No, no, I'm sorry! I guess it was sort of inconsiderate of me not to remember...sorry!:animedepr
Its okay, like many people you just ate yourself into a coma. This is all a dream, and its really december. Sorry you had to find out like this! That being said, that's exactally what I plan on doing. However since I've been engaged I've found that I end up eating more than most people. With both of our parents living within 30 miles of one another, I'll be pregaming at my mother's. Stopping by my father's for some homemade peanutbutter pie (perks of divorced parents), and finally topping it off at her parents. So basically I keep enough leftovers in my fridge to survive a nuclear holocaust. As far as funny stories, I'm sure I could think of some when I was little. But as far as the past couple years? None that I can recall, I'm normally past out on the couch by the end of the last dinner.

You aren't the only one having those problems. I attributed them to renting the game using a copy that somebody else had. So I buckled and bought a new copy, and still had the same results. There seem to be a few others, I picked up the rail gun and everytime I fired it my xbox would freeze.
And it's unfair to say "America" is not ready to be comfortable around gays. It's a person-by-person thing, not the entire population. And there are plenty of religious people who support gay rights. It's a rather complex issue.
While I agree with the statement its a person by person basis, I do agree with the termanology he used. If the "majority" of people are voting to ban gay marriage then technically it is "America" that isn't ready. "America" wasn't ready for a black president until now. The voice of the majority is the voice of "America" so lay off him he was just making a true statment. It really isn't a complex issue though, in my opinion. Its pretty simple, you're either accepting or you're not, and right now the concensus seems to be not (which really baffles me since a fews ago we were.).
Objection! Not true. Sure, I suppose you can say a guy has commitment issues, but I completely disagree. Children terrify me. And the thought of settling down for the rest of my life just seems impractical. Besides, marriage is just a title and piece of paper to me. To claim that every man wants to be a dad and get married is a little ridiculous.
I hate to turn this into a debate since its somebodies attempt at gaining advice. Which is what I gave her and of course anyone has the right to object to somebody elses advice. I would have to Overrule your objection though seeing as you're just as young as she is. I'm not, obviously, an "elder" by anymeans but I felt the same way. The whole not wanting to be tied down thing was one of the reasons I enlisted, then when i got older is when everything changed. Let's throw this in the time capsule and see how you feel in 4 years. :animeknow...always wanted a reason to use that smiley

RPG Konoha Chronicles - The Torn Earth [M - V, L]
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Adas's topic in Theater
Okaru flinched as he touched his nose as he thought about how perfectally the plan went. Everybody, even the examiners had fallen for the diversion, mostly because it wasn't really a diversion it was a fight. Okaru smiled as the blood still poured from his nose, Matsuda had gotten a great shot on him. "Strange, he's always come across as such a weakling." Okaru prodded over their fight in his head, it wasn't an honorable thing he did, but it had to be believeable. His smile grew bigger when Hoto walked in, the chuunin assigned to watch over Okaru stood up and shook his head indicating that nobody was allowed to see Okaru. "Sorry sir, I just wanted to let Okaru know that I passed." He looked to Okaru "Thank you for everything Okaru, if it weren't for you I would never have passed" Okaru simply nodded and stared out the window. The fight had grown a little more intense then he intended it too. He'd assumed Raiga-sensei would have chewed their assess and that would've been it, unfortunetly now he had to worry if he didn't ruin Matsuda's chances. "I'll apologize to him," He flinched again as he touched his obviously broken nose, "or maybe I'll skip the apology and just fill him in. This thing hurts." -
Not being a big star wars fan I didn't go out and buy this game, but I tried the demo. It seems like a pretty solid game, so I think that I'll go pick it up sometime around the begining of the new year when the fiancee goes back to school from christmas break, barring of course that COD 5 isn't as good as I think it is and I'm held up in the house playing that all day/night.

I'm going to tell you straight up how it is, honestly. He says he wants a girlfriend for life and no kids? He's full of it, he may be telling you how he feels now, and I'm not going to go with the cliche of "of you guys are just still so young", but in a few years he's be chomping at the bit to be a daddy. One thing I've found is that girls may want to wait to become moms, or may never want to become moms and they can stick with it; a guy on the otherhand can't fight that. People may say its because we're programmed for sex but thats not true, every guy wants to be a daddy and he'd come around. If you've spent time crying over him its not meant to be. I'm not saying that you can't love someone and make them cry, I've made my fiancee cry once, and it killed me. The difference is the reasoning, by the sounds of it you've cried because of him several times, and thats not good. That sounds to me that you've commited youself and he hasn't, and probably never will. But fear not, when you let him go you'll cry over him one last time and then that'll be it, and trust me it'll hit him a lot harder and it sounds like he deserves to cry over you once, so don't wait until he leaves or he'll just say "oh long distance relationships don't normally work out so it was bound to happen." Finally, you're 17 and (okay I said I wouldn't but I'm going to) you do have all your life ahead, you just don't realize it. I know you said in your post you do, but you don't. If you planned your life around someone who is going to sit back and watch you cry, then it hasn't sunk in yet. When I was in high school I saw several couples who "planned on being together forever", hell I met my fiancee (though I didn't know who she was yet) when she was engaged to an aquaintance of mine in high school. I'm not saying that you couldn't find the one you'll spend the rest of your life with in high school, but hell live it up. When you go off to college, or even if you just go close to home, you'll meet so many new people, and yes guys, you'll forget all about him. So get off here, call break up with him cry for a little bit, and get back on here and let us know how it went.

