Casualty on a massive scale is how you win a war.
There has never been a truer statment. If you look to history, what was the last war that the United States Actually won? WWII? And how did we win it? If you look ahead Korea: Tie. Vietnam: We'll go with Tie. and you can't count the initial "war" with Iraq because fighting against a military inferior country does not count. The truth of the matter is though, you could nuke every country over there (especially pakistan because I have good reason (not some insane illogical conspiracy theory) that Bin Laden is being housed there.). The problem with that though, is there are terror cells operating in all the major countries. Look at what happened in London a few years back with the bombings in the tube (oh and Vicky my bringing up WWII is for you next time you say please don't save us :animesmil) The World Trade Centers, both times. There is no real best course of action. I do agree what we're doing is right. If we left, the kurds would be gone within a matter of days. Oh and I'm glad someone brought up the sons of Isaac and Ishmel, I have a question about that though. IF we would somehow find the ultimate solution, would that mean we would bring about the end of the world if they stopped fighting?

"Jason, Jason honey its time to get up. The festival's starting." Jason yawned as he rolled around in bed. He'd honestly contimplated just lying in bed all day and skipping the festival. He'd spent time figuring up the number of entries based on the assumed ages of everyone he knew, and threw in some round about numbers on the rest. He figured he had about a 1 in 1000 chance oe being selected. Of course there were things with worse odds, but he dind't even see the point in attending. He decided his mother would never let him sleep through it though, so he got up and made his way downstairs where his mother and father both sat drinking coffee. They were both dressed in their best clothes, Jason felt odd. He didn't dress up, this year though his parents were supposed to meet with some high end military officials so his father could proposition him about moving to a warmer climate. The three had decided to skip the parade this year, they'd seen it time and time again. And thought that Jason had been working so hard with his father, he deserved some sleep in time. They arrived just as everone in the villiage, plus the military occupants, sat down to enjoy dinner. They hadn't been their 5 minutes before Jason's parents were summoned to meet with the General. "Jason, enjoy yourself. The lottery starts in 20 minutes, hopefully we'll be back by then." As soon as they left, Jason got up to walk around. With the hours he and his father worked he didn't have an opportunity to meet many people from the villiage. After walking around and seeing the sites. He sat back down, not a minute later his mother came screaming, wrapped her arms around him, and began telling him all about the meeting. "Oh Jason it went so great, guess what?" Just then, the announcer came up. The lottery was always choosen by a select group of elders in secret, only observed by military personel as to ensure cheating. "Please everyone, take your seats so I can announce the names." Jason half listened, he was more concerened with his moms "good news" "Well, we sat down with the general and at first he didn't even want to listen to us." "The first name, Jeff Moore" "After 5 minutes he wanted us to leave." "Next Abigail James" "Then your father said, "Sir we arranged this meeting so the least you could do is hear us out. wow was your father in his face" "Jeremy Stocks" "The general was so mad, but I think he was inpressed by your fathers conviction so he had us sit back down." "Francine Murphy" "Your father explained the situation about the deal that was made when he first took that job." "Jack ramsey" "It was amazing, he didn't even think about it. He just said that he was sorry, the last general didn't give him that information." "Jenna Smith" "So, your fathers signing the paperwork now, but we're all going to Southern California! Oh its so warm there. I'm so happy you get to really see the country. We have to go pack, we're all leaving tommorow!" "Jason McGraft" Jason's jaw dropped, he looked at his mother who had the same look on her face. "I guess, we're not all leaving tommorow mom."

