1. The transmission was full of static and broken up, but the main part of the message got through. "Nameless....Tremor moving too.....Scavenger Leader Out" Amidst the other transmissions the "Oh help me's" and the "I'm going down" Finally a good one. As Greg turned to face the direction of the new foe, Marcus' voice rang out. "Greg, the Judge Tremor is engaged with a damaged Scavenger MS. I'm moving to assist." Greg brought up his radar, tracking Marcus and finding the location of the battle. He quickly found that the dueling MS's were too close to bother with using his rifle. He turned and fired his last 3 shots at the main battle and broke out of formation. As if on Cue the Colonel came up over the comm link. "Johnson, what in the hell are you doing? You and Marcus get your ass' back here. Allow the gunners to shread that Judge Tremor when he's dismantling that dumbass who got in his way." Greg dropped his Rifle and brought out his whip and desert eagle. He was going to save the knife until he needed it. "Marcus you heard him, drop your load and return to base. Sir, with all undue respect, I don't think the Scavengers would take to kindly to us letting their leader be cut down when he saved our butts!" Not waiting on a reply Greg dashed at the Tremor. The Scavenger caused a small amount of visible damage, but even from the distance Greg could tell it was only superficial. The pilot was experienced, and it was going to be a REAL battle finally. "Splash two Judge fighters for me, I'm heading on to assist with the assaulting Tremor." Marcus' came over the intercomm again. "Negative Marcus, he's too good. Look how he fights, he's not just some rook." As he knew he would, Marcus didn't listen. He saw him veer into view on the oppisite side of the Judge Tremor, unloading a volley from his internal Gattling gun. And just as he knew he would, the Tremor dodged with ease and fired a single volley in return, too quick for Marcus to avoid. Greg hung his head as he saw his friends jet go up in flames. "Big mistake you bastard!" Marcus called through an open hailing frequency. He fired 4 rounds from the eagle, 3 misses and 1 strike in the arm of the unit. He discared the weapon electing to use the knife instead. He turned his attention on the Scavenger's leaders MS who was still operable. "Thank you for the heads up sir, go relieve yourself. I'll handle it from here." He could hear the sound of the main unit meeting with the Judge's attack force at the Scavenger's back. With the mass quantities of bodies flying around, Greg doubted anyone would make it out alive. He did know, however, that he was going to take this MS down quickly. Even if he had to use all his suits power to do so. "Okay big buddy, let's do this." He said silently to his suit, Greg sprang forward leading with his whip, hoping to score a quick kill up close with his knife. He knew he was being reckless, but these weren't the only weapons he possessed.
2. Since we are closing in on the proposed date. I wanted to check and find out if A.) Anything had been discovered by a mod/admin about reseting the counter. and B.) I wanted to find out if it would be prefered that we post a "check-in" thread for anyone who gets on here in the Convention Center or the Lounge? As for now I'm going to assume the Convention center is going to be the best place to do it, unless I'm told otherwise. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm so juiced up about this.
3. Good to see another one of your ideas KG. Name: Tyler Gators Age: 22 Gender:male Blood type: B- Height: 6'3 Weight:210 Position(Pilot/Repairer): Pilot I'm having problems with my work PC so I'll post a picture tommorow.
4. "Fine fine Catherine, just be back here as soon as you get done! These two can afford to miss a lesson, but you on the other hand. This is your first lesson." Mr. Tatashki said sternly. John couldn't figure out what the hell hit him, it had to have been the same thing that hit Victoria a second ago. "Hey V can you walk?" He whispered to Victoria. "V? What the hell did you just call me?" She replied, her spirit apparently returning. "It's going to be your new nickname, I wanted to make sure I said it in front of everyone." John smiled and looked at Mr. Tatashki, "Sir I think we'll be fine, I'd hate for Catherine to miss any of your lesson today. Your class is so challenging, and I know from her last class that she's not to bright. So her missing even a single lesson would be devestating to her." John hoped he bought it. "Fine, whatever. You two get out of my class right now! Catherine sit down." "But sir?" "NOW!" John smiled as he helped Victoria to her feet and toward the classroom door. "I'm not sure why V, but you owe me and Mr. Tatashki one!"