Writing The Reaper: The Brotherhood
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Creative Works
“Oh it feels wonderful to be free again,” I think to myself as I exit the holding area. There’s almost enough time to enjoy it before I encounter my first “problem”. A single guard stands watch at the entrance to the room. There’s something you don’t know, that I probably should explain before continuing. You see I’ve been given an array of nifty powers, the one in particular that I find most useful is my ability to move throughout the time continuum at a much quicker pace than any mortal, that is any mortal without the brotherhood’s suits that create radius around them in which my enhanced ability becomes useless. This poor soul, isn’t wearing his like a good soldier; maybe poor soul isn’t right, he was lucky enough to not see me coming up behind him. No poor soul is right, my blade didn’t make it cleanly through him, and he wasn’t given a very quick death. Apparently my powers haven’t made a full return yet, oh well. You may be thinking now, “How are you going to get his soul to where it’s going?” Well that’s a good question; in a nutshell any soul that I use my sword on is destroyed. Yes I said destroy, another of my ‘divine’ powers. This nasty death is only reserved for the souls that give me a particularly hard time tracking down or of course on one of Isaac’s fellow “brothers”. Thinking that it may be a good time to leave before I get caught when my powers are so weak still, I attempt a simple teleport back home. Unfortunately I once again underestimate Isaac’s technological advances and am stopped short. My attempt sets off a multitude of alarms all around me, apparently there are some sort of spirit detectors around, now I’m really pissed. I poke my head out the door and glance around both directions. The other guards haven’t rounded the corner yet, just enough time to work up a distraction. I run back to the jail room where the unconscious body of the guard that was divinely possessed is lying very still, you would mistake him as dead if you didn’t know that being divinely possessed cannot harm you, unlike of course what I’m about to do. I stand over the body, closing my eyes and mumbling the language of the ancients; and just to clarify when I say ancients I mean the language lost in time. No I don’t mean Latin; I mean the language of the time before the great tower of Babel fell, a language that only those who were there before, and were spared the fate of the mortals remember. I always hate doing this; my body feels like it’s ripped in two as it begins to fade. I’m transferred via an incredibly bright blue light. To an onlooker, I could imagine it’s a very beautiful thing, I hate it. The pain is unimaginable, but I always assume it would be something like giving birth to a fifteen pound baby, literally ripping you in half. When it’s finally over, which seemed like minutes but was only a few seconds I look down to my new body. It’s slow, clunky, and the worst is my powers are useless to me as long as I’m wearing this skin suit. The good thing, however, is that this mans soul is gone. Destroyed as his brothers was, except he’s left me my escape in his death. I exit the room just as the other guards make it, they definitely wouldn’t receive any awards for performance. One looks at me in a funny way, probably wondering how I escaped death. “Justin, where’s the reaper?” I rub my head and point down the corridor, the only thing that worries me is my acting; I’ve never been real strong. “I think he turned down that way, I’m not sure what happened.” He looks at my head which is bleeding pretty badly, I said divine possession itself couldn’t hurt you, I didn’t say a fall after the fact couldn’t. “Get yourself to the infirmary, how’s Jason?” Hopefully he was referring to the other guard. “Didn’t make it, the damn reaper has his scythe. It appeared after he broke through the door.” Damn, they would never doubt Isaac’s spirit energy reducing technology. “Broke through? Damn looks like father has some work cut out for him.” Yes he said father, starting to see how vein that dirt bag is? They run off in the direction I’m assuming is the way of the exit. “Hold on sir, I’m coming along. That bastard killed Jason and I won’t let him get away with it.” I run off to catch up to the group, I’ll lag behind for awhile so nobody will talk to me. These guys are determined; it always makes me a little sad to kill Isaac’s lackeys. They think he is sent messages from god himself, he’s convinced half the free world of that fact, but I like to think of it as I’m saving them from hell because some of them don’t deserve that, but it’s their only other alternative. I tell myself that, but honestly it’s probably because I’m too lazy to escort them all to the boatman. I see a sign that says exit flashing up ahead after a few short moments, hopefully its an exit I can teleport from and regroup. Isaac has already grown more powerful than I ever would have thought, before it was a nice thrill dodging him and his many traps. Now he’s become too powerful to contain, so I must stop him. I’m just not so sure how. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my first story told from a first person perspective, and I’m not so sure how I’m doing. I think the story itself is good, I’m just not so sure about how I’m telling it. If anyone could give me some advice to improve this I would appreciate it. -
Prop 8 is, of course, the big amendment that was voted on this year. But people seem to pass over the fact that the same amendment got approved in other states too. Here in Florida, Amendment 2 got 62%, just over the 60% margin it needed to pass.
I don't think anyone's actually looking over the fact timechaser. I think its more of a surprise it came from California, since it stereotypically has more gays per capita then the other states. Therefore it was sort've thrusted into the limelight, and I can say I'm honestly surprised this thread wasn't started the day the ballots were counted. Passing this, in my opinion, has probably opened up a can of worms that can't be closed. Now that people see the "gayest" state in the union as repealed a law that, if I'm not mistaken, originally started. Which is a sad day, I was always on the fence leaning towards traditional marriage. After meeting my fiancee's two gay cousins I completly reversed to being in complete support of gay marriage. Attribute my hesitence to the typical south eastern ohio hill jack mentallity, but that's in the past. I do hope I'm incorrect, but I do fear that we will see many more of these on the ballots in the years to come. Hopefully, however, they will be shot down and California will repeal their repeal.
However she did have a fling with her high school aged gardener in the first season. Damn was that funny!
That was that really young guy everyone seemed to be swooning over correct? That's not funny at all, that's the biggest fear of every man in America. That's why I will never have a pool or hire a boy to clean said pool.....that's of course overlooking the face that I couldn't currently afford a pool. Maybe if I make any money at the upcoming shindig (thanks for that word Chibi_master) I can buy one and just clean it myself. Edit: Is there an award for using the word that to start every sentence in a paragraph? Because if so I won that one hands down.