Greg heard the door slide open with that mechanical whir. He was facing the other way, but was sure that it had to be Draco. He sort've felt bad not getting up as the man entered, but he was sick of all the formalities. He wasn't trying to be disrespectful at all, being the leader of a whole faction had to be difficult, but if he was to be treated as Greg and not as someone special. He had to treat others in the same way. The man walked by him and sat down in the other chair across the table and smiled. "Its good to get to meet and thank it person the man who saved me." He reached his hand across the table, "The names Draco, Draco Alucard." Greg took his hand and shook it, he liked this man. He could tell just from that statement, and how the man carried himself that he was going to enjoy working with him. "Greg Johnson, don't mention the battle it was something that anyone would have done, plus I didn't get the bastard anyways, so why is it you guys need help?" He couldn't help calling him sir, it was a force of habit. "Please, I hate sir call me Draco. Well let's get to the matters at hand, I think that we have some parts to help you increase your MS's potential greatly..."Greg didn't even let him finish the sentence. "Please, don't mention upgrading, or anything else. I have my big..my suit right where I want it. I know the weapons are a little outdated, but they're mine." Draco smiled, apparently he'd already had prepared for Greg to say something along those lines. "I figured as much, I do think that if you let my people take a look at your existing weapons we can help." Greg knew Draco wouldn't take no for an answer, however, he'd been told not to allow anyone to look at the suits capabilities. The suit still held some secrets, and the Namelessones wouldn't trust anyone until they proved to be allies. "I'm sorry, my superiors won't let me consent to any aspect of my suit to be examined, but if your guys have some weapons that you think may be good, or if you can upgrade the weapons I brought with me, have them feel free." Draco nodded, Greg had a feeling a new set of weapons was already waiting on him. Draco was definateally in control of the conversation, he went into detail about the plans to attack the construction site, and other key points. Greg listened intently, the plan seemed solid enough. "I have one question for you though, would you mind if I asked your input on something?" Greg thought they were done for the day. He had something he needed to do before he retired for the night. "I'm wanting to make some upgrades to my suit, you wouldn't happen to have any ideas would you?" Greg thought about it, he ran the small part of the battle he saw Draco participate in. He seemed to be at one with his suit, the only problem he could think of was speed. "I think your suit fights with a similar problem as mine, speed. You have a lot of skill, but in my opinion speed is the one thing we're both lacking." "Well if you want, I can have my...nevermind I'm sure that you're happy with the way your suit is. I'll think about what you said though." Greg shook the mans hand again and stood up. He started out of the room, and glanced back at Draco. "Oh I have one more question for you, I know that we have another meeting with the one you called Faust and some other higher ups to get the ball rolling. But could you maybe see if that cute receptionist, Jenna, would meet me at the tavern tonight?" Greg didn't wait for a reply. He walked out of the room and headed for his. He had to get on the phone with his people, he wouldn't divulge anything yet. But he'd at least let them know that these guys could be trusted, who knew. Maybe this alliance could help bring about the end to the judges once and for all.

