Great sign-ups so far, guys :). Thanks so much for putting detail and effort into them. I haven't made decisions yet on whether or not I will be making cuts, but I have a few comments either way. (I don't expect you to, like, extensively re-edit or anything, I'd just like a few things clarified, so if you do want to add to your signup, I wouldn't expect any more than a couple sentences.) [strike]Ohkami: It's not quite clear to me whether or not Meiko's parents ever told her about the prophecy, though I think you implied they didn't. Anyway, if Meiko doesn't know about the prophecy, what is her motivation for training so much? What is her purpose for all of the strength and power she's developing? I don't need her entire psyche mapped out or anything, I'm just a little curious.[/strike] Got your PM, thanks :). [strike]Crucifix: It would be nice if you could let us know a little more of what the "priesthood" entails, since we're all making up this world anyway :p. I mean, is the priesthood well-known and well-respected throughout the kingdom, or is it just a local religion? And is Imric actually inducted into the priesthood yet? What's the normal age for induction? Sorry to put this on you, but as it's a big part of your character it's probably most important for him.[/strike] Sounds great, thanks :). [strike]Domon and dMage: I'd also like to explicitly know if your characters know about the prophecy or not.[/strike] Thanks! Dragonblood: Your character is a little ... too mysterious, if you understand what I mean. The existence of both the dragon and the wolf seems a little bit excessive. Also, there are a few other signups featuring the "guy who's been trained since he was born" so if you wished to change your approach it might be a good idea. If I didn't mention you, your signup looks fine to me :). Uh, yeah, that ended up being longer than I intended. Editing is optional, and if you do choose to do so, I wouldn't expect anything longer than a couple of sentences. If you edit, don't notify me in here (one of my Adventure Inn pet peeves ...), I'll notice it, I promise. Or if you want to be very sure I notice, you can PM me. I'll be back later for my own sign-up and stuff :D.

Hm, you guys have brought up a lot of interesting points, thanks for all of your input. I guess my preference for RPGs is always that they have some definite ending. To me, it just seems a little pointless if everyone's not heading toward some sort of finish. It never occurred to me (oddly enough) that some people actually might not mind if their RPG never finished ... I really like conclusions. So it bothers me sometimes when the creator isn't taking quite as firm a hand with the reins (that was a metaphor gone bad ...) as I think s/he could. It often gets to a point where I'm thinking, "Oh, it's getting close to a major turning point in the plot, but none of us are quite sure of what should happen next, and one of us needs to make a decision." I think those decisions should be made by the creator if no one else has stepped up. I know that personally, in RPGs where I'm only a participant, I sometimes worry about putting in major plot twists because I'm afraid it will interfere with what the creator originally had planned. As for when I'm creator of the RPG ... well, I've always sort of had a skeleton idea planned out from start to finish, but most of mine haven't made it far past "start" so I don't know how it'd work out yet :p.

Hello RPers, It would be much appreciated if you upped your effort and post quality in the Adventure Square a bit. A few of the posts, the first three or four especially, are shorter and have less detail than is usually considered standard here. Every post in an RPG should consist of at least a "solid paragraph," which is of course not a standard definition, but means more than just a couple of sentences. You may wish to read more on post expectations in this sticky thread, which is required reading for all Adventure Square posters. If you need more things to write about, you may want to try adding more details to your posts -- the environment you're in, what you were doing before you met someone, etc. You may also wish to look at other RPGs in the forum to find out a little more of what's generally expected here. Sorry to interrupt :). Thanks, and welcome to OB. --terra

(After writing the post, I found it was a little rambly, so if you want the one-line summary, skip to the end.) I was wondering what the happy (hopefully) citizens of the Adventure [strike]Arena[/strike] Square thought about how much the creator should be involved in moving the plot along. My, that was a convoluted sentence. Anyway, my point is. In some RPGs the creator of the game has almost complete control over the plot. A good example of this is Kill Adam, in which James lets the members know exactly who is posting and most of what's occurring. Obviously he still gives them a good amount of artistic freedom in how whatever happens happens, and the tone of their post and whatnot, but he exerts a good amount of control over the plot. This may happen in other RPGs too in a less blatant way, like the creator moving the plot along its way without quite stating it in the way the chapters of Kill Adam are set up. However, in my experience this doesn't work quite as well and can end up with a lot of confusion among the players, who don't exactly know what's going on. But in still another category of RPG, the creator of the RPG has almost no prior idea of what the storyline will be, and allows the game to just carry on in whatever fashion it desires. My question is, which method do you prefer? And which do you think is best? I ask this mostly because of an RPG I have in [strike]Recruitment[/strike] the Inn right now, Prophecy. I've left it really open for now, and I'm not sure which way to go about it ... I do have a storyline involving all of the characters in mind, but perhaps it would be better to let members do whatever they want as long as we're all bearing the same premise in mind. So if anyone who signed up for Prophecy wants to let me know what their opinion is on which route they'd rather go, they should also feel free to let me know :) (by PM or in here, whichever). In conclusion: How much do you think the creator of the RPG should be involved in moving along its storyline?

