DOA movie???

Though I can automatically tell that this movie will have near to nothing to do with the game itself, it does seem to have a particular... shall I say "Kung Fu Hustle" meets "Kill Bill" quality to it. Probably provide a couple of descent laughs if anything... and where the hell are the male characters?! I think I saw one, but he was getting his *** kicked from who seemed to be Helen... Oh boy. The great Chiba castle that once stood for righteousness and pride in the coast land of Chiba, was now empty of all things of meaning. The servants and lower soldiers had all left after Lord Hoji's death... murder. With the underlings also left the few valuables that Lord Hoji decorated his mansion with. The only thing left was the castle, and those who truely cared for Lord Hoji. Those that Lord Hoji cared for. The six samurai left behind, with no where else to go, with no one else to take them in. Each of them had a reason to love the man, who took them in like a father, housed them, and brought them into his service without a selfish thought upon his mind. Alone, it was they who swore revenge on their master's murderer. In the hallowed out main hall of Lord Hoji's great manor, sat in a circle six individuals. Each of them as different as the next, but held together with a common bound, their servitude under Lord Hoji, and their oath of revenge. "I... Still can't believe he's gone." Tsutsu spoke out quietly. Choking on her words. She looked to the floor with sad eyes, the feeling of despair amplified by the heavy rain drops ontop the castle. "It's a fact of life, we're going to have to face. It is going to have to be our drive, our motivation, for our revenge." Bashi said distinctly. His voice held power of authority. "Bashi-san speaks truthfully. We must accept this, we must know this, and feel this, if we are to avenge his death." Aoshi chimed in with a supportive, dignified tone. "B-but how... how can we take on the shogunate?" Fei said in her timmid voice, her words carrying a slight accent. "It won't prove easy... we must be prepared." Ayo began, "We need to be ready to give up our lives for this. This final mission will prove to be our legacy, if we are successful. And, it shall bring honor back to our Lord's name, which has been dragged through the mud by the wicked shogun." Ayo surveyed the room with her eyes to find everybody silent, the only sound coming from the pounding rain. She looked to Tora, who was laying across the floor, holding his head up with a hand. His eyes closed. "Tora-san... what do you think...?" Tora opened his eyes and rose from his laying position, cracking his neck and shoulders as he stretched his vertabrae. He spoke in a rough tone, "You wanna know what I think...?" he said in a careless tone, looking down at the sitting group, "I think we should leave... now! Sitting around here isn't going to get us anywhere, and neither is any amount of 'planning'! We can't outmaneuver the Shogun, and it's not just him that we have a grudge with..."' the group of Ronin looked up to Tora with questioning eyes. "Who else do we have to kill, Tora?! Who else do we have a vendetta against?" Bashi questioned frustratingly. "If I'm not mistaken... it was those damned foreign merchants and sailors who started all this trouble. Telling the Shogun what's what, and buying his ass off! And almost every regional lord in this country has his back. If were going to pull of a c'oup de grat, then where gonna have to do it with these, and these alone!" Tora yelled our vigourously, holding out his tightly-clenched fists. "We'll defeat the Shogun, and those damned foreigners with our heart, and our spirit! It's the only way!" Tora hallored, ending his speech. The small group of warriors looked up at him with suprise. They had never seen such a side to the usually lethargic man, but they also held within them a new spirit to fight. Bashi stood, and looked him in eyes. The others stood up with Bashi and looked into one another's eyes, however Bashi's never left Tora's. "Tora..." Bashi started, getting a cocked eye brow from Tora, "Let's do it..." he said with a slight smile. Tora followed with a smirk of his own. They both nodded, and Tora turned around to the door. He walked to it and opened it up as the others followed. Tora looked up to see the rain had stopped, and the sun had begun shining onto the land of Chiba. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Okay. 13. It was 9:47 pm, local time, when Orlok and Elizabeth descended into the Indian airport in the enormous city of Dehli. The bright lights of the over populated city made it seem as if it where day time during the night. No stars where visible, and the moon was crescent. The aircraft landed smoothly, waking the sleeping Elizabeth. Orlok had his share of sleep early on, and had woken himself up in a dream which he did not remember. The pilot spoke over the intercom, "Lord Orlok, Lady Sumiyaka, we have arrived in our desination of Dehli, India." he spoke over the electric static. Orlok looked over to the dreary eyed woman, she was stretching her bones and taking in a deep yawn. "Here already?" she grumbled. She withdrew her glasses from the holder she carried in a small purse she kept. She