The realization of who he was filled John with a new sense of purpose. He thought he'd be confused, afraid, feel like he had no control of his destiny when he looked upon that mural. But instead he felt like the man he always knew he would become, a hero. Before he knew it, his staff appeared in his hand. He could feel the weight of the halberd attachment on his back, with the million memories that rushed into him he knew he hated to use it. Attaching the blade to his staff meant someone was to die, and that was the last thing John....Ryo wanted. He knew every life was precious, but hell this was an army of undead mummies, the darklord, and the biggest little ***** in his school, well second biggest after Victoria. He unslung the blade and slowly screwed it on the end, eyeing up his enemies. There were around 10 mummies and the two big baddies. They were at a severe disadvantage, he'd just hoped the others realized who they were. He glanced over and saw both Tetra and Victoria had weapons in hand, they must've realized everything as well. Eon was staring directly at John, he knew at once why. As the many memories flooded back, John remembered it was his father that struck Luthian down and Eon had always targeted Ryo as being responsible. "So you finally remember everything. This is fitting, among all these ancient artifacts of our past you will die." Eon smiled menacingly "Don't worry boss, I'll take care of these three. They can't take me, their powers aren't fully awake yet." Catherine said with a cocky tone "No, allow the soldiers to do it. You've already failed me enough when it comes to these three" Eon just glanced at catherine and the girl cringed. "Finish them off quickly boys" The mummies started advancing, 4 came directly at John. Their speed was amazing for things that have been dead for centuries. Ryo's powers had began to awaken in John, however, and though he knew they were moving faster than most people could. They were no match for John. He stabbed forward, impaling the first mummy, John smiled as he saw how fast he was. His smile quickly faded as the mummy he stabbed kept coming, apparently undead meant can't die that easily. He put his foot in the things chest, kicked himself into a backflip ripping the spear end from it, while in the air he loosed his grip and allowed the weapon to slide from his hands. At the last moment, he gripped the end and when he landed went into a spin. Severing the lead mummies head from its body with the axe like blade, dropping him dead to the ground. The next two came at him at the same time, side by side. John was still in motion from the first encounter, he kept his spinning motion and drove his weapon into the side of the first. It made it about halfway through him before getting lodged. John reversed his stance, dropped his shoulder, and sent the second of the two head over heels overtop of him. He began a spin, using his leverage and newfound strength to spin the weapon, with the first mummy still attached, he brought it behind him and over his head. Slamming it down upon the mummy that went over his head. The two collided with a splat, the weight of the mummy attached to his spear crushed the others head. John had the one that was still alive pinned, he walked over and smashed its head with his heel. The final mummy had veered from John and charged Victoria who was engaged in battle herself. She didn't see it coming up behind her. John couldn't make it in time, he remembered the ice wall he created in Eon's temple. If he could do that, he wondered if....John made a throwing motion with his hand. As if by magic, all the water vapor in the room seemed to swarm into a water spear, that quickly froze in flight into an ice spear. It impaled the mummy right in the skull, driving it past Victoria and Tetra, and straight into the wall. John smiled, it seemed that the all powerful Eon could be beaten. He turned towards the two women, unfortunately fair play was not in their plan. As he turned, Catherine had already rushed him. And by the time he was turned around, she had made a ball of electricity and slammed him with it. The attack sent him into the air, slamming into a shelf of old antiques. The electricity surged through him, making his muscles twitch and causing him to cry out in pain. It subsided quickly though and he was back on his feet quicker than she anticipated. She saw him get up, stopped and squared off with him. He had a feeling, if the other two didn't finish with those mummies soon. Catherine would kill him.

The year is 2085, John Conner has been dead for years and the machines are gaining ground day after day. They don't eat, they don't sleep, they don't stop. In 2050 all groups of humans have been slaughtered, except the few that remain as slaves for various reasons, and one last group of rebels. The rebel encampment is still strong, they move around every day and their numbers are still high. They still house over 200 people, but everyday they lose someone. About 3 years ago they developed a prototype humanoid that was supposed to turn the tide of the war. It was able to do so much, it could manipulate the elements, teleport, telekenisis, heal itself, it had blasters in its palm that delivered a blast of directed heat with a temperature that of the core of the sun, but fired in a way that it gave no bleed off. It was perfection, it flew at speeds over mach 8, carried a gattling gun, mini rocket launchers it was the answer. The humans were so confident, they didn't bother making anymore. The machine was perfect, it destroyed over half of skynet's army in a matter of weeks. The war was soon to be over, but it wasn't to be. Somehow, Skynet hacked into the prototype "iron man"'s brain. You would have think the humans would have learned their lesson, but of course they didn't. They didn't plan on Skynet being strong enough to take over their perfect creation, but it did. Soon it came back hunting them, in one day the rebels lost over 300 of their over 600 people before shutting Iron man down. 3 years later, reports have come about that Skynet has remade the humans Iron man and they have been seen in the air patroling. In a last ditch effort, the humans have perfected another. This time however, its a suit to be piloted by a human. In this way, Skynet had no way of controlling it. Though it came at a price, the first suit had all the capabilites of the first. They quickly found a human body couldn't handle the strain, and the first pilot, James Conner, John Conner's Grandson died as a result. Instead, they took the different powers of the suit and put them into several different suits. The suits all offered doubled strength and increase speed to the wearer. The flight system was shot though, as a human body couldn't withstand the force. The rebels had to resort to transporting their team with either helicopters or by train. The tide of war was indeed turning, but would it be in their favor? Okay, I obviously thought of this after watching the new Iron Man movie. The story revolves around our team of furturistic "Iron Men"(or Women). The suits are not as strong as the one from the movie, they can take some small arms gun fire but anything larger greatly reduces the power. Sign-Ups. Name: Age: Appearance: Your character not the suit, the suits all look like the one from the movie, though the color is customizable. Personality: Suit Color:(Be descriptive/Creative) Suit Power: (What power did you take away from the original design? The ones I listed in the intro are just examples. Basically anything you can think of (within reason) is acceptable. Suit Primary Weapon: Other than your power, could be a blade, gun (big or small), rockets, missiles, etc. Suit Secondary Weapon: Smaller weapon, could be a blade, smaller gun, hidden missle. Bio: The story begins just before our last training excercise. Use this to give a little introduction to your character, just make sure he ends up in the Main conference room with the rest of the characters. I'll post mine once I see how the story is received.