5. Hmm, lots've room in this story for it too be good. Props on the idea darren. Name: Jason McGraft Age: 21 Gender: Male Village: Northwatch, one of the smaller of the 100 villiages. Northwatch is located in the frozen tundra of the North. The villiage is a prime location to raise a government imported Yak. Appearance: I'll add a picture tommorow morning, but for now; Jason's tall (6'3) with a muscular build. He usually is found in the characteristic furs people from that area have always worn. Occupation: Jason and his father hunt the Arctic Wolves, Bear, and other predators that threaten the Yaks within the Villiage's borders. Background: Jason was originally born and raised in Yunia. His father volunteer'd for a job that was supposed to help them be able to travel between villiages, a hunter by trade the job was supposed to be great. Instead the government stuck the family in Northwatch, to fend off the predators of the Alaskan Yak. Personality: Jason is pretty happy go lucky, it takes a good bit to "ruffle his feathers". But when it does watch out. From spending most of his life as a hunter protecting creatures, Jason has developed a bit of an "overprotective" streak. And tends to take new people under his wing to ensure they won't be harmed in a conflict. Color: Red
6. Power ranger? I know I could've just checked this out online, but I feel like keeping the discussion going by asking which one? I was a HUGE power ranger freak when I was young, and I mean young. Back when there was no Green one, and when they were just the original cast. (I'm thinking I was like 8-9, man is the series that old).
7. John smiled after Victoria turned away and headed into the classroom. He couldn't help but smile, he hated her so and pissing her off was the best part of his day. "Are you guys at it again John?" the voice was Tetra's. "Aren't we always?" He said with a smile as he turned towards her. He'd felt a connection with Tetra since they were younger, unfortunateally she insisted on John and Victoria being friends, and tried and tried to get them to "hang out". "You know one day you'll thank me for pushing you guys together." "Oh yeah, how do you think?" Tetra called to him over her shoulder as she walked into the classroom not far behind Victoria, "You'll thank me when you both get to enjoy the pleasure of my company together, instead of sharing me." John couldn't stifle his laughter, and he lost it right there in the hallway. He didn't even sobber up when the bell rang and he wasn't in his seat. As he walked in, a stern Mr. Tatashki gave him a look that would kill. He did finally quit smiling when he realized the only available seat was right in front of Victoria. "Damn new girl, stealing my seat. Can't pick on Victoria from up..." "MR. CARPENTER, FIND YOUR SEAT" John quickly sat down, cross-armed and pissy. This wasn't going to be a good class.
8. Wolf had been waiting on a new mission for too long. He stared at himself in the mirror as he strapped his katana to his back, and his blade on his hip. Level 5, that's pretty hardcore. Guess it's time to put on the serious face. He picked up his small bag of "toys", card readers, code encrypters, Ipod. And a few other goodies, some small range emp units, flash bangs, and a few other small odds and ends. He left the small room with a sigh, it had been too long since he'd been on a mission. He proceeded to the loading bay and waited with Needles, neither of them said anything.