Yeah ... neither of my grandmothers are like that. Actually both of my grandmothers have a really advanced form of Alzheimer's so they don't even recognize my parents anymore, let alone me. Which is pretty sad in a different way. But I do know the experience of having people talking about things that are really none of their business. It's pretty bad ... my parents are really good about letting me live my life however I want, it's some of their friends that get annoying sometime. And once even someone at the cash register asked me what college I went to and what major I was, and when I told her I hadn't decided on a major yet and that there wasn't really any pressure to do it, she tsked and said very negatively, "Things sure have changed since I was in school." Oh shut up! I suppose in the end that wasn't really relevant to your grandmother ... but in my opinion, like others have said, you just mostly have to ignore those people who are negative about your lives and your choices. Because it's still your life and your choice in the end, so if you're enjoying yourself except for those moments you have to talk to them, who cares what they say?

Sign Up Anime Stereotype High School: Enrolment [PG-13]
terra replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
Character Name: Mima Miste Anime Stereotype: The mysterious girl who seems to appear and disappear at will. Age:18 Gender: female Year: junior Appearance: Slim, beautiful, but nothing striking about her appearance that makes her stand out. Of average height, with light gray hair, brown eyes, usually appears in a trademark gray-blue dress. Alignment: neutral Extra Subjects: - Creative Writing - Magic Casting - Transformation Accommodation: Hard to say, as it's generally difficult for people to remember if they've seen her or not. But in truth she has a room on campus. Her parents live nearby and have kept her room as well, so she goes home to visit them fairly often. Bio: Mima is hard to get a handle on. Even her parents think so, mostly because from the time she was able to crawl, she would seem to practically disappear from wherever they placed her. And her first words weren't words, it was a complete sentence: "You will find it where you last look." This was from behind them, when they were, of course, looking for her. Growing up didn't change Mima much in that aspect; she'd always seem to disappear when you least expect it, and turn up when you'd forgotten all about her. And she hardly ever talked like a normal person, she'd sort of give a couple of lines that seemed to contain some hidden meaning, then disappear again. Nobody was ever really able to figure out what she said. If in fact she did ever say anything of import, it was always masked in too much complexity to be understood by anybody. Eventually Mima began disappearing from home for weeks at a time. Whenever she returned, though, her parents were somehow never able to ask her where she was all that time, and when they did manage it, she would just turn her head toward them, give them an odd look, and they would forget all about it. Finally, when they received her first report card, her parents figured out that she had enrolled at the Academy, and they were somewhat relieved, especially as she was doing quite well. Mima herself doesn't quite understand what she does, and especially not what she says, but it seems like the right thing to do to her. She likes to go unnoticed, and it's usually quite easy to do so in the raucous halls of Tokyo Academy, so that many students don't even know of her existence though she's been there three years. She sees and hears many things that escape others, and sometimes gets the vague feeling that she is the key that would provide all the answers to all the questions in life, but that's never been capitalized on. Special Powers/Abilities: As implied above, Mima's very good at going unnoticed. She never actually becomes invisible (she's pretty sure, at least), but most people tend not to see her slip by. Except that damn janitor at times. Mima also has the ability to give the impression that she knows everything and has all the answers, which often helps during class; teachers call on her rather infrequently because they just assume she knows what she's doing. But she often doesn't. Sworn Enemy: Principal Okari, though she has no idea why, and he doesn't know it. -
I really wasn't a huge fan of The Bourne Identity, so I haven't gone to see Supremacy yet and I probably won't (unless, like with Spider-man 2, someone forces me to, which is always a high possibility knowing my cruel friends). Anyway, for some reason none of it just struck me as all that original, nothing I hadn't really seen before. It's been a while since I've seen the movie so maybe my perception of it is distorted, but I certainly wasn't that impressed right afterwards and I was actually pretty surprised when I heard it did well enough to warrant a sequel.
-
When I first heard the name of the movie, I was like, "Oh, this is going to suck so bad," but after watching the previews, I'm so psyched to see this movie it's not even funny. I'm sad I missed the sneak preview, but I really hope to watch it this week ... which also may not pan out. But I'm really excited. What did it for me (in the preview) was when they're like "Featuring that Asian guy from American Pie ... and that Indian guy from Van Wilder." I also loved Van Wilder so I have high hopes :P (literally? ahaha.)