I drank coffee until I joined up in the guard. Through basic training of course there was no coffee to be found, and afterwards when I got to tech school I sort've enjoyed the feeling of not being slave to it. I learned something from one of my instructors that really helped me. Simply put, water can really help. Of course it can't give you that quick boost coffee can, but if you keep yourself hydrated it aids with mental clarity and is both better for you, and better at keeping you awake then coffee. Im not a medical expert to make an official call that it works that way. It very well could have just been something that doesn't work at all, but the thought of it makes it work, sort've a subconscious thing. But either way, I haven't had a cup of joe in years. Though after my trip to England I've been big on tea, the best kind've tea? Green tea ice cream from Korea, yes I know not really tea, but hey its good.

Ashton smiled as he walked up behind the others. He could see the intimidation in the younger agent's face, it made him think about his first encounter with a chaos. He stepped up beside Alia, unstrapped his halberd and tapped her with the handle. "Why is this thing still here? It doesn't even look strong enough to stand up let alone take this many of us to take it down." Alia was always more aggressive when it came to battles, and this was no different. She drew back her bow and loosed an arrow straight at the beast, it put its watery arms up to block, but the arrow passed through striking it in the shoulder. "Jarvis, did it have those arms a second ago?" Alia asked as she drew another arrow, "No." Ashton scanned the area looking for the problem, as he scanned the football stadium, he at once noticed the man sitting atop the stands. Though he'd never seen him before, he knew he had to be the cause. chaos' sometimes changed form, but he'd never seen something like this. The chaos reard back its arms and swung them at the group, Ashton pointed at the left arm to signal Alia to take care of it. As the giant arms approached, Alia slung her bow and lifted her hand at once a jet of flames lept out, instantly evaporating most of the arm, causing the remainder to harmlessly swing past the group. Ashton had the other, as the arm came towards the group from the right he charged. Spinning his halbred over his head, he went into a spin. He sliced down full force hacking the arm in half. The part still attached to the beast fell short of the group, the other half harmlessly splashed them wtih water. Ashton put away the halbred and looked back at the stand were the man seemed to be sipping his coffee, unaware Ashton had him pegged. "You guys take care of this, I'll be right back." Ashton ran to the bottom of the stands, closed his eyes and grabbed the man with his mind. He could hear the man cursing, but with Ashton out of sight he couldn't get a bead on him. Ashton had dealt with those that controlled water before, they were not to be taken for granted. But with Ashton out of sight, there was nothing he could do to him. Ashton held him upside down over the group, if he tried anything else he would drop him to his death. He opened his eyes and smiled as he watched the rest of the group's battle with the chaos.