9. John smiled at the new girls crack about Victoria's story. Even though he felt like he'd heard it before, and he did really enjy it. Any diss thrown in Victoria's direction was a win in his book. He couldn't help himself, when Victoria sat down John flailed his arms trying to get her attention. She looked at him with knowing eyes, waiting on his insult. "What? I just wanted to tell you your report was pretty good." Victoria didn't even give him time to get to his punch line before turning away. Though the two had several classes together in the past, they just never could quite get along. John would torture her brains out, and Victoria would follow suit. The teacher snapped him out of his thoughts, "John, since you seem to be critiquing Victoria's story. Why don't you come up here and give us your report?" John groaned as he got up out of his seat. As he was walking up the aisle of desks, something hit his foot hard sending him to the ground. As he arrose to the laughter of the class-room, he looked down at his feet and saw the new girls backpack sitting in the aisle where it hadn't been a second before that. "Mr. Carpenter, your report NOW!" John heard the teacher, but didn't care. He looked at the new girl with a sneer, that is until she looked up at him. When he gazed upon her face he saw something in her eyes that made him sick. Though she just stared at him smiling, "Guess you should pay more attention huh slick." Just then the bell rang signaling the end of the period. "Thank God" John thought to himself. He really wasn't sure how he was going to explain his report, so he just walked out the room and discarded it in the trash. Though he ball'd it up, you could still see the tiltle of his paper, "Ryo and the Darklords", he still couldn't figure out how his report was on the same subject as Victoria's. But he brushed it off as just coincidence. OOC: Hope I didn't "reveal" too much ED, just let me know if this is okay.
10. "Attention, Attention, all authorized personel please report to your command stations!" The voice woke Greg up from a very deap and pleasent sleep. The first one he'd gotten in awhile. "Attention, attention, all authorized personel please report to your command stations." "God damn computer voice, I heard you the first time" Greg rolled over and slowly got out of bed. "Greg, this is the real deal man. Hurry up, we can't take off without you!" The voice of Greg's RIO Marcus rang into his room. "It looks like the judges are attacking the scavengers. Colonel sent us the link a little while ago, didn't you get it?" Greg glanced at his watch, apparently he'd turned it on silent mode, he quickly put on his suit and raced to the hangar where his "Big Buddy" was sleeping. Everyone thought of their mobile suits as machines, and junk. But Greg had a different idea, there had been areason he and the god model gundam "linked". Through all the flashing red lights and people running around, Greg still stopped for a minute to look at his mobile suit. Though it looked identical to the models the rest of his group were piloting, his was the only one that was able to fully utilize the VR combat room. And he loved it, "Private we have you suited up with your Eagle, Titanium whip, Energy Knife, and dual-single hand automatic pistols to get ya started." Corporal Steve Savage met Greg at the platform. "Sorry Steve, drop the automatics and give me the "Big Boy" rifle, I'll let those bastards know where on our way." The big boy rifle was Greg's favorite weapon to date. Being one who fancies older technology, the Big boy was an old 50-calibur rifle humans used to use years ago. It's range was around 2 1/2 miles with enough accuracy to hit anything if used in the right hands. After a quick switch out, Greg jumped into his suit and pressed the series of buttons placing it into "cruise" mode in which he wouldn't be placed into the combat room. It was those times the suit lost a lot of its thrust. That's why the "nameless ones" were using jet fighters as RIOs (Radio Incercept officers). They would break away once the suits went into combat mode, well some would. There were some crazy son's of bitches out there like his Rio Marcus did, he always stayed for the whole thing. More than a time or two saving someone in a suit's life. "Please enter launch sequence." The automated computer voice he'd come to know and love so much was right on que. "Private Greg Johnson Sierra November 3 3 5 7 2 5 9 3 1 0" , that was the winning combo. "Welcome Greg, downloading mission parameters from home unit....scanning...scanning ready for take off." Here it came, Greg's favorite part. "3.....2....1....launch" With that the mobile suit took off like a rocket. Through the maze of tunnels the Nameless Ones had dug throughout the years, the tunnels were so intricate that no man could pilot a jet or suit out of them. It HAD to be done with autopilot, one of the safety features incase of Judge Attack. With an explosion Greg shot out of the earth and into the blue sky, he looked around in amazement as he saw the deployment. 20 Suits at their RIO's 40 pilots in total rulling the sky. The voice of Colonel Shultz, the squad's leader came over the intercom. "Attention all, due to the sensetivity of working with an ally that doesn't expect out help. We will lead off with the snipers and long range missles from the RIOs. All Rios, I'm talking to you Marcus, are to disperse as soon as missiles are launched to prevent any chance of a "friendly fire" incident. All troops switch to battle mode, T-minus 4 minutes until contact" Greg hated the Colonel, he was the one person keeping Greg from running his own squad. Greg moved to the front of the snipers and switched into VR mode, he always love the whir of the mechanisms as it dropped him into the room. Everything lit up at once, he suddenly saw EVERYTHING around him. He still marveled at the blue outlines of the weaponry and armor he now wore. He raised the rifle, cameras switched to the scope view. He saw his first target and waited until he heard the words he knew was coming. "Fire at will!" Greg was the first, as always, to squeeze his shot off. He loved the way the distant mobile suits head snapped forward, he squeezed off a second round, this one took the suit down to its knees, and one last shot dropped the suit silent. It's battle was done. The downside to Greg's choosen weapons were their age and over all effectivness. The others could drop most mobile suits in 1 or 2 shots, but Greg always needed the third with his. It was okay, he didn't mind. He still had 12 more rounds, and they were quickly going to be gone.