looked up to Orlok. "That we are, my lady." Orlok said, "Shall we be off?" Elizabeth smacked her lips and rose from her chair,"I suppose. Let's go, my Lord." she said, still slightly groggy. They both stood on the now still plane and exited to a private welcoming party of one man, Rupert Gastlow. He was a short, but dignified vampire of repute. He had become the clan's director of eastern affairs. He wore a dark grey suit with black pinstrips and a black tie with a white shirt. His shoes where also a shined black. "Master Gastlow, it has been quite a while." Elizabeth spoke in a suddenly perky tone. "Lady Sumiyaka! It had, that it has..." the man spoke with mustachioed lips. He was a balding man, something uncommon with vampires, who can usually control such things. It was possible he did so on purpose. "Rupert, this is my travelling companion, Lord Orlok of the clan Gwyar." Elizabeth introduced Orlok formally, bowing while directing her hands towards him. "I have heard of him before. Quite a formidable reputation you have Lord." Rupert said, bowing before Orlok. "It is a pleasure to meet you, sire." "Please rise, my friend." Orlok said, advancing towards the man who had rose. Orlok shook his hand with a firm grip, interpreting respect with his gesture. Rupert shook back. "Well, my friends. Shall we be off?" Rupert said, sweeping his open palms towards the limosine parked a few yards away. Orlok and Sumiyaka made there way towards it and the driver opened the door for them. The three of them bent down and sat in the spacious vehicle. They then made their way out of the airport. As they drove, Rupert and Elizabeth held small talk whilst Orlok sat back quietly, taking in the cities sites through tented windows. Orlok had always been intrigued with foreign peoples, and enjoyed observing and learning their ways. The lights where bright and the streets where alive with people who went from place to place, carrying out all sorts of activities. Soon after, the group drove up to a large manor built into the city. It stoof monolithic amongst the smaller houses where the city's richer occupants precided. This large manor acted as an embassy for the Gwyar clan, it was rarely used however. Elizabeth seemed delighted that he place used much of today's technology in it's structure. The grouped stepped out and made their way up the steps of the manor's walkway. Rupert took pride in opening the large, stained-cedar doors, revealing a beautiful interior of marble floor and native decor. Orlok and Elizabeth both seemed impressed with the manor's unique settings. "My Lady, My Lord, your rooms are up those stair to our right," Rupert said, pointing towards the large, sweeping staricase to the mansions second floor."Please inform me if their is anything I can do to help you, please enjoy your stay." "Thank you, Rupert." Elizabeth spoke with a smile. Orlok nodded his head towards the man. "For you, anything my lady. Now I must be off. Business to tend, I'm afraid." Rupert said as he turned around and made his way down a large corridor. Orlok and Elizabeth made their way up the stairs and went into seperate rooms, unloading their luggage. Elizabeth was setting her things down, when a knock came to her door. She answered to Orlok, who stood there politely. "Yes, my Lord?" she asked the tall man before her. "I was thinking about stepping out for a while. Taking in the city during our stay. Would you care to join me?" Orlok spoke in a mannerly tone. Orlok was hoping to free her mind from the thoughts that were obviously troubling her. He wished her to have a clear mind for the up coming mission. Elizabeth turned her head around to her room, and looked to him. "It would be an honor, my Lord. Let me just get my cloak." she said, stepping back into her room and gathering the garment up, placing it around her shoulders. "Lets be off..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Imi, you can go ahead and get us mixed up. I didn't want to rush into it. So, I too am ready for a fight.

  15. Crunk music tends to get me just pumped up and ready to do some serious a** whoopin'. That's why I listen to it while I'm playing fighting games or before I go to my martial arts class. However, the Screwed music from Houston is more of a laid back style, but still makes you feel like your just ready to throw down. By the way, Paul Walls song is called "Sittin' Sidewayz". Not "Drive Slow". The inspiration for that song is Houston's car culture and what not. Not his best song in my opinion, but it's still great. His remix with Ashanti and Method Man is great, though. That may be one of my favorites from him. Other than southern hip hop, I listen to alot of Jay-Z, who is my favorite rapper of all time, Nas, Eminem's old stuff, Busta Rhymes, ODB, Kanye West, Rhymefest, who is the most promising new act I've seen in a while, Lloyd Banks, and The Game. But since I live in the south, I have better access to local Hip Hop on the radio. See, I don't have a whole lotta money, so if I don't get a free burned CD, the most of my hearing comes off the radio, which I enjoy alot better than MTV. Oh, and another southern underground artists who's up and coming is Chamillionaire. He looks to have potential.