I'm in urgent need of a banner for an RP that's getting ready to get underway. Its sort've short notice but I can give anyone who can help all the information they need. Basically what it would be, would be the title of the story inside a square (I'll fill in on the colors as well). There would be little....I guess bubbles of sorts (sort've like the spirits that float around on FFX). And honestly that would be it, it's not anything elaborate. Just something I wanted for a story me and a couple other friends are planning on starting up at the end of the week. Anyone who thinks they can help, please let me know ASAP. Thanks

We all have movies that we've watched and love that are "off the beaten path". Movies that may not have been in theatre's but we found, watched, and just loved. What are your favorites? I thought of the idea for this thread the other day when my fiance and I had a scary movie night. We rented all of "The 8 films to Die for". Yes there were a couple that weren't that great, but there were a few that were awesome. I'll go ahead and just put all 8 of those on my list, I can't remember the names of all so I'm gonna look them up and post them all tomorow (lame I know but I'm restricted on my time here at work). I'm also going to add, The Onion Movie which is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. For those of you who've never heard of it, it's an entire movie based on a fake news cast. Doesn't sound like much, but its hillarious. Also, just to name another one Hard Candy, which stars the girl from Juno (can never remember her name). Basically she plays a not so nice young model to be. It's another one that's a must watch.

RPG Knights: Fall of Camelot (M [V, L, SC,])
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Theater
Abel suddenly felt uncomfortable. He liked Scar, he seemed the most level headed of the bunch, but for some reason when he wore that damn helmet it felt as though he was staring directly at you while you talked to him. "So what do you think about this Brimlith guy, do you think he's the real deal?" Abel asked, trying not to stare back at the man. Scar never said much, he was always quick to the point and that was it, and as usual his response was the same way. "I think merlin trusted him" "Well I suppose you're right, I don't know for some reason I don't feel like I'm ready to lead. To tell you the truth, the thought of it scares me." Though Abel was truly afraid to lead, he was usually too full of pride to let anyone know that. Scar was the only person he would ever say anything like that to. "It'l come, just give it time. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we'll follow you. Arthur and Merlin both trusted you." There it was, short and too the point. There was also a lot of depth there, Abel saw how he was trying to compare the trust Abel received to the trust Brimlith got from Merlin. Abel rose to his feet, "Thanks Scar, I needed to hear that. Be prepared first thing in the morning, I'm sure that's when the wizard will be contacting us." Abel walked out of the room and ran smack into Tetra who looked to be heading to her room. Abel was hesitant the most around Tetra, he wasn't sure how to take the whole "Drinking blood to survive" thing. Though she was tough in battle, he always expected her to snap. "Back in from a feeding?" Abel said, a little more aggressive than he had intended. Tetra had apparently took offense to the comment, "No, I just came in from a little walk. If you must know, father." She stormed away. Abel considered going after her to apologize, but decided he didn't to confront her when she was mad, he'd just apologize in the morning. Abel returned to his room and laid awake. He wouldn't get any sleep this night, he was too anxious, and afraid. He'd seen first hand how strong Grum was, he was there when Grum bested Arthur himself in a private sparing match the two had. Yes Arthur was older, but somehow that old man was able to call out power from excalibur that made him invincible in battle. Grum was the first and only person to ever beat him, and abel saw it. How in the heck were they supposed to beat him? Especially when excalibur wouldn't do anything special for abel. It was just another sword when he wielded it. Abel shut his eyes and tried to forget everything, he knew he wouldn't and would lie awake all night. But he was going to try. -
I'm in for this one for sure, one question though. Could you give a rough sign-up sheet with exactally what you're looking for. Or just pm me with exactally how you want the sign-up to look like and I'll edit this post. I'm gonna go ahead and do personality 4, I think everyone needs a sociopathic side.

I never used to mind doing chores. Before my fiancee started nursing school we split the chores 50/50. For the past year I've been working full-time plus doing all the house work. So sufficet to say I'm at the point where I can't even cook dinner without cringing at the thought of having to wash dishes, and then wash the dish rags/towels. I don't mind laundary as much, like Allamorph said when you're doing laundary for one or two people you can just sort've "set it and forget it". I feel bad for someone who does laundary for 5 people like Knuckle's girl though, that's a lot of folding and a lot of loads.