11. That must be later on down the line, like I said I only made it through the first 100episodes, but I plan on checking out the next hundred either at work today or tommorow. I def. did NOT expect there to be that many episodes when I searched for the site.
12. I figured I'd use the template from the amplitheater thread and bring it here. Now everyone's played some fantastic videogames, and then there have been some so downright awful that we either didn't even bother to finish them, or didn't even bother to really start them. I'll lead things off with..... Dungeon Magic: An 80's first person DnD style game my dad bought for me when I was little, and oh my it was hard then. Well I kept ahold of all my old nintendo games and purchased a used console from the local Bargain box, and this game was horrible. It wasn't so much hard to play anymore, but it was horrendous. I know some people will say "Well of course it seems bad by today's standards". Just to nip that in the bud, I frequently used emulators and the like to play nintendo games online. I've beat both legend of zelda's tons of times, final fantasy, quest, all the old classics. Dungeon Magic was downright awful... Moving more modern. Chicken Shoot (Wii): My fiancee and I really liked playing Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for teh Wii. So we thought we'd like another shooting game, we tried the Duckhunt style from Wii Play, and it was fun. We then moved to Chicken Hunt....oh my gosh save for a few cute animations this game was insanley boring. It was the same thing over and over and over and over...... There are several others I can think of, but that would defeat the purpose of this being an opinion thread.
13. hmm...sorta got off subject here huh? I'd just like to add a bit of, fuel to the original Alien debate. What do you think about the possibility that supernatural events have been caused by Alien influences? Have you ever noticed that you can count the number of socks you have, write that number down, and after a month. Even if you take your socks off and put them straight into the laundary hamper every time. You STILL manage to lose socks? (Instead of probing could they be taking our socks?) On a more serious note, I did mean what I said about supernatural events. Things like, now I can't remember but I think it's called St. Elmo's fire that used to visit sailors? Or the Aura Bori-Alus (No idea if I came close in the spelling of that, but unlike SOME people, I don't feel I need to check everything I write with online dictionaries/encyclopedia's to find the biggest synonym for whatever word I'm using to sound more intelligent (you know who you are) ). Now I know we know "why" the aba exists. But what about the possibility that the egyptians were visited, why else would the gods/goddesses looks so strange?
14. I just checked out the first 100 episodes of 8-bit theatre, and all I have to say is AWESOME! It's written with a fantastic grouping of characters. Anyone wanting a good laugh should def. Check it out. The best part about it is, so far at least, the episodes are short but every characer gets to show his/her full character I.E. Black Mage always does something evil, fighter says something stupid, thief tries to steal, Red mage quotes DnD or some other crazy RP adventure booklet.
