coming from you it really does and that was only around my 7th poem. I haven't wrote much as far as poetry goes. Anyways if you guys like this stuff here is another poem for your enjoyment which I just wrote. A Painted Light Of Blood Suffering. I see suffering around the corner Painting a light and malicious hoarding Panting a light, cascading and soaring In it comes darkness, bleeding, coaxing Me on in a famine blood depth Entering I love the sewer depth, and kept My mind from tasting the death The little sign that proves it can be arabesque And the blood that litters the wall It tells me lies and pleasure of great all So that it can have its way with me, makes me fall So that I do fall upon a common grave corridor and my hall Of dead body stench, blood suffering Such a contempt in the nothing-ning Savorless the flawless stuffing Full of crimson leather coughing Me into the entrails of my mind, barter on the fact of time Let me rot and slowly decompose letting my hands wrap and bind As though a cutting flow perceived thine eye on this swine And here I do call for thy wisdom, simple yet defined A painted light with a corner of blood suffering As malicious as a carnivorous wind lighting My tender flesh, upon the firing Of complexity of darkness and blood suffering, A painted light, another painting, always suffering.
 21. Now this piece of work I think just blows me away. You've outdone yourself I could never write anything like that. I would love to give a review or any criticism but I don?t know what to say at this moment. It works well as a song and a poem really. Yes as well the ending does work even though the lines are short in comparison to the others
 22. Ok this is my latest poem... but I think I'll make a new topic eventually once I Really start getting good... hopefully people will reply to this and DerelictDestiny... I will get around to giving you constructive crtisizm eventually. Schizophrenia Is Alone In The Dark Rest in peace Forthcoming the ashes Feeling with the sheath Contorting lashes Purposes of the bleeding So help me god I am in pain and seething I am only a master to the dog How tasty the crimson How tasty the blackness How tasty the leather How tasty my black heart is How I loath the darkness Yet I love the Stygian-est But wait the darkness (all the same, how repetitive) Isn?t it all seeping into us? Maybe my mind is separate Maybe I?m all messed up in it Because that is what I hate Me, Myself and I The one I didn?t hate was you You and You and You Only though that one is but me So dark and cold. Is what I am So bleak and I?m so sold To a life that I like to call A present state of hell Raped of my eyes Where has my soul been sold? Each eye that I had Lost each half Of my pure substance Till I was no more Raped and left like the devils whore A tainted touch that can never be cured A schizophrenic vision being poured Out of my fogging mind. I herd The Cattle of my devastated field The wolfs they had pleasure in the kill So full of hateful zeal And Yet in my mind, I am the wolf to my own society Though I know it?s my own delicacy; A Funny thing a delicacy known as purity In my heart that feeling isn?t securely Tightened like a bolt, flashing of lightening Completely being rendered of burning flesh, frightening Such to the point heightening A piece of marble blood drips down my chest I lust to have that blood... that drips down my chest So that I will drain myself of the taste That was tangible In my once before suppressed Case of un-corporeal-ality-less Yet each mind speaks to me in it?s own way One through my touch One through my sight One from a poisonous knife And they like to let it all cascade from me Pretending to be me... a facade So that I can see everyone that stands in my way And I know I hate the world that stands this day So I stay in the blinding, flashing darkness Where I always seem to fade... into myself And away...
 23. Excuse me? That was quite a rude post. First of all I'm not a depressed person. Though I was depressed last night that is none of your business. I'm actually quite content with my life as it is now. I even have a girl friend that I would do anything for and she'd do the same, we've been together for 2 years now. I'm not an anti-social person either because no matter where I go I'm always talking to someone. My actual friend count is pretty high as well, though I don?t want to brag. I do not cut myself... in fact I'm highly against it. I am because I've seen why people do it and it's for the stupidest reasons I've ever seen. Hell I even help other people with there problems. Anyone that does cut themselves I really don't have any sympathy for because I did offer to help them in the begining anyways. And I don't seek for any type of attention, because it doesn't matter that much to me if I get attention or not. I don't need attention to feel needed. Now kindly get the fuck out of my thread. P.S. I?m sorry, that may have been inappropriate to this thread if a mod reads it. But I feel obligated to kick this person out for being so rude; I may not have any better reason, but that was uncalled for. If a word will harm him so much as to take more rebellious action against me he should have never said anything in the first place. Please stop stereotyping people as well, I just write well when it comes to those types of subjects. EDIT: On a second glance at his user name, it says he is banned. But I will leave this up here anyways, so hopefully people won't do the same thing. I would also like to point out that I had taken the un-censored areas for granted by doing that and I encourage other people to NOT follow what I have done.

Plucked from a vine I lye down For a death Of great prospect Yet of none that comes to mind Simple series lined in architecture The architecture of life Swamped of decay and cyanide A poison the seeps through My eyes of burning blood Caress of the deadly flood The touch of a great wounded bud The flow of life that was so Never meant to be under towed Lays down for me For me and nothing else but me Death Death Death Death Death is thy support Of another failed architecture Die, short From the fountain of life My hand could reach But I could not feel The brush of my life Against the searing wheel More tears well up in my eyes As I sit in the corner waiting For the acceptance of the sword A ritual suicide concealed to hide Plucked from a vine There I lay For a death that sat in bay Death himself waited For the prospect of The weeping life Never crossed His simple mind In retrospect this I do not lie. Just thought I might give a heads up to others who haven't heard about this new CD coming out... whenever it actually does
