Aw, nuts!! Ain't it always the way? I came back here to say I wanna replace my Solemn Wishes cards with two other traps, but now I forget which traps I wanted to replace them with! >_< Anyway, thanks you guys. I do have a Morphing Jar #2, but I dunno if it's gonna help me. I could give it a try though...
-
Awesome deck!!! I give it a solid ten. Okay, I said I was gonna do this, now I'm gonna do it. A Trample Deck. (Feel free to give me feedback; it also includes a few cards that haven't come out yet, but I think they will soon) Monsters (17): Non-Tribute: x3 Giant Orc x2 Goblin Attack Force x3 Mad Sword Beast x3 Spear Dragon x2 Ryu-Kishin Clown x1 Cyber Jar x1 Yata-Garasu Monsters (Tribute): x2 Airknight Parshath Magic/Spells (15): x1 Monster Reborn x1 Change of Heart x1 Raigeki x1 Dark Hole x1 Harpies Feather Duster x1 Pot of Greed x1 Graceful Charity x2 Gaia Power x3 Block Attack x2 Book of Moon x1 Big Bang Shot Traps (6): x1 Imperial Order x3 Waboku x2 Solemn Wishes x1 Ring of Destruction x1 Barrel Behind the Door Total cards: 40 (I think)

Awesome! I wanna make a Trample deck next, and as soon as I can, I'll make a list of the cards that might be needed in it. So stay tuned!

I see... Thanks, you guys. I would like to use Wall Shadow to see if my strategies with it work. I don't know if I'm gonna pull it off though, but it can't hurt to try.
-
Here's something I wanna ask, but I dunno if I'm gonna get an answer cause it's kinda silly. This concerns Wall Shadow. Let's just say I wanna summon it, but the card Magical Labyrinth says that you can only Special Summon Wall Shadow from your Deck. It doesn't say anything about your hand. What would I do if I drew it, but couldn't summon it?
Originally posted by DeathBug Yes, it is, although I don't see the point to it, as you would be giving your opponent 1000x life points every other turn.
Eye of Truth is actually useful in a Bad Reaction to Simochi deck. And as for the Dark Sanctuary question, Dark Sanctuary hasn't come out in English yet, so we don't yet know what the rulings for it will be. I'm guessing that it'll be very similar to how it was played on the show.

That's a very good deck; my only advise is to ditch one of your Summoned Skulls for a Dark Ruler Ha Des, to avoid certain effect monsters. But I like it; I give it an 8 out of 10!
-
Well, it's a very interesting-looking deck. All I'd say is that there may be too many traps, and too many Tribute monsters. As much as I love Mystical Knight Jackal, he's probably too hard to summon unless you Special Summon him. I noticed you have a lot of good Jars and Gravekeepers, but I don't see where Dragon Seeker comes in. Or Shadow Ghoul, for that matter. Monsters like them (and the Gravekeepers included) need their own decks that center around them and their effects. It's a nice strategy, but my main complaint are the Tribute monsters. The Fusion one, however, might work; you just have to get more Gazelles and Berfomets. And since you're handling them, you might as well squeeze Giant Rat in there too. I'd rate it as a 5 out of 10; 1 being the weakest, 10 being the strongest. I hope I was fair.

Okay, I said I was gonna do this, now I'm gonna do it: A Wall Shadow Deck. Monsters (Non-Tribute): x1 Yata-Garasu x3 Man-Eater Bug/Yomi Ship x3 Giant Rat x1 Witch of the Black forest x1 Sangan x3 (Any Level 4 monster with a defense of 2000) x2 Jirai Gumo Monsters (Tribute): x3 Labyrinth Wall Monster (Special Summon): x1 Wall Shadow Total Monsters: 18 Magic/Spells: x1 Monster Reborn x1 Change of Heart x1 Snatch Steal x1 Raigeki x1 Harpies Feather Duster x2 Magical Labyrinth x2 Sheild and Sword Total Magic/Spells: 9 Traps: x2 Waboku x1 7 Tools of The Bandit x1 Curse of Royal x1 Magic Jammer Total Traps: 5 Total Cards: 32?? ...Okay, okay. This deck needs a lot of work! I'd probably throw in direct-sttack things in there, mostly Magic/Spell cards. Do you think anybody could help me here, with this deck? I'd appreciate it.
-
I apologize about Giga Tech Wolf; it's not a Tribute monster. And as for dark decks, they're loads of fun. There's the obvious fiend theme you can go with (Dark Ruler Ha Des, Twin Headed Wolf, etc.), and you can try to make a good Gravekeeper's deck, or dark spellcaster deck... take your pick. Right now, I'm working on constructing a Wall Shadow deck. I'll have a list of cards I think I'll need for it later. Then you guys can rate/edit it.