15. Abel drew his blade as a pair of guards charged him, though he lacked size Abel was much quicker than them. He dodged as one swung a nasty looking mace his way, as he started to strike, however, the other swung his battle axe down straight at Abel's head. "Son of a bitch" Abel started to spin, and narrowly avoided losing his whole arm. As he finished his spin he lunged with excalibur, finding a chink in the axe weilding barbarian's armor, just below the neck. He went down, howling in pain as his lifeblood pourd from his torn juggular. Before Abel could launch another assault, the mace of the other barbarian was within inches of him. Suddenly the barbarian went down, hard. The mace stuck Abel, not with enough force to wound him, but enough to knock him down. He watched as the barbarian shook violently from what appeared to be electricity running over his body. Abel looked around to see where it could've been coming from, he noticed a young man in the shadows pointing at the barbarian. "You'd better run him through Knight." Abel was shocked that he knew what they were. Not wasting anytime though, Abel drove his blade straight through the barbarians back. Stopping his tremors and ending his life. After finishing the two off, Abel looked to his comrades, he gritted his teeth as he saw Rika drop another guard. She was quick, but oblivious to the fact that there was another behind her. Abel focused his energy, trying to find out what it was that gave him the ability to teleport, he felt himself start to phase out and as he was brought his sword in an arcing motion. He came too just behind the guard, and just before he cut Rika down. Abel's blade easily cut through the chain mail armor the guard was wearing. Dropping him to the ground, suddenly Rika whirled around, blade heading for Abel's midsection. "Whoa Whoa, easy it's me" Abel parry'd her attack and smiled "You owe me one", he turned and watched his fellow knights, looking for that young man who saved him just seconds before. "Could that be him? So young, how could he have been as old as Merlin?" Abel heard Sven's warcry from behind him, followed quickly by a sickening thud sound, indicating the big man dropped another guard.
16. I'm using a thread made awhile ago as basis for this "game". Basically the first poster picks a category, it can be anime, videogame, movie, cartoon, etc. Then using spoiler tags the poster adds the answer at the bottom. The next poster does the same and so on. I'd thought about some mods to it, such as instead of posting the answer you'd just wait for the first correct guess. Then that person could go on, but not everyone can be on all the time for that to work. So let's just stick to the first way, unless anyone REALLY wants to do it that way then we can work it out.... Category: Videogame Character This character is taken into the future by a creature whose name brings terror to christians everywhere. He is/was a star player in his videogames signature soccer style game. In order to save the world, he must wake up the thing dreaming him, knowingly making him dissapear since he is only a dream. The characters main girl, who he is in love with, spends the next title in the series searching for him. Answer:
Tidus (FFX)
17. My fault, my neice just turned 9 and I don't think she can make it through a whole movie like that either. Soul Survivor It star'd Luke Wilson, the amazingly hot eliza Dushku, and Mellisa Sagemiller. Talk about a horror movie that made NO sense, well in the end it came together but was CLICHE out the wazoo.
18. I know I've already talked to you about it, but just to let everyone else know. I'm going to alter my character, John, into a reincarnation of Ryo.
19. I grew up in a farming community, and I understand how the Idea of GM crops seems to "Save the farmer and consumers money" but the truth of the matter is it actually hurts the farmer. Yes cheaper to grow does sound awesome, but the reason it costs so much to raise natural crops is the pesticides/fertilizers and other means. Cheaper to grow just means more competition and less money. If any Joe can purchase a few acres and produce these "easy grow" crops, than many rural areas will lose out. In addition, if you are getting mass quantities of corn(for example) than there is going to be MUCH less demand for it. Meaning more wasted crops for farmers. Besides, the biggest expense on a farm is the cost of fuel; so in order for there to even be a reason to go to something like this you'd have to get a group of...hmm not even sure what the technical name is, but a group of scientists dedicated to the altering of carbon atoms to allow for super fast decomp. I also think that before GM crops would even be accepted by the populous, there would have to be at least a generation gone by to see what sort've adverse side effects they could have on human consumption.