~sorry about the abscence, I had drill this weekend and couldn't make it to a comp~ John and Tetra rounded a corner and entered the dino room. John had always been fascinated with history, mostly european, but history in general. He'd just always been fond of tales of heroism. Tetra jumped into one of the specimen areas and signaled the other two. "hey guys, let's hide here. It's the perfect place, you can see out but not in." John and Victoria looked at each other as if to say, "Oh dear god, are we actually still following her" they reluctantly joined her. As the three crouched behind a stack of dino bones, John started to hear a funny sound. "You guys here that? It sounds like somebody moaning." He looked around as much as his view could. Tetra poked him, when he looked she had a look of terror on her face. "Did...Did you really here someone moan?" Victoria snapped at Tetra, "Don't listen to him Tetra, he's just being a jerk" She stuck her tongue out at him and stood up. "See there, nothing...he...g..guys" you could here the fear in her voice. John and Tetra stood up at once, standing at the entrance to the room were 3 nasty looking mummies. They made their way toward the group with sickening, slow walks. Looking at how slow they were John grew cocky and rose up. "Look at them, they couldn't catch a cold." His smile quickly faded as the three mummies stopped and looked at each other. With sicking cracks, bones mutated, twisted, snapped, and all at once stopped. The legs that were barley usable one second, now looked like normal legs wrapped in bandages. John gulped and turned to the others. "Guys...I think it's best we run." John took the lead and started to sprint out of the room, the girls in tow.

What does your signature/title/avi say about you?
Drizzt Do'urden replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Well my signature is as old as I am (on the boards speaking.). It was my first attempt at poetry, and it was significant to the time in my life when I joined the boards. I thought it was catchy and made it my sig. after a few days of me being here, and it just stayed. I've thought about adding a banner to it, or something else. But everytime I do I change my mind, I have added the occasional hyperlink to a story I'm involved with, but that's been it. My avi has changed a million times. I've just never bothered with a picture that said anything about me. It changes with the seasons it seems. I'm in the process of saving up for my first tatoo here soon. I'm thinking that I'm going to get a picture of it when its all done and see how it looks (if not I'll just scan the image I had drawn for it) and post it. That will probably end up being like my signature and stay, well until I have my first child and I add to my tatoo. -
I stole your thread, so you go and steal my idea. :animesmil I think that would be a great idea. How would we go about doing it though? To me it would seem like we would have to use something like MSN or other client in which you can patch a large group of people in. Or is there some way on boards? A link, or specilized area we could use?

Gerg shielded his eyes as the door to the rail car opened. He had elected to stay with his gundam on the trip instead of taking one of the passenger cars. The inspecting guard apparently hadn't been informed. "Holy shit, Tom there's a guy in here!" He rushed inside to see if Greg was alive or not. After close examination he must've determined he was a threat and pointed his rifle in Greg's face. "Who the blazes are you?" Greg put his hand on the muzzle and pointed the gun away. "Please don't point that in my face, I would really hate to hurt a member of the group I'm here to help." The guard stared at Greg widemouthed, not quite sure how to take the man. Next the guard, who must have been Tom, stepped in. Apparently Tom was this guys superior because he was informed of who Greg was. "Stand down, that's the liason from the Nameless Ones. He's here to meet with Draco and Faust about getting our MS back. Sorry about that sir, I'll make sure this idiot washes your suit for you." Greg stood up and brushed the first guard on his way out of the car. "No, don't let him near my suit. It seems like you guys don't keep secrets very well. It seems like you guys don't have any secrets around here huh? Now where do I go to meet with this Draco guy?" The guard pointed him in the direction of what appeared to be the main building in the compound. Greg made his way out and paused as the guard called to him. "Sir, I'll have our men switch out these obselete weapons you are carrying, and replace them.." Greg whirled around towards the man and cut him off. "Do not touch my weapons!" He turned again and stormed off, he fought the urge to go punch the man in the face. Sure his weapons were "outdated" but he didn't here them complaining when he was saving their asses. Greg entered the large building. Inside there was a small desk with a very attractive young lady sitting behind the desk. Greg approached her. "Excuse m...me miss." Why the hell was he studdering. He didn't do that. "I..I'm Greg Johnson. I'm here to meet with....ummm...damn....Draco that's it." The girl smiled at him, Greg could feel his face get hot. "Well hello Greg, I'm Jenna. I'll see if I can't get someone to find him." Greg sat down, starring at the young beauty. Kicking himself for being such a dumbass, and waiting for someone to take him to see Draco.