What would your life be like if you were supposed to be a hero? In the ancient kingdom of Hevan-mei, fortune-telling is a venerable craft. Fortune tellers are not common, but when they are found they are skilled and wise, well-learned in their profession, and above all, accurate. Predictions may range from the gender of a child to the future onset of a natural disaster to the exact date someone will die. The predictions themselves are unpredictable, but if you see a fortune teller, you will learn of something that lies in your future, whether big or small. In the first decade of King Navare?s reign, a very strange thing happened. A number of expecting mothers sought their fortunes from separate fortune tellers across the kingdom, and they were told the following: ?Your child will grow up to be a hero of our time, when it is most needed.? Fortunes of that kind had never been heard before in Hevan-mei, and the fortune tellers themselves do not explain what they see. The expecting parents, stunned, proud, or horrified, stumbled out of the room, left to figure out how to proceed by themselves. As time progressed, the parents watched their children closely, waiting for signs of this inherent heroism that was predicted. But there was nothing in particular that singled these children out; no abilities beyond what might be expected, no miraculous saving of the village with a magical burp. The children seemed, for the most part, normal. But the parents always knew, always remembered the prophecy that hung over those children, that they were destined to be heroes. It is now two decades later. And today, in year 27 of King Navare?s reign, heroes are most needed. A little background on Hevan-mei: Think medieval times, with a little less filth. Throw in a little fantasy, some magic, swordplay, mythical creatures, a kindhearted king who?s a bit cowardly but means well, knights, an agricultural society, and you?ve pretty much got the picture. No, honestly, I don?t have the world fleshed out that clearly in my head, so a lot of things will fly ? if I disapprove, I?ll let you know. However, though supernatural stuff exists in this world, your characters still seem to be your pretty much average humans. Don?t go too crazy with the skills and the powers ? though your character?s supposedly a hero, most of them probably haven?t done anything very heroic yet. Signup: Name: Gender: Age: (between 17 and 27) Appearance: Skills: (can include supernatural things, but not in excess) Personality: Biography: Go wild with your biography; who knows what your parents (or possibly just your mother) thought when she heard the prophecy? Some might have told their children all about the prophecy and sent them to the king?s royal academy, causing them to grow up as snobs extraordinaire; some might have hoped that it would never come to pass and raised their children completely normally. Detail is much appreciated.

Hi Drizzt Do'urden, I'm not sure about your ultimate story idea, but you were right about one thing -- this is certainly the wrong place to post this. The Recruitment forum is currently for the planning of actual RPGs only, not the planning of collaborative writing. The thread might possibly fly in the Literature forum, but I'm not even sure this would belong there. If you wanted to start a thread in there I would PM the mod, Lady Asphyxia, first. In general, if you ever want to post something but aren't sure where it would go, try PMing a mod first. In the end, probably the most appropriate place for this would be your signature. To that end, I'm closing this thread. Welcome to OB :). --terra

Hi all, Please read the rules listed in the stickies at the top of the forum. These state that RPGs at OtakuBoards can only be started in the Recruitment forum, with a a sign-up sheet and a backstory. Once members have signed up, the beginning of the RPG can then move it to this forum, the Adventure Arena. Also, you may want to note that the first post in this thread was in March, a fairly long time ago. While there's no rule against bringing back lagging RPGs, it may imply the creator might have lost interest in the RPG. Please read or re-read the stickies, as well as look at other RPGs and Recruitment threads for examples of the protocol to follow, before beginning another RPG. This thread will be closed. Feel free to PM myself or Arcadia if you need any clarification. Thanks, --terra