20. My fiancee had never been out of the state until our past anniversary (Sept. 6th), so I decided to take her out to Pittsburgh and check out the carneige museums of art and natural history. I strongly recommend anyone from near there ( The 2 1/2 drive was WELL worth it) check it out. The exhibits were fantastic, I'm more into the natural history side than then art and her vice versa. So we took two days out to see EVERYTHING, I can't remember the specs but there's something like 5000 exhibits (sort've dissapointed that they classify EVERY painting as an exhibit and not just based on the artist though) They have everything from Dinosaur fossils (though I had to play santa killer and explain that they weren't ACTUAL fossils but molds.) They have an excellent staff and after some begging on my part, we were allowed back in the room where they actually make the molds and got to examine some actual dinos. Dream come true for me. The art side, though not my thing persoanlly, was impressive nonetheless. Everything from Divinci to Goya to contemporary and modern art.
21. Chapter 11: Meanwhile I ?Preparations are complete my lord; all detonators are in place and ready to go. This planet will be a pile of rubble in exactly 20 minutes? The messenger?s voice was withdrawn, frightened even. ?Do you now see what you have brought upon yourselves by allowing that wretch to leap off your planet and not turning him over as you were ordered to do?? The small man spoke with a voice that didn?t seem to belong to him. He held the high king up by one arm, choking the life out of him as he spoke. ?Did you honestly think I wouldn?t notice his trail and where it led?? He tossed him to the ground, where the old man coughed and gagged as his body tried to fill his lungs after almost passing out. The old man looked up; even beaten, bruised and brought close to death he still had a hateful look in his eyes where there should have been utter terror. ?The leaper did nothing to you or your ?reign?. All he did was try to find a place to rest from your constant pursuit. If I had to do it again I would make the same choice.? The smaller man once again picked the king up, this time by his shirt to ensure he wouldn?t miss what he had to say by panicking over the sudden loss of air again. ?I hope you?re happy with your choice, because you will live to watch your people die.? As the crew finished loading, the king was taken by his capture to an observation deck. The king lost his defiant look, and changed it out for one of sadness. ?They don?t even know what?s coming.? He turned and dropped to his knees he held his hands out to his sides as a show of submission. ?Please sire, I?ll help you find the leaper, just don?t hurt my people.? The man looked at the king with no emotion in his eyes, ?I accept. Guard, send a message to the bridge and tell them to stop the detonators.? The guard nodded and stepped out of sight. The king rose to his feet and looked at his planet. Suddenly there was an explosion; the king dropped back to his knees as everything he worked to obtain, the people he loved so much, and everything he knew was gone in an instant. ?You, you lied to me!? The king pulled a hidden dirk out of his boot and leapt at his capture. Side stepping him with no effort the dark man slammed the king into the wall, pinning him there. ?I guess I don?t have anything to bargain with huh. Would you change it now?? The dark man closed his eyes and began chanting something silently. The lights in the room flickered, small bolts of energy leapt off of him crackling with sheer power. Suddenly, the wall opened up and the vacuum of space took over the room. Sucking everything it could. The man released the King who opened his mouth to scream, but it was already too late. The dark man closed the rip in the wall as the king floated away. He wasn?t sure if it was the cold, or the vacuum ripping at his insides that killed the king. Frankly he didn?t care, he knew in which direction the leaper was going, the only problem was catching up. He smiled at the thought, because like the leaper he had all the time in the world.