My mistake, you see I haven't studied up on my nerd yet. But to think that I meant it was in reference to graphics, was sort've ludacris in the first place. It was folly of me to post the term "engine" when I didnt' use multiplayer system, so for that I apologize.
-
I assume Carlos must be Eva Longoria's Pool boy...lucky bastard. I also am assuming he's moonlighting as the green ranger? One of his bosses needs to loosen up their pockets otherwise there will be no music for that creepy dinner. Rach isn't going to play....though if you change your mind I'll help out with my Bass (I'd love to be in the vicinety when the fur starts fly)
-
Not the gameplay engine, I'm refering to the matchmaking engine.
-
Korey that is a thing of beauty. Thank you so much.
-
Oh my gosh guys you won't believe this. They went as far as to get rights for enough sequels that they're extending it all the way through GT.....and get this. Instead of an epic battle between Goku and Vegeta, they're cutting Vegeta out and exposing the Golden Oozaru's one weakness...its deplorable. That's not me by the way

Thanks for taking an interest Yeah you're right sorry for the vaugness of it, okay well as far as the banner goes I'd like to keep it dark. Some reds and blacks would be probably the obvious, but if you can keep it dark and use different colors feel free to. As far as the font goes, like I said I really don't have a preference, but I guess something like the writing in a sort've cusive/signature type as long as it is legible. If there are any other questions I can answer please feel free to post.
And I clearly remember being 9 and still thinking that the fact that the black ranger was a black guy and the yellow ranger was asian was extremely racist.
Well I feel obligated to mention how the pink ranger was a girl and the blue ranger was a boy....sort've sexist if you ask me. An extra....Raiha won't like that
-
Okay I actually have 2 related requests. First I was wondering if someone could make me an avatar of death, the grim reaper specifically. I don't really have any preference. The banner I'd like to say 'Drizzt: Bringer of Death since 11-05-2008' in whatever Font you'd choose. The picture itself would be of the grim reaper, now this is open to artist creativity. It could be anything from the reaper taking a soul to taking a nap, or just the reaper its up to you. Anything else you'd like to add is fine, again I want full artist creativity, that way its completly original for you, oh and of course I'll make sure to put on there that you made it for me, but feel free to add your signature if you'd like.
-
Hey can I be the red ranger? Of course I haven't watched power rangers since the first season....wait...which one is the murderer I don't want to be that one...but Raiha probably would
-
I'd love to join this. I honestly can't say I've seen anything quite like this done before.