Writing And then I woke up. (Apocolyptic weird dreams posting)
Drizzt Do'urden replied to outlawstar69's topic in Creative Works
I would say the fasting would be the main cause. You're depriving your body of nutrients it soley needs (which is why I assume you are taking the multi-vitamins now). Also,( though I don't know much about Ramadan, if I'm not mistaken its a muslim practice correct?) anytime you get involved with deep religion we all have thoughts like these. I'm not sure how the world end in your religon, but that type of end is typical for christians, the anti-christ and the great tribulation. It could also have nothing to do with either of them. If you've experienced a change in your life recentally, even a small one, your mind could be reacting to it in a "oh this is the end of the world" sort've thing. I've got a lot more I could say on the subject, but I'm probably going to bore someone. As far as me, i've never had an apocolyptic dream myself. Instead my dreams usually revolve around dying protecting someone I love. It's a trend that has been going on for the past year or so, it's actually sort've depressing to have every dream, that you can remember, be about dying. And when I say dying I don't mean almost die and wake up, I mean full blown die and in some cases see my own funeral from a floating above perspective. -
I'd be all for it chibi, but I think it's probably null in void. It would've been nice if we could've left the convention center post up without being closed, just to see how we did. But people were online and not posting in it, and then it was shut down:animecry:. I don't think we'll be able to try until either the counter gets reset, or someone with more connections gets the admins involved.

I know we have an area for new people to introduce themselves already, but I'm wondering what draws you to Otakuboards. Not just what drew you to start posting, but what keeps you coming back? For me another member turned me onto the boards during a bad time in my life. I haven't talked to her in ages, but Athena got me to start posting. We were in tech-school just after basic training and I was about as low as could be. She told me about the RP aspect of the boards and before I knew it I was hooked. What keeps me coming back? It's more than just the RP or the stories in the anthology. On Otaku there's no Tabu subject, you can talk about anything with great people. Sure you get your dissagreements, but you can have a drag out fight with someone on one subject, and then turn around and be on their side on another. It's a truly remarkable thing!