22. Well I reached my character limit on my first 9 chapters. So this is where I'll start posting chapters 10+ here. Fittingly enough this is where I began telling story to my nephew (well really it was a mix between chapters 9 and 10). Enjoy, and I haven't heard from anyone in awhile concerning the story, so let me know what you think. Chapter 10: Hard First Day Jackson had never been trained in the use of weapons, so the blade didn't feel balanced and right. Instead it felt heavy, bulky, and not at all an extension of himself as he always thought a sword would feel. The knight, however, seemed to have no problem wielding the heavy looking spear, he thrust it over and over. It was all Jackson could do to role and dive out of the way. Finally after Jackson lost count of the number of times he had to evade the spear, the knight stopped and starred at him. “Why do you not fight back?” He asked cautiously, sizing Jackson up for what he could only imagine would be another barrage with the spear. “I don’t know why you’re trying to kill me? I didn’t do anything wrong!” Jackson spat back. The knight lifted his visor, in doing so he showed his age. The man was apparently old enough to be Jackson’s grandfather. He had pieces of his long white hair matted to his forehead with sweat, his skin looked tough and leathery, but his eyes were that of stone, they revealed how strong the old man really was. “By order of King Garith, no person shall be authorized to carry a weapon on their person. Surely you have heard this decree at some point in your short life? What is your name, and what province do you hail from?” Jackson noted the change in the knight’s tone. It seemed he either didn’t deem Jackson a threat, or he had already ran the possibilities of the fight through his head. Either thought didn’t reassure Jackson at all. “My name’s Jackson and I’m from….” Jackson hesitated; if he told him where he really was from he would never believe him, “from the distant west. A long way from King Garith’s rule. Suddenly, as quick as lightning the knight dropped his visor and raised his spear. “You lying dog, King Garith has ruled this entire planet for over 300 years. You must be a rebel dog; you will now die by the hands of Sir Thomas, his lord’s tenth knight!” Jackson knew there was no way Thomas was kidding. He quickly put his sword away; this wasn’t the time to learn swordplay. “Draw your weapon dog.” Jackson didn’t give him a chance to make the first move, he ran forward, closing the gap between the two in a heart beat. The knight was ready though, he thrust his spear straight towards Jackson. It was a narrow miss as Jackson dove, rolled, and came up with a forward kick straight into the knight’s center of gravity. Bingo, the kick landed sending the knight sprawling backwards, spear flying. Jackson was on him in an instant drawing his sword and pointing it at the chink in the armor at the base of the throat. “Tell me why I shouldn’t kill you right now Thomas?” Jackson did his best to sound intimidating, the old man had information he needed. He knew, however, there was no way he could kill someone. “I think it would be best just to kill him myself. Though murdering one of the Kings’s Knights would result in a punishment far, far worse than death young one.” Jackson couldn’t believe what he saw, like something out of a movie there was a small explosion just a few yards away to his right, a large plume of smoke reveled what looked like a man, clad entirely in black robes, standing there. Where a second ago there was nothing but an open field on a sunny day. “Now you WILL die rebel, let me introduce you to Gavin, the lord’s fifth Knight.” The old man’s voice was still as intimidating as it was just a few moments ago. This guy, Gavin, must have been the real deal. “Be quiet Thomas, next time I won’t come help. I should have let this one end you, but what would Lord Garith say if I let you die.” Gavin walked, or rather floated towards Jackson who tried to leap backwards, but was paralyzed by something. “Yes, you are a strong one aren’t you? I have a feeling you were lying about where you hail from. You don’t belong here do you?” Jackson knew his face revealed everything, he couldn’t help it. Here was a man floating in the air in front of him, who had somehow paralyzed him without doing anything, and he knew he was an alien of sorts.” Jackson had to do something, and do it quick. This had to be some sort of “magic” like from the stories his mother used to tell of King Arthur and his Magician Merlin. “So what happens now Sir Gavin, I surrender my sword and you two leave?” Jackson asked, he knew what the answer was, but he needed to find out just what this newcomer had in mind for him. “Nay, I’m afraid. Though he is as old as dirt itself and shouldn’t even be associated with the rest of us. You still assaulted one of the lord’s knights, and the punishment for such a crime is death.” Gavin pointed a single finger at Jackson, as he did so the spear Thomas had been using flew up from the ground and hovered in