It's a pretty good dragon deck, but there are just too many Tribute Monsters (Summoned Skull, Dark Magician, Giga Tech Wolf). Plus, some of those cards seem like they don't needto be played anymore, because their usefulness is just outdated. The ones I'm talking about are: -Dragon Piper -Wall of Illusion -Remove Trap -Dark Energy -Gravedigger Goul Other things to point out: You really shouldn't have the Labyrinth Tank fusion in there. If a dragon theme is what you want, then you should stick to it. There may be times when you'll get the Labyrinth Tank cards in your hand when you really need something else, vice versa. Also, why do you have one Attack and Recieve? 3 is more like it, since they'll do more damage in the long run. And anyway, you don't want to have too many traps, so take out a few of them (particularly Enchanted Javelin, Attack and Recieve, and Graverobbers Retribution- unless you want to add 3 Soul Release cards). Thanks to the set Legacy of Darkness, a lot of great dragon cards came out: Spear Dragon, Cave Dragon, Dragon's Gunfire, Stamping Destruction, Wingbeat of Giant Dragon, just to name a few. I'd suggest you try getting a few of those cards to make your dragon deck even more versatile and fun to play.

I believe it was Dark Bat in defense mode. Q: Here's a good one! In the episode "The Gauntlet Is Thrown" (episode 2), Grampa is putting up a Duel Monsters poster in his shop that features two monsters, who actually end up dueling each other much later in that same season. Name those two monsters!

Thanks, DeathBug. I'll have to get a couple Pegasus Starter Decks for the MST's, but it's a good tip. I'll have to get a Pegasus deck anyway, to get Graceful Charity.

I'd like to show people the kind of deck that I've chosen to play with. It's a combination of three strategies: 1.) To search for Yata-Garasu and clear the opponent's board for its effect, 2.) To summon Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon/shuffle my deck due to Thunder Dragon's effect, 3.) for my fiends to work under Dark Ruler Ha Des. Every other card has a burning effect, to make the game move faster and to get me closer to winning. (Note: I don't have every card in this list, but it's just what I want it to look like) Monsters (Non Tribute): x1 Yata-Garasu x1 Sangan x1 Witch of The Black Forest x1 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom x2 Yomi Ship x3 Amazon Archer x3 La Jinn x3 Whiptail Crow Monsters (Tribute): x1 Dark Ruler Ha Des x3 Thunder Dragon x1 Mystical Knight of Jackal (if not him, then Dark Dust Spirit) Fusion Monster: x1 Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon Total Monsters: 20 Magic/Spell (14): x1 Monster Reborn x1 Change of Heart x1 Raigeki x1 Dark Hole x1 Harpies Feather Duster x1 Graceful Charity x1 Pot of Greed x1 Bait Doll x2 Polymerization x2 Scapegoat x2 Tremendous Fire Traps (6): x2 Waboku x1 Curse of Royal x1 Magic Jammer x1 Ring of Destruction x1 Barrel Behind The Door Total Cards: 40

Okay, I was just wondering why you picked certain cards. If your chosen strategy works, then by all means use it. :) I thought you meant the big Jinzo, cause he's the technical #1.
Originally posted by ssjBrolli Alright I hate not playing this game so here's my little life story on why I stopped. I had the strongest deck ever. It's value in cards was about 600$ and some S.O.B. stole it. I'm going to break that kids arm for that. Anyways to get back on track, Luckly a really good friend of mine feels my sorrow and said he would build ANY deck that I want and here's the layout for it. The name of this deck will be total destruction or Oblivion. Creatures: Sangan: X2 Witch of the black forest: X1 Giant Soldier of stone: X3 Exodia the forbidion one: X1 Left arm of the F.O.: X1 Right arm of the F.O.: X1 Left leg of the F.O.: X1 Right leg of the F.O.: X1 Cyber Jar: X1 Morphing Jar#1: X1 Jinzo#1: X3 Penguin Solider: X3 Magic: Monster Reborn: X1 Raigeki: X1 Swords of revealing light: X1 Axe of despair: X3 Shallow Grave: X1 Pot of greed: X1 Last will: X1 Nightmare Steel Cage: X1 Traps: Mirror Force: X1 Jar of Greed: X2 Backup Soilder: X3 Call of the haunted: X1 Gravity Bind: X3 So what do you think?
Sorry about your old deck. Anyway, I'd like to take a stab at this deck you want. So, it's an Exodia one, eh? Exodia's always fun. :) But the only things I have to say are these: 1: Some of the cards you want have been restricted to one. They are Sangan and Jinzo. In their place, you should have more heavy defenses or attackers. 2: A deck with Jinzo in it shouldn't have as many traps; most of them are very good though. I'd take out the Gravity Binds; Jinzo would kill them anyway, and you'd have to have plenty of low-level attackers to really make this trap versatile. One trap that I do suggest if Imperial Order; great stall against your opponent's magic cards (especially the ones that would mess up your Exodia strategy). 3: Change of Heart should be added; you can never go wrong with it. 4: Why is Morphing Jar #1 here? Doesn't it make you discard your hand to the grave? Wouldn't that disrupt your Exodia strategy? I'd take it out... but that's just me.