John took a second to check himself out, at the last moment Tetra had shoved him, keeping him out of harms way. She however took the full force of the falling tree. John could hear her let out a cry of pain, he couldn't help her though. Catherine ran through the black portal Eon had used just a second before. John looked at Tetra who was pinned underneath the tree, and then towards the portal. John stripped off his rubber armor and ran to Tetra. He wedged his staff into the ground and began prying at the tree. "No John, you'll break your staff. You'll need that to help Victoria." John had a feeling that wouldn't happen, for some reason this staff had come to him though he wasn't sure why yet. The tree slowly raised off the ground giving Tetra the room she needed to pull free. Her leg was obviously broken, but she was free. "Tetra, make your way to that house and get some help. I'm gonna go teach that old hag a lesson." John sprinted towards the portal which began to grow smaller. He dove through just as the portal shut. The feeling of being "teleported" was sickening. It felt as though his body was being turned inside out, a cold wind passed through his very soul as he was deposited in a large, ornately designed room. Catherine was bragging to Eon about how she beat the two with no trouble, and Eon was still holding Victoria. "You should've seen it boss, it was awesome." Catherine bragged They hadn't noticed John yet, he crept behind a statue where something caught his eye. On an alter like thing sat a strange metal object, like he'd known the use John grabbed it. It was a piece for his staff, it was something he felt he'd used before. he attached it to the end, giving it an axe/spear look. "A halbred...." John whispered allowed. He'd never heard that word, but it seemed right. He crept up the stairs slowly, making no noise whatsoever listening to Eon rant. "You were supposed to make sure Ryo came to you nit wit, why do I even bother with..." She didn't get a chance to finish her sentence. John sprang on her, connecting with a foot in her back sending her sprawling out. He finished the manuever with a backflip landing expertly on his feet, freeing Victoria. John grabbed her hand and headed down the stairs, catherine in hot pursuit. "Common, we've got to get out of her V." Huffing and puffing Victoria yelled at him, "You still have time to insult me, even after all that just happened." As they reached the bottom of the stairs, a huge blast of lighting rocked the temple. And standing at the bottom was Eon. "Stop!" The two obliged her by cutting to the right and out a side passage. "John where are we going?" Victoria ripped her hand away, John hadn't realized he still had it. "Well, I thought maybe....you might know" John said embarassed his plan didn't have anything better. As the two rounded a corner John stopped in his tracks. "John, hurry we have to find a way out of here." John didn't answer her, he just pointed ahead. On the wall there was a beautifuly painting. Right in the center John and Victoria...It was a picture of John's dream.... Victoria approached it slowly, brushing the dust away from the plaque underneath. "Ryo and Capia: Sacrifice. John it's, us. Well they look an awful lot like us." "Have you figured the reason for that yet? Because I'm sick of throwing hints around" The voice was Eon's she appeared behind John. Catherine on the otherside behind Victoria "They aren't very smart are they boss?" John felt something well up inside of him. At once he thrusted his hands out, a wave of blue energy blasted forth. A wall of ice formed in front of Catherine, and another in front of Eon sealing them off from them. "John, if we can get back to where Eon's portal was. I think I can use Capia's powers to give it more power and open it back up." John didn't waste anytime waiting, he grabbed her hand and ran towards the only other passage out of that chamber, he hope'd it would lead them back to that main room.

Colour: My hair sort've changes. It gets dark brown almost black in the winter time, and during the summer months lightens up a little bit. I have a spot in the back of my head (right where your soft spot was when you were little) thats blonde. Have you ever dyed your hair?: I let my girlfriend my freshmen year talk me into frosting my tips. My fiancee is trying to get me to do it now, so I probably will when my enlistment comes up next september. What colours?: Frosted my tips...blonde i guess Length/ style: I keep it short all the time, I'm pretty anal about getting my haircut every two weeks. I keep it buzzed with a zero guard on the sides and faded up to the top. I keep my bangs a little longer than the rest and spike them straight up. As for the oppise sex thing, I like a girl who takes care of her hair. Keeps it around shoulder length. And as far as color goes, I've dated blondes, brunettes, and redheads. And I'd say my favorite hair out of all would be my fiancee's which is light brown, but she hightlights it blonde. A close second would be my last girlfriend (hope this never gets out), but she had long (about mid-back) platinum blonde hair that was kind've wavy.

Hmm....I think its sort've interesting myself. Tae-Kwon-do is a pretty mild martial art, not saying its not a workout rather its just less intense as say brazilian jujitsu or muay thai. So the thought of doing it in your room, or in a smaller space is feezable. I am curious as to why you picked that though? It would seem to me that something like tae-bo or some sort've aerobics would be a better fit for just "working out". With them you have a solid workout, not a lot of slowing down to show you moves like there would have to be with Video Tae-Kwon-Do. Hmm, I know you were asking for advice but I wouldn't even have a clue, keep us filled in on how it goes. I'm really interested in this.

Not real sure what your post had to do with anything, but I feel argumentative. What happened to Jeff Hardy? You are obviously a fan so maybe you could tell me. He was awesome back in the early 2000's with his crazy off the wall high flying moves. Then he left and came back, now he's not very impressive at all. If he would've came out the way he is now I don't think he'd be as well liked. What do you think?