Wow, do I hate this computer and the backspace key. *Goes about re-replying ...* Signup: Professor Adrienne Marshall had an ability to reduce any student to a petrified, slobbing mess. It was more of an in-born talent, really, a remarkable stare that expressed just-barely-contained seething rage through a pair of golden-brown eyes, boring into a student who suddenly knew the real meaning of fear as he cowered and desperately tried to remember the answer she was looking for. She taught freshman-level psychology at GU (General University), and she had the remarkable class attendance rate of 90%. This was in contrast to the typical freshman-level psych attendance of 50%. Students were afraid to go to class and face those eyes, but they were more afraid of not going. After all, the rumor was that if you showed up to a Professor Marshall final and she didn't recognize you from class, one scathing look from her would actually cause your exam paper to physically ignite, leaving you shivering in fear, probably sitting in your own pee from a sudden loss of bladder control, with a mass of ashes that you'd hand in for your F. Her students thought the strangest thing about her was that, out of range of those eyes at least, she didn't look intimidating. In fact, you might even think she was hot, for a 30-something at least. She was always impeccably and fashionably dressed, short-ish skirts, almost daringly low-cut blouses that were masked in modesty by a jacket, stockings, heels. On campus she wore her hair back in a severe bun, and had a pair of stern black-rimmed glasses that somehow served to perfectly frame those famous looks of hers. But the actual strangest thing about her was her life after General University shut down for the evening. Without going into too much detail, let's just say the glasses came off, the hair came down, and she spent a good deal of time meeting up with strangers she'd met online and performing all sorts of sexually explicit acts with them. ... Too much information? Juron, I have to agree that your sign-up isn't quite what I expected, though it's obviously good. I'm just not planning to take this overly seriously, and since I think 5 people would be too many for a battle, I hope it's okay if I don't ask you to participate. Arbitrarily, the teams will be: Balmon as Yu Kan Kook and terra as Adrienne Marshall versus Wondershot as Tae-Won Hwang and Bean as Johnny Bravo Because I like things to have a somewhat real storyline, even ridiculous battles set in non-specific places with no real purpose, I'm going to start off (with no particular genre). I made up a history. Hopefully it doesn't offend anyone for whatever reason. Please also remember that even though we're switching genres, I do want some vague continuity of storyline. :D ---------------------------------- Adrienne passed a hand through her hair idly, waiting for Kook. They'd met almost ten years ago now, and he was probably the only person in her current list of acquaintances she'd really trust to accompany her while she waited to meet the sender of a threatening letter. Just as she was beginning to get slightly worried that she would have to take on this threatening-letter-sender alone, Kook rounded the corner, looking typically bemused. "Hey," she said, and almost before the word fell out of her mouth, two men rounded the other corner. "So it's you," one of them, the silly-looking Asian lugging, for some reason, a guitar, said in what sounded like an attempt at a threatening voice. Adrienne resisted a small smile. He didn't know what threatening voice meant until she'd given hers a shot. From his not-so-friendly greeting Adrienne assumed this was the one who had some beef with her for whatever reason, and she inclined her head slightly. "So it's me," she agreed, not quite affable, but not quite icy, either. She glanced over at the other guy indifferently, probably a friend of his for support, and then glanced over again, her eyes widened slightly. He was hot. And, if possible, more apish-looking than his friend. From the looks of things, he'd noticed her too, and he stuck his hand out. A little dazed, Adrienne took it. "I'm Johnny Bravo, and this is my friend Tae-Won," he said, his voice suave and smooth. Adrienne nodded, a slow smile spreading over her face, but the other guy's cutting in and batting their hands apart brought her back to the present. "Do you know ..." Tae-Won started slowly, "... what horrible offense you've committed?" Adrienne and Kook exchanged glances. "Not particularly," she said coolly. "A couple weeks ago," Tae-Won said, then paused. It sounded kind of like he was hyperventilating. "You met with a man ... named ... Hae-Can?" Adrienne furrowed her eyebrows slightly. Now that he mentioned it, she did remember meeting with another Asian guy. Who looked sort of like this one. "Could've been." "He was ..." Tae-Won said, and his voice did have a tinge of real-sounding anger in it, "the drummer ... of my band!! And now ... because of you ... he won't play! He says sex is better!" This time it was Adrienne and Johnny Bravo who exchanged glances, and they both smirked. "The band is my life!" Tae-Won shrieked. He seemed to be on the verge of exploding. "My life! It's ruined, because of you, you she-devil! You must pay!" And almost before Adrienne had registered his words, Tae-Won was hurtling towards her, itching for a fight. Anyone want a little stress relief? Oh, I do. So I'd like a rather non-serious spar with the rules that were employed in this thread. Basically, each post is in a different genre chosen by the previous poster, but a sort of general overarching storyline was still established (well, sort of, at least). Uh, yeah. I'll be back later if anyone feels like responding.