  16. Concerning Manga, I have many favorite moments. Naruto The Rock Lee v Sasuke fight. Sakura cheers Sasuke on. He gets punched in the eye. Sasuke uses his Sharingan, foolishly thinking it will help. Sakura cheers even more. Sasuke gets kicked in the jaw, and then, nearly piledriven into the ground... almost... Dosu getting forward lotus'd by Rock Lee. The Rock Lee v. Gaara fight. Drunken Rock Lee. As you all see, I am a huge fan of the Rock Lee. Hellsing Alucard: "Hey Girl... are you virgin..." Vampire: "Wha-What're you goin' on about now!?" Alucard: "I ask you if you are a virgin! Answer me! Vampire: "What... Eh! Ah! Bastard!!! Enough of this crap! Alucard: "Answer Me!!!" Veronica: "Y... Yes!!!" BAAAM!!! Baseball sized whole in Veronica and Vampire's chest. Vampire: "Bloody Hell?!!"
  17. And the Winner is.... celestialcharm! (sets off fireworks and doo-dads). That was possibly the greatest use of a Family Guy reference ever. 18. OCC: I'll post the conversation I guess. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elizabeth and Orlok sat placidly in the fire lit chamber, Orlok indulging in a glass of liquor. "This castle, it has it's charms, I must say..." Orlok said as he brought the scotch up to his mouth slowly. Elizabeth sat up promptly and nodded her head, "Yes. This is the only place I can consider a home... when I'm not out on business." "I take it you take many missions. Strange for such a dignified woman as your self to be so active." Orlok spoke in probing voice. "Unlike you, Lord, or the other council heads, I don't have much business of my own to conduct. I suppose my missions give me purpose." Elizabeth replied with a hint of regret in her voice. Orlok took notice of her discomfort, "Do you not have any other pursuits in life?" Orlok said with a sympathetic voice. "I believe a woman of such beauty and mentality would take better advantage of the fruits of immortality." Elizabeth took a minute to think, "I highly appreciate my gift, Lord. It is just, I find myself feeling a sense of... loneliness these days. The only remedy for these feeling I have is return to the castle, to my books, and to..." Elizabeth stopped mid-sentence, trying to withdraw her words. "To... whom?" Orlok prodded with his words. "Nothing my lord... 'tis nothing." Elizabeth said, blushing at her cheeks. Orlok could read the emotion she held in her eyes. "Fair enough, my dear." Orlok replied, pouring another glass of scotch, offering some to Elizabeth. "No thank you my Lord." she answered, withdrawing from her cloak a glass bottle containing a crimson substance. She took out a second and placed it on the table in front of Orlok. "Why thank you, it is appreciated." Orlok said with a charming smile, popping the cork off the bottle and mixing it with his scotch, a concoction which he found delicious. As he took a drink and lowered his glass he spoke again, "This... Kuroichi fellow. Do you know anything extra-ordinary about him?" Elizabeth lowered the bottle of blood from her lips, "He is called the silver-haired demon in his lands. He is said to be the most powerful vampire in Asia. Many of his followers claiming that he is even more powerful than the likes of the original Gwyar..." she spoke ominously, taking in Orlok's intrigued expression, "... but we know better, don't we my Lord?" she said assuringly with a smile. Orlok chuckled to himself, "Quite, my dear... Quite." he took another drink from his glass of scotch and blood. Elizabeth and Orlok sat for a few moments, silent. They took in the sounds of the ancient castle. Elizabeth looked up to the ancient iron clock on the far side of the wall, putting on an expression of suprise. "It seems that our time draws near my lord, our transport should be finished refueling in a few minutes. I must go and gather my things, Lord." she said with a polite voice, and bowed before Orlok as she turned her back and walked out. "It is Helios, isn't Elizabeth...?" Orlok projected his voice across the room and catching Elizabeth's ears. She stood still for a moment, and didn't turn her back to face Orlok. "...." "I understand..." Orlok said to her. Elizabeth suddenly scurried out the room towards her quarters. Orlok then spoke to himself, "Better than you know... my dear..." ------------------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Imi, I guess you can take us on our journey and stop us anywhere you feel in Asia.

  20. My bad. I must have misread your post. As for Gren's shower scene, yeah, they cut off his breast. But that's because it's on a basic cable network, and I don't think they would show full on breasts. But it was very clear what was up with him. When he and Faye had a conversation, it was further explained, but you could see slight cleavage on him showing what had happened. Aswell, the language changes are considerable. If you watch the DVDs, then it's the same. Atleast, that's what I think, cuz Spike's language remained the same on the first volume of the DVD. But yeah, so far I have been fairly satisfied with the anime's translation and what not, I'm just not a big fan of the animation, because it's pretty slow, considering the speed at which they supposedly react to things. That is why I like the manga, so my imagination can imagine the speed and action at which they move.