front of the man, business end pointing directly at Jackson. With a flick of his wrist Jackson’s death soared at him as quick as lightning. Jackson was still paralyzed, he tried with all his might to free himself, but it was to no avail. The spear grew closer and closer, Jackson knew this would be the end of his story already. He would never see his mother again, wait, that thought, Jackson began to think about his mother; her face, her eyes, her hair. He would see her again, he had to. The thought of his mother, caused his chi to boil out. Jackson felt pure rage over the thought of being separated from his mother. He wrenched his body forward, tried to dive, and finally just as the spear tip reached him he managed to dive over it, well almost over it. The blade grazed his leg, sending white hot fire throughout his leg. It wouldn’t slow him down though, as he came up out of a roll he lunged at Gavin. He closed the distance quickly, the whole time gathering up chi for the iron fist. In the short amount of time he couldn’t gather much, but he knew it would be enough to at least give him some time to ready another one. He threw his fist straight towards Gavin whose eyes were as big as walnuts. Jackson couldn’t help but smile at the cocky mans change of heart. As his fist neared, Gavin’s expression changed from fear to a smile. The man raised his hand and caught Jackson’s fist mid-fire. The chi suddenly vanished, and the next thing Jackson knew he was being raised by his throat by one of Gavin’s hands. “It seems you’re more than meets the eye whelp, but you aren’t the only one who isn’t all he seems. Many have mistaken me for just a magician, all have perished.” Everything started to go black; Jackson had never been very good at breathing while fighting. Master Kwon had always told him it would be his bane if he didn’t learn, and it was turning out to be. Jackson watched as Gavin pointed towards the spear which flew to his hand. Gavin held him close to his face, “Nobody will stop me from taking what is mine, especially not you.” He tossed Jackson into the air with ease. As he raised the spear like a baseball bat, Jackson tensed up. The spear handle came forward faster than anything Jackson had ever seen, it hit home straight in his gut. Launching him into the air, or so he thought, before he got even a few feet Gavin leapt up past him, swinging the spear handle down straight into Jackson’s back. Jackson couldn’t fight the scream that he let out, the pain was worse than anything he’d ever felt. The only thing worse was hitting the ground, not because he hit it so hard, but because as he bounced the spear hit him again in the ribs sending him soaring again. This time, however, Gavin was content watching him soar. Jackson was so disorientated when he landed, he couldn’t tell if he was 10 feet from Gavin, or 100. Though he could barley see him, he could make out his voice. “How is it you are still alive? Hmm…I may have use for you after all.” As he began walking over, Jackson rose to his feet. He wobbled and swayed, trying to muster up some sort of counter attack. Gavin walked right up too him, spear on his back between his shoulders, he eyed Jackson up and down. “Good night whelp” fast as lightning the spear whipped towards his face; there wasn’t even any pain, just blackness. Jackson awoke up sometime later in what seemed to be a prison cell. He looked around to try and find a window or something to the outside. His eyes were almost swollen shut, so he looked for some sort of spot of light. He wobbled around, until he noticed a form in the cell. After a moment, the thing started to talk and he realized who it was, “You and I need to talk about your only chance of leaving here alive.” Gavin’s voice was not melodic as it was earlier. It was dark, evil, and menacing. Jackson knew he wasn’t going to like their “talk” Meanwhile…….
23. You might be able to hit the people who have already posted as dark-lords to make their characters re-incarnations of the King of the Dark Lord...I'd hate to see this piece die because of something small. If you pm me with exactally what you expected of Ryo (is the character going to be a re-incarnation of Ryo or Ryo himself because with John(my character)'s drive to become a hero, it could be inheirited from Ryo himself (just an idea)
24. One word Cardio, cardio, cardio (one word three times.) It's the best way to increase your endurance, at least that I've personally found. I used to jog/run 5-6 miles a week and still I'd get stitches in my side. About 3 months ago I got involved in aerobics with my fiancee and WOW. If you're looking for a way to get rid of those side pains, try it. Make sure you start off slow though, don't jump into an advance class just because you think you can handle it. I tried that and....well not so much. If you try this, or just try to jog/run more and more and you don't see any improvment, make sure you consult a doctor. Just like liamc2 said though it's probably nothing, there are a number of conditions that can result in fatigue.