I know this was a while ago, but all the tampons I have ever bought have had a sheet of instructions inside them. With graphic diagrams and all. In fact, I bought a box of tampons yesterday and there were instructions inside! Though I'm sure nobody needed to know that. Some girls just find tampons less comfortable than other people. In my experience that's generally been because they're just less comfortable about inserting them. Also, if you find them really uncomfortable, you may have put it in wrong
(it might not be far in enough)
. *shudder* I don't usually post about these things on the Internet. Anyway ... bras ... the first time I told my mom I wanted a bra she was kind of like, "Why?" But she was still good about going with me to buy them :p. Yeah, it was incredibly embarrassing to go buy bras with my mom, but I think it'd have been more embarrassing to have to buy my first bra by myself at about 12 years old (when to be honest I probably didn't need one anyway). Oh, and as for having sex for the first time, both the bleeding and the pain totally depend on the person. In fact, some girls break their hymen (which causes the blood) when they insert a tampon, so you may not bleed. Some girls' hymens never break. Some girls' hymens don't hurt when they break, and some girls' do. So yeah. One of those things you just have to figure out when it happens.

Hi Sesshomuru, Plans for RPGs that appear in the Recruitment forum should contain more than simply a sign-up sheet, but also a description of what your RPG will entail. Until your post includes a detailed paragraph on the backstory to your RPG, your Recruitment is incomplete. For a little more detail on this, please refer to the stickies at the top of the forum, or look at other Recruitment threads for examples. Please edit your first post with a backstory to the RPG, or this thread will have to be closed. Thanks, and welcome to OB :). --terra

I learned about periods and sex from my mom. We laughed about it, though, mostly because I thought it was so disgusting at the time. I learned to use tampons from the instructions in the box. They seemed pretty clear to me. I'm a girl, and I'm grossed out just typing that. :P

Cerra concentrated on the steady pounding of her feet instead of the strain in her chest as she began to circle Mayern for the third time. She still couldn't believe she had to call this place her hometown -- it was hardly even a town if you could run its perimeter in less than half an hour. No wonder she hadn't been home in over five years ... How many had it been? Seven, perhaps, and the town had certainly grown. But not anywhere near the size of an Esrian city, an urban life she had come to know and fit much more comfortably into than the life her parents had tried to give her. Their intentions were good, she knew, as she slowed her pace slightly to make sure she could go the distance. They merely wanted a peaceful existence for their family, as peaceful as this day and age could offer. But that wasn't what Cerra had wanted. That was why they'd had to let her go. Looking up from the path in front of her, Cerra recognized the silhouette of her brother ahead and slowed further to a walk. "Always working, huh, Cerra," he said as she neared him. "Have to stay in shape, don't I?" she smiled back at him, as he fell into step beside her. She glanced over at Beren, wondering just who he was. Her brother, certainly, but she had left when he was just beginning to learn how to walk and talk and ... do things. He was only a few inches shorter than her now, and she could tell already he was going to be good-looking, have the pick of any of the girls in town, as if his status as the mayor's son hadn't already assured that. Tomorrow was his thirteenth birthday, the reason Cerra had finally come home. "Do you enjoy life in the army?" Beren asked her. "Absolutely," Cerra replied automatically. "It's the only way the Esrians will ever be able to restore the Earth to the state it should be. Look around us ... We can change all this." "I didn't ask if it was a good cause or not," her brother said quietly. "I asked if you enjoy it there." Cerra thought about her answer for only a moment longer than the previous one. "Yes," she said softly. "I couldn't imagine it any other way." She paused. In taking her chance to escape this town when Beren was born, perhaps she had taken a chance away from him. "Do you ..." "I couldn't imagine it any other way either," Beren answered her question before it was asked. "I don't think I could ever kill another living thing." Cerra breathed a small sigh of relief. "That's not your part to play," she said. "You take care of the regrowth of our people. I'll take care of the killing."