  21. I consider the truest form of the Naruto series to be the manga. I find it strange that I prefer the original japanese translated by fans more to my taste. I suppose it is because they curse alot more and the Jutsu's have cooler name's when translated literally. Desert Coffin sounds cooler than Imploding Sand Coffin. More intimidating to me. The Manga is the original source material for everything that followed. There isn't any filler, probably more things contributing to the main story, and also, you get the manga sooner than the anime. In the anime, they didn't show Zabuza pulling the needles out of his neck, but in the manga, it showed it, and I was far more satisfied. Also, the shows animation is mediocre at best. But the manga's artwork is all beautiful and the details of a character are never spared. Also, the character's in the anime have strange proportions sometimes. Example, Rock Lee looks alot cooler in the manga than the anime. As does Hyuga Neji. Aswell, in the show, Naruto is just annoying. In the manga, he is bearable at least and even cool later on. So yeah, the manga for me is the best form of Naruto. By the way. They never changed the guy's gender in "Jupiter Jazz". They made it clear he was a man and that he had hormonal problems, and it was clear he was a hermaphrodite. They never edited it out as far as my knowledge goes. Maybe on an early version, but in the replays of the show, they deffinetly left it in. Nor did they change Haku's gender. He is still a boy and he said it in the episode that he was a boy, and Naruto even went to the extent to say that he was cuter than Sakura.
  22. That's what I originally meant by brutality. The plotting of each murder was horrible, and then it just made you queasy as your mind races through the scenario of the people's demise. Sloth however, just made me kind of sick to see the guy's body and how he was set up... nasty way to be left. (Not quite sure if he died...?) Another movie that I recently remembered that scared me was "The Excorsist". The original of course. I saw the movie when I was fairly young (I'd say around 10?) and it spooked me good. The thing that scared me most was the girl's body as it slowly decayed over the movie's course. Also, the whole projectile puke kinda grossed me out at the time. Today, it doesn't really scare me too much, but it was something back then. Certain non-horror genre movies also scared me aswell. "Casino" where the Irish guy got his head in a vice and Peschi got beat to death with a baseball bat, all kinda made me a little sick to the tummie. Also, "Marathon Man" kinda off set me, because I didn't like the dentist in the first place, and I can't imagine the agony. You know what I'm talking about if you've seen the movie. Some war movies scare me when guys get all shot up and it shows their guts just falling out. It scares me not because of the guts, but because it's a beleivable scenario where it could happen. Namely the first scene in "Saving Private Ryan" and others.
  23. Gladly. And I understand your veiws. Here are some regular artists that you may like: MF Doom Nas (though he was recently signed to Def Jam by his former rival) Kanye West (dido) Quasimotto Frog One The X-Ecutioners MC Chris (who does MC Pee Pants etc. for adult swim) Invisbl Skratch Piklz There's more, but I can't remember right this second. I'm more knowledgable about the southerners: Paul Wall Mike Jones Slim Thug Lil' Wyte Dem Franchize Boyz Purple Ribbon All-Stars (fronted by Big Boi from Outkast) Young Jeezy (not so much, but he's there) Young Bloodz (who come out with a video every year or so) Three 6 Mafia (who just came out with their first video in a long time) 8 Ball & MJG There are just a few 'underground' kinda acts. While you may here about some of them on MTV or something, you won't here alot of their best unless you find their mixtapes and radio singles which they come out with every month or so. It's constant.
  24. I used to be a real scaredy cat when it came to horror films. But as I grew older, I found that most of them are actually extremely ridiculous. My girlfriend, who is notoriously easy to scare, enjoys horror films and has me watching them with her. While she is jumping in fear, I sit there, laughing hysterically in my mind. I mean "House of Wax" was freaking hilarious! Especially
Paris Hilton's death.
That made the movie worth watching. Other than that, I kinda wanted everyone to die. I didn't really care for anyone on there. That last movie that I remember raising the hair on the back of my neck was "Signs". I don't know why, but that movie kinda gave me an extreme paranoia factor. Before that, it was "The Sixth Sense", but neither of these really scared me, just kinda gave me a chill down the spine. The movies I recall actually scaring me are "28 Days Later" and it wasn't even the zombies who scared me, but the desperation that the regular characters showed. The scariest part in that movie was when
the main character gouged that one guards eyes out, and how he released the zombie they kept captive on everyone else.
"Seven" was also quite a scary expierience. Mostly due to the brutality of the murderes. When that
when the guy representing Sloth just popped back to life, I nearly **** myself.