Things you may hear later on in the long run, but probably not anytime soon: Kaiba: Yugi!! Joey!! Anyone, HELP ME-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E!!! *cries like a baby* **~~@~~** Mokuba: No offense, Seto, but sometimes you can be such a jerk! **~~@~~** Mai: I'm sick of the Harpy Lady cards. From now on, I'm going to use fiends! **~~@~~** Joey: *in the middle of his latest duel* Aw man, I'm missing my favorite soap opera! **~~@~~** Tristan: *sounding like The Fonze* Ayyyyy. **~~@~~** Tea: Why am I always cheering the guys on the sidelines? Everybody should know that I'M the number one duelist of all time! **~~@~~** Yugi or Yami: I'm thinking about getting a haircut...

No, Jinzo #7 is a monster that came out in Metal Raiders, long before we knew who the big Jinzo was. Jinzo #7 is a 500-ATK monster who can attack an opponent's lifepoints directly. Until Inaba White Rabbit came out, he was the biggest direct-attacker.

I think the same thing goes for Trap Hole; I could be wrong, but there's still too many traps in there. Second thing: Why is Umi in a deck with not too many fish/aqua monsters? Third thing: I noticed you have a few dragons, but why a Dragon Capture Jar? Your dragons will be useless if you keep them in defense mode. Lastly: There doesn't seem to be a theme here. Not that sub-type decks are bad (trust me, I own one), but you have your magic cards all mixed up. Too many power ups for different kinds of monsters; when you shuffle your deck and draw your cards, they'll most likely come at the worst time for you. My advice: Stick to a theme, just for the first few duels. As a beginner, you should have a deck with cards that compliment each other. You must have magic and trap cards that will work for ALL of your monsters, not just one. It's always a huge mistake to start with a non-themed deck, as you won't know how to use the cards in combo with each other. Choose either the dragons (minus DCJ), the fiends, or any other kind you wanna stick with. When you get more used to playing, you'll be able to come up with more ideas and more ways to have your monsters work together in harmony. I hope this helps.

Two: Bakuri (sp?) Box in his duel with Kaiba, and Thousand Eyes Restrict in his duel with Yugi. (This is my guess; I might have missed one) Q: How many "Doll" themed/named monsters/magic/traps did Umbra and Lumous play? You don't have to name them if you can't remember their names.
-
You're welcome. I love helping people!! :-)
-
No, I'm sorry. I believe he used one more, one in between Lightforce Sword and Chain Destruction. Try again.
-
Uh-uh; you forgot two. I can't tell you which ones you missed, sorry.

Oh, I forgot Insect-type cards For Insects, my favorites include Jirai Gumo (you don't need his effect; he can just sit there like a big wall), and Arsenal Bug, who needs other Insects out on the field to keep his stats at 2000/2000. He's another one that can work under Gravity Bind. And if you want, you can even have Insect-types work in a Wind deck, like the Flying Kamakiris, Girochin Kuwagata, and Empress Mantis. Combines with Rising Air Current, these monsters are really worth using (especially the Empress; trust me, I know- I've tried it). Yes, Swarm of Scarabs and Swrm of Locusts are good to use, but only if you can protect them. The best ways for you to use them again and again are by either through Gravity Bind (can you tell I like Gravity Bind? It's so universal!), or by using the Quick-Play Magic card Book of Moon. Another good insect from Pharonic Guardian is 8-Clawed Scorpion. When he attacks a face-down defense monster, his ATK becomes 2400. Combine that with Fairy Meteor Crush, and you have yourself a really tough cookie!