Hi Aurora, The premise of having an RPG that features characters from any anime is fine. However, RPGs in the Recruitment forum are required to have a rather detailed plot behind them, so that members know what direction the RPG will be headed in. To that end, you should add to your first post with a description of the backstory you have planned for the RPG; are they going on some sort of adventure or quest? with what purpose? etc. If you need more information, check the stickies at the top of the forum or look at other Recruitments for examples. Also, to make things easier for members who wish to sign up, you may or may not want to create a sign-up sheet (Name, Biography, Description, etc.) for people to fill out. This will make signups more uniform and easy to read. The sign-up sheet is not exactly required as long as you have some way for people to sign up, though; it's just a recommendation. Welcome to OB. --terra

Hi Mp3kid2000, RPGs in the Adventure Arena work a bit differently from how they do on most online forums. They should begin in the Recruitment arena, where you can begin your own RPG and create a signup sheet or sign up for other RPGs. Since your RPG doesn't fit with the requirements, I'm closing it. For more details, please read the stickies at the top of the forum or look at other threads in the Recruitment arena for examples. Feel free to PM me or Arcadia with questions. Thanks, --terra

Hi CB Kyra, The procedures and rules of the Adventure Arena, which is indeed a role-play section of OtakuBoards, are in the stickies at the top of the forum. Feel free to read through them before posting here again, as hopefully they explain how this all works in enough detail for you. (Some of the other forums have these stickies explaining procedures for that specific section as well, so you should always read them.) Non-RPG threads and posts are highly discouraged within the Adventure Arena, though, so please avoid posting questions and threads like this in the future. I'm closing this thread, but if you have any more questions, just PM me or Arcadia. In general, the place to post questions would be the Suggestions & Feedback Forum, located within The Prefecture. Welcome to OB. --terra

I picked up guitar sometime in high school ... maybe four or five years ago now. I'm not that great at it, not in the least because these days I leave it at home and don't even to bring it to college because I hardly ever play. Haha, I'm horrible enough that I don't even remember the brand of guitar I have, though I know it's an acoustic :P. I taught myself like most people seem to have ... I've been playing music, er, practically since I was born so at least I got some of the basics down. I have no idea how many songs I've written. Plenty, almost all of them crap. A lot of them were written on the piano as well (my first and best instrument). Actually I used to, heh, be in a band and I wrote half of the songs on a CD that we made for ourselves and our friends. Ah, that brings back some memories. Man. Anyway, yeah, guitar's a great instrument.

Hi Mindless_Child, You're in the right area, but not quite -- RPG signups go in the Recruitment sub-forum, and the actual RPG thread itself goes into the one you posted in, the Adventure Arena proper. I've moved this thread for you, but just so you know in the future. Also, RPGs should have a pretty extensive backstory of at least a couple of paragraphs, and definitely more than a few sentences. The stickies at the top of the forum have more information on this, so you may want to read them for an idea of what's required in a Recruitment thread. Please add to your backstory in order to up your chances of having a successful RPG. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me or Arcadia. Welcome to OB :). --terra

Anime Chrono Trigger OVA (Not the PSX cutscenes, mind you!)
terra replied to Turkey's topic in Otaku Central
Haha, oh yeah, man, I downloaded and saw this, it's coming back to me now. I had no idea what it was going to be but I'm a big enough fan of Chrono Trigger that I was like, "Eh, it's only 100 megs, it has to do with the Trigger, I'm sure it'll be worth it." Biggest mistake of my life. Okay, that was some exaggeration. It really was so completely random, and since I didn't expect it to be about the monsters I kept kind of being like, "When are Crono and them going to show up?" Finally with a couple minutes left I thought, "I don't think they're coming ..." It was funny in its own messed-up, random way, but I certainly didn't think it was a high-quality piece of animation or even a very good story. From what I remember, at least, that was a while ago, when I first discovered BitTorrent ... Ah, those screenshots bring back the memories. Probably one of the more random pieces of animation I've ever watched, hehe. -
I used to love Nick at Nite as a kid. I distinctly remember staying up until midnight or 1AM when I was maybe 12 years old to watch Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke. Now I think that's kind of strange ... I never watch them anymore, but I definitely have a strange nostalgia for them. Other than that, I watched all those ... SNICK shows, was that what it was called? Those really dumb Friday or Saturday night shows on Nickelodeon, like Pete and Pete and ... I don't even remember any of them. Not Are You Afraid of the Dark? though, because I don't like scary stories.

There are a few places I think a tattoo would be all right (though I still don't think I'll ever get one), and the foot is one of them. But you should keep in mind how very painful a foot tattoo is to get ... because the skin there is so thin and all. The good thing about there is that it probably won't expand/contract very much, since your feet don't really change size. We were just talking about foot tattoos today. The thought of getting one actually makes me physically cringe ... but I do think it would be cool :P. Oh, by the way, the reason I chose to get a tongue/navel piercing is because they're hidden. I like the idea of having hidden surprises ... er, yeah. That's why I think a foot tattoo or lower back tattoo would be the best places to get one, too ... I don't usually like things that are obvious just from looking at someone.