Writing The Reaper: The Brotherhood
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Creative Works
Its dark, I can?t see anything. Isaac likes it that way, he thinks it creates an ominous atmosphere that will frighten me and keep me in line. Funny how it?s never crossed his mind that I live in hell' which has always bewildered me. You see at the beginning of time God gave Adam and Eve eternal life. They were to live in Eden for eternity, but they threw that away thanks to Satan. Well after that, god revoked that privilege; instead they were given a set amount of time to prove their love for him. Well god of course has the power to do my job himself, but due to certain celestial rules he cannot leave heaven whenever he wishes; so in order for him to do the ?reaping? he would have to take groups of people at once. This would also give rise to even more souls coming to hell since nobody would ?believe? or have ?faith? they would know; and knowing isn?t the same as having faith. God, instead, created me to solve this problem. Though I?m a mere guest here in hell, and hold no true power, I have a very nice palace and minions of my own. Of course that?s nice, but I would much rather live in heaven. I guess god knew that more souls than not would be damned, so he wanted me to live close to where I work. Well I?m done rambling, back to what happened. Isaac had miscalculated the effect of the dark on me. Instead of restricting me, it actually increases my power. Of course this doesn?t matter due to the effects of Isaacs?s technology, in this room. Spirit power is contained, so no matter how strong I am I can do nothing. I was none the less amazed when the lock suddenly turned and without any warning the door flew open. A man walks in, a soldier of Isaac, and yet not. ?Reaper, I?ve been sent to get you out of here.? It?s literally the voice of god coming from this man. Exiting the room, I hold my hands above my head. In a brilliant flash of light the majestic sword that I was given to ?reap? with appears in my hand. Yes I said sword, it was this sword that guarded Eden for so many years as a giant flaming sword in the sky. It was this sword that I changed into the scythe you all know and fear; it is this sword that will gut that worthless son of a bitch that held me in here for so long. So that?s my story so far, yes I know its an odd place to tell a story from, but the real story is about to start?.. -
Great sign-ups so far, I really like the variety/diversity of your characters. I'm really hoping to get 7 sign-ups beside myself so I'm going to keep the auditions open for one more week. Edit: Official sign-ups are now closed. I'm still looking for interested people to fill a couple roles. If you have any questions or want to participate PM me and I'll give you the details.

hehe, when I was in middle school our dances were the girls dancing in the cafeteria while the guys played basketball in the gym. My worse dance experience of all time was when I was in tech school. We were stationed in a primarily military community, and pretty much everything they had was marketed towards the military. They had a club off base that everyone went to, well I met a girl there (a civilian) and decided to let her teach me how to 2-step. Well, we started slow and I got the hang of it, then we started doing it as fast as the others.....and yeah I 2-steped her right into the DJ booth..funny thing is she still went on a date with me the next weekend. We didn't ever dance together again, can't imagine why.

Finally got to sit down and play this, I just finished a marathon Multiplayer game and I must say I'm sort've dissapointed. They used the same engine that Halo3 used and I don't care for it. In the first GOW your could get a group of 8 people and play all day, now you can only get a team of five and do the same. You have to pick between 2 maps and 2 game types so with the number of game types chances are you're going to get at least one choice you don't care for, sort've sucks. The campaign seems to be a replica of the first, which I'm not complaining I like. I've heard people who said they just shot through it on casual (the easiest setting) in about 15 hours not searching for COG tags or any sort've extras. So the game play is a good bit longer considering I had 7 on the original. They did a much better job with the sounds of the weapons, and the look. (though don't bother getting to excited over the "golden" weapons as they're more yellow than gold. The levels still carry the same appeal, though now their is more than one level that you can die as a result of the enviroment. One level, aptly named avalanche has just that a huge avalance that can kill any character un protected by cover. Another level called...and you would never guess hail. Well that's pretty self explanitory. I have several other likes/dislikes but I'll leave the floor open for someone else. Edit: I couldn't end this post without mentioning horde mode. The best online multiplayer mode ever, and I don't just mean related to GOW

I had actually rented and been playing fall out 3 for the past two weeks (needed something to get me by till GOW2). I got relatively far and though I cannot remember at what level the bloody mess perk popped up. I do recall that some perks you couldn't unlock at the level they were supposed to be unlocked at. Instead you had to use the...intense training I think....I can't remember but the perk that you could add a point to your strength, endurance, etc. Some perks required you have a certain trait at a certain level before it would unlock. The next time you level up scroll down and look at the yet to be unlocked perks, the bloody mess will be in one of those, barring you don't unlock it when you level up. Speaking of leveling up, that was the one major thing that bugged me. It was so easy to level up. I was at level 12 before I knew it, I was at level 14 in the two weeks I had it....that's only logging a couple hours a day. Oh and one final thing, no arena. Though the arena in Oblivion was by far not the best feature in the game, a nice arena in this one would've been awesome. Something like the raiders would have had... Not knocking the game, as I said when I started this thread I loved every second of it.
